once again, i put some follow me boy and some do as I say oil, in his trainer shoes... both.... so i hope it give some effect....

i dont feel lucky when i do this stuff

maybe i should only use it to dress the candles and do it that way?!

If you are doubting your work as you do it, then you are only working against yourself. You can't expect stellar results when you are worrying and doubting and otherwise injecting so much negative energy into it. You need to be confident and filled with faith as you work.

You may wish to spend a bit of time working to shore up your own confidence and bolster your faith before trying any more work on your situation. You can always have a worker set lights for you, or do other work on your behalf in the meantime.

Hello,

I need help with another way to charge my Green Aventurine. The practitioner who worked with me told me to charge it in sunlight, but where I live has been dark and raining the past couple of days. It is supposed to rain all week, so the chances of getting some sunshine are very slim.

Crystals aren't worked with too much in traditional conjure, so you're not likely to find a great deal of alternative methods unique to hoodoo. You could, of course, pass it through cleansing smoke - such as sage -, or wash it with Holy Water to cleanse it, and then through an empowering smoke such as frankincense, &/or anoint it with a condition oil appropriate to your usage while praying that it aid in your petition. That would be in line with how conjure workers would work with a natural spirit mineral ally, such as lodestone or pyrite.

But there are many ways to charge a crystal, and while discussing those is off-topic for this specific forum, if you google the topic you will find many techniques and I'm sure one will work well for you.

Once you get it cleansed and working using whatever technique you decide upon, I would suggest anointing it with an appropriate oil and praying over it before using in a conjure working. That way you will be working it in the same manner as the rest of your herb spirits and such for the working - making the work more harmonious and cohesive.

I have some pentacle jewelry I acquired in the past and would like to know if I can anoint them. They are sterling silver. I have a necklace for protection and a ring for money and a ring for gambling. How can I anoint one with out putting a different type oil on the other. I normally don't wear the jewelry everyday, but would like to. Would this be a problem and could I bathe in the jewelry as well.

I dress my various pieces of jewelry with appropriate condition oils - that's a perfectly fine practice. Pray over them strongly while you dress them.

Wash your hands between dressing one item and another.

If your jewelry can be in the water, like gold or sterling, then yes you can wear it when bathing.

I Really think anything is possible in some way so, when you touch a crystal point or herkimer crystal, they have this vibrating energy in it you can feel it. Is there any way to give that vibrating touch to jewelry, feel like its a powerful charm.?

This question really has nothing to do with hoodoo, let alone with any Lucky Mojo products or services. As such it is off-topic for this forum, and I will locking this thread.

You can certainly empower items through prayer and ritual work, and once they are working strongly some would be able to sense the power in it some way.

But there's no one way to do this. If you want to make a particular piece of jewelry work for a certain intent, then say whatever prayers and use whatever condition products are appropriate to your petition. If you want it to draw money than use Money-Drawing or one of the other money oils, if you want it to draw love then use Love Me or one of the other love oils, just want to generally empower it then use a product line like Van Van. If you like repeat that process over a certain number of days - 3, 7, 9, 13. See how it feels to you then.

But have the only goal of the work be that you can sense it vibrating seems rather silly.

I think that is composed of a number of different small charms pieced together to form some sort of milage charm probably made by a talisman.

I am not that sure what combining those small charms would mean and how they would be used but they are looking to be of great work to guide and bless the person with various pieces in it.

Well, I'd start by using planetary Sun oil. Depending on what kind of talisman you're using, there are sometimes already psalms or other prayers associated with them, and if that was the case I would use that and pray it over it, letting your breath fall onto it. You could pass it through the planetary Sun incense. You could dress and burn a gold candle with Sun oil on top of it. You could put it out into the rays of the noontime sun and pray over it.

The possibilities are pretty numerous.

What would be a good curio to represent symbolically time or a season. I want to use it similar to like throwing the bones? This might entail a few of these objects. Example. I have a very old fossil that I use (depending on it's position) tells me if we are looking at something in the past or not. One day a friend asked me about this and I have searched this site but I might have missed it. So, I called the office and the kind lady asked me to post it on the Forum. I'll keep looking but appreciate the assistance.

I find keeping things simple works the best. To represent time have you considered a watch? In working with the watch, you may find the way the watch lands to represent the past or the future. Or you could use an old watch for the past, a new watch for the future. To represents the seasons, you may try using nature - such a roots, twigs, flowers, stones - anything that you gather during a season.

Hi, so I acquired a lovely ring that belonged to several anscestors. I believe its native american. It has been handed down for over who knows how many years or centuries. Excited to be the lucky new owner, I immediately cleansed it with van van oil and tossed it on my finger. Because this ring has a horse shoe carved into it I've been dressing it with LM's Good Luck oil. Can anyone provide any suggestions on what i can use to link my anscestors spirits to the ring? Any other ideas on what can be done with jewelry would be great. Thx.

Does anyone have any additional information they might share on the acrylic Mexican lucky pyramids and Buddha statues with the assorted talismans inside?

I just purchased one of each here in the online shop, but would love to have more information about any lore surrounding them and their use.

They were mentioned briefly by the late S. Jason Black in his book "Urban Voodoo", but without much further information beyond a brief description beyond what they look like and their ubiquity around the botanicas here in Los Angeles.

Are there any customary ways of dressing, charging, or using them in practical work? Any info, leads, or anecdotes would be much appreciated!

They date from the late 1980s or early 1990s. They are handmade, each one different, and seem to be manufactured in small runs by back-yard artisans, not in factories. See:

They are not "traditional" in any long-term sense, but represent the usual cross-cultural and exploratory recombinance of folkloric magical practices worldwide. The styles change continuously; the Buddha figures of the 1990s have given way to Mano Poderosas in the early 2000s, and now we see a lot of them with figures of Santisima Muerte inside.

Yes, there don't seem to be as many of them being sold as were a few years ago, and while one sees a lot of them displayed in local botanicas and small businesses in the Latin community, they're not that easy to come by if one wishes to buy one.

In addition to the Pyramid and Buddha I just ordered from you today, I managed to purchase 3 very nice pyramids here in LA.

The young lady who helped me said that the largest one in the center was for Prosperity and Business Success, the smallest on the left for Protection and Power, and the medium-sized one on the right for Protection and Abundance. They also had a large number of blue ones the same size as the largest of these three, all containing figurines of La Sanctissima Muerte, who is much revered here in Los Angeles as protectress of those forsaken or actively persecuted by Establishment society.

Typically a talisman or amulet that you, or she, would wear protects only the wearer. You could, however have a talisman or amulet made up for the protection of the house and hang it somewhere in the house, over the front door, etc.

Yes, the skull is a protective charm -- but it also reminds you what kind of mojo bag you have -- which is to keep you uncrossed. The charge, if any, is minor; you pay postage both ways and also for a bottle of oil and a packet of incense i will use in the work (in this case Marriage oil and Marriage incense powders). I will send you the remnants of the materials, too, so that you can use them as you wish.

There are numerous talismans that you can use you can order a Triple Strength Protective Mojo from LM, they also have that evil eye charm as that you can dress with Fiery Oil of Protection which LM also sell. Or if your in a bind on Saturday when the moon is waxing at 1,8am or,3,10 pm make the planetary sigil for Saturn which is know for being protective anoint it with some Saturn oil or the oil of your zodiac light you an astral candle with the appropriate oil and say Psalms 23 or just a sincere prayer from the heart and there you have a protective talisman. I live near the James River and also Colonial Williamsburg. While walking along the banks of the river, I have found many pieces of Indian tobacco pipe stems ranging from 1" to 2.5" long. I'm sure they are very powerful but would like to know what attributes these artifacts would have in the mojo world. They are made of clay so I guess they would qualify as a talisman of sorts. Any opinions on their use?

I purchased a charm necklace that includes an evil eye and horseshoe. I want the evil eye to keep me invisible to my enemies. I plan on consecrating 7 days with LM oils. My question is since it is a luck/protection combo, which oils and incense can I use? I have FWP oil, cast off evil oil, run devil run incense. I am looking to purchase fast luck since it is also lucky in love. I would love any suggestions.

I don't know what power they would carry specifically. Someone else will know better. But, lately, I've been checking things like this with a Ghost Meter just to make sure that they are not carrying any negative energies.

Dancing Goat, not everything we see or find in this world has inherent magical or spiritual "power" or "meaning." Even among those things that are culturally accepted as being of interest to occultists, magicians, hoodoo rootworkers, Spiritualist mediums, shamans, and the like, a given item's employment may not be as a "talisman" but rather as a touchstone or personal concern that enables a sensitive medium to contact the maker or previous owner.

In addition to using the Astrological products and the correct timing, I have used a looking glass and burnt my Sun talismans a bit. Sometimes I used it to burn the symbols themselves on a piece of wood. I think it gives them a very nice touch.

Hi all,
I recently joined the forum, and I've been browsing the forum when I have questions. I don't see an 'Introduce yourself" thread, but figured I could start here.

I am looking for a talisman, but nothing is really speaking to me.

1. Do any of you have suggestions regarding "how" to pick a talisman?

2. Is it based upon what I'm seeking at the moment?

3.Or do I use an animal I'm familiar with?

4. I'm also concerned about my talisman or charms changing; I seem to have this impression that once I pick something, I'm stuck with it forever. Is that the case?

I'm sorry if I sound super ignorant, but I'm a newbie to all of this and learning one day at a time. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
