Introduction

Unread post by slisenbe » Wed Mar 27, 2013 8:59 am

Hi Everyone, I am glad to be a part of this forum. I have often felt alone because my beliefs do not fit into any one category of denomination or established religious precepts, be they Wiccan or Christian. I was raised by a Pentecostal holiness grandmother and attended her church growing up. As an adult, I attended a Baptist church with my husband but I felt that they had a "form of godliness, but denied the power thereof" (to paraphrase a quote from the Bible). As a follower of the Christian faith, I believe that the works (metaphysical) that Christ did, we should do also and greater works than these because Christ has gone to the Father. I believe that magickal technique is a form or expression of faith in action. I look forward to participating in the forum with you all.

Hello, Slisene, and welcome to the Lucky Mojo forums.

I separated this post from the previous thread, so as not to hijack Ozma's introduction.

I was raised Baptist, and though I retain an strong interest in Christian theology, I am not a Christian. Nonetheless, I agree that the works of Christ are a fine inspiration for the work we do, and that magic is an expression of our relationship with the Divine, however you perceive that force.

I want to thank everyone for their welcoming replies. I am currently requesting to be considered as a student for Miss Cat's correspondence course. I don't think that I mentioned in by introduction post that I am a wife, mother, grandmother and student. I have 5 dogs and no cats at the present. I have been attending a spiritualist church for a couple of years now. I believe that any type of magick is a form of prayer and that affirmative or scientific prayer is a type of magick. I believe the Bible to be the greatest history book of magick or conjure ever written. Over the years, I have experienced great manifesting results from just meditating on the book of Psalms alone.
