Thanks for posting. We carry Black Soap at Lucky Mojo, by the way. It is
African Black Soap
Circular black soap; a traditional West African style. 3 oz. bar, in black tissue wrapper.

What other types of cleansing can you do? I am planning on doing a vinegar jar and was wondering what other types of cleansing and purification I can use as I do not have any hyssop? Also where can I buy hyssop?

Thank you

Since i don't know what you have done already, i cannot tell you what "other" things to do. A vinegar jar has nothing to do with cleansing, and i would recommend that you try learning more about this work bfore you try to make a vinegar jar for any reason. The most popular cleansing product we make and sell, by far, is Chinese Wash. Read about it here:
http://luckymojo.com/chinesewash.html
We also sell Hyssop, and it is three dollars per packet.
You may familiarize yourself with our entire inventory here:

Good luck,

Hi all,
Is there any way to cleanse oneself and someone else without the usual cleansing herb bath, these herbs always clog my drain-is there any other way i can do a good cleansing?
Thanks for your help-

If you use bath crystals you'll be fine their. Or just put a piece of cheese cloth over the drain to catch the herbs, also remember to save back some water to dispose of properly.

I strain my herbs and either pour over my head or add to bath water. This will prevent them from clogging your drain.

Jwmcclin's suggestion is also very good, some people do prefer to have the herbs in the bath tho.

Me too. I love the herb baths and I hate the clean up so I brew a strong pot of "tea" or I put the herbs in a cotton muslin bag and place that in the tub.

good luck,

I am waiting on my herb baths now from LM. I have been using a combination of Hyssop, rue and salt daily. After I get my herbs...I will use them appropriately. I just feel so good afterwards. Also, I read in Cat's book, Pine tar soap removes Mental Negativity which is great especially after a stressful day.

Hi all,

I saw a website connected to Lucky Mojo products which lists detailed instructions on Spiritual cleaning for a house. This is from Lara's site and it's really good. I plan to do this cleansing when i am staying home, i am due to give birth within 2 weeks so i really want to clean the apartment spiritually and get it ready before bringing baby home; i know i should have done this a while ago but i didn't-either i was not having the right energy for it being tired from work, and then on the weekend i would catch up on my sleep so I didn't get up at dawn to do any cleansing- so I am now wondering if i take the cleansing bath as prescribed and then is there some way to bless each room with incense whilst reciting a psalm until i can do the full cleaning? One more question--At dawn, my husband is sleeping and the bedroom is the last room in the apartment so I would start from there- can I still cleanse the room with him sleeping in it? Any advice would be so much appreciated!
Thank you.

I feel that it is important to follow the instructions as closely as possible, especially since there is a new little spirit coming soon. Do the best you can as close as you can follow the instructions. As far as cleansing the room with someone in it, I've never had that experience, but I feel that as long as it's not something you have to do secretly or hide from your partner, it should be ok to do so with him in the room.

Try steeping the herb mixtures in a large saucepan and adding the strained infusion to your bathwater. I'm sure that's already been recommended, but that's how I do it because, guess what, they plug my drain too!

I use a French press to brew tea and it also works well for brewing up these herbal baths. I really prefer the bath salts but sometimes you just need herbs.

I've strained the herbs through a coffee filter in a pinch. Works pretty well.

I either brew the herbs as a strong tea, or use a muslin bag. I like the muslin bag, because I can bury the herbs more easily.

You can split your cleaning up too, as long as you don't mind living in a half-cleaned house one night. I use to live in a very big apartment and it was too much to clean the whole thing in one day. I would do the back three rooms and bathroom on the first day and then do the front rooms and kitchen on the second day, worked like a, well, charm :-)

Hi All,

I am hoping someone on here knows of any healing the sick spells (not a chronic sickness). A very dear friend of mine is sick and she is away from family and friends doing volunteer work while she has been sick. I was hoping there is some spell I can perform to bring her back to good health pronto so she doesn't have to deal with being sick on this important volunteer trip of hers.

Thanks all!

Look into Healing ,Blessing and 7-11 Holy Oil. And pray to Blessed Dr. Hernandez. Unfortunately this is not a spell exchange but a company forum meant to help people chose LuckyMojo products.

And give these page a look

mmcpower,

your post is a little confusing. Do you mean what cleansing can you do in addition to a vinegar jar ('cause it's definitely not for cleansing)? Or do you mean what kind of cleansing can you do after completion of a vinegar jar? Personal, environment?

Hyssop and rue which are both available at LM. Their 13 herb bath which is phenomenal.

I was asking the latter, I was wondering if there was something else I could use for cleasing besides the hysspo or rue as I am waiting to get my order.

Thanks

Is it ok to do a spell for someone else for example, just like a good luck spell for a friend..or would u need to get their permission? I think I saw it somewhere that u shouldn't do any spells to help someone without them knowing, but I am new to this and trying to learn & would like to help out a friend. Thanks...

For me it depends on the type, but I generally don't throw to help a friend without their asking me to. Not saying you can't or shouldn't, but you should ask yourself why you want to, what it will accomplish, etc. Also, if your friend is unaware that you are working to help them, they could subconsciously fight the spell and cause it to fail. Just a little food for thought.
Best!

Dress a white candle with an appropriate oil and read Psalm 20. This is a good all-purpose blessing Psalm.

For all the spells I know we need to wait 3 months approx for manifestation.

How much time for the below two:

1. Tying and binding an enemy from crossing us -
2. Spiritual Cleaning done over a period of 9 days - Can we immediately start spell casting the next day

Like everyone, I've had a lot of ups and downs in my life. But for much of the last decade things have been practically abysmal. I've experienced loss of every kind - health, job, savings, home - and worst of all, I've seen disabling illness and even death destroy the lives of those I love.

Slowly my burden has begun to lift. Gradually I have climbed out from under debt and despair and started to rebuild. I'm lucky to be able to work from home, because chronic ailments limit my stamina. But I have just a few clients and I earn just enough to scrape by.

I'm planning to relaunch myself with a new initiative to build my client base. I've tried in the past without success but I'm feeling more positive about it these days. To that end I'm thinking of fortifying my efforts with Steady Work and Open Road, relying mostly on candles because I can't sit in a tub for bathing.

Mostly what I do now is burn white candles and ask my dear departed mother for intercession, as she has always been my most steadfast supporter. But she's a touchy thing, lol, and I sense her irritation when I do not do enough to help myself. So any suggestions regarding products or spells would be greatly appreciated.

I've also bought a purse, a used one I found at auction that suits my needs. It was cheaper than new, and otherwise it is just right for me, but I'm uncomfortable about putting my money and cards in someone else's wallet. I would be much obliged for any ideas on how I could make it my own and remove any lingering influence from the previous owner. BTW it is fabric so it can be washed...I think.

Many thanks for your help. The best to all!

I would get some holy water and put in a few drops of ammonia. You should test an unseen part of the fabric first. Then get the towel wet just a little and lightly wipe the wallet down on the outside and the inside. Then you can get some kind of bath crystals such as money stay with me or crown of success to keep your money in your wallet.

Most people feel the effects immediately. They feel like the weight has been lifted off their shoulders, or they feel just lighter. I would do it for at least 9 days you should be good after that. If you do not feel better, then repeat.

The thing I use most for "cleansing" my self is a good salt water bath.
Its not as strong as other types of "cleansing" baths but its better than nothing.
It at least will help till you get what you need!
I generally do them once a week my self to keep the psychic and any unwanted magical ick down.
Another thing you can do is smudge your self with incense.
Hope that helps

My sister was diagnosed with brain cancer some 5 years ago. Things have taken a turn for the worse.

I'm looking for any suggestions for mojo hands and/or amulets. I'm not sure if she would accept it, but I'd like to make one for her. But she may not object to an amulet.

I'm going to burn a 7 day blue vigil candle anointed with healing oil.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

You could contact an AIRR rootworker and have them make you up a Healing mojo for her, or they could read on the situation and suggest something more specific.

LM sells a triple-strength Blessing mojo that may also aid the situation.

Perhaps..if you feel comfortable to work with a saint, then you could get a light set for her. There are some saints that are specific for cancer. I would type into google...partron saint for cancer.

I purchased a bag for placing my herbs in to steep. Now, can I reuse my herbs like you would a tea bag thats been used once? And when taking the bath can I just pour it over my head and recite the psalms or do I need to be submersed entirely in the bath? I am using the 13 herb bath for 13 days.

The 13 herb bath suggests to read psalms 37 and 51 if you want, is it ok to pray from your heart?

Sea salt scrub, rinse in a COLD shower, then soak in a nice warm protective bath.

Well, hoodoo doesn't get into "auras", but if you want to cleanse your energy than take a 13-herb bath.

These books will also teach you a lot of traditional, low-cost ways to keep your house spiritually clean and protected:

if you wash your home, without doing a spiritual bath first, can you take it to the crossroads to achieve a better effect in dissipating the negative energy? Or is just dumping it towards the rising sun on the ground off your property just as effective?

Hello, all!

I was reviewing one of my books, Magic & Medicine of Plants, to see if I could find any references to Hoodoo or Rootwork. The information I did find was (mis)labelled as Voodoo and Rootwork -- no Hoodoo mentioned, but it did reference the work of Hyatt. The particular book mentions a Hyatt informant who spoke of a footwash of running brier (greenbrier, possibly?) and pokeweed root to overcome a crossing. Has anyone run across anything similar? If so, do you know of any specific workings that call for footwashing?

Running Brier is Shame Judy or Shame Brier, not Greenbrier. It is in the Pea family. It is used for a number of different things, but it is usually picked and used fresh because the "shaming" droop of the leaves is important to the work. You will find a whole page on it -- page 182 -- in my book "Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic." Pokeweed gets a shorter entry in the book, on page 156,

Foot washing is quite a common practice in conjure, especially among members of the Spiritual Church Movement. It is described in the Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course. We gave hands-on workshops on the techniques of footwashing at our annual May Church Convocation and Hoodooo Workshps in 2008 and 2009. We'll probably do so again at the annual workshops in 2010 as well, as it is an extremely popular topic and many professional root workers want a chance to practice their techniques and compare them to others.

Thanks, Ms. Cat!
My next order will surely include HHRM. One can never have too many herb/root reference books and the pages available for online reading are fascinating. I will have to look up the running brier as I have never heard of it -- it may not be indigenous to WV. I look forward to taking the course in the future.

I am eager to learn about this in the hoodoo tradition as I am assuming there are many varied types of footwashes I have never encountered or considered. I appreciate the time taken to answer this question and I can assure you I'll be back with more...so thanks in advance!

Addendum to post: found the plant, mimosa quadrivalvis ,on the USDA site -- nope, none for me here in WV! We do have some similar species, though...it would be interesting to learn if anyone has made use of them in the same way.

Thanks again, have a lovely evening.

I learned as a young teen about foot washing from my Aunt & Grand Mother. What I learned is that this is a tradition of honor & respect. When my Aunt gave a foot washing it was to help cleanse a person to help them. This is something that she always did before any conjure or healing on a person.

I have had this done to me a handful of times in my life and found it helped on many levels. To me this is an old method but a very effective and good method that many don't seem to use anymore. To bad because many will tell you it is a great thing when someone can help with a spiritual foot washing.

Firstly: take care of yourself. No amount of magic will stop you getting diabetes if all you do is sit on your ass all day eating candy and fried chicken and drinking sugary drinks. Eat right, exercise, and take care of yourself.

Secondly: a protection candle with a specific petition for good health, wearing protection oil with prayers for good health, writing out a bible verse in water-soluble ink and dissolving it in water then rubbing the water on you, making a mojo specifically for the purpose.
