I like powdered incense, because it’s good for the home and outer side environment because after burning many insect has been killed.
Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Incense Powders, ResIns, Agarbatti, Dhoop, Coil, Briquet Incense Questions and Answers
We own a soap, aromatherapy, and tea shop in Nashville, TN (as well as carrying Lucky Mojo products).
On days when business seems a little slow and no one is coming in the doors, I have three Lucky Mojo powdered incenses that I mix together to draw in the paying customers:
1. Attraction
2. Look Me Over
3. Prosperity
The ATTRACTION draws in the customers from the street
LOOK ME OVER insures that they will actually "look over" the products in the store and browse more
PROSPERITY is for "sealing the deal" so that the customer buys something while they are there.
I mix them together each time I am in need, place in a fire safe dish, light the incense, and set it outside on the porch of our store. I always position so that the smoke blows INTO the street where the cars are passing. Sure, it's a subtle smoke that they cannot see by the time it reaches the street but it works every time!

Thought I'd share something I enjoy doing with the powdered incense, I like to shape it i to something symbolic of the work I'm doing like $ for money work or hearts for love work etc. I'll then light it and smoke the object I'm working with to further imbue them with the energy of the work.

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Incense Powders, ResIns, Agarbatti, Dhoop, Coil, Briquet Incense Questions and Answers
Thank you Miss Aida, I'm glad you liked it.
I got the idea from how sachet powders can be used in different shapes and applied it to the incense. I usually use either a large ashtray, cookie sheet or put a piece of foil down on a heat resistant surface for something like this.
When doing love work I like to make the hearts very big and put what I'm working with like a love mojo or packet in the hollow area and allow the incense to burn around it. I do this to add a little heat to the work especially when doing new love.

Save your old medicine bottles AND the silica gel dessicant packs for storage. Recycle and save the planet. I think most of my wildcrafted herbs are in old med bottles.

That's a great combination! Have you also tried placing a lodestone in your cash register (be sure to keep it fed) and I'm fond of Irish moss for attracting happy money.

Oh yes. There's a lodestone right there in the cash register as well as above the entrance door on both sides.
front tray: LODESTONE, quarters, dimes, nickels, pennies.
The city recently dug up all the sidewalks in our business neighborhood. After they had broken up all the old concrete and hauled it away, I filled in the dirt with a long chain of money drawing sachet powder, some lodestones, and pyrite. The next day, they poured new sidewalks right over it.

Hi as this topic refers to a soap making business I thought I would post this here please move if it is not the right place for it.
End of last year I started making soap as a hobby just for myself and family. I add a few drops of lm oils to my soap mixture esepcially melt and pour it turns out really well. While I've had no reason as yet to do it I have thought it would be an excellent idea for a sneaky trick in way of a gift, melt and pour is so easy to make
.
So far the ones I have made for myself is a love one, van van, blessing and uncrossing and firey wall protection to use in between my more traditional baths if I am doing ongoing darker work. I gave my daughter and grand daughter some for xmas presents with firey wall and blessing in as well.
I have been considering if I am able to get good enough at cold process soap I would like to start a small soap making business from home. I've only made cold process once and didn't add any lm oils as I wasn't sure if it would affect the process it needs to go through. Anyway I had thought if I do eventually do this I would experiment with maybe adding a small drop of pay me and attraction oils to the mixes (not enough it would be detectable or scent the soap) but as a way to get returning customers.

Just to add I have also been thinking of trying to make a melt and pour with a bit of chinese wash and uncrossing in it for personal use to wash my hands afters shaking a vinegar jar or handling some of the darker powders and oils tho don't know if the chinese wash would affect the soap setting since its a soapy mixture itself any thoughts on this ?.
Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Incense Powders, ResIns, Agarbatti, Dhoop, Coil, Briquet Incense Questions and Answers
while I'm a cold process soap snob, I still do use melt and pour for some magical work. cold process can be tricky, depending on the ingredients and it takes more to make a batch.
The Lucky Mojo oils work very well in melt and pour soap and you don't have to use an entire bottle for just a few bars. And, since they have not mingled with lye - the magical properties placed into them BY Lucky Mojo stay undisturbed.

Hello,
In Judika Illes book Encyclopedia of 5000 Spells she gives an incense formula for preventing the evil eye. It is supposed to be an extra strength spell incense. She gives the ingredients alum, benzion, coriander seeds, garlic, gum ammoniac, Syrian rue (uzarlik), juniper & sulfur. These are group up in a mortar pestle then the incense can be burned to prevent the evil eye. Is this mixture used in hoodoo & conjure work? If it isn't what incenses would be employed in hoodoo to prevent the evil eye?
Thanks

Nixiac,
If you go to herbs page, http://www.luckymojo.com/mojocatherbs.html , and the incense page, http://www.luckymojo.com/mojocatincense.html#resin , you can look up each ingredient and see how it is used in hoodoo. Some of the herbs used to ward off the evil eye are anise seed, aspand, basil, periwinkle, rue, and sage.

Hi Brooke
I do not know if the detergent base of the Chinese Wash will effect the soap setting/making process. ( I know absolutely nothing about making soap) but if you can't use the Chinese Wash you can use Van Van oil. From what I understand it is essentially the same recipe.
Peace~

adding chinese wash to melt and pour won't effect its texture and consistency if you use a small amount. Just use the about the same amount as you normally would essential oils or fragrance. It's no different than adding additional liquid oils to MP for more moisture.

Thanks I will give it a try with the chinese wash, I have made a bar with van van in it which was nice.
I live at the other side of the world in nz and usually do one or two big orders a year as shipping is too expensive to order just one or two items unless its urgent, so one advantage I have found by adding oils to soaps is that they last longer than if I was just using the oils themselves every day as I get several days from a bar of soap.
Another thought is I have seen soap makers add herbs to their soaps not for hoodoo purposes but many of the same herbs that are used in hoodoo, so no reason they could not be used for hoodoo purposes as well.

Hello, Nixiac-Pharie,
You will need to look these herbs up yourself on the page that Angelael gave you.
Also try this page: www.luckymojo.com/hoodooataglance.html
Also, there are certain herbs that we don't use in Hoodoo.
And, there are certain things that are practiced in other arenas of spellcraft that are not practiced in Hoodoo.

Brooke, the next time you order, keep in mind that these would be some great LM oils to have on hand for adding to melt and pour soap to create a magical bath:
Love Me
Protection
Court Case
Healing
Marriage (if that applies to you)
(if not) Come to Me
Attraction
Look Me over
have fun with it,

Thank you for those suggestions I have all those oils apart from court case as I only got that in powder in case I ever needed to dress papers and protection as I always get firey wall of protection. Over the last couple of years when I do my orders I go for the 12 oils and 12 powders and I re order what I use alot of and then top up the rest with what I might need at some stage. Some from 3yrs ago I still haven't opened but would rather have them on hand if I did need them so slowly I have stocked up on a nice selcection for all different occassions. I also like fast luck for a soap bar as well.

You've been given answers by people who know more than I do, but let me add one thing I do know about: Don't burn sulfur indoors! And don't burn it around metal tools. The gas given off is sulfur dioxide, which smells like rotten eggs. Worse, it combines with water to form sulfuric acid, so breathing it is very bad for your nasal passages and lungs. And if you burn it in your garage, it will rust every piece of metal in there!

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Incense Powders, ResIns, Agarbatti, Dhoop, Coil, Briquet Incense Questions and Answers
I have a question regarding how much saltpeter I should use. I have 3-5 different herbs chosen from Cat's Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic book for a specific condition. I've added saltpeter to these ground herbs before, but it smokes super fast and winds up burning too fast as well. Obviously I've added too much- but I'm having trouble figuring out the right amount.
Any advice for me? *I don't have an issue with making a larger quanity, as I will still use it.
Thanks in advanced!

Hi Bewitching Redhead,
Just to add on to the saltpeter idea. You can also add your herbs and essential oils to one of Lucky Mojo's unscented incense bases. They come in different colors, too. They already have the saltpeter added in the right percentage. This might help get the results you are used to with Lucky Mojo incense, but still let you customize it to your own herbs and desires.

Is it okay to roll a normal incense stick like Nag Champa in the powdered Lucky Mojo incense blends?
I don't really like the smell of some of the powdered incenses, and sometimes they produce too much smoke for a tiny apartment.

Hello, Cortana,
Isn't Nag Champa a strong incense?
Nevertheless, you might want to experiment with just the very tip of the stick with the powdered incense.
I have no idea what the results may be. So, please be very careful with what I have even suggested.

Well now I know what happens when you burn self lighting incense on a charcoal.
I think my intention is what matters, anyway. Nice and quick. Any case, I smoked my bedroom with Love me/stay with me (in addition to some other preparations) a few hours ahead of my target's arrival. So now, to get rid of the out of the ordinary smell the window is open and the fan is running. I have salt across my windowsills, by the by. I guess I'm just wondering if letting out the smell amounts to letting out the energy I just worked to put in. I don't think so, but I am compelled to question myself.

Hello, Naexis ,
You're fine. You put it out into the universe!
And, by the way, I ALWAYS burn my incense outside.
I realize that he was coming to your house but my feeling is that some of the energy is still there while energy went out to many spirits.

It is used to make a current partner love you or love you more, as opposed to calling into your life a new love.
Incense can be burnt in the area where you intend to meet this person, like your bedroom. It can also be used to smoke letters or articles of clothing, or to create mojo hands you carry with you to promote a particular purpose, in this case, to cause your current partner to love you or love you more.
I would use it if my partner were getting bored or had a roving eye and I still wanted more.

Hello, OldHag,
Many people use the incense on a charcoal disc.
In fact, I put petition papers over the charcoal discs and then top it with the incense. That way, both the petition along with the incense is taken up to Spirit.

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Incense Powders, ResIns, Agarbatti, Dhoop, Coil, Briquet Incense Questions and Answers
Hello all!
I love using incense sticks and I tend to burn them all the time in my room. My first question is, is it okay to burn a good luck incense and the next day or same day burn a dragons blood, or drawing money incense?! My second question is, When I burn them I sit the incense holder next to my bed and just dispose of the ashes in a big like flower pot accessory. I have no idea if this is good or not. Should I bury the ashes in my yard for the luck to work, or is what I am doing okay?! Thank you!

Thank you Thomask. I also meant if I can use only money drawing incense to bring me money or does it always have to be used together with like a mojo bag or a candle?!

Hello, victordiaz92 ,
Of course you can use it aloe!
Do you know what I do?
Even though this is self-lighting, I still use a charcoal disc.
I write a petition. Light the charcoal, put the petition paper over the charcoal, and then put the incense over the petition paper.
that way, everything is taken to spirit!
Wishing you the best

Thank you Miss Aida!
I just feel it does not work so well for me if I just light the incense in my room and let it burn. I feel like maybe I was doing something wrong. I will start trying to do what you do but do I just place a charcoal then a piece of paper on it let it burn and let the incense burn over the charcoal?! Thank you again

Hello, victordiaz92 ,
Light the charcoal. Once it is ho, put the petition paper on it and immediately put the incense on the paper.
Let it all burn at once.
I like to do this near an open window or outside (to get to the Spirit world faster)
Take care

Does the incense have to match the oil exactly when doing a spell? For example, is it ok to burn the Love me incense to enhance the energy while burning a candle anointed with Dixie Love or Chuparosa oil on a honey jar?

Hi goldentouch97
The AIRR's Book of Psalms page would be a great resource to find out. Check it out.

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Incense Powders, ResIns, Agarbatti, Dhoop, Coil, Briquet Incense Questions and Answers
Greeting luckymojo members I have a question please.
I have some normal protection incense and also some fiery wall of protection too.
1. Would they be OK to mix and burn together so I'm covered on all the angles?
2. Must I dispose of the remains straight away or can I leave the ash in my burner and keep adding more of the incenses on top for a week or so before I bury them in my back yard?
3. Is it paramount that they are wrapped in foil and actually buried directly into the earth rather than scattered loose on top it?
I have brought a brand new shovel so it's not an issue but just want clarification please.

1) Yes, you may mix and blend incense powders and resins, just as we also do with herbs and oils.
2) You may let incense ashes accumulate.
3) Disposal of ashes may depend upon the type of spell you are undertaking and the prayers you recite. For instance, if a Psalm says something is to be scattered to the wind like chaff, that is how you would treat those ashes. Likewise, if something is to be buried in a grave, you would bury it. Also, if you were working a protection spell, it would be logical to spread the ashes neatly around the perimeter of your property or at the four corners, to mark your territory. Please see this web page I wrote as a chapter in my free online book "Hoodoo in Theory and Practice" on the deployment and disposal of ritual remains:

Good luck!

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Incense Powders, ResIns, Agarbatti, Dhoop, Coil, Briquet Incense Questions and Answers
Greetings to all
I was suffering crossed conditions a few months ago so I did a cleanse of my home using uncrossing incense in every room while reciting psalms 23 and then burned a mixture of both normal protection and fiery wall incenses together to secure the place afterwards. Although I had to seek professional assistance after to help me resolve my poor health caused by being crossed; The rituals I did myself did improve the vibe in my home drastically, it became so tranquil and positive.
I feel like my home could do with a little boost just to bring the energy back up to the level it has been at for the last 5 or so months but since I am no longer crossed thanks to the prossional work I had done, would it be sufficient to just use the two protection incenses and leave out the uncrossing one this time.

Hello GamesavyLB,
If this were me I go through and burn Blessing incense. Then after that is done go through with another round of protection! The idea is that you took out what was negative by burning the Uncrossing. Now you want to fill that void with Blessings and then protect that Blessing work!
Peace~
Nathen

After thinking it over for a whie, I decided to take the advice in "Paper in My Shoe" by Miss Yronwode and burn a Psalm to ashes on some powder incense. The result was rapid, and I liked the way it felt doing this. Thanks for the tip.

Has anyone ever experienced a "floating" flame while burning loose powder/self-lighting incense?
I was working my honey jar and lit some incense and the flame just dances in the air for a good 20 seconds. Maybe just an optical illusion? A sign? Either way, that was quite strange...
