Laila, thank you for waking up this thread. Indeed the beginning of the year is a great time to revisit patterns and make changes for the better. Much of what has been listed is part of my daily practice. I find that the simplest of things, like taking a shower and lighting a candle can totally shift my energy and my mood. For me it is all about adjusting my mindset and bringing me back into a space of connection. It is easy to get thrown off during the hustle and bustle of the day.

Part of my morning routine is connected to jewelry. I have a special ring that I wear along with an evil eye bracelet (http://www.luckymojo.com/evileyebracelet.html). I cleanse these regularly and at least once a month charge them with either incense or oils. When I put them on it is like flipping a switch, helping me to shift and prepare for the day ahead.

It is the little things like this that I love the most.

About two years ago my life path shifted drastically. My beloved partner passed suddenly as we were making plans for our future. For over a year I seemed to be in limbo. I functioned on auto-pilot...kind of. Time and my friends and family have helped me heal my heart, I am blessed. Recently, an opportunity for a career change presented itself. It involves healing energy. Currently, I work in healthcare, but I know it is time to move on to another level. I have many resources at my disposal and have invested time and money toward this new venture. Now I seem to be stuck, getting in my own way.
I would like advice as to how I can really move ahead and open the road(s) to my new path. Thanks so much ~ Vickie

Ok I want to start with I'm not trying to make excuses. I am looking for honest clarification, do to my own lack of understanding of what I have read.

I got on here to ask one question and got another one I was not expecting, which was extremely helpful. Thanks to everyone who posted, and thanks for all the reply's.

My spell say's: "Take a bath "Before Dawn" then carry the basin of bath-water to a crossroads and throw the water over your left shoulder toward the sunrise in the East."

It say's before Dawn (So, obviously I can translate that to just before sunrise, thanks to all the replies), but when it says throw it over your left shoulder toward the sunrise, does that mean exactly at sunrise? Toward the Sunrise would mean to me that the sun is actually coming up??? Am I correct??
I want to make sure I'm reading this correctly. That would give me just enough time to finish my bath before sunrise (just before dawn, keeping it mind it say's to air dry, and dress before I leave for the cross roads), then get to the cross roads as the sun is actually rising, and toss it over my shoulder into the rising sun.

I just ordered the 13 Herb Bath as well, so this question should apply to that order when it gets here as well, or do I bath with that spell AT SUNRISE, and then just go straight to the cross roads.

I wake every day, happily at 3am, so I don't care how early, I just want to do it right, the proper Hoodoo Way.

Good morning. I just started doing some road opening work today as I feel my life hasn't progressed at all financially for the last 5 years. Currently unemployed and have been for the past 6 months so I'm hoping the road opening work will get me back on the right path and open up some doors for a prosperous near future. My question is this: I plan on doing the road opener work for 7 days. Do I have to wait until I'm completely finished my road opener work to start casting job and money related spells or can I cast those spells in conjunction with the road opener work? I guess the urgency of my situation plays a factor here. I should probably do other spells along side the road opener.

Hi there!

I had a Road Opener vigil candle lit for me at the MISC last week to open the roads, clear blockages and ensure success in rootworks which I’ve started performing recently to bring back my lover and bring him closer (he is back but contact has been erratic). I was advised to do some road opening work by an AIRR worker whom I had a reading with.

I’ve just received my candle report:

It burned steadily.
There is a thin line of herbs and glitter right at the top of the glass of this candle. These signs suggest that there may still be some minor obstacles that need to be overcome, but these should be easy to resolve. The majority of the glass is clear and clean and these are excellent signs for the success of this working.

I was wondering if there is any work I can do to overcome the minor obstacles? My reader suggested that I get a talisman in the form of a key, which I have purchased. I’m just waiting for my Van van products and yellow candles to arrive so I can take a Van Van bath and work on my talisman. Is there anything else you would suggest me do in the mean time?

If I can jump in here - it sounds like your reader is saying that things look very good for having the outcome that you want but that you may find small things crop up along the way that you can deal with on the material level - meaning, that there are no big blocks that need some additional spiritual work.

Some things have happened in the past few days and I am at a loss, I know this is probably not the proper place to post this but I would really appreciate it if you give me some suggestions here - I met up with the man I'm working on 2 weeks ago. Prior to that we'd been broken up for 2 and a half months, he started contacting me again after the MISC lit a Return to Me candle for me (the candle report was very positive). Although my reading with an AIRR worker (as well as readings I did for myself) indicated that I need to invoke the Intranquil Spirit in order to return him to me. Anyway 2 weeks ago I went to his place and slipped him some of my menstrual blood and he drank it. I also started a honey jar a week ago and a skull candle, with the personal concerns I collected at his place. Strange thing is, I havn't heard from him at all for 2 weeks and when I texted and emailed him, he never responded, which is very out of character of him because he almost always replies to my text within 5 minutes. My iMessage could've gone missing but he must've seen the email. So he's ignoring me and he's never ignored me in the past.

I've booked an email reading with an AIRR worker which I am still waiting on. In the meantime, could any of you share some thoughts on this? It's just so odd that he did a 180 - we never had a fight. Could it be that he's feeling the work I've been doing on him (menstural blood in drink, honey jar, skull candle) and is freaking out, being a bit of a commitment phobe? Does this happen often?

From reading your situation, it *could* be the Road Opener work you are doing as well as the honey jar and menstrual blood working. In my experience with rootwork, there are often things going on behind the scenes that you don't know about and we cannot always see how our work is taking effect. I wouldn't panic that he's ignored you as of yet which is why readings are so important. You mentioned in one of your other posts that contact has been erratic and this may be part of it.

I would wait for your reading and proceed from there.

When I said contact has been erratic, I was referring to him not contacting me for almost 2 weeks, during which time I didn't contact him either. I always expected to get a reply if I contacted him because he never failed to reply to my text message within 5 minutes in the past. I would also like to mention that since I was initially advised by an AIRR member to invoke the Intraquil Spirit (I was really surprised when he "came back" before I'd done the Intranquil Spirit spell), I did it last Friday.

So I have to call my doctor tomorrow and see if she can take something off a form that really doesn't belong there. The information she included might block me from going overseas to do volunteer work in Africa for the next two years. Block my road, if you will.

I can get an orange candle tonight before I call her, but I don't have any road opening oil. I have Love Me, Commanding, Mercury, Follow me Boy, and I have a honey jar for influence that I haven't started that has a small vile of oil in there. Also some reconciliation oil.

I was planning on setting the light while I talk with her on the phone. Hopefully she'll see that it was unnecessary to give that certain info on the form and take it off for me.

It seems to me that in this situation you might want to take a softer touch and use Mercury and Influence to convince your doctor why this information may not be necessary. Perhaps this will open the road for a conversation which will convince her not to include that information on the form?

Also, reading your other post it may not be a bad idea to petition St. Peter who is an excellent saint to petition for road-opening purposes.

Hi I'm new to the board so not sure if this is the right forum but have used Lucky Mojo products and visited the store. Loved it!

My challenge is that over the last several years I've felt like a hamster in a wheel in my life in general but particularly in my career. I keep recreating the same jobs, same experience, even the same co-workers!

Nope, do it at dawn. Throw bathwater at sunrise in crossroads, walk away without looking back at it.

Hello everyone!

I really need help to start new beginnings for this year and for the many years to come. I will briefly explain my situation!

I am 22 YO, married and have been unable to have sex due to a mental bloackage that I have, I have never been molested or raped.

I often feel anxious, STUCK, and a constant fear of living my life. It has manifested and turned physical in which I urinate more than normal, I guess this is a defense mechanism to run away from my problems. My stomach is always upset due to my anxiety.

I have blockages in my throat chakra in which I find it hard to speak up and I don't know whats holding me back.

I just don't know what to do with my life, I am working because my mother got me the job through connections, otherwise I tried and tried and went on to interviews with no luck. I have a negative way of thinking that I am trying to change with affirmations.

Things have changed for me, and have gotten better but they are not 100%.

I FEEL SO STUCK like where do I go? With what do I start working on? What should be my priority?

Also, at my job I am one of the most hard working people and sometimes the managers and a certain supervisor can treat me like crap or talk to me as if I am a child. They have favoritism and let certain people get away with murder even though they know I am one of the hardest working people in there. I want to start my own business a day care as I LOVE KIDS but don't know how and where to start.

I also have issues with money in which I feel sad whenever I spend it. I like accumulating large sums of money, and get anxious and worry a lot when I need to spend it on something.

I have been meditating, yoga, opening up my chakras etc because I KNOW all of my issues come from blockages that I don't know how to open them.

I WANT TO CHANGE MY LIFE, but where and how do I START? Please help.

Recently I've been doing some thinking and I've come to realize that there are some things in my life I would like to change. There are people and habits and ideas that have held me back from who I want to be and the life I want to lead. I am a student in a very competitive field as well as a singer, harp player, writer, poet, thespian, artist, and professional card reader. I feel like I have potential to succeed in all of these areas but I have trouble focusing on them enough to improve at each. I'm not sure what kind of mojos or workings would help me focus and develop my talents. Also, I would like to meet new young, creative, Intellectually inclined people in my new area and be accepted into social groups more smoothly. Might a honey jar or love me products work? Your problem with focus seems to be affecting your ability to choose the best spells for your situation as well. Hi Mezan,

The type of behaviour you're describing, as you mention, often comes from long-standing issues often stemming in childhood. Many people have successfully moved through and beyond this and you can as well. Generally speaking, seeing a psychologist or taking part in a support group for the purpose can help to back up your intentions in the magical world. There are also a number of excellent self-help books on the subject (you can PM me if you're interested in titles) which can give you some great strategies. But it's important to address the mundane while you work the magic.

In the vigil candle world, a run of three candles (burn each type until you get good clean burns) can work nicely:
1 - Cast Off Evil on your neediness and self-sabotaging relationship traits
2 - John the Conqueror on your neediness and self-sabotaging relationship traits
(1 & 2 can be burnt simultaneously. Once you get a clean burn on them, then go to #3)
3 - Power to increase your self-confidence and personal strength

A good candle spell you might want to try is the following (it's a variation on a few other spells including the Cut and Clear). You'll need:

- 7x 4'' black altar candles
- a 9'' jumbo purple candle, a purple taper or white female figural candle
- a small Queen Elizabeth root (or root chips)
- a small John the Conqueror root
- a small Master root (or root chips)
- a small lodestone & a packet of magnetic sand
- a purple or red flannel bag
- Cut and Clear oil
- Cut and Clear incense
- Cut and Clear bath crystals
- Power oil
- Power incense
- 9-herb bath

Begin at least seven days before the new moon, on a Saturday if timing permits. After the sun has set, take a bath in the Cut and Clear bath crystals washing downward from head to toe, shoulder to fingertip. Let yourself air-dry when you are done and keep a small amount of the bath water which you will throw into a crossroads, throwing it toward the west. Return home without looking back.

Light some Cut and Clear incense. Take a piece of paper and make a long vertical line down the center of the paper. Now write a list of all the traits you wish to get rid of in your relationships on the left. On the right, write down the trait you wish to have instead of the one you are getting rid of. Draw over the line down the center of the page, separating the two lists, with Cut and Clear oil. Cut the paper apart carefully along the center line so that you now have a ''good list'' and ''bad list''. Put away the good list in a safe place for now (under your pillow or in a bedside table works well).

Take the bad list and fold it away from you, in two. Turn it counterclockwise and fold again. Repeat until you have a small packet that you will place under the candles as they burn. Every time you fold the paper, say ''I Cut these behaviours from my life, they are no longer necessary.''

Carve ''I banish these traits from my life'' into each of the black candles. Anoint one with cut and clear oil and burn it over the folded petition paper with a sincere prayer to be freed from the behaviours which serve you no longer. Repeat the candle and incense burning every night for seven days, once the sun has set until all the candles are used up and the moon is finishing its waning cycle. On the last day, as the candle approaches the end of its burn, take the list of bad traits and burn it to ash in the candle flame. Take all the spell remains, wax, ash & incense and dispose of them in a crossroads, returning home without looking back.

Now the first day of the waxing moon, take out the list of good traits you are bringing in and rise before sun-up and brew up the package of 9-herb bath while reading out loud each of the new behaviours that you are inviting into your life. Again take the spiritual bath, this time washing upward from foot to head and fingertip to shoulder. Air-dry and keep some of the used bath water to water your house-plants with, or to throw in your front yard. Once that's done, you're ready to begin.

Light some Power incense. Carve your full name into the purple pillar candle and the list of traits that you have on the petition paper. Anoint the candle with power oil. Mark it with 9 pins into sections. Place it at the center of the altar or work space.

Now roll the list into a small cylinder, toward you, after having once more read the list of qualities you are going to bring into your life. Tie the cylinder closed with a piece of red or purple string, securing it with 9 knots. Smoke the petition in power incense.

Anoint each of the roots with Power oil. Behind the candle place the Master Root. To the right of the candle place the John the Conqueror root. To the left of the candle place the Queen Elizabeth root. Place the rolled list of qualities under a small saucer, in front of the candle, and place the lodestone over the saucer. Tell the lodestone that it's job is to attract the qualities in the list it keeps safe. Feed it with some magnetic sand.

Light the candle and burn one section. Repeat the incense and candle burning every day, for 9 days, until the candle is completely consumed. Every day, once the candle is lit, feed the lodestone with magnetic sand and tell it that its job is to attract the qualities in the list it keeps safe. Always work in the morning with the clock hands rising, or light the candle right before sun-up.

On the last day of burning the candle, as the burn approaches its end, heat the flannel bag gently - inside and out - over the candle flame. Place each of the roots around the candle in the bag. Place the lodestone, covered in magnetic sand in the bag along with the petition paper and a lock of your hair. Pray into the bag, speaking your prayers to manifest the qualities you've descriped in the rolled list. Close and tie the bag, anointing it with Power oil.

Bury the left-over candle wax and incense ashes from the spell in your front yard or in a potted plant. Wear the mojo on you everyday, anointing it with Power oil once a week.

I’m changing careers late in life and need to meet new people to work with. As it could slip into illegality, if not done carefully, I need partners I can trust – both their honor and their judgment. As this will be a new area for me, I don’t already have contacts. I need a working to bring me in contact with the right people (3 or 4). I was thinking Road Opener and Attraction or Crown of Success. Which would be best? Or is there a better alternative?

To be honest it sounds like yo might want to use a combination of all three of those kinds of products. You could get a crown of success spell kit and as well as some road opener and attraction oil and mix the oils to anoint your candles with. You could also have Lucky Mojo set a let on your behalf to back up. You could also work both an Crown of Success spell kit and an Attraction spell kit at the same time while having Lucky Mojo set road opener candles for you.

I think I posted this is in the right forum.

Earlier this year, I was experiencing an uncharacteristic burst of creativity. I was able to come up with great product, business, and fictional story ideas left and right. I decided to get a reading because I was curious about whether pursuing a writing career and developing those story ideas would be profitable for me; I'm a student so any extra money could have helped with loans and other expenses. Well, right after I visited this person for a reading, that creative streak stopped dead in its tracks. I couldn't come up with a decent story if I tried.

How can I determine what caused this block, and what spells or products could I use to get my creativity streak back?
