I just started a new job and I am really excited about it. But my supervisor, who has been in the position for four years, has been giving me a lot of trouble and treating me unfairly when we have only been working together for about a week. He ignores me and any of my ideas, is rude to me and tries to send me away constantly. I feel he is intimidated by me. What can I do to improve the situation? I really love my new job and have wanted to work here for a long time.

Last July I was involuntarily transferred to "fix" another department at my agency which was having serious problems. I did what I was asked to do and it has been a lot more work that my peers have to be responsible for. I have asked for a reclassification for my position to receive more money. I have an appointment with the executive director very soon and would like to know how will this go. Have they heard me and will I be successful for what I am asking? Thanks.

It is said that magic takes the path of least resistance. How can I direct that path to my best interest. For example: if the querent is requesting to marry a rich Doctor. How do I focus on the result of them meeting at say starbucks versus her getting into a car accident and falling in love with the attending emergency physician. Is this my skill issue? If so, how do I improve my work in this manner.
