Just introducing myself
Just introducing myself
Hello everyone. My name is Tessa and I'm so new to all of this. Awaiting some materials and kits, I'm both nervous but excited about my new possibilities of healing and new beginnings. I thank you all in advance for your wealth of kindness and knowledge.

Re: Just introducing myself
Welcome to the forums Tessa42! There is a ton of amazing and valuable information here for your exploration.
To help you get started here are forum rules and some links to give you a place to begin:
Hoodoo History:
http://luckymojo.com/hoodoohistory.html
Oils:
http://luckymojo.com/oils.html
Baths:
http://luckymojo.com/baths.html
Powders:
http://luckymojo.com/powders.html
Incense:
http://luckymojo.com/incense.html
Candles:
http://luckymojo.com/candlemagic.html
Herbs:
http://herb-magic.com
Conditions and how we can address them:
http://luckymojo.com/hoodooataglance.html
Here is some info on how the forums are set up. It is divided into four parts:
1) News and Announcements about the Lucky Mojo Curio Company and this site.
2) Lucky Mojo Spiritual Supplies and how to use them, listed in threads by product type and product title.
3) Life Conditions and Situations, with recommended Lucky Mojo products, spells, and advice.
4) The Online Hoodoo Community, including sites, events, and outreach sponsored by Lucky Mojo.
When you post, it helps your moderators, who are recompensed volunteers, if you post in the area of the board that is best suited to the archival of your question or comment. That way moderators will not have to move your post or merge it into ongoing threads.
If you can't find a post you made, it may have been moved or merged. Go to your profile by clicking on your name and "search recent posts" -- you will find it.
Within each board section there are STICKY threads -- ones that always stay "stuck" to the top. These are popular discussion-threads that you can read and add to if your questions or comments fall into one of these oft-broached topics. If you don't see a "sticky" that relates to your question, feel free to start a new thread in the relevant section.
We do have a few "thou shalt not" rules here, and they can be found in the Forum Rules link at the top of each page. Most important for newbies are these four common errors to avoid:
1) Please do not come here asking for our formulas for conjure oils or for instructions on how to use spiritual supplies that you bought at a grocery store or at a competitor of ours; this is the Lucky Mojo Forum and is financially supported by the Lucky Mojo Curio Co.
2) Please do not spam the moderators by sending multiple duplicated private messages asking for personal help outside the board; many of our moderators do perform readings and rootwork spell-casting for clients, but they are professionals and you should approach them as you would any other professional.
3) Please do not post illegal copies of material from other web sites or from books.
4) Please do not post put-downs of any group of people based on their religion, race, or national origin, including derogatory comments about religions to which you may have previously been an adherent or comments in which you seek to falsely conflate any religion with the practice of evil sorcery.
Again, welcome and have fun!

Those are the blessings I'm speaking into my life!
I'm do diligently searching site for my own answers but I have just a few simple questions .
1. Is there a remedy in the pharmacy / apothecary for pink eye!? ( antibiotic drops not working )
2. I want mrs cat's books but confused on which to get first? I'm an absolute indiot in hoodoo and I really want a beginners book/guide.
3. On the book shell sign for me, there's 2 of them on site, ( green cover) but they are 2 different prices but looks to contain same information and teachings?!
4. Want to do a cleansing for heart healing and moving forward , would the 13 herb cleansing do this or do I need other essentials with that?
Thank you again for all being so kind .

Re: Just introducing myself
Hi Tessa42 and welcome to the Forum. With regards to your questions,
1. Speak to an herbalist or health care professional with regards to medical recommendations since we cannot make those here on the Forum.
2. The Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic is a good first guide for anyone. Besides, it will remain your reference guide for years and years: http://www.luckymojo.com/hoodooherbmagic.html. In addition to this, read through the free on-line book Hoodoo in Theory and Practice here: http://www.luckymojo.com/hoodoo.html
3. One is hardcover and one is soft-cover. Hence the two listings and different price points.j
4. 13 herb is good for general uncrossing and getting rid of negativity. For healing the heart, ConjureMan Ali posted a great spell here: spells-to-heal-a-broken-heart-and-prepa ... 6e7b656429 (it's the very first post). A variation on that is to simply bathe in a combination of Lavender, Rose Petal and Violet leaf.
Blessings.

Re: Just introducing myself
I'm just asking , trying to pick a worker for a reading . The1800hoodoo and the other rootworkers.org
I know are 2 different sites. It's really hard to "chose". Is the a so called method to use when telling my life to a stranger and asking for healing ?? Lol
Just wondering if it was hard for others and if its more of a "gut" feeling ?

Re: Just introducing myself
This is a really personal question, so I'm sure that other people will have different answers. For me, I spend time reading the different profiles. There are usually three or four people who stand out and I feel 'drawn' to. Once I have those few people narrowed down I look over their specialties and see if one of them really fits my current needs.
Yes, it can be hard and yes, for me, it is a gut feeling.
I hope this helps.

Welcome Tessa42! It's a very supportive community here and I'm sure you'll find more inspirations for your moving forward in life
Like Miss Phoneix, I believe it's very much a gut feeling, though there're practicalities to consider. E.g. if you're in need of an urgent reading on the phone, you'd probably call Hoodoo Psychics. If you work irregular shifts and it's hard for you to schedule a phone reading, or if you prefer to have your reading in black and white so you can revisit it, you'd probably pick one of the readers listed on AIRR who do email readings. Some readers might specialize in certain kinds of readings and workings - e.g. geomantic readings, spirit readings, clairvoyant readings, working with a particular saint or spirit you have a connection with, or contacting the dead etc. You can start with considering what you might want or need to get done, and the fees of the workers you're interested in while you read through the profiles.
Beyond that, it's about who you're drawn to, and you can try getting a small reading or a vigil to see if you like their style. Years ago when I just started consulting rootworkers, I checked out one or two who offered the kind of services I was interested in, then I found the one worker I've been working with ever since.
