merry meet everybody! hope i am in a right topic;

may i ask if anyone know where i can find useful and complete info (step by step) on red apple spell? i saw a lot of info on a sugar jar but i wonder how to work with red apple?
the magick or nature to be involve in is fascinating;

i understand its not something i can buy on LM or i can? i saw a book offered on it but its only 1 page how to work with apple, isn't it? or if there is a book dedicated to red apple magick or other fruit/veggie to bury under the tree i d buy;

thanks s lot dear Ms Melanie, but the book is most about container spells and only 1 page about red apple spell, or i'm mistaken?

Hello Slava,

I am assumin you looked over the table of contents of the hoodoo honey and sugar spells book but have not read the whole book. That one page in the book describes everything you need to know in order to work a red apple for sweetening work and in reading the whole book you will gain an understanding of how sweetening spells work in general which will make you even more capable. So getting the book will give you all the instructions you need. Your other option is to hire a worker to coach you through the work.

I did a honey jar about a week ago..my ex and I were at our worst...to a point where I just knew we would NEVER reconcile. ...so one day we got in a TERRIBLE argument and I gave up on the honey jar...the next day while at work..I went on break and he text me saying...he misses me...it was so random because for months he HAD NEVER showed amy type feeling for me.....so its making me a believer abkut this little honey jar!!!!....I was skeptical at first..but figured y not try it.....and btw...I never burned a whole candle as its said...I just burn it for a few minutes...say my wish..thoughts..prayer...and blow it out...and let the wax drip over the jar....and I still got results...AND TRUST ME ...it may not be my complete results but as bad as we had gotten...made me feel like its working..just wanted to share!

Hello; I hope this post is in the right place. I have worked with honey jars before and they have always worked, but this time I want to work with a honey jar for myself. I want to sweeten my life so that things can start working in my favor. I really need a apartment and I figured writting what I want apartment wise on a piece of paper and writting my name over it would be great to then put in a honey jar. So I've finally started my first honey jar and I hope I did it right. I only had pictures of the man I want my intentions for. Unfortunately I had no personals such as hair or body fluids, but I'm hoping if the jar works I will get those things and be able to add them. Anyway, I just started the jar literally today, a little while ago. I have the candle burning on the jar and the flame is very still, hardly moving at all. But so far the candle seems to be burning cleanly down. Im not seeing any drips and it seems to be burning evenly. Is this a good sign? I'm somewhat anxious and hope I did the ritual correctly for the jar. I kept my written intention short and I stated it aloud and stated it while I lit the candle.

My daughter enjoyed going to school last year, but this year she has had trouble making friends. I have been thinking about making a honey jar using some of the little Valentine's Day cards as name papers since they've been signed by the children in her class. Is it better to write the name papers myself with the girls' last names, or to use the card signatures which only have their first names? The teacher and the principal have both done all they can do to help.

That is an excellent idea. I would take the names from the cards and put them in the bottom of a sugar bowl. Then if you are able to make some cookies or something using that sugar for a school event or just because do it!

How long before a honey jar will start to work? I'm sure everyone has a different success rate and I just started mine but I was wondering if there's a certain timeline for it. I've lit 3 candles so far on it on three different days and all three candles burned clean down to nothing. The flame was very bright and didn't move at all. I hope this is a good a sign. I also didn't have any personal effects such as hair or fluids, just pics. I do hope my jar works.

Honey jars are slow starting but long lasting, Like the saying slow and steady wins the race. Of course they can happen sooner, it depends as you already stated. Traditionally watch and wait for signs for 3 days, watch for movement in 3 mo and manifestation in 3 months. the burn and wax signs are all good signs to the work. If you see this personal and talk regularly you can also use some of the honey to cook them treats, add other love herbs and mens blood as well. I hope your jar works as well, so dont second guess it, have faith, Jesus says we need the faith of a musterd seed, surely you have that much! trust the work and pray to God while doing it.

I'm no expert and also a newbie so that's why I totally understand the anxiety. Speaking from personal experience, don't hope and it's not the matter of the jar works or not. It's your intention whether it's meant to be answered or not. When I did the first jar I didn't have any personal concern but it worked great because I just asked and believed in Goddess of Venus (that's who I pray my honey jar on). She HAS the power but it's up to her whether she will help or not. We just have to try our best to focus with our whole heart and ask! I'm working on my 2nd jar with personal concern but is not as effective because I 've seen result and naturally I have expectation no matter how hard I tell myself not to question, not to expect.

I know I need to remain positive but it's been difficult this week. Having many different emotions. Ok so I did 2 honey jars for my daughter. On was to be closer to her current group of friends. I used influence, love me and look me over. It was for a group of 6 girls. It worked great on 3 of the girls and is very slow/not so much change on of them. The last girl, my daughter decided 8 was not worth it and she is also the sister of on of the mean girls in jar 2. My question for this jar is, should I make a new jar since she doesn't want to be friends with one of the girls and can I make a honey jar for just the 2 others that is moving slow/not changing?

The second jar was to stop gossip on 5 other girls.one is gossiping but not sure which one.we think it is the mean sister. That jar I put in stop gossip, look me over, influence and love me but no movement. When the mean girl is out of the picture, my daughter and the original girls are great. When she comes back in my daughter gets shunned by the 2 slow.moving girls from jar one. Should I do a break up spell with these 3 girls? I don't want to harm anyone. This girl just loves to cause drama and has split many friendships. Or should input her in her own honey jar?

Also I am having trouble bburning candles on m, w, f even though I am using birthday candles. My hubby is around and doesn't like this stuff so can I do monday, tues, we'd and thurs to make up for it?

Hi tribaby789,
Since the jar is already working on most of the girls, I'd leave it as is rather than mess with something good. Either the mean girl will come around eventually, or the work simply won't hit her, but it will keep working on the rest of the gang. For the two remaining girls, they're still in the honey jar, so you don't need another one just for them. It does mean that another approach might work better rather than trying more of the same. For them, consider burning candles on their name (purple or yellow tapers anointed with Influence and Bewitching or Love Me), or making a sugar bag on them for the purpose of cooking with it (rather than as a honey jar-type work) and feeding it to the girls on a regular basis in cookies, cakes and other goodies.
For the gossip diva, consider Separation rather than Break-Up if you don't want to hurt anyone. If your daughter works with you rather than you working hid, also consider having her dust the girl's foottracks with Stop Gossip powder (or lift a foot-track and then you work it into a bottle spell with Stop Gossip).
For the candle days, work when you can if circumstances don't permit you the days you'd prefer.

Moonbeam38,
Consider taking Tranquility baths when you're feeling upset during the work, it can help you be calmer and less doubtful. Also see if the circumstances justify your initiating contact - sometimes reaching out in the mundane world is necessary, not just magical intervention: but it depends from one situation to another.

For the 2 other girls, you suggested a taper candle..Do I just light one with both their names and let them burn down all the way or just a little eveyday?

I wish I could give these girls cookies and sweets but my daughter does not see them in school and they do not come over all that often. They go out usually. She does play soccer with one of the girls and I think it would be really weird to all of a sudden start feeding the kid cookies when I haven't before. She is trying out for the soccer team and I may be able to have her give each girl a cookie but that is only if she makes the team. Is there another option? If I can pull off the cookies how long do I do it.

Hi Aura,

Ive tried reaching out with no success. I know the guy my honey jar is for is going through a very difficult time now and has seemed to have cut himself off from everyone. He even deleted his Facebook. I tried to reach out and he didn't respond. My advisor has also lit a chuparossa candle for me and feels it's working and he will contact very soon. I do trust her greatly as she has been very accurate and correct for me in the past regarding other relationships. It's hard not to doubt. Every candle I've lit on my honey jar has burned cleanly and evenly and straight down to nothing but a tiny piece of wick. The flame also remains very still during the burning, not jumping around or moving at all. There is never any dripping down the sides of the candle. Ive been reading other people's experiences and it seems this is a good thing for me. However, I've yet for him to contact me or see anything happen. This is the start of my second week burning the candles. I'm also dressing the candles in Love Me oil and Return to Me oil.

I do take cleansing baths to release the negativity I've been experiencing. When I feel those thoughts becoming overwhelming I take the cleansing bath. I hope to have some positive movement soon from him.

TO be honest it sounds like you are being a bit impatient. Yes the wax signs you have are good signs. But you said you been doing it now the second week! We watch and wait for signs in 3 days, movement in 3 weeks and manifest in 3mo. Sure it can happen sooner but thats the guide. candles over a week is too soon to complain about not having movement. If the guy is cut off right now then keep the work up and pray for his return and while he is in this solidarity moment that he realize his love for you. Also candles burning good are a sign but you need to also focus on the goal and pray whole heartedly, connect with the spirits involved in the work. Ask your friend to also burn a healing candle on him to heal him of whatever it is that troubles him.

Thanks for the advice. I have definitely been praying each day for things to get sorted out for him and to contact me. I think I'm more anxious that he won't come back rather than it working fast. I know it's a slow moving spell but I can't help that part of me that worries he won't return. I'm working on that, that's my issue. But I will continue to have faith and pray for a positive outcome. I will also suggest to my advisor if there are some candles we can light for his matters to clear up soon.

Ok so I couldn't find taper candles but I did find class enclosed yellow and pink. I used one candle for both names. I carved the names and petition into the top of the candle and dressed it with love me and influence oil as suggested. I also added a pinch of sugar and said " as sweet as this sugar is to you, so will you be to _____". I also wrote the petition, both girls names 3 times and crossed them with the petition and my daughters name and placed it under the candle. How does this sound. I did the same with another candle for 2 girls from the gossip group that are sometimeish with my daughter. I figured they will be on the soccer team so they might at well be sweet to her. I will keep you posted.

I am giving up on my honey jar. He is currently seeing someone. The timing has always been off. When he is ready I am not when I am he isn't. Its been 5 weeks since I began. All of my burns have been clean burns no wax drippings or smoke or anything. I have been using love me, come to me, adam and eve, fires of love oil to anoint my candles and I work my jar about 3 times a week. We talk several times a week and he seems into me but I don't want to wait for him or any man for that matter. One day I did have a single drip of wax and it formed into a perfect little heart. It was pretty odd. I don't want to do any spell work to break them up or separate them. I just give up.

As a follow-up on my latest honeyjar. I have not really burned any candles on it since the first week. And I have not used any oils on the candles since the first day. So, yesterday, I was talking casually with my intended's cousin and they mentioned that have I ever thought about perhaps under certain circumstances that I may actually have a chance with my intended. The cousin knows I do care for this person already. As for just mentioning it all out of the blue with no prompting is interesting to me. So, with the sister coming back in contact with me and with the cousin mentioning this to me. I would say that this jar is indeed on a slow and steady path for me. There are certain things that can be chalked up to coincidence, but being that I had also just performed my honey jar and it has started happening. I am mostly leaning toward that. I am satisfied. And I feel that all will work out the way it is supposed to in due time. Consulting my Jackball, I have about a year that things will work out the way I actually want it to.. but that is the current path and all that could change.

I want to clarify that I don't want to do any breakup spell work for me I don't think its right. He reaches out and we talk the connection is still so strong. He said today for some reason the timing has just been wrong. He also said that he cant deny he feels very strongly towards me and doesn't want to lose me. I still feel him and that's even more stressful. They say soulmate connections are never easy but I don't want to ruin his chance at happiness because I now want him to myself. During the summer he expressed he wants to be with me and wanted me to give him a chance. But I had unfinished business with an ex and I am a big believer that you cannot walk out of one relationship into another. It carries bad energy from one relationship into the other. So my ex and I were finally finished in September and by November I was ready but I guess that's around the time I began seeing the change. We still would get together have lunch, talk, and it would always feel so right. Like its exactly where I want to be. Ever since I was about 3 years old I could read people, their energies. His energy, his spirit feels like home. But I care about him enough to not want to ruin something good for him. We were supposed to have dinner tonight but I cancelled I just couldn't it hurts. My readings have all given this a time frame of 18 months or so to resolve itself. That is along time to work on a honey jar. I just worry that maybe god and the universe has a different plan for he and I and I don't want to send out any spiteful malicious energy that could possibly backfire. I don't want to cause him hurt for my own selfishness either because really I had my chance.

Ok I had to extinguish the candles as I was leaving . I did the pinch method. I relit them this AM. I have read that I need to light them for at least 15 minutes at a time for things to work. I burn it for a couple of hours.
Now do I only burn these candles on the m,w,f like the honey jar or everyday until the candle burns out?

Also how long do I continue to do this? until the friendships are restored? or longer? I am just afraid that after I stop it will revert back to how it is now.
Is there a way to keep it going the friendship ?

Do I just throw away the glass jar when the candle is done?

Hello tribaby789,

For burning the candles you can burn them every day or on Monday, Wednesday, Friday either one. Go with what works best for you. If you are not sure try one and see how it goes. I personally tend to burn every day if it is a candle that I am burning in sections.

For the length of time I would continue to do it for at least a little while after the friendships have been restored. From there it kind of depends on how things are going. I personally would get some kind of reading to see if the spell work has taken hold or if it still needs you to actively work on it.

For disposing of the glass jars, some people leave them on their altars and use them for fresh flowers and things. If you already have to many I like to recycle them. It just seems more respectful to me.

I burned a couples candle on my honey jar, which left a big tear on the side of the jar. and a clump of wax on top. I originally planned to just set the new candle on top of this but it would have made the new candle very lopsided. I decided to therefore remove the big clump instead and keep the side tears but when I went to remove the big piece all of the wax on the honey jar fell off. Reading throughout the forum I've heard it's okay and some say it's not okay to remove the wax on the jar. Can anyone provide insight as to whether the jar is still good. I plan to either bury the wax remains outside my apartment or dispose of them at a crossroads or in a camel. Whichever is most convenient tonight.

I think your jar is just fine. Sometimes wax buildup does make it difficult to set a new candle on top of it, so what you did is perfectly acceptable. If you can bury the wax remains on your property, it will continue to work for you. Good luck!

So I have a small update. It's the end of my second week working my honey jar. All candles have burned clean and even with nothing left. No dripping when the candle burns either. They've all burned evenly and down to nothing. Today the guy my jar is for texted me with a "hey." I didn't see the text until about a half hour later and I did answer with just a "hi how are you?" reply. However, he hasn't texted back at all. Nothing. But I"m happy he did reach out. Maybe he's just testing the waters to see if I would answer, I don't know. Maybe the jar is starting to take effect and it's the beginning of restoring communication. But that's my little update and I am keeping the faith that this is the beginning to something.

Hi everyone if I could get some advice please.my honey jar froze should I still work it? I was planning on making two more or could I make it into one?for influence and return to me for the person to contact me. Also I notice my candles never drip wax,I read here it's suppose to be like that and a good sign,but I thought wax was suppose to drip all over the honey jar for it to be covered in wax,can someone please clarifiy that for me,thanks.can I put herbs in the honey as well besides in the namepaper,I don't have a hair I know it is less effective that way,but can I put my picture along with his in it? What's preventing contact is he is seeing someone at moment so I am doing a break up jar until I get my LM order,can I do these together? And should the honey jar be everyday for a while,and only do the break up jar when the moon is decreasing. Or can they both be done everyday,thanks everyone

Hey msMoonBeam,

When we are working our Honey Jars and we have not been at all professionally trained like the moderators, we tend to get discouraged easy. If anything.. I have learned these things...

1. Set it and forget it - Perform your spell or.. whatever you wish to call it and let it work. Rarely do we see instant results.
2. HoneyJars are a slow burn - As far as I have read from many many moderators, Honey jars are very effective and very potent. They are like an old Buick. They are strong, but they need a little time to get up to speed.
3. Hidden Obstacles - Many times things are not working in our favor due to unseen obstacles. It could simply be that the fellow dropped his phone in the toilet and has to wait until the next paycheck to call you back. Readings are usually the next step for me on that.
4. Sometimes it is just not in the cards. Personally, I feel like one needs to exhaust all resources before this is the case.

As for my personal workings... I do mine by Moonphase and or Planetary Hour. My first day is the most important. I have to get my spell right. Half the time I really don't know if I did it right, but they seem to work out in the end anyway. In Hoodoo, you don't necessarily HAVE to abide by phases and all that. You do it when the time is right for YOU. But.. say I am doing my HoneyJar. Then I will do it in the moon phase that will bring my person to me. I will work my candles the first week and anything after that is usually up to the powers that be, unless it really catches me on an odd day that perhaps I should burn a candle. But the Moonphases helps me because I do it that one time of the month or cycle. That way I have many many days in between for it to do its work and I am out of it's business for the time being.

You are not alone in wanting instant results. ALOT of folks on here are looking for that. Hoodoo is like a good stew. Add a little of this and a little of that.. and when the time is right, the meat is tender and all is ready for you. So, don't be discouraged by your workings. You will truly know soon enough how your spell is going. And if I am wrong on any of these accounts, LM feel free to add to whatever I suggest. I am no expert.

I have a large packet from LM to receive next week (so so excited!). I will start on a few love spells, among them a new honey jar with proper LM products. I intend to include cinnamon powder, ginger and a pinch of LM's mixture of love herbs. I will also include appropriate love oils such as love me, kiss me, fire of love and sachet powders. What I'm wondering is...Will the honey in the jar go bad if I include LM's oils and sachet powders? I Think the love herb mixture is no problem since the herbs are dried but could cinnamon and ginger cause the honey in the jar to go bad? Please advice me on this

Don't put the oils in the honey! The oils are used to dress the petition paper or fix and dress a candle. Herbs and roots can go into the honey if you wish.

Darn, I only ordered your book, wish I knew this before so that I could order Deacon's book as well =(
I read somewhere that a small dab of oils could be put on the petition papers for honey jars. The petition papers will later be placed inside the honey jar. Is it still not ok to do so? What about sached powders, can a pinch of sachet powders be placed inside the honey jar?

Thank you Eben for your insights on working a honey jar. I did follow my instincts today and burn a candle. It just felt right to me. I can be patient and I have to say, I do tend to forget about the jar on the days I'm not using it. I've read on the forum here that it's best to do that anyway to let it work it's magic or charm. Today though I did notice a small heart on the rim of the lid and an additional shape of which either looks like a house with a door or an elephant. I know, weird to see both things. But I was wondering, does anyone on the forum do wax interpretations. I know we can't post pics but can someone direct me to a resource where I can try to find out what the shapes mean. I obviously know what the heart means but I'm unsure about the other. I would love to have someone look at the shapes but I'm unsure where to do that.

If you get a tea leaf reading book, the symbol interpretations are about the same.

I use mine frequently when I see a symbol that I just don't quite understand what it means.

Question... Hope someone knows, I just completed a cleanse on my ex, I had a honey jar prior the cleanse, do I have to do a new honey jar? Or can I keep working on the one I have already?

Today I lit a candle on my honey jar. I had left the room and my roommate, only seeing a candle left lit unattended, blew the candle out. There wasn't much left of the candle to burn, maybe another five minutes left of the candle and the wick. When I discovered this I relit the candle to finish burning it. However, some of the wax dripped down onto the rim, where previously a heart shape and a house shape had formed. When the wax dripped it dripped over the shapes and erased them. Is this a bad sign? Is it bad that the candle was blown out before it was finished? I'm so upset that this happened! But I'm more so upset that the candle dripped down and erased the house and heart shapes. Prior to this all of my candles had burned clean down to nothing, including the wicks. The shapes had formed last Friday on the rim of the jar. Can someone please advise? Is this a bad sign?

Should I redo the honey jar completely? Dispose of the contents and start over? I'm very worried that this is something terrible! My roommate is completely unaware of what a honey jar is. Her only concern was an unattended lit candle. I was very upset when I discovered she blew it out but I didn't tell her why I was upset or what the purpose of the candle was for. Can I correct this in any way?

Ok so I must dispose of the first jar completely? Can I reuses the petition paper and pictures I have placed inside or do I need to use new ones? Can I reuse the same jar or does it have to be a whole new one? I'm pretty upset this happened.

Miss Aida,
I was doing a honey jar for a friend and noticed after two days she got movement. However, the sugar was beginning to crystallize so I remove the lid and microwaved it under 30 seconds and it DE crystallized it. I noticed a heart shape on the lid in the wax and it was pink. But when the candles are burned there is no wax left behind since heating it up. I wanted to know of others ways to heat the jar without removing the lid and is it safe to do it this way? Any response is good...
