Hello from Melbourne
Hello from Melbourne
Hello everyone! Longtime listener/lurker, first time poster. Just thought I'd take a second to introduce myself.
I'm stationed in Melbourne, Australia but am originally from the DC/Northern Virginia area. I'm a teacher by day, magic practitioner by night & have been calling myself a witch for about three years now. I'm a Taurus & am especially drawn to crystals, plant & sky magic, kitchen witchery, & the Tarot. My (somewhat) daily practice involves meditation, divination, sending out good vibes, yoga, & lots of mindfulness. Hopefully I can fill you all in on what's going on in the Australian & Southeast Asian occult & magical scenes -- there's a lot here! Anyway, thank you to everyone involved in this show & forum. Fascinating, helpful, & beautiful information being shared here -- glad to be a part of this community!
Lots of love,
Topaz

Hi Topaz and welcome to the forum! The focus of the forum as you've no doubt already ascertained is African American Rootwork and we look forward to your contributions in the different threads on the subject.

cat's book Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic; you will review excerpts from the book.
Please schedule an hour to listen to the The Lucky Mojo Rootwork Hour

Hello and welcome to the Lucky Mojo Forum, Topaz!
Here are some links for you. Read these web pages from my book "Hoodoo in Theory and Practice" for more preliminary information:
Hoodoo History:
http://luckymojo.com/hoodoohistory.html
Oils:
http://luckymojo.com/oils.html
Baths:

Powders:

Incense:

Candles:

Herbs:

Conditions and how we can address them:
http://luckymojo.com/hoodooataglance.html
Now that you are here in our forum, please take a moment to notice that the board is divided into four parts:
1) News and Announcements about the Lucky Mojo Curio Company and this site.
2) Lucky Mojo Spiritual Supplies and how to use them, listed in threads by product type and product title.
3) Life Conditions and Situations, with recommended Lucky Mojo products, spells, and advice.
4) The Online Hoodoo Community, including sites, events, and outreach sponsored by Lucky Mojo.
When you post, it helps your moderators, who are recompensed volunteers, if you post in the area of the board that is best suited to the archival of your question or comment. That way moderators will not have to move your post or merge it into ongoing threads.
If you can't find a post you made, it may have been moved or merged. Go to your profile by clicking on your name and "search recent posts" -- you will find it.
Within each board section there are STICKY threads -- ones that always stay "stuck" to the top. These are popular discussion-threads that you can read and add to if your questions or comments fall into one of these oft-broached topics. If you don't see a "sticky" that relates to your question, feel free to start a new thread in the relevant section.

Hello Topaz! I lived in Melbourne years ago - I wasn't practicing Hoodoo then. I live in Hong Kong now (where I'm from) and I swap interesting tidbits about Daoist magic with fellow Hoodoo practitioners sometimes. Glad to meet you here!
