hello everybody ; i read a lot here about helper candles for honey jars; if there are 4 jars or more for different family members, for different lets say white magick, is it ok to put them all on 1 altar even if burning candles on them at different days? friday for love, tuesday for court case and thursday for prosperity etc. not sure yet about days of the week on anything else but sure for love is friday; and all 4 surround with LM satchels/herbs that represent protection, blessing, cleansing......i tried to search for answers on forum but there are no posts about putting a few jars on same altar; thank you a lot;

Slava, that is definitely ok. The only time you need separate alters is if you're doing majorly different kinds of work. You wouldn't want to be burning black candles or working vinegar jars next to honey jars, for instance. I have two honey jars on my alter right now and I like to pray over them both at the same time.

Well honey sure are a slow steady type of working! I had a really bad patch with the ex & I did do some bad work on him, but with restraint & something told me to keep the honey jar I put us in; him, the kids, & me. I haven't worked it in ages, but I'm going to start back on it with a white candle, some Healing & Reconciliation oils. I'm also thinking about doing a cleansing on him to take off the bad work, but us getting along is new & I want to make sure it's not a trick.

Hi there,
I have been working a honey jar/ picture box (its a honey jar with my pictures covering the inside and my mans picture dangling from a string from the lid) for a while on a man with whom I had a long distance friendship. It has since become a romantic relationship and so I can say my work has been successful. Now, I have an issue. I am going to be moving to his country shortly, to live there with him. What do I do with my honey jar/picture box spell now? I can't bring it with me as it will not be allowed through customs in the airport. I will not be returning to my home country to live, and I don't have a house here. I'm just renting. If I bury it I will have to leave it behind me when I leave this country to be with him. I can't bring it with me . What should I do with it to keep its influence?

Hi Rainbow-Topaz,

I suggest pouring the contents into a Ziploc bag, double bag it, and put in your suitcase. This can be put into the suitcase. Then once you have moved, you can reassemble the jar.

Thanks for the reply. I've considered doing this but only some of the contents will be allowed through--the herbs might not. Also, he will be standing beside me in the airport and if the bag is examined he will see the spell--I think he will be turned off by that---no I am sure he will think I'm desperate then: I mean how do I explain brown paper with his name and "____will be obsessed with me, desire me wildly". etc on it, tiny, naked pictures of me, bits of his hair, my nenstrual blood, confetti, herbs, etc----I would die of embarrassment and he will totally back off, thinking I'm obsessed.

The jars need to be given energy. I like to give them a good shake each time. That puts energy in. Prayers and psalms do as well. The candles do. The jar achieves the status of a living spirit being and becomes stronger and stronger.

My bf called me up today and asked when we can get married. But the major problem now is, we are from different denominations. He's a Baptist and I'm a Catholic. He once told my mum about his intention but my mom insisted the wedding ceremony must be done in Catholic church.

Deep in my heart, i want my wedding to be solemnized in Catholic church as well. I love my faith.

The question is, is there anything i can do to make him, agreed that this wedding should be done in my church? I'm worried at the end of the day, it wont happened.

Very true! The honey had also crystallized over the winter & I notice that it's becoming liquid again, coinciding with it working again. The white candle was a good choice, things are sweet between all members of my family.

This one can be a tough one! All of my church exposure growing up came from the Baptist tradition & my (soon to be) exhusband's family is practicing Catholic. I'm a very flexible person so I agreed to raise my children Catholic. However, I was not deep rooted in the Baptist church. I will tell you that Baptist preachers love to denigrate the Catholic church from their pulpits, they will constantly refer to Catholics as idolaters, & etc.. His family may have a problem with a Catholic ceremony. I would put them all in an Influence honey jar.

Hi everyone!

I've read through this board and found that it is best to continue using any old honey jars on top of making a new one so I'll probably order one from LM. I haven't used my honey jar for 6 months and was lighting it every night for the first couple of weeks then moved to 3x a week until 6 months ago. I was working it for almost 2 months straight. I then stopped and forgot about it. My ex and I did re-connect but it was short lived so I want to start it back up with some kits that I ordered from LM. It's a really small honey jar where the honey has crystalized the lid shut. I also only used tea light candles on top of it which takes about 2-3 hours to burn.

Does anyone know how to get the bottle hot enough to get the honey softened again or do I just start lighting tea light candles on it again? What about the use of tea light candles versus 4' candles? I can see through the bottle that the honey is hardened.

I've had a reading with Miss Aida and she suggested I get the Compelling kit and White skull with Influence Oil. I also ordered Deer's Tongue and Catnip to go with the skull. The Follow Me Boy was also ordered so I don't need to wait for it when I am ready to use it.

Last question for one of the practitioner; I also have a doll that I work on 2-3x a week. Been working on it for a few weeks now. I've read some responses that a doll worked together with additional work (mine: Skull w/Influence, Compelling kit) could be too much on a target.

I did a honey jar spell awhile ago and recently he told me he's not ready for a relationship so I gave up and blocked him. This week I've been dreaming of this person, randomly hearing his name in movies or on TV, and even had a weird notification pop up on social media are these signs of the spell working or am I just hoping?

Can't you mail it to yourself? I've mailed lots of jar spells to others outside of the country.

If you don't want to do that, then I suggest deployment of the jar immediately before leaving (not even days or weeks before) and immediately start a new one as soon as you enter the country.

I personally would mail the bottle and not the plastic bag.

Plastic bags can get damaged. Or can get easily opened if it goes through Customs.

If the jar has been tampered with, you'll know. But with the bag, it could just mess up everything if they open it.

Can someone help me with this?
I've been burning my honey jar and have been getting readings from my rootworker to see how things are going with my work. She recently burned a male and female candle and the wax results were all hearts. The day before she gave me a reading, I saw my target driving down my street something he never did before unless he was dropping me off from a date.
My rootworker gave me a reading and gave me the green light to contact him first & told me what to write to him. Well... I did it and he never replied back.
I found it weird because that same night, I had a dream that he had replied to my message.
I still see signs of his name or vehicles that look like his.

I apologize in advance if this was in the wrong place...could not seem to find the exact place to post with what I needed help in so I will do it here! So I was doing my honey jar tonight (for love in case that info is needed), just finished burning it. I kind of had to intervene in extinguishing tonight because when I was burning my candle there were a lot of old wicks that kind of piled up from previous burns...and yeah I did not want to risk a fire hazard that almost happened so I used a snuffer to lightly touch the flame so it would go out. The candle had burned all the way down its just that it got into all of those old wicks and the flame really got intense!

I just wanted to make sure this wasn't a bad sign or just a sign that I'm an idiot and need to clean all those old wicks out in the future, thanks!

Hi Everyone!

So I made my honey jar for love yesterday and it was quite an afternoon. I've been waiting to do this jar for about 2 weeks now and in that time I was so excited, however yesterday I was extremely nervous, because before this I've only done a freezer spell. I really love this man so I refused to chicken out!

When I first lit my candle I noticed that it burned really fast; within 10 minutes about 1/4 of the candle was gone. This posed a slight problem because it is a 2 hour candle!! However it soon began to slow down at a much better pace, which made me feel relieved, because I read somewhere on the forum that if your candle burns down extremely fast it means it'll be a quick relationship, but please correct me if I'm wrong. Next thing I noticed was my fire looked like it was "fighting" to continue to burn. It looked as if someone was trying to blow it out, which definitely freaked me out because in my mind, if my candle light burned out before it had burned completely down it was a bad omen, but again please correct me if I'm wrong. Even though it was "fighting" it burned all the way down, which made me feel tons better. I interpreted the whole "fighting" issue as our relationship will have ups and downs but we will remain together. Any thoughts?

While my candle was burning I was visualizing us being together happy and enjoying life, which is a bit foreign to me because when I do day dream about him I usually get distracted and go off on a tangent, but yesterday my thoughts were so much more focused. It's like I was mesmerized by the candle and began thinking of scenarios that I have never thought about before. It really made me feel at peace. Also while it was burning I began to massage the side of the jar the same way I massage his hair when we're together lol!

When the candle was done I felt AMAZING because one this is my first spell that involves candles (I have a bit of a fear of candles in general because I feel like they are so dangerous. You will never catch me light a candle in my home, and if my mom lights one I quickly go behind her and blow it out!). But I felt amazing, because I felt so focused on our relationship and just so proud of myself for starting my hoodoo journey even though it took me a bit out of my comfort zone, but I feel like this is something I really wanted to do so I had to put my inhibitions aside. I'm also going to make a love vision board with us together and the different things I want for us and rub some attraction oil on it. The only thing I can say is that after my jar burned and everything I felt physically exhausted. Thoughts?

Now this is when things got a bit weird: So after I had that good session with my jar, I went to go get some food and logged onto Lucky Mojo to tell you guys about my afternoon, but out of no where I fell asleep. Yes I know I'm human and we tend to do that, but I slept for about 15 hours straight! I was a bit tired after the candle, but not that tired. There were time where I tried to wake up out of my sleep but I just couldn't break out of it. I wasn't sleep paralysis because I could move my limbs, but felt more like I was in a trance. In my sleep it felt like someone was telling me that my honey jar was all wrong and kind of mocking me about it to try to make me feel insecure. Well I woke up and finally got to reality after all those hours and I carefully thought about how I made my jar and realized I did everything the right way. What are your thoughts regarding that?

Questions: Is it okay for my petition to be floating at the very top and not further down? If so, how can I fix this? I feel like this has more to do with science than anything else.

If I ever need to stop burning my candle briefly because I had to run out or whatever the case may be, what if the proper way to stop the fire? I leaning towards pinching it out?

As far as your feelings, this is very difficult to interpret (and we don't do tis on the forum). It could have been out of fear (as you had mentioned), stress, anticipation, or anything. No way for us to tell you this on the forum.

NOW....you did say one thing that has alarmed me: we don't blow out candles. Instead, we pinch them out or snuff them out. So, I ask that you get into that habit. So, yes, you are right with your last sentence: pinch it out (or snuff it out).

Don't worry about your petition floating. That happens a lot.

Now, please try to be calmer when performing your spells. Then, in no time, you'll be giving us advice!

Hello everyone, so Here's my story. In Feb of this year I met a guy online, we talked for a week prior to meeting in person. We dated from Feb 10th until March 11th. The reason for the break up was that he became distant theres a reason for that too. He left his hometown, his family to start a new and successful life in San Diego. He was here for a few month. He never found a job he had no car basically he had nothing to offer me So he would get stressed out. Throughout the break up we still talked and up until April 1st he still told me he adored me. We realized that we were never going to work out unless he found a job. Anyway I love him so much that on April 7th I started a love Honey jar. I pray on M W and Friday, the candle has a steady flame and not much wax drips and last night the candle was popping which it has never happened before. I see his name every where and dream with him so often. Last night I dreamt we were sexually together and he looked so in love and happy with me. Well to my surprise we messaged each other today Saturday May 9th. But here's where I'm confused and I hope you can help me. He told me that he moved to his hometown and is kind of seeing someone else. He also said that he'd still love to see me and that he was sorry things didn't work out. Then he said "I still remember the first day we met it was fun. So we kept talking and then he asked me , so do you still want to talk? This is where I'm confused, what does this mean? Is the jar working? And now that he's kind of seeing someone do I Need to do a break up spell? Please help me I'm desperate thank you.

My apologizes for all of those tricky questions. Thank you for the link that your provided it was extremely helpful! Since then my nerves have been so much better and I am more comfortable with my jar and burning candles.

Today is day 3 of burning candles and while casually reading the forum a friend texts me out of the blue and then in her text she randomly said my guys name as an abbreviation for something else. It literally took me by surprise and I had to reread the text like wait did you just say his name? All in all it was a good little surprise lol.

I have been working a honey jar for about a year for bringing favor from the bosses for an upcoming promotion. I worked a blockbuster this past full moon. It had a beautiful flame and burnt a bit on the fast side due to the herbs rolled in the wax. Anyway, when I worked the honey jar the next day, all that accumulated wax went up in flames. No damage just a high flame that cleared all the wax accumulation. In my mind the blockbuster cleared everything. My question is should I continue to work the honey jar? I feel like everything has been handled, but reading the forum and LM web pages, I'm wondering if I am reading it wrong. Keep working the honey jar? Start a new one? Or just let the Universe handle it?

2-how do I tie our hairs together as my hair is long and I only have little tiny pieces of his hair.
3-do I put his picture in the petition paper or can I place it under the jar while the dressed candle is burning?
4-Is it better to place only a picture of my boyfriend or a picture of us together?
5-do I place the hebrs in the petition paper or in the honey?
6-my intention for the jar is to draw my boyfriend's long lasting love, care, attention, affection and loyalty to me, therefore do I use a red candle or pink candle for my purpose.
7-can I start my honey jar even before receiving my oils for the candles?

I know I have too many questions but I hope and really appreciate that you can find the time and patience to clarify things for me.

thanks misskitty49 for a great advice; sure those will be diferent kind of work for different altars; i am actually afraid to work on negative spells yet; looks like doing negative work takes much more knowledge/practice than positive and i am sure its better to be done outside the place you live or maybe i'm mistaken;

It looks to me like the jar is starting to work. These spells take time and don't manifest miraculously like in the movies!

You need to have patience because you are getting movement.

1-Is there a specific day and time of the day when I should start the jar and How can I tell or be sure if it is a waxing/waning moon?-The time is up to you. And you will have to google the phases of the moon. Right now, we are in a waning moon until May 18 when we go into a waxing moon HOWEVER Mercury will be in Retrograde on that same day for about 3 weeks,

2-how do I tie our hairs together as my hair is long and I only have little tiny pieces of his hair. red thread

3-do I put his picture in the petition paper or can I place it under the jar while the dressed candle is burning?-put his picture under the candle and one in the jar

4-Is it better to place only a picture of my boyfriend or a picture of us together? one of you together is better

5-do I place the herbs in the petition paper or in the honey? yes. And you can place herbs inside the honey jar to load it with herbs also

Ice,
Keep the honey jar and keep working it. You can put it on an alter when you have achieved what you want. If things start going backwards you can light it up again. Remember it works slow so if you want to move a bit quicker ass some ginger to it. Also I find that being very specific in the petition works better. like 'draw (name) to me as a lover' etc

I have a honey jar for some time but things have been going downhill. Should one work on a honey jar when the energy level is low and feelings are filled with disappointment and frustration? or just focus on shaking the vinegar jar?

singskyle, I think you should give both jars regular attention. A lot of people work by the days of the week (Mon., Wed., Fri. are good days for the sugar jar, Tues., and Sat. are good for the vinegar jar).

So last night I prayed for the honey Jar the whole time I was really focused on my petition, and the flame was big and it was going to the right side most of the time. Then it would stay steady in the middle and go towards the right side is that a good sign?

Ok here's the problem I want to do a break up spell, and I was looking for spells on Herr. But I don't know the Girl's name, her birthday nor what she looks like. So how do I do it? Thanks in advance

Quick Update:

Today I burned another candle on top of my jar and there was dancing and my candle was hissing. In her article, Miss Cat says a hissing/popping candle means that the spirits are trying to talk to you, so I stared intently to see if I noticed anything different.

Anyways, he called me today (well I knew he would because he told me he would lol) and the convo was a bit different than previous ones. We talked about many things but then he goes and tells me that I need to make time for him in all this summer fun that I've been having with my friends. Then when I told him about a few other things I had planned he tells me that my priorities should be: [his name], [his name], [his name], [his name], and everything else lol. It's weird because he never talks like this, but I like it!

Oh and as far as burning my candle goes, I stay with it the entire 2-3 hours and meditate. I play romantic songs, and I also made a vision board with our pictures and other things I would like for us and rubbed some of my oil on it. I also talk to my jar and say the things that I want from him and rub the jar the same way I rub his head. I do all this to focus on him and what I want, I usually have a hard time pay attention for too long but this really helps.

So I'm planning on making a honey jar for my new love interest. In the past I only used a picture of a previous target as a petition paper. This time I have a picture of me and the new target together and one of him alone. Is it better to use the picture of me and him together or the one of him alone? I will be using the picture as a petition paper and add herbs to it so it forms a packet for the honey jar.

So, what are some of the examples of "signs" when someone is first doing a honey jar for the first few days? I've searched the forum-and so far I've read stuff like dreaming of your target, seeing their names everywhere...also what kind of shapes the candle wax made...so these are the first signs that its going to work out?

Hi all,

Is it necessary to light more than one candle in a Honey Jar Spell? I am new to this and do not want to do this wrong. I am using the honey jar spell to sweeten the judge in a custody case. Thanks for your help.

These are signs that the honey jar is working... among others. It does not necessarily mean that 'it will work out'. But if you are getting good signs keep doing it and have faith dear.

Just my preference... but I would put it in the petition paper with the other herbs, to draw it towards you. If you have already done it, you can add ginger anytime. I prefer candied ginger or small pieces of ginger root, but that is my preference. I would add it before you eat the honey or make something with it, but like I said that is just me.

I have made two honey jars for a guy that I want to be sweet to me/contact me. The first jar I forgot to add some ingredients & I read that once the honey jar is open It would end the spell so I made a new one. The one that I did first has alot of wax residue when I burn candles on it. However, the 2nd honey jar that I made never leave any residue just the wick. I wonder why that is...
