Hi all,

Aura, thanks for the wonderful advice on how I should handle this situation. I will be looking into the Boss Fix vigil candle, the Steady Work kit with some Road Opener supplies, and especially that Jack Ball suggestion because they sound like exactly what I need!

And Sarafina, "Disappointed in Steady Work results. What shall I do now?" wasn't my original title for this thread. I see a moderator changed the title for clarity. I did forget to mention in my post that I didn't use a Steady Work vigil candle. I used an Attraction vigil candle to "attract" a job offer that led to this job at the specific company I work for now. I apologize for leaving that out (my mind is all over the place). I hope that I explained the situation more clearly in my post here.

And if anyone has any other suggestions, please feel free to chime in.

MarkiMark1776, I'm the moderator who changed your title. I, too, thought you had used a Steady Work candle. I'll change it again to "Disappointed in Attraction job spell results," shall I?

Your original job-attraction spell actually looked pretty well-designed to me. Something's blocking you and you need to move it out of the way -- then do some more Attraction work and then maintain it with Steady Work and Boss Fix (to keep your boss and workmates sweet to you) when you have a better job.

Do some Money Stay With Me work, too, to make those paychecks stretch farther.

In the meantime, spray some Peace Water and Boss Fix oil in the bathrooms at work. You can say Psalm 133 as you do it. It's a short one, but even the first verse, "How pleasant it is for brothers to dwell in unity" will have some power. Or you could open the bottle of Peace Water as soon as you get it and whisper the psalm into it.

Best of luck,

Hi Miss Michaele,

Feel free to change the topic title to what's most appropriate. "Disappointed in Attraction job spell results" sounds right on the ball! I feel like something is definitely blocking me or causing me bad luck in everything that I do. I can't accomplishing anything and move forward in my life, and this job is just one example. What should I use to remove blockages? Uncrossing vigil candle, spell kit or road opener products? I feel like I need something powerful, effective, and that works asap!

Hello, mthwgrmn,
Sure wish that you could muster the opportunity to get on the radio show and get some sound help from the Masters.
Hopefully, it's not an accessibility problem.

Hi Miss Aida,

I am going to start doing some uncrossing work, and may even do the 13 herb bath for 13 days. I definitely feel I need to do some cleansing/removing work before embarking on anything else.

So after seriously embarrassing myself on this forum two weeks ago and annoying several people here, I decided to take some of the advice I was given and start doing a whole lot of road-opening. I also took a long look at my emotional state, followed up by a lot of cleansing.

A week later I got a call from an employer I had contacted way back in November. I am now on my second day of employment with an incredibly collegial office doing the kind of work I've wanted to do for years, and earning at a substantially higher salary then my last job.

True story, that.

I guess all I can say is not "don't give up faith", because I had already lost mine; so instead I'll opine that you have lost faith, take a long, hard look at that dark part of your soul and expose it to the light. After that, the real rewards of the spirit shine through.

Congrats mthwgrmn on your success. It looks like your readers and rootworkers were right. You needed to have a bit of faith. Doubt and negative thinking can be quite insidious and erode any magical work we do.

Hi, this is my first post here, but, I would really appreciate some urgent help.

I have been on and off with magic for years, a couple of months ago I discovered rootwork/hoodoo, which appealed to me, and I turned to it as I needed help reconciling with an ex-lover. It was extremely important to me, as I have been suicidal from this, and needed reconciliation.

Intensively studying rootwork during these few months, I became passionate about it, whole heartedly incorporating it into my life, and my belief systems unshakeably set in stone. It gave me joy and hope, I knew using rootwork I could grasp my life again, pick myself up, achieve and become what I want. This lifted my depression by being able to feel control of my life again.

A couple of weeks ago, I did some hoodoo candle burning for reconciliation, and I was happy that it would work out successfully, with a few signs that it was working.

However, today, as an unrelated work, I did candle burning, and created a mojo hand, for gambling. Just to win £10, so I could purchase another rootwork book. I lost. The small amount of money lost was insignificant compared to the fact it shook up my beliefs, I failed. The power of rootwork disappeared. I needed this belief to feel a sense of control over my life, now, I have lost this control, and feel hopeless.

It also made me think, that, as this failed, the other, much more important to me spell would also not work, and once again, I am in a dark place, lost. I now have nothing to hold onto, nothing that can help and direct me. I am completely crushed.

I feel destroyed, I want to get my hope back. Maybe an uncrossing...but I can't, now that as well as my hope disappearing, so has my beliefs. I poured everything into this, it kept me going, now its gone. How can I move forward if I have no hope anymore?

Please, would someone help me.

You just learned that you might suck at gambling spells. Assuming that you will never fail at hitting a target you bought a bow and missed the target with the first arrow and it makes you cry like a small boy. Good. There was wrong with your initial assumption. Now try again. If you miss the next 100 you know without a doubt you suck at gambling spells. Good. Now you have a small piece of real knowledge about your magical skills. Find out what you are good at.

Thankyou for your reply DrJohannes. That is great knowledge and advice, thankyou! You have calmed me down.
Like you said, I may be bad at gambling spells, or may need to try again, or practice spell work more.
However, it also made me angry after many many hours of studying, learning about "powerful roots" for example "carry on you to win at games of chance", and having them all activated in a mojo bag, that it did not work. Why did the roots/herbs not work? Nothing to do with spells?
Also, as my courage has been knocked down, will this be detrimental to future work by being "doubtful", or thinking about failure more?

Hi Dr Johannes. Many thanks for your knowledge, I feel better now!
Like you said, I may not be talented with gambling spells, or, I may need to try again, or give up on gambling spells, not all spells like I presumed.
I suppose I was angry too, after hours and hours of study about "powerful roots", for example "carry on to win at games of chance", that the mojo did not work. Not talking about spells, why did the herbs/roots not work for me? (I did activate the mojo bag)
For me to try again at spells, will it be detrimental that I have been knocked down? Because I am now being negative and seeing failure in what I try to do, will this stop me succeeding? If so, how would I overcome this?

I agree with Dr Johannes. I am really great with most spells but others... oh good grief don't even go there.
And then there is the other way to look at it. Every professional, will make a mistake at some time or another. Take a surgeon, he is well trained, does his best, is considered highly successful and the greatest in his field, but guess what, sometimes surgery doesn't work or the patient dies.
But he doesn't give up he figures out what happened and tries again.
You wouldn't put that same surgeon in with podiatrists and expect him to know everything and get it right, but you're expecting this of yourself.
You're setting yourself up for failure if you do this.

Work should not define you nor should reconciliation and a person define you and your happiness. You are worth happiness because you are you, regardless who you are with or not with. Life is a cycle of ups and downs you have to accept that, and also accept that not every spell is meant to work and will work. God has ultimate decision and if he says no..its no..and that is a standard in hoodoo. Even signs can be good and work can flop in the end.. because you need to adapt the work as you go to the readings and the signs. thats why many workers do readings and such with their work. Its like seeing a doctor and they run test and do work run test and do work, making the ultimate personal plan for the patient. You can try again being negative is not the most positive aspect but it can be over come. Pray to God to help you with the disbelieving that is not hurting you. So unds like you have anxiety and over think things, like OMG something didnt work and now im negative and now it will never work and the world is doomed! No your one spell didnt work, take a nice bath cleanse and clear and pray asking God what should I do to get the money for the book I lost. Then go back to the work. Your question on why it didnt work when you spent hours with the root, etc..well many answers but here is a few to ponder: 1. its not a battery operated item that is activated, its not a chemical that is activated in water.. its a living breathing item with a soul that must be connected with you and then worked(hence rootwork) to bring the specific purpose. Believe in it working is important, what and how you prepared it and what items you used is important, where they LM products, did you wake the mojo up, feed it, make a proper petition? Personal item? Did you use traditional methods with the mojo and feeding it/dressing it? Did you watch and wait 3 days for signs to see how the work would go or individuate over it? And of course as mentioned sometimes the answer is no even if you do all these things. God is divine and he decides, he also knows best. maybe a gambling is not how he wants you to help yourself. If God closes a door he always opens a window!

Harry,
Many hours of study and a single moment of experience. When those moments are much greater than your hours of study you may have learnt something useful. If you don´t stop asking questions that furthers your study you will only get experiences based on moments of faliure. And that will prove without a doubt to you that your magical skills suck. It does not mean you don´t have any talent, just that you will never experience it much yourself. Study this text whenever you feel the urge to ask more about study. :)

Shantilly Lace-
That is a great analogy, that is a good way to perceive it, this has helped me to change my mindset, thankyou.

j82-
You are completely correct, it should not define my happiness, however, it does. I also cannot accept life has cycles of up and downs, this fact makes me angry deep inside, I hate it and feel that "I have a right to the ups, and do not deserve the downs. I should be able to access the universal powers and control my own destiny."
Heh, you are spot on with my over thinking and anxiety, that is a major problem! I will follow your advice, and cleanse. Maybe I need to do a full uncrossing and protection, my own mind is destroying me at the moment, and I need to clear it, and then protect it. I hope I have the power, will, and success to achieve this, and maybe it will allow future work to be more successful if I can.
Regarding the mojo, I circled the items around an oiled candle inscribed with the petition, let burn out, annointed each item with Van Van, placed in mojo bag. Visualised and breathed into it. Held over Money Drawing Incense. Feed weekly with Fast Luck, and a sprinkle of the incense too like a powder. I did not wait 3 days for a sign, as just planned on holding the mojo when gambling as a continuous object, so, nothing to wait for as use when needed? Before using, I burned some Lady Luck Incense. Hmmm. I think that it worked when holding at first, for about five minutes, but then my thoughts take over into doubts and worries, i.e "this is just chance, I will start loosing soon, no I can't loose with this mojo, this mojo works, what if it doesnt work, if it looses I will be upset, its working, its not..." etc etc. (Is the mojo not a spell?)
My fear of failure, and inner hate of loosing control, may cause me to loose control and fail?

Speaking about God's will, may I ask, the best "attitude" during spellwork?
Is it best to ask for the petition humbly to the divine, e.g "Please spirits, I ask for [petition], please bless me with achieving this goal if it is your will."
Or, confidently? e.g "My will is to [petition], with the power of these herbs I manifest my desire, so be it"

Dr Johannes-
Am I correct in understanding what you are saying, that I should stop asking questions, and that I should stop studying? And just practice and experience to learn? As asking questions causes me to doubt instead of being confident and "know" what I am doing?

I thank you all greatly for your time in replying, the knowledge has been really helpful, and means a lot to me. You are all so kind. Thankyou.

If you suffer from self doubt and anxiety then maybe seeing a doctor would help and using magic. Some people suffer from that as a condition and need medical assistance. Understanding fear and doubt helps take away its bite .. U fear something will happen then you fear how it will happen and you get all worked up but it does not happen.. you wasted a lot of energy on nothing! Meditating, positive affirmations prayer all are good starts for help. the work should not define you, rather the relationship you have with God and the herbs and his holiness should. I have felt how you do with work before, and it took time, lots of trial and errors and learning how to do the work before those issues stopped happening. Like slowly but surely it went away. I however dont prescribe the power in me but in God so it does not matter if you fear and doubt its in Gods. I personally command the herbs but ask God. so rose flower of love may the love the lord God has instilled in you the sweet romantic love bestow me with the love of ( name) ...etc .. other things iv done to help with negative self talk is redirect it so if I think negative i turn it to, I can do this.. and push it out of the head, pray over each item seperatly before doing the work to add energy, After I do the work I make myself do something else like exercise, read a book, play music so I cant think about it, stop the mind from thinking about it ( you control your mind it does not control you). To build your confidence why dont you start by working on others first, I find if im not as emotionally involved its easier. Then after successes start working for yourself when confidence is built. Also a honey jar on yourself for you to love trust and respect yourself to help boost confidence. I think you should study and learn how to do things to the tradition that takes away some doubt and worry on..am i doing it right? I think the other comment meant not to second guess after you do it, like what if, or did I do it right, what could I have done differently.. when its done its done! We dont cook dinner then ask what would i like in place of this, rather you sit and eat the meal.

You said your belief system crashed because you failed at one spell after all that study. Apparently study does not do much for your insecurity. So less study - more practice is the right remedy. Imagining that more study will be better in order to "know" at this point seems just like building a paper house all over again. Magic without real neccesity is play. Magic without practice is not magic at all.

That is good advice, I will make a honey jar for myself, and look into self-help for the anxiety, and trouble with negative thinking, I will consider the doctor also. Also I will try your tips on controlling it, although, it does seem uncontrollable, I will like you said, not allow my mind to control me! (easier said than done...)

Instead of studying and crashing again, I am going to practice some magic. Reading what you both said, and reading other parts of this forum, it seems it would be easier at first to either work for others, with no emotional attachment, or, work on something that is not extremely important, to build confidence in small steps, to slowly build the confidence for the larger things.

You said that "magic without real neccesity is play", may I ask, is it acceptable to use magic for play purposes, or is this degrading to the power? Im sure I read that magic shouldn't be used for fun, and only serious things?
Do you have any "small" things as examples on what I should try to work as practice. My mentality seems that all the things I want are of great importance, and even the small things, will be of great importance, as relates to my beliefs which are important.
Should I do things along the lines of "I will notice and find a coin on the floor outside." Is this too specific, not appropiate, or am I wrong in how I should practice? I'm not sure how/what I should practice, so practical advice would be good.

I would be more than happy to work something for either of you also, as this eliminates the personal aspect, and you are experienced in noticing results? Let me know.

Thanks again both of you, your both amazing.

I gotta say that if a single failure brought your belief shattering down, it was not nearly as set in stone as you thought. Failing to get something even with magic is part of life, if you are so easily shaken then you aren't going to get very far with magic because the truth is that you will fail again. It is bound to happen. It is easy to believe when everything is going swimmingly it is another thing when things are not. That is the difference between belief and faith.

I would not encourage you to work for others, that is a responsibility you simply aren't ready for. Instead practice and build both your skill, knowledge, and faith up. The best way to do this is work for smaller goals, sometimes even doing work for goals that you are already slated to get. For example, if you know that you are getting a letter in the mail, then maybe some Road Opening work to help it arrive smoothly. Or do some open-ended luck work and see how things improve. Work on smaller goals until you get to a point where are not thrown off-balanced by failure.

I also suggest working with products to help with gaining some mastery. I suggest Master Key for occult knowledge and power, I suggest Power products, and John the Conqueror.

Harry,
Start with unwinding your mentality and your emotions around it. If you notice that you consider all the things in your own life to be so important that you simply "must" succeed at the very first attempts you should back off. This is your subconsicous telling you not to use magic and that you do not need it. Ask youself how you think you should go about improving these areas instead and write out the answers. Then carry out that and leave magic alone until something comes up that you do not already have a good subconsious solution to.

While carrying out the things you learned from yourself about life improvements you may also ask how you feel about "prayer" and "lighting a candle", as these things might mean something very different than "magic". In this way you learn more about your belief system instead of letting it run you on auto-pilot.

Thanks for the spell offer, Harry. But such efforts are better spent at the Crystal Silence League. Here you will find plenty of people in dire need: http://www.crystalsilenceleague.org/.

How come some if not most of the times the oils bring indirect results like you pray for something and you end up getting something else?

For example a friend of mine puts oils all the time at parties to attract girls and he is quite good looking but only Guys notice him and are so nice to him it's so weird because he is not gay.

This is just one of many things i have seen and experienced. Or you pray for roads to open and blockages are removed but results still don't yield. And yes me and my friends are uncrossed!

Like I don't even put fiery wall of protection on me any more because when i did all hell broke loose it was a nightmare so i just decided to stop using it. It was like the absolute opposite would happen it was completely nuts.

I remember one time i put fast luck oil to play the lottery and instead of me winning i picked up money on the road on my way to playing the lottery. I was so so so mad because i never asked for somene to drop their hard earned money I remember i waited there waiting for someone to come and get there money but unforunately no showed.I wanted to win my money all i wanted were for my five numbers to win not to pick up someones money :? .

How come that happens is it like a magical glitch?

Hm there are many reasons possible im sure. Does the friend put the oil on with the prayer to attract oil or does he say to be attractive.. because if he is not specific then it worked, its just his fault. Also what oil is he using, look me over? Follow me girl? Follow me boy ( attract gays). If you did the oil for the road block but it didnt yield then you should get a reading and see what the issue is and what specific work to do. I would hardly suggest to someone just to put on oil and all their troubles will disappear. I would more likely suggest a cleanse of them and their home, then dress the home with the inseanse and oils that you want like van van. Same with the friend Id suggest bathing in bath crystals and carrying a mojo for that purpose.. using the oil to get in contact with women of interest > Fiery wall would not backfire like you seem to suggest, hoodoo it even works or fails. If all hell breaks loose it sounds more like the person you are trying to protect yourself from is fighting really strong against the work and hence hell broke lose.. remember to watch and look for signs when doing work. the lotto one, you wanted money and you got money.. whats the problem? the universe or magic takes the least resistance path thus you needed money their it was.

Hello Allsing,

Another thing to consider is where a persons natural gifts are. I personally have great success when doing court case work but not so much when it comes to gambling luck. I just don't have the talent for the latter. So if I want help with gambling style work I would go to someone else to have the work done on my behalf. Hope this is helpful.

Peace~

+Yes me and my friend pray when we anoint ourselves with oils etc.
+Yes readings have been done and they were positive but the real results were different.
+I have actually stopped using fiery wall of protection as it seems to cause a lot of commotion around me not once but countless time no BS. Sometimes when i put it on i would always have small painful accidents even though i am not crossed and yes i have had plenty reading.
+What do you mean whats the problem? If i pray to win money that's what i expect not to pick up someones money that they need for their bills, i picked up money that couldn't even buy me groceries or help my family's financial problems man. And you still cant see my problem?

Until you get this figured out, use Protection -- it's a different formula than Fiery Wall:

It's a quieter kind of protection, much less drama.

I'm beginning to wonder if someone has you in a mirror box.

Well, when I make a mirror box, I place my fingertip over one of the tiny gaps between mirror shards (I use broken mirrors for this work). And I say to the target, "The only way out is repentance." I like mirror boxes for justice work because they're no meaner than the person inside them. So one way "out" is to live by the Golden Rule: to treat everyone around you as you wish to be treated. You could use Luke 6:38 on petitions and in prayer:
  • Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
But this is making a virtue of necessity -- not escape. I think you'd want Blockbuster for that.

The best way would be to find and destroy that mirror box, if possible.

I've never considered taking someone out of a mirror box before -- and you may even be the first to pose the question here.

Thoughtfully,

I don't understand how come root-workers are not millionaires or even billionaires after they claim this magic works.

If you had a money drawing mojo your likely to pick money up instead of getting business contracts or get a idea to start your own business.

its like magic only gives a small piece of what you actually desire.

Hello AllsingI,

looking at your comment I find it kind of interesting. It seems that you may be making some assumptions.

It is possible that the readers and rootworkers are millionairs and the rest of us are just not aware of it.

It is possible that the readers and rootworkers are not interested in having millions of dollars and so they don't.

I personally use Money Drawing products (not a mojo mind you but in the same family) to make sure I keep my bills payed and have enough money to not feel like I am struggling but to be honest I am not interested in much more than that. I have not found the spiritual supplies to work the way you seem to think. For me they keep a steady stream of customers coming in my door. It is very concrete and not as if I am just finding bits of money on the sidewalk. Recently I did a more specific working and got some more therapists who wanted to rent space out of my office.

Getting a million dollars would take a lot of work and I don't think just putting together a mojo would be enough to make it happen. It might help some but you would have to do a lot more both mundanely and magically to make it happen.

Peace~

I think it's simply logic.
as time goes on the emotions naturally lessen. For you as well as the ex.
The ex is able to put it behind them and move forward, it isn't impossible but it becomes more difficult. The emotions that were attached to you will often attach to others (not a rebound) and so the link lessens, it never disappears entirely but it lessens.

Emotions soon after a break up can be more easily turned back as the attachments are there. It's easier to work with.

In addition to the answer above I´d like to add that not only emotions change and lessen but other circumstances come into play as well. People get into other relationships and other commitments that may prevent any kind of reconciliation.

I agree with natstein; all of the Money Work I have ever done has given me exactly what I needed.

I have never asked for "a million dollars" as the possibilities of that happening through any means are slimmer than receiving "the amount I could use right now." I have been EXTREMELY fortunate and feel blessed as to the work I have done that has perfectly balanced the ebb and flow of my bank account.

Going on many years now. I have not wanted for anything since starting my work and THAT makes it feel as though I do have a million dollars.

Spirit does as Spirit does...and it takes care of my just fine.

I just had a conversation with a friend about a black magic attack that I went through several years ago. He replied "Black Magic Can't Touch You If You Don't Believe In It"...to which I told him that's a lie. I did not believe in it and went through hell for about five months before it was revealed to me in a dream what was going on after the person sent another attack. But this time I was praying psalms 91 as lead to do months earlier. So my guess is this is why it was revealed and black magic confirmed when I shared the dream with a friend.

So my question is where did the belief that a person cannot harm you if you don't believe in it come from? Are innocent christian lives getting havoc in their lives daily while they believe they are protected because of their belief in Jesus? Are people in other beliefs protected? How come 'asking for protection' is not stressed in the church when this could help many?

Hello Owlsee

My completely uneducated thought is that perhaps people at some point ,maybe as a result of the renaissance/ age of reason, people started associating magic with something primitive or less valid that what could be confirmed through scientific reasoning. So people may have come to the conclusion that the effects of magic were actually some kind of psychological effect created by the individual who simply thought she/he was under the effects of some kind of magical working. Sort of like a placebo type thing. again this is just an uneducated guess on my part. Someone else may have a more concrete idea of when this notion appeared and what triggered it.

But I agree, I do not think a person needs to believe in magic for it to affect them.

Often, I wonder if the practitioners of black magic started that saying "can't touch you if you don't believe' because ignorance allows them to do their work at destroying people's lives. People don't seek protection out of ignorance. Many lives are financially ruined. Marriages/relationships destroyed. Mental well-being....etc.

I read somewhere (I think it may have been "50 Years As A Low Country Witch Doctor") that curses work best when the victim knows there is a curse. I personally think that's just psychology talking.

I agree that the belief requirement probably came into being during the Enlightenment.

Personally, I never want my targets to know I'm working on them. To me, it would totally defeat the purpose.

I agree that the work is more effective when the target don't know. I doubt knowing makes it work more because I sought out help when I found out.

The first six months I had absolutely no clue what was wrong with me. My life was crazy. I'd actually went to a therapist for a second. It was an inner leading to start praying the 91st psalms that started helping me.

I guess when I was able to handle the truth, I was shown in dreams. First was demons coming to get me. Another, the person who sent the dark work was dressed as a witch (obviously, this was the visual I would understand.) Followed by other dreams. Had I not been shown the work might have taken me out. I might be in a mental ward. But I went into defense and found cleansing info online that helped me. That's how I found lucky mojo.

Afterwards, I learned during the months I was praying psalms 91 she had a major auto accident, lost her home and financial problems.

Do you believe a church-going prayer filled christian can be affected by dark magic? Has anyone heard of this happening? Does praying for protection daily avoid this? Or is anyone susceptible and just have to deal with the effects but many don't have a clue what's going on?

Owlsee, everyone has a different and unique spiritual, psychological, emotional and behavioral disposition, so it's almost impossible to say how magick will affect an individual or group of people. Eliminate the guesswork. This is where divination plays a very crucial role in the situation. A good reading can give you confirmation and possibly assist in an approach to fixing the situation if necessary.

I agree with Mama Rue, divination is such a lovely tool to help bring clarity, particularly on how a work is (or isn't) progressing. :)

Owlsee, I think the usual protection prayers mentioned by many people, who don't have a clue as to what is going on, certainly HELP if an attack is launched against them spiritually ... but fall far short of what the person actually needs. I too have been in that situation, not realizing how people could throw attacks spiritually - because I was told "there is no such thing" growing up. I was completely in the dark. If I had known the things I have learned on this forum, from the age of a small child, I promise my life would have been so different.

When you are attacked, you need to cleanse, then set up protection and maintain it ... these are actions you take in faith ( not just usual prayers). I guess an "in the dark" Christian would have a level of protection based upon their own protection prayers, AND additional prayers on their behalf, like say if their Godly grandmother ( a prayer warrior ) was praying extra for them, that would put up more protection ( even if they didn't know about it ). If they "Happen" to bathe in Epsom salt ( because their back hurts ), that would assist in their protection without them realizing it. If they "happen" to be neat freaks who normally keep their homes free of clutter and clean ... this would also assist in giving protection ... and they would never know. Different people have different levels of protection based on so many variables.

Wow, thanks for the insight. I realize I was open for attack because I never knew to pray for protection. My usual prayer was of thanks or praying for things to happen in my life (wants/needs). After getting through my attack, I realize that although I grew up in the church, I don't recall being taught that praying for protection is vital. So my epsom salts baths wouldn't help. I didn't have a praying relative either.
My attack was over a guy. Turns out the girl before me wanted him back. She did get him very briefly. But after I went through this ordeal, it opened my eyes that I'd gotten attacked many times over my life...just very subtle. This was extreme. As a result, the worst thing in my life, opened my eyes.
I've wondered since, are people in the church getting attacked possibly by other people in the church even. I saw a youtube recently of a guy who says he used to practice voodoo. He changed when he tried to attack someone but the spirits kept coming back saying they can't due to the persons protection. I don't recall totally but I think the person was in a prayer warrior group. But we know realistically many people don't have this. So my guess, many people are having their lives seriously affected without a clue. Many thinking its just hard times or bad luck.
My goal is to ensure as much as I possibly can, that my challenges are just naturally my own...and not someone who wishes me harm.

I think, for some people, prayer alone can be sufficient to provide protection from harm. In the story of St Cyprian it was said that Justina turned back his spells, charms and spirits from her just by making the sign of the cross.

It also sounds like that while you were praying the 91st Psalm, the harm your attacker did to was being lessened on you, and returned to her, as her life became a hot mess instead.

However, I like all the herbs, and salts and crystals and candles and oils and etc... and I like using them. So, while I think Prayer alone (heck faith alone) is enough, I'm still going to pull out my bag of tricks and tools and lucky mojo products when I helping myself or others.

That for sure isn't true and the person who put whatever it was on me made a huge mistake because I now know how to not only defend myself, but to take it back to their doorstep if necessary.

I respected other religions, but didn't full on believe in hoodoo/voodoo/witchcraft until my life got so bad for no reason that I knew there was nothing but a curse that could be on me. He had mentioned that his family had done things to him, so that cemented my thoughts. You can't believe someone has cursed you and not believe in what caused the curse.

My family background is Indian and Southern so this has been inside me since birth, I just denied it. Now that I've stopped denying it (and it's working for me because I believe in it), I know how to fight it and stop it (I have no desire to do anything to them except send what they send to me back to them). I wasn't living before, just existing and it was AWFUL. I did everything to explain it away until there was nothing else that could explain what was going on. If they hadn't persisted, I wouldn't be here now.

Not believing doesn't do anything but render the victim powerless to stop what is being done. Knowledge is truly power.

Oh, and thank you for Psalm 91, I'm going to print it out and add it to my daily prayers.

For a few years now, I sometimes do a spell. Unfortunately, none of them ever worked. The last one I did was a friendship spell, to become friends with a certain person. The previous times, I did a spell I found on the internet, but because this didn't work, this time I made the spell all by myself.

But unfortunately, also this time, it doesn't seem to do anything.... I really wonder what I'm doing wrong or why nothing ever happens when I cast a spell... :(

Hope someone can help!

Fairy_, spells from just anywhere on the Internet may or may not be reliable. I would vouch for just about anything you'll find here, though.

Just like any other system of magic, hoodoo has its rules and traditions. These are less about "OMG YOU COULD RUIN YOUR LIFE" and more about "Don't put red pepper in a love spell, sweetheart -- it'll just make y'all fuss and fight." Miss Cat's online book explains the basic principles:
I know that, after a long string of magical failures, you may be tempted to give up on magic altogether. (And some people are afraid to begin because of cultural beliefs about evil powers and the like.) This page will also help you sort things out:

The worst-case scenario is that you might not have any gift for magical work. But I would only consider that as a last resort, after educating yourself and practicing spells that are well-constructed, traditional, and time-tested.

Even if you really don't have any magical gifts at all, that doesn't mean you can't hire a gifted person to do the work for you. And even when you do that, they'll give you some simple things to do as part of their work: baths, mostly.

Best of luck,

@marcelosSB I'd gone to see a local reader early on. I had no clue of the dark work and obviously she didn't see it either. The reading focus was on the guy and whether or not we will get back together. She gave me a book titled "The Power of the Psalms by Anna Riva." When I saw it on her table, I shared that I once had a copy but when I got back into the church I got rid of it. It had been on my mind lately to find it but I could not remember the title. So she just gave it to me. I found several protection prayers in it including Psalms 91.

Owlsee, you can bet your boots people in church are doing tricks on people they know. Miss Cat talks about how most hoodoo folk are Baptist. Also, you can find this tradition in the Pentecostal and Assembly of God churches from what I have seen. I am Catholic (now) and everybody knows about the traditions in New Orleans and along the Gulf Coast in the old Spanish & French colonies. The Penn. Dutch do their thing too with the hex signs and such.

I feel like the information is kept close in families and in certain congregations. I found out recently that my grandmother ( a Baptist) did little "spells" and spiritual workings but the information stopped with her. My father and uncle were both "men of science" and did not believe in "old wives' tales". How I would have LOVED to have been able to learn from her! I look back over the years and can see now where tricks were thrown at me... I suffered, but had NOT A CLUE at the time as to why. As a matter a fact, I was hit mostly by nice church-going Baptist ladies and girls ...like if I offended them in some way, or to give their child an advantage over me. Oh how I wish I had been taught the things they knew! Like you, I was not told in my church how important it was to pray for protection, except maybe when traveling. Spiritual warfare was not stressed in my groovy, liberal protestant denomination. In fact, if you talked about spirits, they would have referred you to a shrink.

I don't know what type of spells you were doing, but I talked to a Pagan gal once who never got results from her spells. However, when she got started in hoodoo, she was amazed by the results. She said conjure was more practical and direct and, for her at least, it MADE THINGS HAPPEN. Read over the links MissMichaele sent you then try something basic. I have had great luck with simple candle spells as taught here on Lucky Mojo. The products sold are top notch and I can honestly say every dressed Vigil Candle I have ever bought here produced results.
