Has anyone experienced dreams in which they are performing spells?

The last couple of nights I've been having dreams related to spells, the in first dream I was back home with my family and someone was trying to goofer us, so with a bit of detective work I found out who it was and I hotfooted them.

The second dream was last night night and I was doing a green/black double action candle and when I butted the candle I saw that it was only green/black on the outside and white on the inside, needless to say I was unhappy.

The weird thing is that I have no experience with either one of these spells, I'm sure that It's just because hoodoo is becoming more prevalent in my waking life and I've been doing a ton of research on everything.

Hello ConjuringCat ,
I would keep a log of thee dreams
And if there is a continuous prevalent theme, I would heed the messages.
Then, you may want to talk to an AIRR member who deals with dream interpretations and remedy whatever message is being given to you.

Hopefully, it's just because you're being more awakened to Hoodoo (as you had said)
Wishing you the best

Hello, Sabrina3 ,
I'm sorry but...
We do not perform dream interpretations on the forum.
You could buy a book on dream interpretations here: www.luckymojo.com/mojocatbooks.html
Or contact a reader
http://readersandrootworkers.org
OR
www.hoodoopsychics.com
My suggestion is to keep a dream log first and see if there's a pattern to your dreams.
I am moving your post t the appropriate subforum
take care

Recently in a dream, a big black man - whom i suspect was a jinn or loa - came to me regarding my mother, who is 89, and recovering from a broken neck. (no paralysis)
He instructed me to make this for her:
Coffee
Basil
Salt or Sugar
He made me repeat it several times. I awoke clear @ 4 in the morning, got up and made the mixture, grinding it together in an earthen bowl. I contained it and gave it to my mom to keep with her, and occasionally she burns it as incense.

Does anyone have insight on what this is?
Thanks,
Elihue

I don't know if you will be able to see this reply, but, I do have a little bit to offer.
Please describe the Black Man. Did he have a hat, or a cane, a limp??? This gives us a clue as to who is giving you the instructions.
The other part I have for you, Coffee is sometimes used as a substitute for graveyard dirt in work.
I think you did the right thing, and you may get more info later, it's possible.
Good Luck and quick recovery and strong bones to your Mother:)

I am sure this comes from outside of traditional conjure work. Zee Rohour, where did you learn this?

Working with the dead, using dirt from their graves as a magical link, is an important feature of traditional hoodoo. The dead are not feared (except perhaps for individuals who were evil or fearsome in life), so no substitute is necessary.

Coffee is used mostly as a carrier for spells involving menstrual blood. Some workers also use it to keep people crossed and in the dark, because of its dark color. I remember reading (in Hyatt?) some old spells calling for submerging photos or name papers in coffee for negative work.

The man was black black, and had a faint blue light surrounding him. He had on sparse exotic clothing and something on his head. The was sitting down, cross legged or side ways. The dream room was dark, but it felt close, like a dense forest or a cave. His voice was very deep, possibly with the hint of an accent.

Miss Aida,

I didn't expect such a fast response, I'm so sorry. It's Sunday night and I'm just checking the forum. I would like to bring up the dream direction on the show. I have been getting dream direction ( a killer hot foot powder the other night) but the man and the coffee basil mix is indeed intriguing.
May I have another link for next week? I'll put it in my datebook and not miss it.
Also. could I access from my android phone?
Sincerely,
Elihue

Hello everyone,

I've had this dream quite a few times over the years. I don't remember when I've had it for the first time.
Some periods of times the dream will be more often. Then it won't happen for a while. Then it will again.
I do notice that this nightmare seems to appear again in times of distress.

So, here it goes:
I dream that I sleep and that I can not move, I am paralyzed. There is this great fear and anxiety linked to it, it always feels like I'm afraid of something that is not of this world.
In the dream I try to do everything I can to get out of the paralysis and sleep state. So I'm struggling in my dream to wake up. I try to move with all my power, I try to scream with all my power, I try to open my eyes with all my power. I am afraid, very afraid, all I know in the dream is that I have to do everything and fight as hard as I can to wake up!

The interesting part is that this is a nightmare that results in me waking up for real. A few days ago it happened again. I woke up from the nightmare screaming - of course - I was trying to scream in my nightmare as of to get out of that horrifying state - so I end up in reality screaming.

Anyone has any idea as of what this might be?
And yes, I am in a period of distress - I am not really surprised it's appeared again.

PS: I am looking for explanations on different topics, I also posted a message asking if maybe Ive been cursed in another category.

Thank you for the reply.
Before i posted I read some of the other posts others had.
I don't mean to sound silly but what is a 'hag' exactly? I tried to find a description on luckymojo.com but I can't find it easily and on wikipedia the explanation is about an 'old woman malevolent'.
Thank you for guiding me into finding answers.

Hello, GoldenViolet,
Yes, it could be an old malevolent witch.
But (and I forgot to tell you this and I sincerely apologize), it could also be a form of sleep paralysis (which is a medical condition).
Have you seen a physician about this? I would go that route first (just to be safe).
If the Physician can't find anything first, then it's time to work Hoodoo.

Not sure if I should continue here, it's about an 'unrestful' night. Not about nightmares.
Last night was weird in my house. Everyone woke up multiple times, restless - even my cats were restless. Strange.
I am going to do a Cleansing soon with the help of Miss Aida.

I was wondering if I can do something in the meantime to 'protect' myself, my family, my house from 'unrestful' nights. Anyone has suggestions?

Hello, GoldenViolet,

Do you have any images of St Michael? You can pray to him to protect you

Do you have camphor? Do you have Florida water? You can mix together and out under your bead.

What about Kosher or sea salt mixed with water?

Hi, I'm not sure if this is in the correct place.

I have literally just been woken up by my mother. The strange thing was I was dreaming about literally, physically bumping in to my ex whilst blindfolded (I always have odd dreams, sometimes almost psychic prediction type dreams so that, I am used to) my ex, who is the target for my work at present, and my mother woke me up to tell me that he was outside parked up in his work's truck. We live at the end of a cul de sac, so he can't have just been passing. He has been parked there for the last 30 mins, no one has gotten out. He and his colleague are just sat there.

I don't know if the two things are linked, I like to think they are, so I'm sat here with my mojo in my hand and my doll baby snuggled up to me. If I wasn't sick I'd maybe consider going out there, but I don't want to push him I need to be patient and complete my spells and wait for my blockbuster candle to finish.

Hi all.....

If there is anyone who would be so kind as to helps interpret this dream I had last night?

)Let me add that I have dreamt stuff lots of times and they have happened.)

I had a dream last night that I bought a gold Bracelet from a woman, and just before she have it to me she recited a prayer to Saint Clara or Santa Clara and then she gave the bracelet which I then put on my hand.

Does anyone have an idea as to what this might mean?

affie,

It sounds like she is reaching out to you, possibly about wearing an item with her on it for support or to help you in the cause. She is known for psychic ability right? Find a gold st clair bracelet and pray and wear it is my advice!!

Hello Everyone,
I need protection, cleansing, unjixing from an ongoing problem with love and money.
Been laid of a few years and after trying to find a job, went back to school and hoped to find a job before financial aid ran out.

I've been using 13 herb baths, setting lights with FWP, Run Devil Run,Uncrossing, Agrimony, Rue, Verbena, Lemongrass, Ginger, dragonsblood, camphor, on red or white candles turned upside down to undo ongoing enemy work. Took a while but my enemies are becoming affected. I'm aware of them in my spirit but no longer intimidated. Confidence is coming back.

My finances still need big, big help so I began re-listening to LM Rootwork Hour for help on Friday, 09/05/2014.
As part of my work I clean the house with lemon ammonia and pine cleaner, wiped doorknobs, mopped damp mopped floors, took a “blue bath”. For cutting, cleansing, money and spiritually uplift.
This time I used Lemon ammonia/salt cleaned my purse and wallet used patchouli oil after and said Psalm 23 praying for help.

This time I printed out Psalm 35 and brought a new big kitchen knife with two smaller paring knives and used them to make a “hilt” to the big knife. I wanted a cross made out of knives, which I placed with the long blade toward the bottom end of the paper like a cross for protection. I put this at the end of sofa, underneath the sofa cushion where I lay my head. I want the highest Helping Hand.

The next morning I had a vivid dream, about getting divine help. I woke up feeling encouraged and uplifted.
I struggled really hard all day to get through the day.
Should I have had the knife pointed at the top of the paper?
My work goal, I'll work from home selling my art online, performing as a musician, making a living with dignity, making others feel they can make it, too. Legacy of love, encouragement.
Many thanks for all the help that is on the LM board,
God's highest good for each of you, go with with all of you-

Libbinbelle, I love the cross made of knives. Sounds very intimidating and impressive :)

Yes, do try point-up, away from you, rather than point-down.

The Psalm and cross-of-knives under your head as you sleep is classic treatment for hag-riding -- attacks in your sleep. You might need something on your person during the day, as you go about your business and earn your living. I like the Fiery Wall of Protection mojo bag.

Also, when you come to prosperity work, protect it well and reinforce it with Road Opener or even Block Buster.

Good luck,

Hi Miss Michele,

The big knife seemed like it would be strong, I didn't think about the up or down placement until the end of the day. After realizing that the encouraging dream of that morning was so different from how rough the day was.
My thought was that having the point down like a cross would make it more powerful for my intent.
My dream the next day was about getting help in unexpected ways. The day itself was about fighting through messy situations.
I now have point facing toward the bottom of the page. :-)

To protect myself and my work I'm using FWP, Road Opener, St Michael for protecting the prosperity work I was doing. I'll be more consistent. Can I use the Psalm 35 or Psalm 91 with a knife facing upward in a picture frame behind a religious picture for added protection?
I think I have a little Block Buster oil, too.
Thank you for reading and replying.

If we're talking about picture frames now, you could just plain have either of those Psalms in calligraphy or as a beautiful poster facing your door. The knife can be right beside the door, outdoors, plunged into the ground, with the sharp side of the blade facing away from the house, ready to cut a spiritual attacker. But that's a separate job from the cross-of-knives.

Another good old-fashioned way to work is to place a knife or open scissors (or your cross-of-knives) on top of a Bible open to Psalm 91 -- under your bed. If you don't have pets who can get into your bedroom at night, that might be a more (physically) comfortable way to go.

Hi Miss Michaele,

I meant to say that I now have point facing toward the TOP of the page. ;-o
I like the framed psalm or poster facing the door idea. There is a beautiful font I have been wanting to use or I'm thinking about using my handwriting, it is artistic and I would enjoy writing out the psalms. I'm thinking that if I had cement by my front door could I use potted plants to put the knife in, blade toward the street.
Thank you for a great idea.

I tried to help my self using psalm 91 but I'm not sure I did it right.
I printed out my family's pictures wrote their birthdates on them and glued them, the birthdate side to the back of Psalm 91, however, after I did it I thought, hhmm isn't that like mirror writing on the back of the psalm?
Poured jinx killer on the them and put them in a zip lock bag, thinking jinx killer helps either way and that when the glue starts to dissolve I'll take them apart. I'm not sure how to handle it the right way for disposal if I didn't do it the right way to begin with.

In the meantime I printed out my family's pictures surround by Arch Angels and Jesus, wrote our birth dates on the back of Psalm 91 and put it in a jar with Hosea ch6, verse 1,2 added the seal of Jesus God for divine protection, slippery elm (for gossip and other folks mess to slide off of us), bay leaves(protection, success) and salt (blessing).

I'm putting the psalm 91 in my glove compartment and using fennel oil by my license plates for my car.

Goal of all this work is to push back clear long standing bad stuff hanging around or still being sent, bringing back the good stuff, give me space to recover, build up and go forward.

As you can tell I need the help :-}
Thank you for reading and replying ;-)

It would actually be more traditional, too. I'm told there's more spiritual power in handwriting than in print. However, printed texts and pictures have been used in rootwork just as soon as they were widely available.
I'm thinking that if I had cement by my front door could I use potted plants to put the knife in, blade toward the street.

That should work fine.

I believe you're overthinking at this point.

Positive work can be disposed of by burial in your front yard.

This sounds good.
I'm ... using fennel oil by my license plates for my car.
Nice:)

See before i went to sleep i felt a negative presence. i was making a bottle for my son and i could feel a presence watching me.

So i had a nightmare. i was at a prison to visit my husband. Me and my mom didn't seem bothered at all by the fact that inmates were lined up to have their heads chopped off. but one stood up after he had lost his head, and as he did blood splattered on me. the eyes and mouth on the head was still move like he was trying to scream. it wasn't until then i was freaked out, but my parents were just like "o its ok its just a lil blood."

And after we left the prison i was in the back seat of a car when a crow flew in the window and latched his claws around my arm and refused to let go no matter what i did to him. he was trying hard to bite or peck at me, just didn't want to release my arm.

my question is what could this mean?

Do i need to put up a protection spell?

I would say that the combination of your sense of a negative presence before you fell asleep and presence of the crow as an attacker at the end of the dream would indicate that the dream was sent to you.

The dream itself -- the beheadings and agony of the prison inmates and the nonchalance of your parents -- is the "message" that was being sent by this spirit.

So, yes, someone sent that spirit. You do need protection while asleep from such intrusive drems of hopelessness and terror.

I hope I can get some help. My best friends son has told her that out of fear and anxiety starting a new school he created a dream like "world" in his head that he retreated to whenever he was nervous. Then, he says, he remembers just waking up in school from what he thought was a nap but his friends said he was active and doing work in class while he was "blacked out" - in this dream world...

Now he told his m om that there is a dark entity or demon in this world that just appeared without being conjured and now torments him...he cant sleep.

I know this is way above my head or level of expertise but I have Fiery Wall and Cast off Evil oils and herbs that I can give her with advise and I can do some prayer work for him by proxy. At the least she can do cleansings, etc. ANY help would be appreciated!

Hello, SaundraRene,

Oh, geez. This is so sad.

Yes, definitely use those products.

BUT PLEASE PLEASE take this child to a physician IMMEDIATELY. There may be something medical happening here.

Then, if there is no medical problem (and it sounds like there might be), I suggest a reading to see what exactly is going on.

Get readings from: http://readersandrootworkers.org
OR

I pray for this child's mental and physical well-being

take care

Miss Aida gave excellent advice. While getting the boy a physical and a reading, there are some things your friend could TRY to perhaps help him sleep. Cleanse the boy and the entire home with Chinese Wash and maybe some Uncrossing Incense - seal and do protection work. Sprinkle Blessed Salt on his sheets, sprinkle Marjoram in the corners of his room ( replace monthly ). Burn a Cast Off Evil Vigil Candle and keep a Bible open to Psalm 91 by his bed. Mention specifically in your prayers that the boy and his family be freed and protected from evil in any form, especially in his subconscious mind and dream state. Get a picture of St. Michael the Archangel and keep it near the boy's bed. Teach the boy Saint Michael's prayer and have him ask for protection at bedtime.

I have had "stuff' happen to me over the years ... these are some of the things that helped me. I have said a prayer for this child and his family. Keep us posted about the child and the situation. Take care.

Hi Miss Michaele,
I tried to help my self using psalm 91 but I'm not sure I did it right.
I printed out my family's pictures wrote their birthdates on them and glued them, the birthdate side to the back of Psalm 91, however, after I did it I thought, hhmm isn't that like mirror writing on the back of the psalm?
"I believe you're overthinking at this point. "

Yes, I do tend to overthink sometimes, perhaps because stuff has been going on for so long?
Thank you for pointing it out. It helps to have someone else take a look.

I'm keeping the first set of pictures I glued to the 91st Psalm and dressed with jinx killer.
I like that I can print out Psalms or other scriptures without damaging a bible.

I like the 91st Psalm and it's references 'He will give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways” for my family.

Continuing with the protection work and psalms now, I'm working on prosperity. My sugar bowl was full of ants, so I've cleaned it out. I'm thinking of using packets of sugar and honey that ants can't get into, putting in a paper with “He gives me the power to get wealth with my name written on the back, with my business cards, magnets and lining it with green paper with prosperity oils.

Update- I just found out for sure that the mortgage hasn't been paid for several months.

I'm working to get away from a spoiled, narcisstic, abusive man, he has degrees MBA, EE and experience, he's often asked to be on boards and commitees, but since he was laid off last year, “nothing is good enough”, so he smokes pot and drinks. He is not the father of my children, we were both divorced when we met. I loved him very much but that has gradually eroded away by his narcisstic behavior. I've tried to help, but I'm done.

Something told me to “nail” down the property a few months ago, and redouble my job search efforts and check with friends just in case.

A friend gave me a job lead, I'm still looking and so far no one has room for me.
I thought I'd have more time to get myself worked into a better situation.

Thank you, thank you again for your help, comments and general moral support.

Hello SaundraREne,

I think a mojo hand is a good idea. It can be kept under the pillow while he sleeps. I would use Fiery Wall of Protection (http://www.luckymojo.com/fierywallofprotection.html). hope this is helpful!

Peace~

Hello, I really hope this is the right area to post this. I've been looking through the search forever and I think I'm just never going to understand how to work a forum. -.-

The other night I did some dream work I had read a little bit about. Where you go to the person, sit beside them and talk to them. I'm not sure what it's called.
But, I was able to do it because I was half asleep for it and it was the middle of the morning so he was probably sleeping. And it worked, because he did what I asked him to by the time I woke up.
I tried it again last night but it didn't work and I think it's because he wasn't asleep. I have no way of being able to tell when he's asleep so I was wondering if there were any other tricks I could do to influence his dreams?

Thank you for reading!

Hello twinednature,

Congratulations on the success of your working. I would keep doing the work you are doing but another way to influence a person is by working with a white skull candle http://www.luckymojo.com/products-candle-skull.html and Influence spiritual products http://www.luckymojo.com/influence.html

Best of luck!

I figured if I just prepared everything for the mother to do, the work would be stronger for both the child and the house, as his mother is a very strong woman. I prepared for them incense using the appropriate herbs for healing, mixed with Cast off Evil, Fiery Wall and Holy Oil to smoke the house. As well as a cleansing bath herbs for all 3 children, mom and dad AND the house along with a vial of the oil mix mentioned above for individual anointing. After that is done I also dressed a St. Michael candle with dirt from the four corners of their home, the oil blend, herbs, etc for the house. I prepared a mojo hand made in white with High John, star anise, his nails, petition, the same incense I made and oils and had him breath on it after anointing with whiskey. He reported to his mom that the entity is no longer tormenting him, so I think that is a good sign!

Thank you for the update. Saint Michael came to my aid when I called out to him. Now that the child can sleep, work on protection so the evil can't get back. Buy some Chinese Wash - it is great for cleaning the spiritual ick out of the home. If it were my boy, I would make cleansing home and self a routine. Cleansing, prayers and protection work. That said, the route you took appears to have been very effective. I would just keep my guard up for a while because these things try to sneak back sometimes. In one of my situations, I knew the thing was really gone because the front door of the house was ajar the next morning - when it had been securely locked the night before. It was weird ... but sometimes there is a physical sign that the entity has left. Best wishes to you, the child, and his family.

MoonBreath,

Wow thank you for that. I gave them enough cleansing supplies for a few days only...herbs are kind of expensive. But I told her if she needs more oils I can help with the mix and she can sage the home as well on her own. I wonder if I should set a St Michael candle on my own to keep the work going?

Has the boy had a reading yet? That would be helpful in determining WHAT was bothering him and what would be needed to banish it. Some "things" need more work than others. Read through the threads about Chinese Wash on here. The family needs a bottle in the home. Just add a bit to the mop water when cleaning the house ... that will get rid of nasties while cleaning the physical home. I have found Florida Water to be very good to have on hand as well. I am not employed by Lucky Mojo, but their products are good and you need to order some, in my opinion. I just feel like adding Chinese Wash to the mop water is the bare minimum here. Get the reading done, determine what sort of issue it was, then you can know better what to order to keep things spiritually clean.

Birdlady,

That sounds like a fun dream. I would interpret it to mean that you already have some gifts, probably through your ancestors, that allow you to perform some forms of magic without specific teaching or training.

Good luck!

Birdlady,

Holy smokes! I had a very similar dream two nights ago: I was in a classroom in the downstairs area of a baptist church. About 40 people - mostly adults - were seated on folding chairs at folding tables. A petite black woman was teaching a class on hoodoo magic spells. Most of the people were skeptical and bored, but something clicked for me and I "got" it. The teacher and her husband and child (seated among the students) beamed with smiles of elation. A box was given to me. It was the size of a book. It had not been opened for about 2,000 years. When I opened it, a wool flannel blanket came out of it and I covered myself. The secrets of the universe were somehow written, invisibly, on the blanket, and I understood everything - any thing I desired to know, it suddenly all made sense before I could ask the question. I marveled. When I woke up, I struggled to recall what I understood in the dream.

I think that the teacher in the dream and her family were angels (or represent them symbolically).

Hello, Birdlady,

We don't give involved interpretations on the forum.

But I will tell you this:

Sounds like a very spiritual dream to me. Hope you have considered taking the course!

Take care

Birlady,

Usually in dreams where an interpretation is called for, it's good to consider your own associations with any word, situation or symbol.

However the bit about avoiding a wet floor is interesting. Throughout Judeo-Christian scripture, the bodies of water are used to represent unawareness, spiritual sleep and ignorance. In the book of Matthew, Jesus walks on water, signifying that he has the power to conquer "the world". Because he has been set free by the truth, ignorance has no power to drown him like the foolish people in Noah's day - they, being ignorant, were on the wrong side of the truth, so when the rain (truth) came, it swallowed them up. It was bad news indeed for them - but not for Noah and his family who were gently carried away by the rising water.

But! In both the Tao te Ching and Judeo-Christian scripture, bodies of water and rain also represent 1) the way things are or "the way" or 2) "the law" or absolute truth - not ignorance at all! In fact, Jesus himself calls truth - the thing that we all search for - the Water of Life. He mourns that we are ignorant of the law (which many if not most people believe to be the ten commandments, and maybe also some combination of the decrees of Moses and a sprinkle of other things - I don't agree).

So which is it? Is water bad or good? The truth or darkness? It depends who is asking.

Evil spirits, we are told in the bible, seek dry places (humans that don't have the water of life - the truth in them)! The truth is acid to these dark spirits.

In your dream, Birdlady, it looks to me like the wetness on the floor represents a thing you can float or "skip over", like Noah in his boat. Once you are set free by the truth, you don't even get wet - it's not necessary because you aren't thirsting for truth any more, as the Water of Life is in you. Meaning, breaking free from the lie that this world is basically mechanistic and yeah, maybe there is a distant creator called God... and embracing the primacy of spirit (By faith we understand that the universe was created by God's command, so that what is seen has been made from things which do not appear. Hebrews 11:13)

If you pass grade one, you don't have to go back and take those tests. Did you have reoccurring dreams of not graduating class, or generally being unprepared before this? God tests us (Deut. 13:1). What is the purpose of a test other than to advance to the next level? Either way, I think it's a good dream.

Ms Susan I had a dream some time ago, and this one, I did know what it meant. Jesus Christ stood right on the side of my bed with his arms extended showing me he had no hands, I'm not making this up, it did not scare me, the next few days I walked into botanical shop and there he was a statue of him with no hands, which I found very mean , they explained that if you want a favor from him, you would remove them and when granted you put them back on him. Now, to see that made me very sad to say the lest. Hope no one ever has to go that way,, Blessing Birdlady

Hi Birdlady,

It is always profound to dream of Jesus. He was sending you a message.
The fact that you walked into a Bortanica that had a statue of him with no hands and they explained
that the reason is because of asking a favor, and when you receive the favor the hands are put back on
is how they do it. There is nothing wrong with that, and it must mean something good to them.

To me, I believe in Jesus as whole. And to ask Jesus for a favor while manipulating his statue is not
really Kosher in my book. But each to his own. I pray to Jesus for healings, help, comfort, whatever.
And when I pray to him I also praise him and thank him because I assume that I have been given what it is that I need.
It is already here in other words.

I'd encourage you to get a statue of Jesus with his hands intact, if you haven't one already.
The Lucky Mojo Curio Co sells them. :)
Don't be sad, be happy! You are the Birdlady! I love that name. :)

Many Blessings to you,
Ms. Susan
