Yes. The soft items and leafy herbs need to be disposed of, but the hard roots and curios can be set out, washed down with whisky, left overnight to dry, and then re-anointed and prayed over and used in a new mojo.

Why do people ask for advice, then argue with it? Almost all magickal traditions require some measure of secrecy to prevent the negative thoughts of others from interfering. Even Jesus told his followers to pray in secret. If you are doing any type of work involving a particular person, you should never let them know.

While it made me think of the quote from Fight Club that I paraphrased, I'd learned the same thing, albeit in a different tradition: the more you talk about your work, the more you risk ruining it, for whatever reason. Sort of like flashing a big wad of bills, you're just asking to be robbed. It seems any more in our society people will tell anything, and I suspect it's sort of a human necessity to have a few (non dangerous) type secrets.

Hi guys and gals,
wanted to ask 2 questions involving the status aof Mojos:

1. I take an herb with pain relieving ( and minor Sedative action) for a chronic paiun condition daily, so wherever I go I bring a little with me just in case. Well around 2 hours ago, it spilled in my pocket and got all over my Van Van Mojo. I have no idera what if any magical propertites this herb would have ( it isn't native to the states), and don't want it all over my mojo or effecting the Mojo command etc...
What would you guys recomend I do? Wash it off with a little florida water and tell it to keep working as strong as ever but that I'm simply cleansing it, either and/o Spiritually and mundanely of the her that got on it. Do you all think this is a good idea or might the florida water muss things up?

Ok, and my second ?

2. When I realized that the herbs had spilled in my pocket all over the mojo, I was exitig the train station. While moving the Mojo around in my pocket, a little bit of the red cloth was exposed for just a very short while ( 3 or 4 seconds tops). Now no ione was near me, but a kid wearing sunglasses was sitting down in front of me about 35 or 40 feet away. There is the possibility hew may haver seen that little part of the bag, or that spmepne on my side who I didn't noticed might have seen it...

What do you guys think?

I hear different things: EVERYONE says that having someone touch a Mojo kills it ( and especially if it one to control a Woman and she touches it, or a High John one etc...), but I've heard some people say that someone seeing a mojo wil lkill, it and some saying it wont matter as long as it isn't for long, and some saying it doesn't matter at all unless the person it's working on/against ( such as a commanding one) sees it.

What do you guys think? As you can tell, I get concerned about minor things like this, a little neurotic even lol. If it was seen it wasn't seen for more than 3 or 4 seconds, and if it was seen, only a small portion of the red cloth was seen with maybe a little of the string ( but not the charm etc...)

All I can say is I have a mojo that was 'killed' but with prayer, smoking it in incense, and feeding, it came back to life. Then again, I might have just been lucky, lol.

A mojo gets killed by someone touching it, but not always by just looking at it. Not that one should go around flashing his or her mojos, but another seeing one will not necessarily kill it.

As stated, my money mojo abandoned me last night at work-GONE. ( and I searched)
I have had it for months, so it is not new.
I work in a commission job, and YES, it has been extremely effective.Now, do I obtain another? Is it disrespectful to the first one just to obtain another one? (I couldn't properly dispose of the first one.)
BTW, I am always working my protection and cleansing, and most divination seems to point to "petty annoyances" (this may count)

Hello!

I made up a Crown of Success mojo according to the instructions in the kit and on the Lucky Mojo website, but I accidently put my mojo bag through the wash (my mojo bag was still in my trouser pocket).

Would this mean that my mojo bag needs to be remade? Can I use the same hard ingredients (the John the Conqueror root etc) but replace the green herbs, or do I need to start from scratch with completely new items?

the bag needs to be remade you can reuse the hard items, just wash em off in some whisky dress with oils, reorder some of the other herbs and remake it again. anything that was damaged IE soft herbs and maybe even the bag id replace.

Hi,

Am I correct in assuming that a mojo is undamaged if someone touches it through ones clothes, e.g., if one were wearing a mojo around one's neck, and someone touched the bulge at one's chest?

If this is the case, would the mojo remain undamaged and functional if it were placed in an extra flannel bag (which could be opened and closed during feeding) and someone happened to handle the outer bag?

hello every1. i lost a mojo bag that i paid an AIRR $150.00 4 lastnite after i left the casino. i am so mad. um especially mad becuz i haven't had it long, plus i paid a pretty penny 4 it. it was suppose 2 b good 4 everything (all-purpose). i really dn't understand y i paid so much, and LM's mojo bags aren't that much. hmmmm. anyways wats dun is dun. i need another 1. can any1 give me any advice on which action 2 take? or which 1 2 purchase. if u kno any other AIRR whom i can get 2 make me anotha 1, u can pm me, or if u suggest LM, which 1 is the correct 1 2 get? thanks 4 ur help.

if you want an all-purpose mojo, then I suggest LM's Lucky Red Clover Bag, Triple Strength. It's $30.

That's not to say that paying more for a worker to make something specifically tailored to your needs is wrong. I would love to be able to have a personalized mojo made by an experienced practitioner! It sucks that you lost it - so sorry to hear that. If you had good experience with it, then you might just want to plunk down the money to have another one made up by the same worker since they already know your situation and exactly what you want from it.

Hi all,

I was getting ready to do some spell work in my room's toilet (it's connected), when my mother suddenly demanded to be let in.. My space was all set up and there was too much to be able to put away in a short amount of time, so I left the stuff there, hoping she wouldn't come into my toilet.

My mum came in and saw my mojo hand and a few candles. She didn't really comment on or touch anything. She doesn't know what a mojo hand is or what I was doing.

She knows that I do hoodoo, and accepts it (but doesn't exactly approve of it), could this have in any way wrecked my spell work and/or my mojo?

What should I do?

Please please help!

Don't worry about it. As long as she doesn't touch it and really doesn't know what you're doing, you're OK. However, I wouldn't have let her in; I would have said something like "A little privacy, please!"

Besides your concentration being ruined things should be ok. I haven't heard it said that a mojo hand can't be seen, but I have heard that they should not be touched by anyone other then you. Don't let doubt get in the way of your success, cleanse yourself of doubt and have faith in your work. You should be fine.

I hadn't started the spellwork yet at the time, so fortunately I wasn't distracted!
No one was home at the time, but my parents returned home earlier than I had expected.

Anyhow, I had a little "heart-to-heart" talk with my precious mojo, and I think it's doing fine..

I'll just bear all your reassurances in mind and not let it bother me, hopefully everything goes smoothly!

Greetings!

I ordered a mojo hand from Lucky mojo a while back, followed the instructions, wore it to interviews and (SHAZAM!) got a job. The job met my financial needs, the work was acceptable, and my co-workers were pleasant enough. I continued to keep the mojo hand in my pocket and to feed it fairly regularly.

During the weekends, since it was a Crown of Success hand that I dressed for helping me secure work, I left the mojo hand on my personal altar tucked away. Though he typically stays away from my altar under penalty of being severely hollered at, one day while I'm getting dressed he picks up the mojo hand and asks what it was. Horrified, I immediately told him to put it down and he did - it was quite out of character, so I guess that little bag had enough mojo for him to notice it. Regardless, I made it clear he was not to touch the altar again unless I told him to do so.

A couple of weeks later the work dried up at the office and my boss lets me go.

I read the general no-touching rule listed in the Lucky Mojo page on mojo hands. But I wanted to find out if that is in anyway mitigated if the person who touches it is your partner of nine years who wishes for the same thing the bag was created for: your success.

So...

Question 1: If your partner of nine years picks up your mojo hand, does it kill the hand?
Question 2: If the hand is killed, what should I do with it and its contents to dispose of it in the right way?

Question 1 answer: Yes
Question 2 answer: crown of success, you want to keep close to you so I would say front yard disposal.

Someone with more experience may either validate or correct me...but with my knowledge noone should 'ever' touch your mojo.

As for the items included... re consecrate them.

Bury the soft items like herbs and hair and cleanse the hard items like roots and coins. Either order a new mojo or make your own, but put it somewhere out of sight. Since it's for work, put it in a bag you take to work. Only put it on your altar if you want to smoke it or feed it.

Yes, your mojo hand is dead. NO ONE should touch your mojo hand. Bury the entire bag somewhere off property. If possible, bury it near a dead relative. If that is not possible, bury it in a public park.

I want a strong link with my mojo. is sexual fluid counted as an item that i can substitute for nail clippings and the like? (my focus is BOTH CAREER AND LOVE)... extra money as well. What's the strongest link I should use?

Since the mojos have not been personalized you are ok.

According to your mojos purpose...the sexual fluids would be appropriate for love ...as for career, I would use another item... (but hair, nail clippings, could serve both purposes)...by the way the 'strong link' is your intent, focus and prayers...

If it is a LM mojo...directions are included...

Hi, I put the success mojo together but there were two glitches... I think.

I wrote a list of 4 desires centering around excelling at my current job, removing writer's block and mental power...
The instruction said desire but those are my desires for success. I crossed my name 9 times, as instructed. Since most of those desires revolve somehow around money or ability to make money via current job and side gig, my petition peper is actually a $5 dollar bill. The banks were closed yesterday and the stores I went to didn't have $2 dollar bills. Since they had the new money bills, which I find attractive, I went for it and it was a $5 bill. Is that a glitch?

When the instruction called for folding the bill, personal item, mercury dime toward myself, I found myself rolling toward me instead of folding. So, I turned it side-way and unrolled the package, turned it toward me and re-annointed it with my prayer for success before I did the folding toward me again.

I slept with the mojo next to me and am wearing it now. I don't feel any different, except from the cleansing bath I took yesterday that is still lives me feeling upbeat and positive.

Well, $5 aren't known for being lucky like the $2 bill is. That's why the mojo calls for a $2 bill. The other acceptable substitution for the $2 bill that I've heard is the highest denomination bill that you can afford to let sit and be part of the mojo. The theory being that you are encouraging as much money coming into you as possible by providing an example. So again, I would have gone for at least a $20 - not a $5 - if I were going to substitute due to inability to get a $2.

But overall I think you're overthinking it. Also putting doubt into your mojo isn't going to help anything. I personally wouldn't talk about a working mojo anymore than I would talk about a work-in-progress.

Just feed your mojo bag regularly, don't talk about it, don't let anyone touch it, and stop doubting and worrying about it so it can do its work without interference.

While making my weekly devotions to St. Expedite last night, I decided to get my money mojo put together from the ingredients I've been assembling for a while now. I'm so pleased, it has a very strong feel to it; thanks to LM and forum members for the teriffic ideas and products I used to make this hand.

Now for the reason behind this post, and I'm looking forward to reading the various responses. We all know our mojo is alive...and that no one is supposed to see or touch the mojo, lest it be killed. Would anyone care to postulate on why this is so? I can see hiding it from one's rivals/enemies...but why is it my husband, who loves me & money, would have a detrimental effect on the mojo? I have often wondered what theory leads to this rationale.

The last part of this post is praise for the fine folks at Lucky Mojo. I recently got the Love Me spellkit and the flannel bag included had a darling brass heart charm already sewn on for me. That inspired me to sew a Lucky Penny charm (framed in silver, inscribed on the back: "Keep me and never go broke") my dad had given my mom for her charm bracelet back in the 70's onto the money mojo. It looks pretty spiffy, if I do say so myself. (Too bad I can't show it to anyone.

) Anyhow, as it took me a good ten minutes to thread my needle up and sew it on (I'm no seamstress...) I really gained an appreciation for the fact that LM staff takes the extra time and effort to sew those neat-o charms onto the bags. (Hopefully someone more proficient with a needle and thread than I does the job!)

Mojo bags take the natural spirits and energies innate within the herbs and curios and draws them out towards a particular goal. This is believed to create a completely personalized, new mojo spirit that works for you and you alone. Despite how close we are to other people, we all have different ideas about things like love, wealth, success etc. Its these difference that influence a mojo bag. For example, you have a very specific intention in mind, but that intention could be completely different from what a friend or lover has or believes about the same subject. If they don't see you mojo bag they cannot speculate and influence.

Secondly the spirit you create with the mojo bag is ment to literally meld with you, to bring in the elements you seek into your life. Touching a bag kills the spirit because it gets contaminated with someone else's touch. While hoodoo may not have an elaborate or expressed idea about things like etheric fields/auras or the alchemical elements, they seem to still have an unspoken respect to them. If you are melding something into your personal "aura" then another person touching your bag would infect the spirit with their auric energies.

At least this is what I've seen.

Conjureman, I can always count on you for an interesting and informative reply. Thank you. Your response mirrors some of the ideas I had formed about the secrecy of the mojo and the delicacy of its life force.

Another thought that had occurred to me regarding the need for secrecy with the mojo is the notion that one's enemies, if they knew of the mojo's existence and whereabouts, could steal the mojo and wreak havor on the owner, given the personal concerns within. This idea seems a bit out-moded now, but at one time it may have been a real cause for concern. A lot of the Hyatt material centers around folks laying tricks back and forth for one another, almost like a hoodoo war.

If anyone else would care to comment on their personal theory about the life of a mojo, please share your thoughts and ideas here. I really appreciate the shared information; vielen dank!

Even apart from mojos, special prayers for special ( and maybe questionable?) ends require secrecy...in hinduism and buddhism for example, a guru will only teach a student his special mantras or stotras when the student has demonstrated not only the discipline and obedience to his set of rules but also the maturity required to keep them secret.

Much of this I think goes back to an almost universally accepted rule of the transfer and impact of thought energy, the underlying metaphysics behind every magical system is almost alike in its basics...

as far as mojos are concerned, in order to accomplish an aim the thought process behind it must be one pointed and focussed for faster and greater impact...conjureman very correctly states that even ppl very close to each other may have very different ideas on similar topics...Also since a mojo like a honey jar and almost like a 'container spell' and anything that enters and effects the intent of the container's contents will impact the outcome, so it seems if there is less dispersion, and more focus of thoughts that enter the mojo by its handler or handlers, it will likely be more effective...not being seen or touched by anyone else just makes for fewer variables

also your point is very valid, about using the mojo as a 'thoughtform' of its creators , in the 'wrong' hands it can potentially be manipulated against you. just my 2c

I had my mojo in my shirt pocket and a friend was poking at it through the shirt asking what it is. I swiped his hand away and the subject was dropped. Is it specifically skin on mojo an instant death or can contact through the shirt harm it as well. He didn't touch it bare mojo at all. Just through the shirt.

I'd like to share an experience I had.. Please excuse my shoddy english because my head's a little foggy from lack of sleep at the moment

I sleep with my mojo under my pillow every night, and wear it in my bra when I get up.
Once, I woke up late for work, and in my rush to leave, left my mojo lying forgotten under my pillow..

I have a live-in domestic helper (which, on a side-note, is quite common in the country I live in) who cleans up my room and does all the things like fluff up my pillows and re-making my bed.. So, remembering the "rule" that NO ONE should touch your mojo, I panicked. Being unable to stop her from finding it, I felt helpless and miserable (I mean, I couldn't exactly ring her up and tell her not to touch my bed, could I?) and just waited to go home to see what I could salvage from my dead toby.

I feel that I have a strong connection to my mojo in that I can sense it's emotions and needs, so when I finally got home (to find it neatly placed on my bedside table), I felt that it was weak, but not dead.

I burnt a red candle (the mojo is for love) anointed with a mix of the usual oils I feed it, settled the mojo in front of it, and reaffirmed what I'd always wanted it to do. I pierced my finger with a needle (not too deeply, though!) to draw blood, and dabbed a drop onto the mojo, telling it that it was bound to me now that I'd "sealed" it with my blood, and that no one else but me would ever be able to affect it.

I'm ashamed to admit it, but I'd accidentally left it at home about 2 more times, and am sure that it was touched by my helper. It's energy doesn't appear to be in any way changed, and it's as strong as ever.

I personally view this whole “if anyone touches it, it's dead” thing as more of a tradition than it is a set-in-stone rule, so this might also play a role in the “invulnerability” (lol!) of my mojo..

.. However, I'm still really careful to make sure my boyfriend doesn't touch it, just in case, since it's working on him, and I have his (hard-earned) nature tied up in it

So, that's my story! Sorry for the long post, and let me know what you guys think of it

@eben...thats a good question. I would say no...your mojo is not dead because they did not directly touch it. I mean if people keep them in their pockets and stuff and someone bumps into it. I wouldnt say thats causing it to stop working. But if you are paranoid about it I would say get another one.

@justsimple. Do the spell before dawn on the new moon. which would be saturday morning early before sun rise.

That's an interesting story, hiighpriestess, and actually hit directly upon the type of anecdotal information I was seeking when I started this thread. Although I adhere to the tradition of secrecy with my mojos (better safe than sorry!) your story tends to reinforce my idea that there may be instances when a mojo can withstand the sight/touch of another. I think your assumption regarding the relative strength of your mojo may be a deciding factor in whether or not the mojo in question can tolerate contact with others. The energetic link between the maker of the mojo, the mojo itself and the other party would come strongly into play, too, I presume. Thank you for sharing your experience -- perhaps others will also tell of instances when a mojo was able to "recover" from such an incident or appeared to be unaffected in any way. I did notice on Dr. E's site, a new AIRR worker, that if a mojo is touched that it needs to be re-empowered, but it can likely still be used. It's a service that he offers to those who had a mojo made by him.

I'm thinking of trying an experiment and seeing if I can "revive" my mojo (which my husband killed this past weekend) by heating it up and feeding it some hot stuff. If it works - great - if it doesn't, oh well!

if you know its in the house, Saint Anthony is a great person to petition. Miss Lara from AIRR also has a gift for finding lost things so you can try contacting her and seeing if she can be of any assistance.

Thank you guys, i found my mojo, and you can't believe it where, in my purse. i was praying to St Aparicio, St Anthony and to my guide King Solomon i asked him for wisdom, tolerance and take me to where was my mojo, i was praying to him in my way to my work and when i stop ed in the red light something told me look in your purse and bingooooooooooo, was there, i'm more happy than when i won the lottery.

My habit and act of gratitude to all my saints is save all my coins and every 1rst of the month i going to look for any homeless and give the money to them. In this particular case i offered a candle and i have it already for tonight. i pay to my saints but thank you for remind me.

Hello LM family,

I have a question as to whether or not Mojo bags can get burned out?

I ask this because it seems that I am burning out Mojo by putting too much personal energy into it, maybe I need to charge it one good time and stop always putting intent into it...:please help
