Hi j82, thanks for the answer. I hope this message finds you well.
Again, I am sorry for posting this here but I didn't have anywhere else to turn to. As a student with college fees (which is why I petitioned St Expedite for the first time, actually), I don't have money for readings and the such, which is why I couldn't purchase one and have to do my works myself. I do realize that candle reading is a very fine art and that not much can be said about the way my candle burned without seeing it and the such, I am just looking for some insight because this never happened to me before. Again, I'm very sorry for any inconveniences.

I petitioned St Expedite not because I wanted fast results or because I am impatient, quite the contrary. I petitioned him because I feel very comfortable and close with him, like he is a father figure to me, and I know that he grants my desires when he feels like it is not a dangerous or harmful thing for me or for the parties involved. I am petitioning Saint Martha and also have a veeeeeeeeeeery close relationship with her. Before petitioning St Expedite, I asked for her permission and to send me a sign if she felt like this was a bad idea, which she didn't send.
I did research about petitioning St Expedite for love issues before petitioning him for this specific situation, talked to him and to Saint Martha about my situation extensively (I believe in connecting with the Saints and having a respectful relationship with them before asking for things) and thought a lot about my situation. It was a thoroughly planned effort. Since my situation with my target was in need of a boost to get things going where I need them to go, petitioning for obsession was the clear cut way of reaching my goal. Again, I ran this through my mother, Saint Martha.

I'm going to get Cat's book for my birthday, it sounds like an amazing read! Thanks for the tip.

The fast burn and the split wick enveloped in a single flame were actually quite clear signs to me, but for the bouncing flame I usually interpret it as the Saint being present with me along with the interpretation of the target being deeply affected. There were no knots on the wick, thankfully, and no tear shaped wax signs at all while the candle was burning.
The puddle of wax is actually quite neat! It is smooth for the most part of it and has a lot of penis shaped signs all over it, and one which looks an awful lot like female genitalia. I looked thoroughly for any negative signs or signs warning me about dangers, but there were none.

I still would not use a fast acting saint on love work any more then I would fast luck on love work. strong and steady wins the race. If you feel confident with the work then why the worry? Why the scare? I understand being a poor college kid I been there done that. LM does have the broadcast which is every week and if you register you can get a free reading and advice. this is an easy way to talk about the issue and get great advice from experts in the field. If you want a man with a women then you need to break up the women so you can have the man, otherwise you will always just be a side chick.

Strong and steady does win the race, you're right. I've been working for this situation for some time now and don't expect fast solutions, the St Expedite petition is just to give things a small but powerful boost towards a specific direction.
I got scared because I never saw a candle burn so fast and so wildly before, I got a tad scared/overwhelmed by it. But I'm much calmer now and know that everything is going fine. Thank you so so so so so so so much for your patience and help!

And the radio show tip is great, I didn't know about that! I'll definitely sign up!

Hi all, just a quick question please that I haven't been able to answer by scouring the candle divination page, or by hunting through the forum pages using the search terms I can think of.

With a freestanding candle, if a small chunk of unmelted wax falls off it towards the caster (by which I mean not running or dripping, but a little arc out away from the candle itself and then down), and then subsequently melts while sitting near the base of the candle, how is that regarded?
Is it interpreted in the same way as a drip would be, like tears, or is it something different?

It didn't seem to form any particular image. When unmelted it was just a curved piece (it's from a 4" altar candle, so if you imagine looking directly down on the top of that, and then taking a chunk about 1/3 of the circle you see from that viewpoint).

Then when it melted it just formed a thin pool which eventually spread out to settle between two of the "arms" of the star shaped holder (which is the one you see here http://www.luckymojo.com/mojocattools.html#holders) and the shape it's in is a rough semi-circle, with the curved bit touching the holder, and the straight edge facing away from the holder, but parallel to the star arm. I don't know if that helps at all.

I've just never seen wax leap out that way, only ever dribble down. I wondered if it was significant that it jumped towards me.

Hello everyone... It's 2am where I'm at... But something really weird happen, and I can't find anywhere in the forum about a candle that goes out half way and re-lits itself... The candle actually was making so much hissing that when I was falling asleep it woke me up.
Anyways then I was starring at it, half way through it went out!!
Then I started looking thru the forum, (stepped away) before I know it, I hear a hissing pop again, and it was lit again. It was loud so it got me scared, I let it do its job and then just went ahead and extinguished it.

What if the candle wasn't made correctly? CoZ all my other candles have been doing really good, with great burns! Plus good signs... I've never had this happened, it's weird but hope it's not a bad sign.

Oh and it's a black "couple" breakup candle....

Can you draw clues from burn marks left by a candle as part of ceromancy? I had a tea light that somehow burned through it's plastic container and burned a heart shaped hole in one of the papers I had set it on for my vigil.

So I've been working my honey jar about a month to a month and a half now. Everytime I've lit the candle the flame has been very still and not moving at all. Today for the very first time the flame has been bouncing around. Is this a good or bad sign? I had to use a different candle, a jar candle. I had ordered more of the red taper candles sold here on LM but they have yet to arrive so I've been using a hot cinnamon jar candle until the new ones arrive. I inscribe his name on the top and annoit it with the appropriate oils. I let it burn until the top is liquid, about 2-3 hours. I recently had a reading with my advisor who feels that the guy I've made the jar for is thinking of me a lot and wants to reconnect with me. She feels he will contact anytime now. So is the flame jumping a good thing or bad thing? Does it mean movement on his part?

Hello everyone,

Day 2 of my petition to St. Expedite for court, money, and home. Was crying because of situation and simply poured my heart out. I was a victim of dark witchcraft, something a healer called the evil eye and somethi g that makes people hate you. Took spiritual cleansing and began to ask Jesus to show me what was happening to me and to show me how to help others in undeserved negative situations afflicted them by jealous people, known and unknown. I was led to St. Expedite and St. Brigit and St. Jude, among others... Here's whats going on...

St. Expedite candle wick began to literally form a flaming rose and flickers and dances wildly. Lit St. Jude candle and it literally did the same thing, only it didnt dance and flicker as wildly. Lit money prosperity candle to see if it was a coincidence, the money candle wick formed a flaming tulip.
I feel like St. Expedite is really showing me something the way his candle is behaving. It even popped when I stood over it to see how the flaming rose fell from the wick into the wax.

I lit some other candles to see if I was making something out of nothing... they are burn like normal candles on either side of the altar, St. E, St. J, and the properity candle are dancing and performing. What do tbe flaming rose and tulip mean? The dancing flame? Wick burns blue then turns normal flame colors...

Insight anyone?

LAH, I've read that a lot of blue in the center of the flame means angels are present, or are working for you. I've never heard of flames forming flower shapes, but I would read up on those saints if I were you. Those flowers might have specific symbolism with them.

I bought a candle to clear some negative thinking. I don't know any spells, just sort of tried to come up with one.

I washed the candle with some salt water and thought it was dry. I lit it while saying to remove the negative thoughts. The candle sparked and went out before the flame got to the actual candle.

This freaked me out. I re lit it and read online all this stuff that sort of made it all worse. I think the wick was wet and thats why it went out but now I am bit worried.

Does anyone know what it may mean to have the flame crack and go out before it hit the actual candle or does it mean nothing? Thanks

Thank you for your response. The St. Expedite candle is nearly burned down and its only been 4 days. There was some popping and crackling from the candle last night and this morning the top of the glass only had turned black, the bottom still pretty clean. The blackened roses had fallen in wax. Candle burning calm low and steady like its preparing to go out.

i cant find anything on the saints other then when Saint Anima Sola survived the fire without getting burned...

Does it mean anything if a flame is very still? I've seen interpretations for a flame that bounces around, but never for one that just remains one size, with almost no flickering.

A candle I'm burning grows a little and sometimes dances/dips some when I pray, but when I walk away it remains still.

Hi. I have two candles going right now. Unfortunately they're cheap white vigil candles. I got them in a three pack for four dollars. Obviously very cheap and cheaply made. But i have no money and had no choice.
Both candles are to saints.
One to St Anthony and one to St Martha. I started St. Anthony's tonight. And last night I did St Martha's. Her candle was calm and normal at first. I prayed for a sign that she would help me by making it dance. It eventually started to but not right after i asked her to so i don't think it was a sign but who knows.. the flame has been dancing away ever since last night and hasnt stopped. It started to dance more to the right but now it dances mainly on the left side. What does this mean? Is she not gonna help me?
St Anthonys candle started off calm too and now is dancing but in a little bit of a different way than St Marthas. It dances while staying in the middle, without going to either side.. it does this half the time and then goes to the left the other half of the time. What does this mean?
I am just hoping they (the Saints) help and that the dancing means they will even if its to the left side. i read somewhere online that to the left means no.

And i didn't think there was a draft but there is somewhat of one even though my window is closed. Its a very old apartment building so even though the window is completely shut... its still not really because if you put your hand to the bottom of it, you can feel a little cold draft. So i just moved the candles into the bathroom and still, they are dancing the same.

In particular with what you are describing it is difficult to really know what the dancing flame means. In general flames that dance around a lot tend to mean that they are working on your behalf or that spirits are present. I would recommend letting the candles burn and looking for other signs of movement in what you are asking for outside of what the candle flame is doing. You can also hire one of the AIRR readers to do a quick divination on your question as well.

I have a question about disposing of vigil candle remains. I must have about 12 to get rid of...literally. I read on the LM site all about laying tricks and disposing of remains in various ways (i.e. crossroads, water, hollow trees, cemetery burial, rail road tracks, etc.) and I have been disposing of my "revenge" or break up work - vigil candles, incense ashes and wax remains from free standing candles - in those fashions...however, I don't know what to do with all my "love" work vigil candles. I can't possibly bury them all throughout my yard or under my front door step.

I also read that it's okay to clean out the herb residue from the candles, peel off the LM paper label (for privacy purposes) and dispose of them in my recycle bin. Is that true? Is that okay to do that? And not just for "love" work but for ALL vigil candles like my break up work I'm doing too because I am losing my mind trying to "hide" them all over town late at night so no one sees!

If I do throw them away in the recycle bin...should I at least collect the "washed out" herb remains and dispose of them using the various techniques (wrapped in aluminum foil, then wrapped in a black cloth and tied with a black string throw at crossroads or blah blah blah)? And if so...do I use red or a white cloth for my love work herb/wax remains or just black for all?

I would never dispose of items that can hurt nature or animals IE glass jars. I would clean them and recycle them which is the responsible thing to do. When we talk about disposing we mean the left over wax, herbs, incense ash, etc.. the container should be cleaned and recycled. To dispose of love work you would take the items not the glass and bury it in the back yard to keep someone or front yard to draw them in. Please stop tossing glass jars around town and just wipe them clean and dispose of the material that way. For negative work a cross road, or a cemetery, or under a spot the people it suppose to negatively effect will walk.

Hi there,

I have been burning 7 day vigil candles for my ex-boyfriend. I place a picture on the bottom with a petition, carve his name on the wax and also place line around the glass such us think of me, miss me, etc.. The first vigil candle was a white one, the flame was medium and moving a lot at all time, it burned all the way to the bottom in less than 7 days leaving hardly any wax and the glass was clear. The second vigil candle was red, it burned the same way as the white candle. Less than 7 days, flame oscillating, and hardly any wax left and glass clean. The third candle was a pink candle, this one also burned all the way to the bottom of the glass, flame was oscillating at first a lot and than some times during the day it would oscillate a little less. This morning before I left to work, I checked on the candle and it was almost done, the light was very low and small but still oscillating a little. So, thinking that it would be complete after I got from work I lighted a red candle and this one I dressed it with come to me oil to keep my petition going. When I got back from work, I checked the candle and it was still on with a very low flame. I felt glad and smile because the last petition line was "I want you to think of me at all times", so I went back to the leaving room, 5 minutes later I heard a crack so I went back to my room where my altar is and saw that the glass broke. It was like if the candle was waiting for me to get home to break.

My question is:
1.- Is there a bad meaning because the glass broke. I had the vigil candle inside another glass container and I am thinking maybe it got to hot on the bottom of the glass and caused it to break. The candle was completely consumed with no wax residue, and the glass was clear with no residue too. So maybe that cause to overheat at the bottom?

2.- What is the meaning if a vigil candle burns clean all the way but at the end the glass breaks? could it be the heat of the other glass container?

3.- I did a break up spell kit from the lucky mojo and yesterday was the first day of the spell (I did a cleanse before I started the work with incense and after I took a bath with hyssop herbs) I also did a freezer jar to her with white vinegar. Do you think that the break up spell interfered my pink candle in a negative way? I made the spell on the living room away from my altar.

4.- What should I do next? Any suggestion and answers will be appreciate it.

Broken candle glass is rarely a good sign unless your are cursing someone.

I had the vigil candle inside another glass container and I am thinking maybe it got to hot on the bottom of the glass and caused it to break.

I've burned candles on glass and porcelain plates before; they don't usually break, but it's not impossible. In other words, I don't think you were careless in your work.

2.- What is the meaning if a vigil candle burns clean all the way but at the end the glass breaks? could it be the heat of the other glass container?

I would say that was resistance, dramatically shown in the last few minutes of the work.

3.- ... Do you think that the break up spell interfered my pink candle in a negative way?

It's hard to say without knowing more about your situation. Best to ask this question during a reading.

Thank you Mis Michaele! your answers were very helpful. I actually had a good feeling when it broke. The situation I have is that I was dating with my ex for a year and half, thinking on moving in together last year but because of my daughter's school we decided to wait until June 2015. We had a great relationship, very harmonic, happy and peaceful but he is very hypersensitive and has issues from his past marriage that gave him insecurities. We had the most ridiculous argument late November that elevated to a break up the first week of December. I have not seen him since but I have reach via email and text out 3-4 times. His pride is bigger than anything. I also had the feeling that he got back with an ex-girlfriend from the past and I was right. I know he is not in love with her because last wednesday I texted him for the last time and asked him if he still thinks of me the way I still do and he said yes, but that made him angry and sad every time he thought at the moments we should've been happy and instead we argued. The connection we both had was very deep, we connected soul to soul. His ex-girlfriend took advantage of our break up now they are dating. She lives in a different state that he does. I want her to stay away so I can work on him and get him back. I had a reading with Ms. Robin the other day and she confirmed everything. She just said it would be slow because his pride and he actually got very hurt. I sincerely never thought he would be so angry and hurt by saying "just grab that one with the stupid santa" hello? the tone and the way i said it is was make him really upset. Anyway, thank you so much for your help. I will keep doing vigil candle and the honey jar. Later in 2 weeks or more I will start a reconciliation kit from lucky mojo, I will keep working on the break up spell and I will repeat it in a different way as well in a week or two. Make sure they separate for good.

I had two glass candle holders break two nights in a row; one each night. It was not a good sign to the work, and there was resistance in the works literally as I performed the ritual, as I would learn just a day later. I think breaking glass can be considered a break through at times, but in terms of love and protection spells, It has proven to be resistance in my experience.

Hi,
This isn't about divination, but just burning and leftover issues. Whenever I burn figural candles (male and female and skull) they always burn quickly down the middle and leave an awful lot of leftover wax on the plate. It seems like almost half the candle gets left over. Is it supposed to be that way? I feel like it didn't burn properly, but it has happened every single time I've used these candles for several different purposes and in different locations in my house.

Also, are the petition paper, photo and herbs under the candle supposed to be burned up at the end? Because these also tend to not get burned when I use these candles. The last time I ended up leaving a huge mass of wax, along with a photo at the crossroads, which just didn't seem right to me. Is that how it is supposed to work?

I lit a candle last night to a Saint (not for a petition, it was to apologize for accidentally being late on my novena prayer).
Anyway, the candle was just a votive candle placed in a glass heart shaped votive candle holder. This morning, it had burned down leaving no wax at the bottom whatsoever, however after i saw this, it still continued to burn and burn for an hour longer. No wax at the bottom whatsoever, just about 3/4'' left of the wick. I thought that was super weird, and took it as a huge sign that my Saint accepted my apology and i thought it was cute. lol

I am very new to this kind of stuff as i have only lit about 8 candles since i started my own rootwork stuff in the last two weeks. None of the candles i have used had done this kind of thing, even candles that were to certain Saints. I mean, i guess it could be because i didnt trim the wick before lighting the candle as it was a little over an inch long ( i couldn't find my scissors to trim it), but idk, i still feel like it was a sign.

What i want to know is....
In any of your guys' experiences, has this been a common occurrence for you with the candle/wick doing this?
Sorry if this is dumb to ask, I was just curious as this is the first candle to have done this to me.

New here, not sure if I am posting in the correct place. I recently lit a St. Michael candle for protection and when I lit the flame a sparkly bright turquoise flame appeared at the top of the wick (bottom of the flame split and remained orange) as I read the prayer written on candle. I really meant the prayer at the time and felt really connected to my prayer, but I am by no means a professional, I've just begun learning about rootwork. I was shocked to have such a reaction. It's scared me so much that I let go of the candle.

When I got up the courage to do it again, really feeling my prayer again, I finished the prayer and again in crackled loudly and let out white smoke. The crackling lasted only a few seconds. I let it burn a few minutes and looked at the wick again. After a few minutes, the wick had a tiny silver blue ball on the wick. I finished my prayer and let it burn for about an hour. When I looked again I could of sworn I saw a white cross on the wick. Check it much later and now it's just a very straight white wick with a normal yellow flame. There is white smoke at the top of the glass, but the glass is otherwise clear. Mind you this is just a candle from the 99cent store. I buy them all time but this is the first time this has happened. Should I be worried? Is a blue flame good or bad? Ive thought that I was crossed and have just finished the uncrossing baths so I'm just hoping this is a good sign.

What's most startling is that the blue was not a flame-blue colored, it was more like tropical water,turquoise-y clear blue. Never seen a color that beautiful in fire.

Hope this was just a fluke.

I'm interested to hear anyone's opinions on the turquoise blue flame.

I understand you cant tell me what a wax sign means in regards to me...

But generally speaking, can you please tell me what the meanings for a 'vagina' showing up in candle wax are?

My candle is still burning so i am sure this sign will be covered up by more wax and wont be visible anymore when the candle is done burning. I just cant find anything on the web about what the meanings are for sex organs showing up in wax.

The weird thing is is that this candle is for my St. Martha petition regarding my ex. In my petition i asked her to bring us back together, to make sure he doesn't pursue other women in any way, and that he only has eyes for me, and wants me in all ways possible, and misses me so much it hurts.
So anyway... im a worrier. Seeing that sign just makes me worry she is telling me that he is going to see someone else or wants to see someone else. My mind ALWAYS jumps to this stuff first, HOWEVER i have always been wrong in thinking this kind of stuff in regards to my ex. It has been proven to me over and over again that whenever i think this stuff about my ex that i am always wrong. Always. Lol.

hopefully i am wrong this time. It just scares me cause i really don't want him to think about seeing others and to actually see anyone else.
Plus, I guess to me, it would be weird for that to be the reason (for the meaning of the sign) since i feel St. Martha would stop him from seeing others or wanting to see others. Idk.

Anyway hopefully this just means we will have sex or something or that he has it on his mind. Idk.

or maybe i need to use my sexuality to get him. Sorry.. just thinking of ideas of what it could possibly mean.
