Dear Miss Cat and all the moderators that have answered my questions till date..thank you very much to begin with.

I understand that the LM staff is super busy. I can say that I really know it to be a fact looking at the order numbers of two orders that I placed with a gap of 8 days in between.

I appreciate the help you people are giving here on the forum in spite of busy schedules. Many times I wanted to say that, but I just kept quite since I did not know in what sense it will be taken.

I read some post threadss that ran for 20-25 pages and ppl asking the same questions again and again and few moderators very patiently replying the same questions again and again and again . So I do understand why some of the answers seem like slap in the face - You are bound to lose patience at some point.

I would also like to say that any time I ask a question I do not ask out of impatience or by expecting too much either from the staff or forum members or the success of the work I am hoping to carry out once my supplies arrive. Rather I put my question across respectfully only hoping (and not with any other kind of expectation) that someone can give me a reply most apt for me and I did receive help many times.

That being said I placed an order from the online shopping cart, <<<not by calling the MISC>>> and by the time I called the shop to confirm they received the photos and petition (I honestly did not know that the shop was different and the church was different), the order was not in the system yet and he said the photo and the message will go to the candle setter and it will be lit in about 3 days time.

So I told him that I requested synchronous setting of a dressed Lucky Mojo candle to be mailed to me (though it was already also mentioned in the massage area heading and the email subject) and he suggested that the order will take time.

Sure many people do it without problems but it's my first time.

And I was not complaining..I only mentioned what I did when i placed the order.

4) If i order 3 candles, will they be set at the same time or separately?

What you are talking about is Sequential Burn in runs or a Continual Candle Service. Sometimes a recommendation is made to burn another candle...sometimes a recommendation is made to add a different type of candle burn to increase success of your petition. It all depends....Candle burning time is a result of many factors... I would call the shop and ask if your candle has been set and if a report has been sent.

newbie, if you church order said to HOLD THE CANDLES for a simultaneous burn, that is what the church deacons will do. You will have to PHONE or EMAIL the church to get them to set the lights when you get your package from LMCCo and are ready for the simultaneous burn.

2) Yes -- but you are confused -- think: why would people want unlabelled candles set at the church where no one they know will see them? Simple: they don't want US to know their work! We have one client who has set unlabelled white and unlabelled green candles in the church for three years -- and we have never seen her petitions.

3) You may set more candles and we will report on how well they burn. Sometimes they improve, sometimes they turn up strange signs in the glass, sometimes they get worse over tie. The divination is a free or extra result we give you after performing the spell. Some folks don't want the report at all -- they just want to set the candles.The above-mentioned lady with the white and green unlabelled candles specifically asks for no reports. We serve you, not some pre-conceived notion of what we think is best for you. That's why we are called candle SERVERS.

Hi Patrick, I'm in no way a professional, but I think maybe you should do some cut and clear, cleansing and healing works and add a st expedite candle too. I would not try to effect his free will, If I were you I would work on myself right now so that I could have a clear path to find someone who will want me without persuasin and from the beginning. You seem to be a person with a lot of love to give, and I would hate to see that light in you burn out and you miss that perfect person because you didn't work on yourself first. I pray everything goes great for you and you reach your happiest potential.

Very sweet.
It is easy to do a cut and clear but there are many lovers who would rather live alone in the thoughts and memories of their beloved rather than cut and clear and go looking for another mate.

But that sample is very less and hence so many suggestions for cut and clear.

Some relationships are just that.. beautiful memories and can never ever be replaced by anything/anyone else.

You need not cut and clear everybody that you are madly in love with BUT can't be with. You can keep them in your heart and on your mind as long as it takes to naturally outgrow them, which will be never if it really is love.

Such feelings for one particular person are divine and you need not cut and clear him away.

I wanted to share a candle report I received for a memorial candle set for my brother who died a year ago. As you all know its hard to lose a loved one, I was very close to my little brother and still remember how he loved white flowers and how he loved to wear white. He was very sensitive and had been bullied as a child, I remember whopping up on some kids who bullied my brother until my Grandfather told me that wasn't the best way to handle things. When we moved to a ranch things got better for him, he had a natural gift with animals that stayed with him throughout his life.
When he died I had been in shock about his death for a year, I couldn't even speak of it much.
On the anniversary of his death I contacted the candle ministry and they set a candle for him. This morning I received one of the most stunning reports, Miss Dani told me the candle had been lit and it burned steadily, she said that a piece of a white flower had attached itself to the candle during the burning of the candle and that meant my brother heard my wish to let him know how much I loved him. Nobody except me and my Grandfather who died many years ago, knew how my brother adored white flowers.
This was a direct communication from my brother that he heard me. There is no doubt in my mind he spke to me through the candle lighting.
I can't thank Miss Dani enough for putting my heart at ease. I feel such an enormous sense of relief.The grief I have felt for a year has now been lifted.
My heart felt thanks go out to Miss Dani and to the Missionary Spiritual Church and to all of the beautiful candle readers. You are all bright healing lights to others.

Thank you to all the candle servers at MISC! The Steady Work candle I had set for me, while visiting Lucky Mojo on June 1, is done and I received my report last week. It was amazingly accurate, and the work was done before I even got the report -- the burn was clean, and there would be no problems except as indicated by a single tiny piece of herb that clung to the side of the candle, which they said would represent a small and very surmountable obstacle prior to my getting the job. This was exactly what happened -- the pre-employment physical company screwed up and ordered an incorrect test, so I had to return to get the right one. That was it! A minor inconvenience, and I now I am working TWO jobs, not just one, both of which started in the last month while the candle was working. Thank you again to the MISC and the candle servers! Thank you to St Martha who has done quite a lot for me in the past four weeks of my first nine-week novena to her.

The candle setters would greatly appreciate any form of gratitude, whether that comes in the way of a simple thank you, a call letting us know how your work is going, or a monetary tip.

I have questions about the petitions. In which tense they should be written to have the appropriate effect?:

1. XX hot footed from YY and left YY forever
2. XX will hot foot YY and will leave YY forever

For poeticone: In regards to your first question: It is never too late to schedule a reading. A reading can always help to shed light on a situation or let you know how the work is going. As for your second question: It is advisable to have candles running for the same situation at your home and here at the church, we often recommend this exact situation. As far as adding another location with a rootworker, I would recommend that you speak directly to that rootworker. Explain that you have candles burning in other places and let them help you to determine the right steps for your situation. When you and a church, you and a rootworker, or all three are setting lights on the same issue, it is called "backing up the work." You may also be asked to back up the work of a candle ministry by taking spiritual baths or performing other simple spiritual acts on your own behalf.

For vitax: Ultimately, you need to go with the style of petition that feels right for you. Creating petition papers for your own workings in your own space is a little different than creating petitions that we will burn for you here at MISC. But in my personal opinion, I would write the petition out as you have in example #1 when sending the petition for us to light for you at MISC. If you were doing this work at home you could write the petition listing the target's name three times and then crossing over or effacing that name with writing that says something to the effect of "leave my life forever" over and over again without taking your pen off of the paper.

None of those options make sense to me because none of them are in the form of the natural language of affirmative prayer.

1. XX hot footed from YY and left YY forever: This is not a petition. It is in the past tense and hence a false statement. and it is also grammatically incorrect in terms of the way we talk about our work. You do not hot foot someone from someone else. You got foot them, period. Learn more about hot footing here:

2. XX will hot foot YY and will leave YY forever: This is ambiguous, but neither interpretation of the statement makes good sense in terms of hot foot work:

A. If YOU are XX, you would not use a Hot Foot candle in order to get up the courage and wherewithal to leave YY, because that wold be hot footing YOURSELF!

B. If XX is someone named Joe and you are trying to get Joe to break up with Billie, and you want to use a Hot Foot candle to get Billie to wander forever, you would just say, "Billie you will wander forever." You would not say, "Joe, you will hot foot Billie" -- because it is YOU (not Joe) who is hot footing Billie.

3. XX is hot footing YY and leaves YY forever: Again, a senseless petition, as far as i am concerned. This is the same as number 2 above, simply cast into the continuing present tense. The same objections to it still apply.

Ask yourself:

1) Do i actually know what it means to hot foot someone? (See the web page cited above.)

2) Is this the right spell for my intention? That is, do i actually send someone away?

3) Is this hot foot jinx the only work i have in mind or will it be one part of a two-part job, such as (a) breaking up a couple and (b) sending one of the people away -- or will it be one part of a three-part request, such as (a) breaking up a couple, (b) sending one of the people away, and (c) returning the other one to me?

Think it through logically, then form your petition in plain and clear language.

Samples of plain and clear language of this type can be found in The Book of Psalms. Here are two examples used in Hot Foot work:

Psalms 35:
[5] Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them.
[6] Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the LORD persecute them.

Psalms 59
[11] Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield.
[12] For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.
[13] Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob unto the ends of the earth. Selah.
[14] And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.
[15] Let them wander up and down for meat, and grudge if they be not satisfied.

English is not my native language. I asked rather wthether petitions should be written in past, present or future tense.

But I will read as well more about hot footing, because I want to use the MISC candle for breaking-up, in addition to my vinegar jar and brake-up candle which I ordered few days ago.

And your prayer examples helped me a lot, because often in magic people are saying that you should write your petitions as if they happened already. Maybe this not fits to hoodoo.

Since Mother Katrina's post about tips, we've had quite a few questions here at the church about what is an appropriate tip amount to leave the for the candle setters. As candle setters, we are offering you, our clients, a service and just like any other service industry, tipping isn't required, but it is appreciated. The other word for tipping is gratuity and it is a way to show your appreciation for the work that is being done on your behalf.

I consider leaving gratuity for candle services the same as it would be for a massage therapist, a hair dresser, or even a waitress. A tip of any amount is appreciated and a tip from 10% to 20% is customary. As Mother Katrina mentioned, you can leave a tip for a specific candle setter or the candle setter that will be lighting the candle. This can be notated in the message area of your order, until the new system (button) is ready.

You probably already know this, but yesterday was a full moon. Part of the energy of this specific moon was described as feeling like being in a pressure cooker. All of the things that were wanted or desired felt extra intense during this time. In the days leading up to the full moon people were anxious, wanting their desires to come to pass NOW. It should come as no surprise that over the last few days we've lit nearly 20 love and relationship candles per day! According to astrologers as the moon became officially full, the pressure started to lessen and it was easier to detach a bit and see things from a different vantage point. They say that this pushing and pulling (or building and releasing of pressure) is likely to continue over the next little bit. Patience may not be easy during this time.

But don't worry, no matter what the astrological energies, we at Missionary Independent Spiritual Church are always here to help you through these rocky times.

The last week or so the MISC altars have been overflowing with money and prosperity candles. Astrologically speaking, we have had a rather stormy start to the month. The planetary influence has been to live to excess and there is an abundance of energy that can be overwhelming to handle (hence the desire to over-spend or over-indulge). To me, it's no surprise that money issues seem to be up for people at this time. According to professional astrologers this energetic influx is going to have the greatest impact on the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Capricorn, and Libra). The good news is that this energy also brings huge potential; if you can harness this abundance into new projects or a new budget or a new savings plan you will be able to shift money problems and avoid spending to excess.

The good news for the money candles on the MISC altar is that most of them are burning really cleanly. It seems that the energetic potential is helping our clients to find the financial successes that they are working towards.

FAQ -- Frequently Asked Questions about MISC Candle Services

Will you let me know when my candle is lit?
No, you will not get confirmation when your candle is lit. Your confirmation is your order confirmation. The candle will generally be dressed, fixed, and lit on the day after you order it, as the orders are processed from our online shopping cart in batches, and each batch goes to the lab or to the church at the end of the day, ready for work the next day. Over a holiday weekend it may take 2-3 days before your candle is lit. If you order a candle to be held back to be lit on a specific day (the change of the moon, a court date, an anniversary or birth date) we will prepare it and hold it until that date. Since the candle is not shipped, you will not receive a shipping / tracking / customs number by way of confirmation -- your payment is your confirmation. When the candle is finished, we will perform a divination on the results and this will be sent to you in email as a "candle report."

How long will it take to get my candle report?
This depends on several factors. Remember, we light your candles within 1 to 3 days of you placing your order. They are 5 - 7 day vigil candles, so they burn an average of 6 days. Sometimes they take longer, and if they need to be re-lit this will extend the burning time. Once they are finished burning it will be another 2 to 3 days before your candle is read. If you have been waiting longer than two weeks feel free to call the Candle Ministry and check in.

Can I choose my candle setter?
Yes, of course. There are several deacons who function as candle setters at the church, but we don't all work every day, so keep in mind that requesting a specific candle setter may delay your candles getting lit. However, if you like working with a specific candle setter, just ask; we are all available to set your candles if requested.

Can you tell me more about my candle report?
If you have questions about the specific meanings connected to your report we are happy to answer clarifying questions, but anything beyond the basic candle report would require a more in-depth reading. These private candle readings can be scheduled with Rev. Ernest for a small fee.

Can you read my candle for me over the phone?
Yes we can, although this is not a part of the regular candle service and it would require you to pay $15.00 for a ten minute candle reading by Rev. Ernest. Call the church to arrange this when you order, or make a note of it at the end of your petition (for example, "Hold for Rev. Ernest"). Keep in mind that a candle can only provide so much information; if you want or need more you can call the church for a longer reading with one of our readers.

Can I pick the day for my candle to be lit?
Yes, as long as it is more than one day after the day of your order. Many people wish lights to be set on special days such as holidays, court dates, or anniversaries, or on a regular basis, such as the first day of every month. If you need a candle to be set and burning at the moment that any important event begins, please take time zone differences into account. We are on the West Coast of the United States, so if you have a court date or job interview at 9:00 AM in New York's Eastern Time Zone, we will not be able to light your candle in time for you on the date you requested, as it will be 6:00 AM here in California. Therefore, please request that the candle be lit at least one day before your important event, so that it will be burning well at the time of the event.

Will you tell me how my candle is burning if I call and check in on it?
No, due to the number of candles that we burn here at MISC we are unable to give you updates on how your candle is burning. Plus, the glass will change as the candle burns.

Will you write my petition for me?
No, we will need you to write out your petition and include it with your order. We will attempt to contact you if your order is missing a petition, but orders that come through without a petition will be burned with a blessing for your desires to come to pass. On your petition we will need to know your name, the name of the person for whom the candle is being set, and your request for the candle. Birth dates and photos can help, but they are not necessary.

Can I send pictures with my order to be placed on the candle?
Yes, please send any photos that you would like used to photos@missionaryindependent.com -- and send them on the day that you order, not the next day, please.

Do I have to send pictures with my order?
No, you do not have to send pictures, but your petition should at least include names of people, and any other information you have, such as birth dates. Pictures do make the work more easy for your candle-setter to focus on. We creatively cut and craft the pictures, too, depending on the situation.

Will you tell me which candle to light?
We can offer you brief help with choosing the right candle here at the forum, but more in-depth or specific information would need a reading in order to determine your best course of action. This forum is a good place to ask for suggestions. Ultimately, you have to determine which candle you think it best.

Can I have more than one candle lit?
We will light as many candles as you request. We can also set your candles in "a run", which means that we will automatically start the second candle one week after the first candle. We offer runs of three, seven, and thirteen candles at a discount. A run of thirteen candles will burn for one-fourth of a year. If you want a run of candles set, please note this on your order.

Can I leave a tip for my candle setter?
Yes. Our candle servers are happy to accepts tips. You can add this to your order. Tips are split between all of the workers, including the invoice writer, the candle deacons who prepre and tend the candle during the time of its run, and the reader who interprets how it burned. There is a special tip button with a pull-down menu and you can select the amount you wish to tip.

Can I leave a donation for the church?
Yes. There is a donate button on the church website, if you would like to make a donation to our ongoing work of setting free lights for those in need.

From what I understand, the MISC candle workers usually set the candles within a few days of receiving the order, but it's the reports that take a while to be emailed. Is this correct? When I ordered in the past, it once took 8 weeks to receive the reports. I just want to know what to expect this time, since it's been a while.

Hi Mezan, If you had to wait 8 weeks there is a problem and give us a call.

Your candle will be lit 2-3 days after your order. It takes about 7 days to burn and then the candle report will be completed 2-3 days after that.

Thanks for your help!! Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but I think they deserve a tip and want to be sure I send it properly. I swear I read all 7 pages in this thread

Once you go to the check-out option you can have a tip added to your order. In the notes section you can also specify if you want this tip to go to a specific candle setter/reader or whoever happens to be setting candles that day. I sent pictures and information to the ema addreas provided on the candle services page, how do I know if they recieved them and are going to/already using them on my candles? I thought they would let me know if they received them or not and with the right order. Just a little worried

I definitely want pictures to be used.

Eviya88, Joseph is correct, call the shop or the church. We don't send confirmations when pictures are received, but you can trust that any pictures you send are applied to the candles on your order. And if you send in future orders and want the same pictures used, you don't have to re-email them. All pics are kept on your file. All you have to do it put in notes section of your order to use previous pics. But, if you want to confirm that we did, in fact get your email, you can call us to verify.

We're coming out of the Aries Full Moon and diving right into a Mercury retrograde, which is going to last until November 10th. Mercury retrograde creates difficulties in communication, but it also offers us the opportunity to clear our minds and focus on what we really want. This Mercury Retrograde is happening during the sign of Scorpio, which makes this a good time for finding forgiveness, peace making, and giving/receiving blessings. It is also a good time to work on developing psychic abilities or listening to the voices of your allies. These are the positive aspects of this retrograde, but there is the other side of it too...

ive been having a look at the page for altar candles and i cant work out which one to choose for help with finding a rental property? im in urgent need of finding somehwere nice and affordable, its a bad time of year to move as its a very student area and the leases are all on rotation january/july time (im not a student but i cant move area). I need somewhere by the end of december and its proving so difficult to find somewhere! i was hoping i could get some help with my search by having a candle lit at the missionary church?!

Hello,
I hope someone can help me. I would like to have a candlenburned by the MISC on behalf of my husband. He has been fighting the Veteran's Administration to not decrease his benefits, but they are putting him throgh pure hell, he has been deemed unemployable by SS administration, yet they continue to deny him, and claim they list this file, etc. An other words, they are sending him on a wild goose chase.plus the doctors have not finished his surgeries he needs. He needs this money to live.please, which candle sbould I have MISC burn for me.

emma1985, Boss Fix and Steady Work or Crown of Success are logical choices for your work situation.

Come To Me or Attraction are good choices for new love. Attraction is also used to draw money and good luck, but of course you can concentrate your petition on love.

Hello,
I'm wondering how common it is to have very good burns for love-related candles with a specific target, yet things not working out with them at all (it's definitely for the best). I feel like this may indicate a loving relationship will manifest for me, but with a more suitable partner. In other words, one of the "minor obstacles" mentioned in the candle reports could well be the target himself...maybe he has been my obstacle to meeting a great person who will treat me like I deserve? Any related experiences or input would be greatly appreciated!

This is probably more of a testimonial.

I just want to say a big thank you to Katrina who dressed, prayed and set my Return to Me candle at the MISC altar and to Miss Phoenix for Interpreting the results.

After reading the threads here I thought that it would be weeks until I got my report, but from the time I placed my order to the time I got my candle report was 14days!!!!

My candle burnt steadily and I had some obstacles but it was spot on and coincided exactly with the reading from my AIRR rootworker....who is currently doing work on my behalf which out of respect, won't divulge the details whilst work is being carried out.

It's a new year! Yesterday I sat in the church doing a reading and noticed how clean, shiny, and bright everything looked. Last week, we here at the shop, worked our tails off doing the annual spiritual cleanse of Lucky Mojo and MISC. And boy is it ever clean around here! (And I mean this in all the ways possible.) A combination of Follow Me Boy and Pay Me Vigil lights could be effective and adding Cleo May and/or Jezebel oil to either of these can help. A Jezebel light combined with Pay Me oil is another choice.

MISC will light the candle and then give you a candle report when it has finished. They will tell you exactly what they see and what has happened during the candle burning phase. They will tell you the interpretations if anything is left on the glass. They will also make recommendations once they have provided yu with this information

Recently I had some candles lit to aid some love work I was doing on a very shy person. Within the first week after lighting candles at MISC this person showed up at my job more than once and gave me their phone number. Then a few days later we went out.
