You say you did an Uncrossing spell, did you clean your house too? Sometimes even when we uncross ourselves there can be negative energy left in your living space.

I think what Mary Bee said is so wise and I wish I'd paid attention to the importance of that months ago--I did everything backwards! I started by doing work for my situation, with a little success, then I did a cleansing, and things started going even better. But when I really took time to spiritually/physically cleanse my whole house of the past negativity and I committed to that as part of a routine Cleanse & Bless, I've felt all sorts of ways opening. I'm new too, so I think we newbies have to start with the basics of "getting your house in order" ritually, living space and body, and from that the roads of communication open up more easily from and to us to add that extra energy to our spellwork. Or at least that's how it seems to be happening with me. I wish you the best!

Yes, cleansing and protection are the two essential spiritual tasks that everybody neglects at some point.

If your health and stamina don't permit you to do a thorough spiritual-and-physical house-cleaning, then dose your "normal" cleaning supplies with Uncrossing, Cast Off Evil or whatever you like from Lucky Mojo's fine spiritual cleansing supplies. Pray over them, too. Then hand them over to some vigorous able-bodied person to clean your house with. Hello,

I've had a terrible spate of bad luck during these last couple of months and I'm looking for advice on how to rid myself of it or reverse it. I was thinking along the lines of a cleansing bath, along with a cleansing/protection ritual for my home.

I've been poking around the site and have an idea of what I'd like to do, but am by no means an expert and gladly welcome advice on particular products.

One of the questions I have is would it be best to take the bath before the cleansing/protection of the house, or vice versa?

I'd start with the Uncrossing spell kit which includes the 13-Herb Bath as well as Chinese Wash for cleansing your home.

After you've finished the cleansing, you can do some Protection work, like sealing the doors and windows with Protection or Fiery Wall of Protection, and fumigating your home with Protection or Fiery Wall of Protection incense. You could also make a Protection bottle for yourself and any other household residents.

Then you can do an Attraction kit to get the good fortune flowing again!

Absolutely take the bath first, because you'll probably want to use some of the bathwater in the mop bucket when you cleanse the house.

Also, you might want to carry a lucky/protective mojo when you're done with your uncrossing work.

I love using chinese floor wash & peace water so much, that is has brought so much happiness & love into my home that I want to purchase some & do my mothers home, which there is some issues.

Now I know Miss Cat may say this is one of those OCD people again LOL
But will I bring home her bad luck or will I have to take a bath when I am done with her house? Or I am just cleansing her home,and that is it.

You definitely can! I helped the wonderful Madame Pamita (great lucky mojo reseller! If you are in the area of Santa Monica. She ships as well) scrub down her shop before she opened

I dont think you have to scrub the walls. But i would say that you could go to a hardware store and get a pole extender probably in the painting section and see if you can concoct up some kind of contraption lol. You could sage or incense smoke the place too. We did this with Camphor, along with candles, and actual floor wash. So we covered all our bases.

Yeah, you can spritz the swifer with your cleansing mix to do walls and ceilings. As for others helping... only if you *seriously* trust them. If you're cleansing because someone has or may have thrown for you, and you're not sure who it is yet (especially) that's all the more reason to be cautious, IMHO. Someone super close to you might be in on some things with you, the way I was raised, but most spiritual work (of this nature especially) is best to do on your own and keep to yourself. The only exception is like I said above... someone super close to you who knows the work. Remember, this isn't just washing your walls, this is spiritually cleansing, purifying, and blessing your home. It's not something that I personally would leave in the hands of just anyone.

I'm not saying this to discourage or freak anyone out of course, but I think it's just something to keep in mind. When we moved as a kid, my mom had our house keeper help clean up, but she went back on her own to cleanse and bless the place. My mom always told me "Don't ask just anyone to pray for you. Sure, they might pray, but you don't know what they're praying for." I cleanse my mother's offices for her as she doesn't want to be seen doing anything "weird" lol. I don't care who sees me, as it's not going to interfere with my work. But, not to sound like a pessimist, I'm not going to hand a mop bucket to her coworker not knowing what's in that woman's heart.

Hi folks!

I am a designer and I have the inclination to create some "old timey" embroidery templates for flour-sack dishtowels that would have a family/peaceful home blessings theme. (When I am finished I will be putting them up on my website for free download.) How awesome would it be to stitch them with intent and then everyone in the house will touch them often?

Anyone who wants to throw out some ideas for visuals, please do! I have started with the botanicals...like rosemary and basil. Dish towels need simple designs so whatever it is has to be uncomplicated. Help with this would be great. I'm sure you more experienced hoodoo folk will have some fun ideas!

Borage & Pennyroyal? They're some of my go-to favourites for peaceful home. You could also hand-dye the towels with blood-root which is a dye plant that also strengthens family blood bonds.

Hi all. First off, kitty is so much better! Thanks again. BOTH my cats are thriving. I had a consult with an AIRR rootworker and am starting the regimen they suggested. I'd also finished a 13 herb uncrossing bath on Saturday. No more exploding candles

Yesterday I had the MISC (hope I got that right) set an emergency light for me, they chose fiery wall of protection. And I posted a prayer request at CSL. But I'd been feeling kind of weird all that morning. A choking sensation, some chills during yoga. Then I got violently ill to my stomach but apart from horrible dry heaves...nothing else (that I could see) came out. Ick.

Last night I slept through for the first time in a long while. I feel rested this morning. Was this some kind of release/detox? I did yell at the spirits earlier and asked them to get the he**out of my house!

sounds like it, reminds me of an exorcist where sometimes it is violant but effective. I would order a LM fiery wall spell kit and chinese floor wash to cleanse your home from the evil/negative spirits. you can also buy an extra bath of fiery wall, disolve it and wash down the walls with it as well to add protection to the home. Cleaning and protection work seems to be over looked by many but such an important aspect!

Hi DavidScott,

welcome to the forum! The thread you've posted in discusses spiritual cleansing rather than physical cleansing (although in hoodoo the actions are most often combined). For your dust stickiness (which is a problem that many do have in the mundane world!) consider doing a google search on the subject to find the best alternative.

Good combinations from both the spiritual and cleanliness point of view that may help are the following (do a patch test on your wall if you're going to hard scrub though, to make sure it doesn't affect the paint)

Combo #1:
to a mop bucket full of steaming water add:
-1/4 cup pine-sol
-1 capful Chinese Wash
-13 drops of pine essential oil or 13 drops of eucalyptus essential oil
pray that all negativity be banished from the places you wash

Combo#2 (great for windows):
to a mop bucket full of steaming water add:
-1 cup white (pickling) vinegar
-1 cup of strong lemongrass or pine needle tea
-1 pinch of kosher or coarse salt
pray that all the nasties disappear as you work

For those who are smudgers, the following incense combination is one of my go-to faves:
-3 parts frankincense
-1 part myrrh
-1 part benzoin
-2 parts palo alto wood (or sandalwood)

Consider dusting your wall before you wash. This will more than likely fix or minimize the problem. Apart from it's usage in spiritual cleansing, ammonia is supposedly the best wall cleaner around. 1 to 2 cups per gallon of water, but that depends on the amount of build up you're dealing with. To this mixture you can add essential oils or crystals of your choice. Know too that if your walls are just long overdue for washing or painting they may just need a second pass with the rag. Just an update. THANK YOU to all who wished me and my kitties well. they are doing great. And I have noticed some real progress in how I feel, too. I am rested today for the first time in weeks. Sleeping through the night---and my girl cat (who'd been hiding in the closet or under the bed since the mess began) slept close on the bed with me all night and purred. I was a little exhausted after washing down the house, but after I snoozed a little I felt so much better. Things seem...lighter. Fingers crossed! I am still doing the uncrossing work and the cats are doing so great. But still get some unnerving stuff happens. Yesterday being Saturday, I saged and really scrubbed the apartment down from top to bottom and re anointed things with Fiery Wall of Protection oil. I was tired but glad I really put my back into the cleansing, then had a ritual bath after that. Went to bed early---wiped out tired!

Well, BOTH cats coughed up huge hairballs not long after I finished cleaning; the one who'd been so sick---this is a good sign as he's grooming himself now, but really.

And this morning, again in my yoga class, I had to run out to the bathroom because I was so nauseous. Horrible dry retches, nothing visible coming out, but wow, I sure could feel something moving. I've been having effects like that almost every day, sometimes prolonged, sometimes brief. Always sudden unexpected dry heaves for no reason (and I'm eating regularly, so the fact nothing comes up is a little odd)....How long do these effects last? And how do you know things are working as they should?

First you should get a reading to see what if anything is on you and if a person purposly put it on you or accident (evil eye) and if its a spirit or not. All can determine how it effects you and how hard it is to remove. sure the cat coughing that up is a good sign, yet its also a natural thing cats do. Now you dry heving but nothing coming out sounds like you are ridding of something to me. How long does it take? depends, how good are you at the work, who is doing it to you and how persistent are they. Id get a reading and see what to do, till then keep up the cleansing and protection. you may be interested in a fiery wall mojo or spell kit also.. last id say is pray and light candles to st michael for protection.

Hi, thanks for the advice. I did get a reading---and am following the rootworker's advice on how to uncross. But the person doing the work is persistent and determined. I won't even elaborate, it's just bad news.

St. Michael has been very good to me and the cats, I made a donation in his name to the local police benevolent fund as thanks. Believe me, my cat was all but dead a month ago. It was a bona fide miracle he survived. It'll be a while I know but I am hoping things dissipate over time.

Thanks Miss M. I am planning to do that (but being on a fixed income means patience). In the meantime I am smudging and keeping up with my prayers and work and leaving fresh flowers from our building garden to the saints I am working with. The most striking thing I have noticed is that the sick feeling comes on without warning...and especially if I am at the altar speaking with St. Cipriano (who I have asked to work with me in addition to St. Michael). Believe me, nothing but nothing visible emerges but the reflex is very violent and leaves me in pain across the diaphragm for hours afterwards. I don't get sick to my stomach if I can help it, trust me, so this is a huge release of some kind. We'll see what happens. In the meantime, I am alsopraying to St. Dymphna and Archangel Jophiel for assistance, and also to St. Rita---for some reason I feel very drawn to her. Thank you again!

Ugh, your description sounds very distressing. I've looked over your posts, and I don't see ANY mention of "real world" medical attention. You have ruled out physical causes, right? It's not at all uncommon to have physical as well as spiritual factors present in an "unnatural" illness.

Hi Miss M...yes, there's no medical reason for this. I checked with the doctor. My appetite and digestion are normal, no ulcers, or food poisoning. Not anxiety either. And the fact I generally do not get sick this way at all (if I can help it) means something is determined to get out. Feeling better today, since I started putting water under the bed each night. With the new moon coming, who knows what's afoot?

One last note on this bizarre phenom...when I am at my altar talking with St. Cipriano (I have asked his help in getting rid of these crossed conditions), that's usually when I get 'sick' afterwards. though it happens at other times as well. Like when I speak about the situation with another magical worker, or am disposing of things at the crossroads. I know he works fast and is a master magical worker, so maybe he's just doing his thing.

Hi all. I am following the AIRR rootworker's advice and special recipe for a housewash. Working hard today because it's a Tuesday and the moon is almost dark, keeping the bad things at bay Are there any special places/things to hit extra hard with the cleansing wash? I know about windows (clean them in and out), mirrors, anything glass, computer and tv screens, phones, statues, dolls. I also do extra clean down anything pertaining to the situation and of course spritz the kittys too Plus the toliet bowl, all drains, floors, etc. Any other places that negativity can hang out and thus needs extra cleaning? After cleaning, I anoint with Fiery Wall of Protection oil as needed. Interesting that today as I cleaned, all kinds of interference happened too. The squeegee kept going astray on the windows, things I'd just wiped down suddenly fell to the ground, all that kind of stuff. I'd done a huge cleansing on Saturday (six hours' worth) so was surprised tings had come back in so short a time, but know those working are persistent. Any insights welcome! I have added the wash to my laundry and dish detergents as well, plus my all purpose cleaner so I am using it on a daily basis in many cases Thanks much!

I would cleanse the whole house and also use a good cleansing insense as well. May also want to use ammonia to cleanse the steps and walk way of your home. Id also examine your house and yard rather carefully to see if thiss person may have burried something in the yard or laid tricks. If so id properly cleanse and dispose in those areas as well. Now if this person is persistant then you will be doing a lot of cleansing unless you move foward and do protection work. Id do the fiery wall spell kit and id look into some of teh home protection items such as st michael cards and burrying in the 4 corners of your yard. you can also disolve fiery wall bath crystals in the water when cleaning the home. Thanks. I am smudging in addition to the cleansing work and of course taking my baths. I did do St. Michael protection packets at my front door and back window, as advised. They fall over on a regular basis but I put them back up and re-anoint them with FWP oil. At least the candles I burn to him no longer ctrack and explode (I had three do that early on for no known reason I don't think there was work or tricks involved here, it was likely done electronically via using the other party's phone/computer and thus capturing my energy. I did have a strange call Saturday as I was cleaning. Since I was expecting a call on the land line, I answered. No one said a word, it was not a computer generated call, there was definitely another being at the other end. After that the crap started up again, though after six hours of cleaning I think I kept it at bay. Will definitely look at doing the spell with my next check (fixed incomes suck ) as the perpetrator who hires the worker is not only unbalanced emotionally (addiction issues), she has unlimited access to money and a worker who will obviously continue the work even if it is no longer required. that's all I will say on THAT. Hello teachers,

I just read about a shaking salt bottle spell for protection. I have done egg cleansing and it does help. So I am wondering:

1) has anyone has ever make a shaking Cleansing Bottle spell on themselves?

2) If such a thing exsits, do I use Florida water, my picture, hair and put in a baby jar along with cleansing herbs like camphor, rue, spearmint, sage and benzoin?

3) Will the bottle be gassy with the camphor and benzoin?

4) Which psalm do I recite for cleansing?

5) Has anyone has try putting camphor and benzoin in Uncrossing oil bottle for the extra oomf? I noticed camphor and benzoin are flammable on charcoal and benzoin melts and turns plastic when cool.

6) I recently wrote and send an 8 page letter to my parents about how I really feel about them calling my ancesters for me leaving the bloodline to punish me and I wrote what kind of a man he really is since I was a child. Well instead of him accepting the truth, it got worse and I had one of my symbolic dreams that he is really pissed.

1) I have never heard of a a shaking salt bottle spell for protection and see no reason to use a bottle spell for cleansing. Shaen bottles are used on people who are distant. You are not distant from yourself. You are right there. Cleansing is a physical act as well as a metaphysical and when done on yourself -- well, you do it on yourself, not in a bottle!

2) Just take a spiritual bath!

3) Camphor and Benzoin are dried tree sap; they don't produce gasses.

4) Psalms 51 is commonly spoken for cleansing from your own sins, but Psalm 23 is said for general blessings.

5) Sure, you could add those, but our Uncrossing oil is plenty "oomfy" as it is.

6) Sending a letter like that is often an invitation to family drama. I suggest you walk away from the drama and live your own life in good cheer and hopeful willingness to help yourself and others.

7) I received an order from Southern California. If you are there, then, yes, i got it -- and i will be making it soon.

I was on an emotional breakdown for days after my shaman did space clearing to get rid of the lingering spirits in my apartment to the light.
But after I wrote it, I felt better. I told them, to stop thinking about me. I didn't go into details about the dormant gene in the family tree because the asian culture don't believe in it.
The Mirror Jars that I bought from Deacon Millett did help minimize the psychic attacks. I don't feel like I want to pass out, dizzy, very forgetful and inflammed anymore. And according to my 2 different shamans. Those dark energies came mainly from my mother which I care alot less about going to her funeral whenever she finally die. But because I don't carry nor own any pictures of my bloodline, the link in the mirror jars were a little weak...as in, I still feel the cord attachments to my 3rd eye and crown chakra if I don't have any protection candles burning.

I looked forward to getting that amulet soon and replacing my mojo bags afterwards. Thanks Cat.

This site is specific to LM products and hoodoo. though many religions and spiritual practices have found great advice and success through LM store and forum, it still is hoodoo specific. questions specific to a culture outside of hoodoo would have to be addressed by an individual in that culture. Though you did mention working with 3 individuals (excessive?) and one being Deacon Millett. So I have to ask, why come to a forum and ask what to do then asking the person who specifically is helping you with this issue? Thats like going to web md for a health issue then to your doctor telling him what to fix. trust your expert you chose to work with. Mojo bags can be a very powerful form of protection that would not need to be replaced with a amulet, but again cultural preference may take heed in this selection. As cat stated you should be cleaning you, your area and then protecting yourself. Thanks everyone for the advice and good vibes and prayers. Just did the Saturday house cleanse and took the leftover water to the crossroads along with the egg I'd had under the bed for the last week. When I threw the egg into the trash container there, I actually got dizzy after it broke! Now I'm home but the crows (a whole murder of them around here) are cawing mightily in the ficus tree so something's up but I don't care, just finished boiling herbs for a nice cleansing bath.I still get sickish now and then but it's usually after I've been praying to St. Cipriano, asking for his help with uncrossing.I figure that's just his energy doing its thing.

Hi everyone,
I made a boo boo. I did a cleansing bath that I read about on this forum that you use Reckitt's Blue and salt to bathe from head to toe before dawn then using the left over water to wipe out my house from back to front and it would remove any kind of bad luck or curse. I did it the first time a few weeks ago and the very next day I got 5 orders in my business online (normally I would get 1 order every 4-5 days if I am lucky). After that I got at least 2 orders everyday, business was going well. Then, like 2 weeks passed and the sales begun to dwindle to about 1 every other day so I thought I would do the cleansing again to boost my sales. I figured that whatever someone (I believe it is a relative of mine) had put on me before they had tried to put it on me again. Long story short, I did the wash again and wiped my house with the water and now I have not had 1 single order in over a week! I wish I had not done it again because it seems it made my situation worse. I guess it is because the second time around I didn't discard the water outside my yard like I was supposed to and I took a shower after the wash. Or, it could be that I was menstruating during the second wash and not the first time that I did it. I'm not sure but things are not going well and I need help. Also, I need something to help with a tenant who absolutely refuses to pay her rent. No matter what I say or do she simply says "I don't have it!"

. The other day she tried to start a fight with because she was determined she is not paying because she is not working. As you can see I need help, fast.

Should I try doing over the cleanse another time but doing it exactly as I did the first time? Thanks for all your help.

I would suggest getting a reading, to determine the cause of your swing in luck. Guessing at causes and then trying to sort it out is a lot like shooting in the dark.

If only I had the money to do that. I can't afford a reading right now that's why I haven't gotten one as yet. Trust me, I would love to get a reading so I can get some peace of mind. I'm just seeking some help on a possible solution from anyone who had an idea or who this has happened to before.

After doing a cleansing you should follow with some form of protection to prevent this situation again, even consider reversing it on them. Also after getting rid of the mess, you would want to use attraction products, including the spell kit, lodestones, the oil, 7 day candle, with the intention of drawing in more customers. LM also sells oils and mojos for business and prosperity success. If you think you cleansed away the good luck that makes no sense either the work does what it suppose to or it falls to the ground, it does not cause opposite effects. If you think you messed the wash up then do it again the right way light a candle to st michael and follow it with attraction work.. best of luck

Thank you for your advice. I know that it's not possible to wash the good luck away. I believe that whoever was trying to get me did some work again or because I didn't do it properly then I spoiled the results. I'm going to try to purchase a mojo hand for protection and try to redo the cleansing following the steps to the 't'. Hopefully, after I do those things I'll have some success so I can stock up on some other herbs and roots and get some help from a rootworker. I never want to end up back in this rut again. Thanks to the other members who tried to assist me.

if I would like to put a mix of herbs on my head when I am sleeping for removing the astral blocks and the bad energy, Which herbs I could mix and use for clean the bad energy and cut the bad influence that I could have on it?

I don't know of a method for putting a poultice of herbs on the head, but there are some herbs that you could put into a small bag and sew or place inside or under your pillow.

Lemongrass is one of my favorites for clearing negative energy. You could dress a little sachet packet of it with some Florida water. Camphor is often used, but I think it would be too strong for you to sleep on. Althaea is a good one to use as well as flax seed. Hops is good for soothing and healing.

To strengthen your psychic energy you would turn to things like anise seed, fennel seed, celery seed.

Now I have been staying in a room at my parent's house. This room has been my den

I have done honey jars in this room, said my prayers dine other love majic here as well and have seen good times there. I have also cried myself to sleep when things were down as well as spent some stressful sleepless nights in this room. But now I am swapping rooms with another family member.
I don't wanna leave my energy behind for this family member. I will take my honey jars and vacuum this room since it's carpeted. Leave the window open for any negativity if present to get out. I can't really wash it coz of the carpet and wood walls. I'll wash the bedding as well.
Am I on the right track? Anything else I can do so the person's aura (if that's the right word to use here) doesn't get effected by mine. I want them to make it their room till they live in it.
