How to Use Vinegar Jars Questions and Answers

I plan on doing a vinegar /break up bottle on this Saturday to deal with my husband and his "friend" and have two questions.

First can you have the items like the pins, needles, nail and herbs in the bottle before hand. I will have to sneak off to the garage and do this Saturday night and if I have everything in the bottle except the cat/dog hair and pictures and personal items, it would help so I am not trying to whip this up with the children around. Or do not need to put this in one at a time to work.
Secondly is it important to do this the same time every day. My work schedule is all over the place and some days I have time in the morning and other I only have time at night, so do the time you work on the bottle for the seven days matter?
I plan to store this under my bathroom sink after the 7 days in a dark cloth until I feel it is time and then bury in a graveyard by the next dark moon the first week of January if it feels right.

I don't see why you couldn't put everything EXCEPT the vinegar into the bottle until you are ready to work it for the first time. Add the vinegar when you are ready to start working the bottle.

One of the traditional ways of timing spell work is "when the clock hands are falling," which works out to "the first half of each hour between 12:00 and 6:00," so you'll have plenty of opportunities between midnight and 6:00 am, or noon and 6:00 pm. Look at a dial clock and you'll get it.

It's been awhile since, I've been on here!! Usually, I get online to ask questions.. But today! I'm here to give an update!!!! The vinegar jar spell worked!! My brother and his wife is in the process of getting a divorce. She's gone her own way and move out.. And seeing someone new! And he has gone his own way, also seeing someone new as well! I'm happy with the outcome, it did take awhile before he came around and said anything to any of us. But I knew when he finally did tell me, and the rest of the family. What was going on and it has been going on for quite some time. I knew right away the jar did what it was meant to do. I'm happy that this jar help him get out, of a dangerous situation. Because now he sees how mistakenly wrong he was of marrying her!! And he also happy as well. He isn't stressed out anymore now! And that makes me and everyone else that loves him very happy. I don't have any regrets of doing this jar... I did it for all the right reasons! And it worked out for me at the end. Oh, another thing.. Nobody didn't get hurt or go to jail!! So, I'm glad it was done peacefully.

The advice I can give to anyone that's doing a vinegar jar spell. Is to believe in your work!! Always believe in your work.. Don't be obsessed with your work. Give your work time to work!! Just have patience. If you don't believe in your work.. It's not going to work!! Always, remember when you're doing work like this.. Make sure you're doing it for a GOOD REASON!! If it's not for a really good reason.. It might not really work in your favor.. So, make sure it's worth doing before you do it.

I am doing a breakup bottle for my husband and his "friend" on Saturday and have two questions.

I have the "friend's" signature on a card but nothing of her except a picture of him and her together. Can I rip the picture cutting them apart and add her signature to her items and write her name and birthday on what I want (which is her to break his heart and cheat on him) on the back of her picture and it work? And do I need to bind her picture with a black cord?

Second I am using hot foot, break up oil and maybe graveyard dirt to her items with the black cat hair, on his I am doing break up and black dog fur and his hair, and his half of the picture and a something he signed. Do I need anything else beyond the herbs like black pepper, chili peppers, poppy seed and mustard seed, and adding lemon juice to the mix? I have not been able to find Asafoetida but going to one last health store sat on my day off to look for it. Is there anything I can add to hers to make her hate him, I mean really hate him?

I see that burning candles over the jars appears to be the most popular way to "work the jar" But would it be okay if we just shook our jar before deploying it instead of burning candles over it

I have no doubt that you see that, but in my experience, burning a candle on a vinegar bottle is an extremely unlikely way to work. The most common way to work such as jar is to shake it (in some cases until it explodes) and/or to poke a hole in the lid and bury it upside down in the pathway of your enemy.

This forum is an interesting place -- it has its own ebb and flow of ideas -- but if i were you, and a beginner as you honestlly state that you are, i would seek out actual old-time workers and not rely on the consensus of opinions that can be harvested by reading the posts of further beginners.

This page from my free online book "Hoodoo in Theory and Practice" will help:

Note that it in describing harmful bottle and jar spells, it contains the sentence, "A black candle inscribed with the people's names written back-to-back (to separate them) may be burned in the mouth of the bottle before it is sealed."

Likewise, later in the page, it states, "For instance, if you burn a candle in the neck of the bottle, then after the candle is burned out, you can add vinegar (for a harmful spell), Florida Water Cologne (for a blessing spell), or Hoyt's Cologne (for a luck spell) and seal the bottle."

Only in the case of a honey jar does it note that, "Honey jars are often kept on the altar for weeks, months, or years, where they may serve as a base for the burning of small altar candles anointed with ritual oils."

None of these methods includes burning a candle "over" or on top of a harmful bottle spell.

I suggest that you read the page and consider the tradition -- and i make that suggestion not only to you, but to every reader of this forum.

I wouldn't re-use any part of something that made me uncomfortable or gave me uneasy feelings. It is a possibility that you may be reusing bad energies.

Oh,my god!I always thought that I just need to dispose of the elements of the jar,not the jar itself!Maybe this is a reason for why most of my curses didn't work?I worked on them for one week and then dispose of the elements of the jar to put anothers in it.

I'm interested in doing a vinegar jar, but I do not have the nine nails just nine straight pins. I'm going to put into this jar names of four people , so they can fight & argue with this one girl who is cause a lot of problems against me. I'm also going to put into the hot sauce, jalapeño peppers , Black pepper red pepper flakes , white vinegar , hot foot powder, hot foot oil.
Since I don't have the nine rusty nails, can I just put in the nine straight pins?
I just have the names of the four people only not the pictures is this OK to put jar?

it is very easy to rust nails.

Just boil the, drain them, put them out in the sun.

i've read lots of threads and posts on this so i just want to make sure i get this break up/vinegar jar correct because this girl keeps coming back into the picture as soon as he and i have an argument and stop talking:

-burn sage before and after

-I can use a mason jar and fill it with regular vinegar, ammonia, lemon juice, poppy seeds, break up powder and oil, seperation powder and oil, 9 pins, 9 nails, 9 needles, black pepper (is this ok ?) and chilli powder

- two computer printed photos of my ex and my target, on the back of his photo write his name in red with his DOB, on the back of her photo write her name in black but i do not have her DOB i just know shes a capricorn and then cross both of their names with break up or just cross her name with break up since its two different photos (i dont have pictures of them together) ?

-i can add a petition paper to aide in the breakup but how do i write the names and request on the petition paper ?

-seal it and shake it violently whenever i feel the need to and burn a black candle on top. Now on the black candle can i annoint it with the oils and if so do i need to write both of their names on the candles while burning them daily >

Everything is correct EXCEPT:

No ammonia!

And I just write "beak up" on the candle starting from top to bottom, cursing writing, without any breaks in the writing.

Hello I'm new to this entire process. My name is Daily.
I just started doing the love spell altar and almost finishing up my 7 days to create my honey jar.

Ok I'm working with a root dr and they are suppose to be doing the break up spell for me.

I got a question: can I do a vinegar jar while I'm doing doing the honey jar? Also will that interfere with the root dr doing the break up spell?
I have my ex I'm trying to get back. We still say we love each other however their BF is in the way saying not to return back and have motive of trying to get in closer. So I need to break their bond.

Please help. I'm new to the entire process.

hello everyone

quick question, and forgive me if this has been asked before......I have the best vinegar jar EVER......although I've noticed a pattern with it

ok here's the thing, lately I've noticed my jar has a calm (no movement) on Friday sSunday, and Monday and all of a sudden as soon as Tuesdaycomes and for the rest of the week it is super funky and very pungent, like it put itself on its own schedule LOL

I guess my question is, is this normal as I have neeever experienced this as long as i be been doing them and its been a long time

the smell is coming through everything I put it in a black sock, and two black bags.....I have too much energy and anger lol in that jar to sabbatoge my work by opening, oh goodbedd thats just madness lol ......

I was just curious to know if it was normal.....my other jars I didn't put lemons w/ the vinegar and maybe the two are creating the very more pungent smell than normal? ooooor maybe those are the days the sh#@ is really hitting the fan @ my target n his daughter/wifes house? I have all the confidence in the world in my work so I'm gonna go with the latter of the two (smile, wink)

I will be careful.....I don't shake it as hard I did when I first made it as time went on I shook but gentle.....I truly don't wanna get rid of it as I have so much good energy in it... ..but could that mean if it DOES explode its done its job?? or the gases got the best of the jar--uugghh--

i am gonna start another one really soon because I don't need that in my closet as the smell sometimes us overwhelming

I haven't heard from my target to know what's goin on but I keep seeing his face when I close my eyes and that's telling me something is not right.....I digress but I will make it my business to do another jar ASAP

Ok. So I am working on my second vinegar jar. The first one I worked was a little too good. I burned black candles anointed with olive oil while reading psalm 109, of course, on it until it burned down in shape of a skull. Then I got scared and didn't burn any more lol. At first the situation was starting to get worse, and A few months later, the girl I did the jar on ended up getting arrested and then her son caught a felony. She ended up moving a few hours away after being born and raised in the small town I live in. So I'm working a jar now. And once again, the situation is starting to get worse. Is this normal when working with vinegar jars? I didn't burn the candles on mines this time. I just shook it for nine days and took it to the Cemetary that I got the dirt from.

I would prefer that the jar be deployed rather than it exploding. Although its a good sign, it can be a huge mess for you.

I had one explode on me 2 weeks ago. After making over 300 jars for clients, this was the first time it had ever happened to me. It took me 4 hours to clean it up and it stained my walls. I had no idea that it was ready to explode. Not good...

Hi LM members, I plan on starting a vinegar jar this Saturday I want to know if these ingredients are ok cause I don't have much right now.
Pictures of both of my targets I plan on writing the petition on the back of their photos I want to keep my boyfriend so I'll write his petition in red ink. Then I'll use black ink for the other photo/petition.
I have 9 needles, and 9 nails, unfortunately I don't have 9 pins. I was thinking of breaking a glass and putting 9 pieces of broken glass into the jar instead. I also have some sulphur powder (but it's 2 months passed its expiration date is it still ok to use?) I have black pepper and cayenne pepper and of course I have vinegar.

Also I wanted to be sure that this will only sour my boyfriend's relationship with this other woman? I'm asking because he already has enough stress and I don't want the rest of his life to be affected I just need the relationship soured beyond repair between him the other woman.

I've been reading for days, and need some clarification. To get rid of a love rival do I need to do a vinegar jar with both of them in it, or just a freezer spell on her with a fig? I don't want to sour his life, or send him away from me. I have photos, sulfur, red peppers, glass, and pins. How much does the moon phase matter? Is there something I can do to boost the effectiveness during the waxing moon? I really can't wait for the waning moon. Hello Letsdoit,

You can do a viniger jar at the same time as a honey jar. I personally would not work them on the same day but would alternate. Honey jar on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Vinigar jar on Tuesday and Saturday.

You can cut down the petition paper to a size that works well for fitting in the jar. You put on the petition what you want to have happen. Just write it out!

I have a vinegar jar I have been working for for a couple of weeks, we live in different states so the only way for me to find out if my hoodoo is working is by getting a reading, but in the meantime, if I want to intensify the work can I open it and add more cayenne, black arts etc? Also everyday that I shake it should I do cleansing and protection on that day or just once a week like on Sunday?

Hi psychicveronica77,

No, you do not ever want to open a vinegar jar once you've started working it. Adding more to the jar does not intensify it. Just work your candles and shake it violently while cursing your target and you should be OK.

You can cleanse and protect as often as you choose, but definitely make it a regular habit if you are working your jar for the long term.

I'm learning. I did the vinegar jar with pictures coffin nails petition needles pins red pepper cayenne breakup oil vinegar(LM) handwriting note chili powder poppyseed and Separation powder

Right now just shaking it. I ordered black candles. So I need to know how that works? Do I state what I want to happen or read something?

I have bath crystals and hyssop and sea salt. I shower with it on the days I shake it. When I start candle I will bath every Sunday to cleanse do I get a cup of water and through out or sprinkle in my home for clearing while reading psalm 51?

I will do honey MWF and vinegar TS (candle)
Can I shake them both on the same day or no?

Sure, Aleesah22, you can do that. It is not the most common way to work with vinegar, but it is a good choice. Saturdays and Tuesdays are usual for work against enemies -- Saturday to bind or restrict them and Tuesday to wage war on them.

Well, first, you build in some head space, and second, you don't overload it with all kinds of weird-ass explosible shit. After all, your artisinal vinagrette salad dressing doesn't get all gassy and explode, does it? Your pickled beets don't get all gassy and explode, do they? Your Tabasco Sauce doesn't get all gassy and explode, does it? Of course not. So ... there ya go. Limit the junk you add and always remember head space, the key to non-explosive pickling!

I have a few questions regarding vinegar jars

1.) How long do the effects of the jar last. Shockingly I didn't find the answer to this on the forum. Will this type of harsh argument last for as long as these people continue to have contact even if it is years? Or Will the effects last a few weeks, months? What dictates the time the effects will continue for.

2.) What book can I purchase from LM to learn not just about vinegar jars but jar spells in general.

1. "Shockingly"? I don't get that. We are dealing with a vast number of spiritual and mundane variables here -- given the unknowns such as justification for the work, degree of innate or trained protection in the target,amount of connection they had before you threw for them, intensity of purpose or focus in the one doing the trick, etc. -- performing a magic spell is not so simple that it can be given a guarantee of outcome or a set of rules by which to operate. You are indeed a beginner -- and welcome to this community -- but you may find that what you have wandered into is a community based African American tradition of domestic magic, not a mathematical rule-set in which one factor (duration) can be teased out of an equation by adjusting other factors (timing of spell, quantity of vinegar, number of repetitions of curse, etc.)

2) We have no one single book (yet) exclusively on jar and bottle spells, but these two books and several free web pages contain a lot of solid information on all types of container, jar, bottle, and bowl spells:

Do you have to shake vinegar jar daily?
Or can you wrap it up in black cloth and keep it hidden?

I have been on here for a long time...

I'm looking for something in particular but can't find it...

I only have a guys date of birth and pictures or the girl and him, I wanna do a breakup jar before it gets serious. I can't find her date of birth on Facebook or anywhere. Will her picture be enough? I still have cat and dog hair, plus all the other ingredients

I only have her picture and my mans DOB and pic. But I can't find nothing on her DOB. Is picture enough?

You have enough concerns to start a jar, so go for it. If you learn more about her in the future, then start a new jar.

I'm working a vinegar jar for my boss and his "new" favorite employee.

I got the painted and fixed break up bottle mini spell kit and added their pictures (separately). I was able to get hair from them both. I had a picture of them together and wrote their names separately on the back and rubbed dog shit all over it and ripped the picture in half to split them up. I added some herbs and wrapped his picture up and then added goofer dust and hotfoot powder to her picture and folded it all up. I added them to the bottle trying to separate them with the pins, needles, and nails. I added some four thieves vinegar and burned a black candle on it.

I've been working it for a couple of weeks now. It looks like a bunch of brown disgusting liquid in there. I try to shake it everyday. On Tuesdays and Saturdays, I decided to burn a black candle on it dressed with break up oil to just charge it a little more. I haven't seen them together a lot recently, but I also haven't heard of them disagreeing or anything. But I know it might take longer than I've been working it. I have a couple of questions that I couldn't find an answer to in a search of this thread.

1. Should I add my urine to it as well even though I've been working it for a while now or is that something I should have done at the beginning and should leave it out now?

2. When you say you shake it daily, how long do you shake it for? I mean - are you shaking it for like 10 minutes cursing them? Or do you shake the hell out of it for a couple of minutes? I've been shaking it violently once or twice a day when I go by it - but only for a couple of minutes at a time. Is this enough to charge it up or should I try longer?

3. My plan is to continue to shake it until I start to see cracks in their friendship and then deploy it. Since they don't live together (and I have no idea where she lives anyway), I was thinking that I would deploy it at work. I can't put it anywhere they would both walk over it because the steps are all concrete - not even cracks I could put it in. I was considering poking a small hole in the top and burying it in the ground on the side of the building that we all park on. Alternatively, they do share an office wall - I could maybe find somewhere near there to hide it, but of course my fear is that it would be discovered. What would be the best way to deploy it you think?

Hi itgirl92,

Sounds like you did a nice job putting your jar together.

To answer your questions...

You do not want to add any of your personal concerns to a break up jar you are working on other people. Why add yourself to that pile of nasty shit you've thrown them into? Keep yourself out of it.

You also NEVER open a vinegar jar after you've started working it. You'll let out all that negative energy that you're surrounding them in. Why sabotage your own work?

How long you shake it is less important than the intensity you bring to the jar whenever you work it like that. Shout your curses at them, swear and get angry. I get REALLY pissed off when I work a vinegar jar, so let them have it. Whether it is for two minutes or ten is not the issue.

As for deployment, I would bury them in a graveyard to kill off that relationship for good. I would not deploy it where there is a high risk of it being discovered and discarded.

I try to put a lot of anger in my shaking of the jar - so it's good to know. I have a lot to direct at them!

I always thought that you shouldn't open a vinegar jar once started, but I thought I had read somewhere about someone adding their urine to a vinegar jar several days later. It seemed a little strange to me, but I wanted to check. I very much could have been confused about what spell they were working.

Hello igirl92,

TO the question of opening a vinegar jar or not it really depends on the worker. I hear people say never to open them but I have also heard people who open them to stick more nasty things in there to keep up the work. Ultimately I would go with what ever the instructions were from the person who taught you how to make the vinegar jar and if you just ventured out on your own then do what works best for you.

Hi guys
I want to create a vinegar jar for a family member who got me in tonnes of trouble. Basically i want this person to feel 3x the pain i felt. I want every oppurtunity that comes their way to destroy them. I also want people he encounters in his life to completely hate him & always have problems.

I also want two of my other family members to loathe him & remove him from their lives. I basically want him kicked out his place.

I was wondering if i wanted these two other family members to loathe him, would i have to add their name papers in the vinegar jar too & if yes then what color should it be written in. Also the two people that i want to hate him can i put their personal concerns in aswell as the target whom its intended for.
