I personally don't see any religious conflicts with Chakra cleansing/alignments or with egg cleansing.
But if you're new to Hoodoo and want to learn about Hoodoo, then egg cleansing is a good way to start as there's lots of information via Lucky Mojo.

I have a question for the forum.

My business partner's husband is under lots of stress and things are not going right for him.

I have been doing remote cleanings with 4 eggs in a cross set up and petition paper in the center with a vigil candle on top of the paper. I dressed the candle with salt, rue, and hyssop and said 23rd psalm over it while it was burning till the candle went out (6 days).

He is a lot more calm and things have settled, but the readings I do afterwards and his business seem to have a sort of "grey" cloud over him.

Can anyone think of another cleansing to remove what is "left" or should I just repeat the above.

sugarbeelips, a chakra cleansing isn't a Hoodoo practice, nor a Christian one. The word chakra comes from the Hindu spiritual system and it is based on the belief that the human body has specific energy centers. Chakra translates to 'wheel' or 'spinning', because it is believed that these energy centers spin and are wheel shaped. Although the word is Hindu, the belief in these energy centers can be found in traditions all over the world, but "chakra" has become synonymous with this idea. I can't speak to if this process would be considered working through Jesus or not, but it is a very effective process.

If you are worried about following a practice that is non-Christian, I would take Miss Aida's advice.

Every time I walk into my boyfriend's home I feel depressed. He's depressed and I end up getting depressed. I feel negative energy and I'm thinking it's time for a cleansing. What should I do for a proper cleansing of the apartment to welcome in fresh new positive energy?

Yes, it is time for the apartment to be cleansed, if the boyfriend is willing or you can do it while he is away. Also, be sure that he is going to a proper professional to help with the depression. There is help out there.

You could wash the apartment from front to back with some Chinese Wash. A lot of apartments have carpet so you may consider washing down the walls and/or baseboards.

You may consider adding a little Run Devil Run and Cast Off Evil Bath Crystals in the wash water as well.

Yes, he is getting professional help. Right now I'm low on supplies. I have uncrossing oil, hyssop, murphy's oil, ammonia, and sweet sage. Could I make use of that for cleansing to get started ASAP?

Until you get the supplies that Papa Newt recommended, you could cleanse with water mix with ammonia (I wouldn't mix anything with the ammonia).
After that dries, you can steep hyssop in water. Then, pour that water into a larger bucket and re-clean the areas with this mixture
Then, follow it up by dabbing all the essential places in the dwelling with uncrossing oil (make sure that you say intention (or pray) while doing do).
Last, burn the sage and walk around the dwelling with it to insure that the smoke is in all the rooms. Again, pray (or state your intentions).

You can also get a bottle of Pine-sol from the store. It is mentioned in Miss Cat's book. Pine is a very good cleanser / purifier. Just pray over the mop bucket like you would do with the Chinese Wash. My family has always used Pine-sol for cleaning ... it makes the house smell wonderful too. I add a drop or two of Chinese Wash to my Pine-sol every time I mop now - just for spiritual up-keep.

But until your actual spiritual supplies arrive from Lucky Mojo, the Pine-sol would help clean and lift the vibes of the apartment.

My Aunt passed over last month. We were not very close but I asked for some of her things. My Uncle agreed to give me what I wanted and my Sister is sending me her jewels and some other items of hers. Should I smudge these items with sage and is there any other things I should do to these items once I receive them? I am not so sure she wants me to have them since we were never very close. We spoke every week for about a month before she passed.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to smudge them. Sage is a good choice, pine is also good, Tibetan ghost purging incense and camphor are the big guns if you feel there is spirit activity to be put to rest.

You may want to follow up by smoking the pieces in Blessing incense to get them off to a good start.

Aura gave you a great prescription.

When I receive jewelry from someone who is deceased or if I'm handling antique jewelry, I wash the jewelry in a prepared and blessed bath. This includes a bowl of water, eucalyptus for breaking jinxes and Wahoo root for uncrossing and Jinxes. I also place pine needles in the water to break negativity. Pray over the bowl of water containing the jewelry and herbs with the 37th psalm. Then place the bowl with the jewelry in the sun or in a sunny spot in your home. I do this for 3 days.
For yourself, if you're concerned if she wanted you to have it or not, you can do a 13 herb or a jinx breaking 3 ingredient bath.

Thanks for your suggestion, but I dont think I am crossed by anyone. The psychic just told me that I need to do spiritual cleansing on myself to get rid of negative energy. And I do feel energy-drained sometimes by some negativity.

Hmmm...for example, I sometimes feel drained after work, and I know that I suck up negative energy from there. But I dont think anyone there crossed me. So, I am trying to get rid of that negativity whenever I feel drained.

Another way that I've found to cleanse jewelry is to bathe them, then dry them off well and put them in the freezer for 3 days. That freezes out anything that can hurt you

I agree that you may want to seek a reading to get to the bottom of what's happening. But I would suggest that rather than trying a house cleansing...then waiting, then doing a bath...then waiting, that you do a comprehensive Uncrossing over a course of several days, like through the use of an Uncrossing spell kit.

I would use the blessing oil and mix with my soap.
I wouldn't use the powder for that.
You could just use a capful of it with an ounce of your shower gel and mix it together.

I'm sure a lot of people notice this sort of thing, but since I started practicing hoodoo-- getting elbow-deep in any work I can get my hands on, praying and cleansing myself more often than I ever had before-- I feel like all of my spiritual senses have sharpened. I've read for a long time, almost always with Tarot cards. While I've had success with this, personally and in a more public way, I've never seen myself as more than an amateur.

Lately, I know things. Nothing like that has ever happened to me before; I've never been able to flatly intuit anything. Dull and blind. I think working with magic and exercising myself spiritually has opened things up.

That said, I've had some very disturbing feelings (and now one or two very clear and awful dreams) about one of my best friends, the man I've actually been working on since I found my way to hoodoo. I love him very much, and I always have-- regardless of how my romantic workings turn out, he's very important to me and to his family and close circle of friends, both of which I have been blessed to be included in. But he's stubborn, willful, prideful, and downright pig-headed about a lot of things. One of these is love. The other is his health.

He drinks with fair regularity, not to get drunk but as established and maintained habit. His liver has already retained a fair amount of damage from an overdose when he was much younger. He has always suffered from chronic headaches. Lately, I've noticed that he gets sick with some alarming frequency.

He has no faith in anything and a lot of scorn for anything even remotely magical. He also, like the ridiculous idiot he is, refuses to see a doctor-- ever, on any grounds short of an obviously broken limb that needs to be set. I know I can't go to a doctor in his stead, but is there a way that I can go to a reader and get a clear picture of his health? If I knew and understood what was going on with him better, I would be able to act one way or another, whether it's healing work that I can do on my own or with a rootworker, or I need to focus my efforts on convincing him to see a doctor, or-- and I'm praying my hardest that this will be the case-- I'm being a proxy hypochondriac.

Would seeing someone in his place give me an accurate picture? Is there some more focused way of divining his health on my own?

Sometimes procrastination can be a symptom of an underlying fear (fear that the project is going to take too long; fear that the project will be boring; the project will interfere with something important, etc). I've received intuitive knowledge of some really messed up stuff that I think happened to me as a youngster involving Satanic ritual torture/possible rape in some form or another (I'm yet to uncover the precise details) and I've come across this forum.

I've been kind of messed up for a few days because of finding this out...Feeling a bit better now, but like I said I still need to uncover the details and everything (with a professional, I know) so if there's anything you can recommend, I'd appreciate it.

Are you able to recommend something I can do for myself, or concoct a Mojo Bag/Talisman of some sort for clarity on this situation, and hopefully to help take the edge off the healing process that's just beginning now?

Hello everyone,

I've searched the forum for a similar situation and was unable to find one so I will post my question here.

I have completed a cleansing bath for myself an the family in lieu of some progressive work. The day after we took our baths, my husband and I noticed a black residue on our hands(and palms) and feet(soles included) as well. It's frigid here and we both wear socks in the house. There was no effect on the children.

When we took our showers our white washcloths was black and it personally took a while to scrub this stuff off of my skin.

My question is, would I require another cleansing bath? I've had several before but it never manifested such a remarkable physical effect before. I would like to proceed with my progressive works, however I would like the opinion of the elders.

This is for a loved one - I know every person has free will to live their life as they choose. I care deeply for this person and I see them destroying their soul, their life and the lives of others. This person has changed because of the bad things he has done. He now believes this is who he is - a person that does bad things. I can see in his eyes how his actions are affecting him - staring into his eyes is like staring into Hell on earth. He used to be so happy, now the life has drained from him, he can get no peace, he can feel nothing.

I feel he is trapped by evil and I want to make him stop as well as block any negative influences that would pull him back into it. I am also a "sensitive" - I live with this person and have felt so physically ill by everything that I have been lying in bed all day sick, not eating and have lost 9 pounds in less than one week. Please help me - I am desperate to know what I can do to help this situation.

I am so sorry you are seeing your friend go through this. It can be very difficult watching someone you care about go through these kinds of things.

First I want to say that there are other more experienced root workers on this forum who I am sure will weigh in with more advice.

For me when reading your post my first concern would be to get yourself protected. I would first suggest that you might want to speak with a doctor or possibly a Therapist like a psychologist or social worker to make sure that the weight loss and lethargy is not being caused be something else. It is always good to be safe about these kinds of things. In my unlicensed non-professional opinion what you are describing sounds like a depressive episode and a professional who works in that field can help give you tools to use alongside your root work solutions.

Then I would work with some spiritually cleansing and protection products on yourself and your home. Since he lives with you cleansing and protecting your home will likely be beneficial for him as well. If your friend recognizes that he is making poor choices and is willing to work with you on this all the better. He can also then do some spiritually cleaning on himself.

That is how I personally would start working with this situation. Also please do not forge about prayer. Sincere prayers can do a lot. You can even post a prayer request to the crystal silence league and harness the praying power of all those people as well. Spiritbrialisa, Miss Aida and natstein have given you some excellent advice. I wonder if this person is your romantic partner? You don't have to answer this question on a public forum, but the reason I ask is because if this is a "roommate" and not a "lover" you can also set up protections for your private room. Hang up some Hamsa Hands or other protective amulets around your private space. Draw protective sigils or the cross on your door with Fiery Wall of Protection sachet powders. Set up a barrier so that you have a clean and clear space that is all your own and won't have any influence from him moving forward.

Of course, if he is your lover this much more difficult, but a general cleansing and a protection of your home and your physical body will also help.

first of all, hello everybody

after years of looking through this webpage, i finally ordered my first Oils from LM.
i live in Switzerland, and they were kinda weird about the customs and import laws for some time, so i was worried they might open oils and check whats in the bottle or things like that.
but, now that i finally started ordering, with UPS, all went well and they just checked the package inside at customs but didnt open anything, didnt even get taxed for it, since the value was under the taxable limit for imported goods.

NOW for my real Topic:

my mother has been in poor health ever since i can remember, but is the strongest person i know spiritually.
shes only 54, but had already one kidney removed, both knee joints replaced, a damaged disk in her upper back and fights extreme weight problems for the last 15 years which has much to do with a very bad marriage to my father that finally ended 10 years ago.

She is extremely disciplined, which made it rather easy for her to get from 250lbs to 136lbs after her divorce.
but with the constant illnesses and operations, medications and general worse health than 10 yrs ago, she now cant resort to extreme diets like she did back then.
she managed to loose pounds again, but as you might know when youre not in the best of health weight loss is hard and weakens the body.

Loosing weight would give her a real boost emotionally and also help her general health lots.

now, my first thought was a mojo bag for the weight loss, since i read some about em here in the forum.
but im kinda worried, the mojo would have to be sent to me in switzerland, and then onwards to her, living in Austria.
the chances that its opened by customs on the way is extremely high, especially on the way to Austria, they are very careless and dont have any respect for privacy at Austrian Customs.
so it might already be worthless when it gets to her.

i also thought about oils and rootwork in general, but its something she would have do herself, i could only tell her how to do it.
and having been there before, i know, she cant really handle it, when she does any kind of "job" it drains her completely, im sure you get my meaning.

so i thought maybe i could use the Altar Candle Service with prayers and petitions.

its not that im not willing to do any work myself, its just, that i already tried a few times in the past, and my mum has a very good spiritual compass, so she sensed that it would draw energy from me to do work on her. once i even made a custom perfume (conjure) oil for her which took me forever to get right. but she never used it once, eventhough i never told her that it was supposed to do more than simply smell good.

the Candle Service came to mind..
Jewelery or Talismans arent much good either, cause she just never wears any..

i would appreciate any advice.

If you're going to have lights set at the shop, I'd recommend the following combination of candles to set:

Blessing (to bless)
Crucible of Courage (to give her the backbone to stick with health habits)
Dr. Jose Gregario Hernandez (to get her to good doctors who will help her)

Two points:

Blessing and cleansing aren't the same thing. Cleansing removes nastiness; blessing brings in goodness, especially spiritually. So, start with Chinese Wash (a vibrant citrusy scent), Uncrossing (a strong eucalyptus/menthol scent) or Hindu Grass (Very similar to Chinese Wash, but extremely mild fragrance).

DON'T use POWDER in liquids! It'll just clump and probably settle to the bottom and look strange.

Oil turns transparent water-based products cloudy. If your shower gel has a milky, lotion-y appearance, you can use the oils; if it's clear, use bath crystals. You can dissolve them in a little water first.

The same principles apply to hair conditioner, of course. How about Hindu Grass Bath Crystals in your shower gel, and Blessing Oil or Bath Crystals in your conditioner?

Hi, Please forgive me if I have posted this in the wrong area. I just received my beautiful package from LM, containing 13 Day Herb Bath, 2 bottles of Chinese Wash and some spell kits for drawing things. I intend to start cleansing myself and my house to eliminate bad things and conditions, then start the spell kits for drawing once the cleansing work is completed. I am new to the whole idea of cleansing, but wish to do it correctly.
In order to eliminate, I understand to wash from back to front. My house is one storey only. We usually enter and leave our home via the side entrance, located in the east, when we are using our cars, as it is adjacent to the undercover carport. Our back door is facing north, and this is used only when we enter our garden from inside the house. Our front door faces south, and we enter and leave by this entrance if we are not using our cars. Shall I then clean from the eastern side entrance to the front door (northern entrance) to eliminate and then dispose of the water at the crossroads facing the sun? Also, we are currently entering the new moon phase here in Australia, which means that if I start the 13-day herb bath tomorrow, I will be performing most of the work during the waxing moon phase during the next 13 days. As I am 'cleansing to eliminate', would it be better if I waited until the waning phase of the moon to eliminate, then perform the drawing work during the next waxing moon phase? I need to clean my house anyway as it is currently unkempt and as wish to use the LM Chinese wash as it is wonderfully scented. I would still like to cleanse the house regardless of whether I start the 13 day herb bath later. Thankyou.

Hello, Aphrodite Moon,
You would still clean from the back to the front. So that would be from your North to your South.
And the wash gets thrown out the front entrance.
I do my cleansings during the waning moon. And drawing work during the waxing moon.

Just one other thing: If it's an absolute mess in my house and it needs cleansing IMMEDIATELY, I don't bother with moon phases. Emergencies are emergencies. And it's just as effective.
