An introduction from Massachusetts

Unread post by Kyra2 » Thu Aug 13, 2009 5:20 am

Greetings to everyone,

I'm attempting to be brief, but I'm not sure how successful I was. :)

For a fair share of my life I have been a witch, faery seer/doctor, reiki master, herbalist, ordained wiccan minister/HPS.

A good friend of mine, Orion Foxwood, recommended Cat's website. He's a faery seer/doctor, Appalachian conjure man and traditional witch. I'm about 1/2 way through his seership apprenticeship program which I saw as a wonderful learning and growing opportunity that would expand my current practice (it has also included quite a bit of conjure and witchcraft, a wonderful bonus). I'm starting year 4 of the program which meets twice a year. I'm in the Florida group and fly down there to study. There are groups, both beginning and advanced all across the country.

It took me a few months to get over to the Lucky Mojo website, but when I finally did, I devoured it (last week in fact). It fits perfectly into my practical workings. I was also reminded just how many things that I've learned from Orion are hoodoo or conjure in theory, practice or nature.

I am ordering Cat's book this week and some house blessing supplies (as I've not done a formal blessing yet on our new place and we've been there 9 months! I have only incensed it and done some basic floor washing/vacuuming.). I also have a number of friends who have come to me with various issues that this type of work would be great for according to my contacts. So I'll be asking some questions and ordering some more supplies.

I also would like to take Cat's correspondence course and have already looked over a fair amount of the homework. I am not sure how many orders or how much time it takes before I'll be allowed to do that. Any clues would be helpful as I do not want to ask too early.

Personally, my contacts have taken me all over the country to do "things" for people. I've always trusted the process and consider helping these people with their difficult situations as my vocation.

I work in computers as a database architect/administrator (used to be a programmer). My work in computers has allowed me to be able to do these spiritual/healing services for people on a donation basis. I only ask that the supplies are paid for (and sometimes not even that). Anything after that is appreciated, but not required.

Recently we have actually settled in Massachusetts and I and my husband have been gifted with permanent jobs. I have stopped traveling as a computer contractor. I love Mass! An amazing piece of wooded land with a terrific little house on it stepped forward. It was priced reasonably, so we purchased it.

My contacts and I have been working together to make a place where people and spirits (fae, departed and others) can come and share and be and grow spiritually. Orion will be coming out a number of times a year to teach seership, conjure and witchcraft on the land. I feel very blessed to be the hostess for these events.

I guess that is enough and I look forward to connecting with the people on this board.
