Is the "traffic tracking" level of on-line affiliate still available? On the page explaining the program, there is a link to the Black Cat Root Shack, but clicking on what looks like the affiliate link there does not take you to Lucky Mojo. Is lara still the one to email for a link?

To the best of my knowledge, Lara is no longer affilated with Lucky Mojo or AIRR and has closed the Black Cat Root Shack, at least on Ebay.

Thanks, but I'd already figured that out from some other posts. My real question is, is the on-line affiliate program, specifically the traffic tracking level, still active, and who do I contact to set it up? The webpage about it is dated 2009, and, as you have noted, has some obsolete information.

I have ordered from them and waited three odd months, to the point where I canceled the order & asked for a re-fund. I am aware that LM make their supplies fresh, but I doubt that it would take that long. Even if you order normal products from them (some incense for example - non-LM) I waited about 6-7 weeks for the delivery... This was standard incense.

I don't think they stock products, I think they order when the need arises, their probably slow to order on their end causing such delays.

I have ordered direct from LM for my recent order & I hope that shipping won't be too much (it shouldn't be, I don't think.)

I'm not sure what to make of pagan-magic, many reviewers have had the same problem. I know you made your post some time ago, but for the benefit of others I thought I'd throw in my experience dealing with them.

I found a post wrote by sugarbaby said ups flat rate box is the best option, she bought about 9kg items, only cost her around 20 pounds for shipping...consider ...(you know) selling stuff so expensive...especially, vigil candle... I think the shipping fees is reasonable.

Pagan magic give me the same issue, why are they selling products they don't have? yet refuse to list them as out of stock.

It's actually quicker and cheaper to buy from LM direct, I find Pagan magic very misleading.

Is a licence required for foreign wholesale orders as Ebay Australia doesnt require a licence to sell.

The reason we need a copy of your business license is that we do not charge California state sales tax to our wholesale customers and our state, California, requires that we keep business licenses of all of our wholesale customers on file so we can prove that we had a legitimate and legal reason to not collect sales tax from them, either because they do business in another state or because they are actual wholesale customers.

Here is the place i found to check for business licensing requirements in Australia:

The Business Licence Information Service (BLIS) is a free service that provides details of all licences you may require to operate your business in Australia, including Commonwealth, State/Territory and Local Government requirements.

From there you pick your state or territory and you will be directed to addresses, phone numbers, web sites, and free information packets to download.

i used the search option and didnt find anything so here it is.
ive recently come across this website: it is called black cat hoodoo, located in az, it seems.

most of the descriptions for their products are the
same as lucky mojo's. and also, the products are very similar to the ones in the lucky mojo shop.
however, im surprised that they don't have some kind of statement that
mentions their connection to lucky mojo.

they dont seem to be in business any longer.

does anybody know if there are any copyright issues with this site?

Jazzie, thanks for pointing out the Black Cat Hoodoo shop in Arizona.

Most of the online catalogue consists of names almost identical with Lucky Mojo products, complete with SKU numbers almost identical with Lucky Mojo SKU numbers (e.g. OIL-DRS-XXXX where we would have OIL-HOO-XXXX). It looks like it was deliberately intended to create confusion in the mind of the buyer.

I thought at first that you were referring to Black Cat Root Shack in Texas, formerly run by my friend Lara Rivera. As one time Lara was not only the web mistress of our Lucky Mojo Catalogue sub-site, but she helped us start up this forum. She was also, at that time, the largest Lucky Mojo (and hoodoo in general) reseller on ebay. Health problems and the need to pay attention to her family caused her to bring her business to a close, but she had her web sites pre-registered for several years, so she has kept them open and there are links on them which she has graciously and kindly pointed back to our home site. She remains a friend, as does her husband Dave, who still does occasional computer programming for us.

this store is called black cat hoodoo and it is located in arizona.

that is precisely what was bothering me about the site.
a person who doesnt know any better assumes that they are getting
lucky mojo products or products associated with lucky mojo,
and everyone knows that lucky mojo products are the best..
so imagine.

it is a very subtle tactic from their part.

The only link to the seller is the name "Noirtees" and, when i looked this up in my database, i found that it connects to a former student of mine, Laura A. Hair of Avondale, AZ, a.k.a. Laura Profits, DBA Argenta, DBA Sister Moon Mystical Supplies, DBA 777 Black Cat Hoodoo, DBA Black Cat Curios, DBA Noir Tees.

Laura Hair graduated from my course, then on 9/10/07 she came for a free three-week apprenticeship with me, but when she was asked to sign our standard apprenticeship non-disclosure agreement (which has been willingly signed by almost 100 apprentices and employees over the years), she got into her car and blew out of here like a bat out of hell.

She is NOT an authorized Lucky Mojo retailer.

Neither of the two phone numbers on the site work, but i have an older number for her from our database and i will be talking with her about how she can move away from the appearance of unfair trade practices that arose due to her semi-copies of my site, right down to the SKUs, creating confusion in the mind of the buyer.

I talked to her this evening and she agreed to change the SKU numbers. I asked her why she doesn't post pictures of her labels or state her name -- and she said she has another job and that they might not approve. I told her that there is a song that i recommend to folks like her who want to enter into the spiritual supply business as experts and practitioners, but at the same time want to hide themselves, like a scared teenager. The name of the song (and the first line of the first verse) is:

It's a powerful message. What it means to me is that if you want to sell spiritual supplies, you need to be a spiritual practitioner, not ashamed of what you do. Her reasons seem kind of bogus because it is unlikely that her employer would even come across her website, and labels and pictures on the products wouldn't necessarily identify her. She should post pictures of her products to make it clear that either she makes them herself or gets them from another source.

Many of my customers seem pleasantly surprised that I sell authentic Lucky Mojo products. I guess there is more fraud out there than I realized.

On ebay your best bets are Mama Micki (as she posted) and Ms. Melanie (the curio and candleshop on ebay). I've bought from both. Melanie usually has a really good inventory and also gives really good readings (if I'm allowed to say that!) And they both ship pretty quickly.

Prior to becoming a distributor i have placed many personal orders. My questions are, do i have to create a new account under my company name when i am using the shopping cart and may I place wholesale orders by telephone?

Thanks for your interest in carrying our products.

1) We will automatically create a new WHOLESALE account number for you if you tell us to. Please be sure to note this in the message area of your order. Say something like:

"This is my first WHOLESALE ORDER and i need a NEW ACCOUNT NUMBER for this order. Do not connect this order to my previous retail account."

The reason you need to be so specific is that the discount is taken in the database based on whether the account number itself is flagged as wholesale or retail -- so if the order were to be added to your extant retail account, the wholesale discount would not be taken.

2) We do not accept wholesale orders by phone or email. We make little, if any, profit on wholesale orders and must streamline them to the max -- just order with the shopping cart and the entire order will be automatically flowed over to the database for invoicing, using the minimal employee work time.

3) Remember that we do not (yet) have a wholesale shopping cart. Your wholesale discount will not show up in your total. The wholesale discount will be taken when the order is transferred to our database.

4) Also, the shipping amount shown on your shopping cart will not be correct (yet) because it will be a flat rate based on your (supposed) retail order. The actual wholesale shipping charge will be calculated after the box is packed and weighed and it will be charged to your card as a second charge.

Not all graduates of my course sell Lucky Mojo products -- or even sell any products at all. Jackie Mathers is a graduate of my course. She has purchased wholesale from us in the past. Her Store is called Lucky 13 Clover. Her most recent wholesale order with Lucky Mojo was placed in November 2011. Ask her what she has in the way of spiritual supplies from Lucky Mojo!

I myself live in MA. I don't believe any local retailers carry Lucky Mojo, but I order from The Curio and Candle Shop on eBay all the time and Ms Melanie ships very quickly from Tennessee.

I wish there was a local shop that carried Lucky Mojo *sigh* But in the meantime, ordering from eBay is great!

I checked The Witch Shop on eBay and they're not currently selling at all. Pagan Magic's official website has no LM products, while their eBay page has a few items as clearance. Perhaps they prefer to sell their own recipes now?

There sometimes are many on eBay selling Lucky Mojo Products, but I have had some not so good experiences with some, so please be warned. There are 2 that have already been mentioned that I would recommend........ Mama Micki and Ms. Melanie, both sell "real" Lucky Mojo Products and both get them shipped very quickly. They are also very nice to deal with.... Ms. Melanie does sell her own products, however they are clearly marked. I suggest you stick to these 2 sellers. I have never had a problem with either one.

I have an update for all you faithful and loyal fans of the Black Cat Root Shack / Dallas Hoodoo Drugstore, formerly run by our dear friend Lara Rivera.

As many of you know, Lara took her shop down when she became ill, moved, and had to scale back on business projects to tend to her health. She is doing fine now, and as part of her spiritual journey, which has brought her closer to Judiasm, she now is known by her Hebrew name, Leah Rivera, and is ready to resume her career as one of the most prominent and well-respected readers and rootworkers in the great state of Texas.

Hello All,

I'd like to know if there are any more retailers of Lucky Mojo items within a 50 mile radius of Washington, D.C. with a store? I spoke with a very nice lady at The Owl's Nest in Fredrick, Md. but they didn't have the items I was looking for. Also, how do I find Mama Micki or Ms Melanie or any other retailers of Lucky Mojo products on Ebay?

Hi everyone. I just registered today, but my wife and I have been ordering products from Lucky Mojo for several years now. We love the products as they have been very helpful too us both. I have found interest in my area from friends and others regarding various amulets and the like. I want to know is it possible to not have the label of the address at the bottom stating it is from lucky mojo on the candle and only what it does on it instead ? can you print personal labels with my name and address on it if i provide information instead of having lucky mojo's address and name on it?

I do not work for the Lucky Mojo Curio Co., but I would strongly say no they do not private-label goods for others. All of their products are hand-made, not factory goods that can be relabelled for wholesale customers.
