Folks have been talking with me about the possibility of franchises
(ala Popeye's or Wendy's), agents (ala Mary Kay or Avon), straight
wholesale (ala Joseph B. Wilson's site) or wholesale with graphics
supplied by me (oh no! another job for me to do!!!), i asked her to
inquire if others were interested, and i was astonished at the
response. So many of you are interested! That is fantastic.

Now, in case any of you don't know it, LMCCo already does sell
wholesale. You can ask for our wholesale terms by snail mail or email.
You will need a business license and must meet a minimum order and pay
full shipping each time you order. I will try to put aside some time to
design banners and spot ads for those of you who have web sites and
carry our products.

Any plans for agents, franchises, or similarly complex deals will have
to wait until i catch my breath on the course lessons and the next
catalogue, but i will not forget. It's exciting to me to think that we
could do this within the year 2004, but i know i have to pace myself
realistically and i will need to read up on templates for such business
models. STRAIGHT WHOLESALE is my choice for now.

Although the course lessons do explain in some detail what i know about
being a professional rootworker, i don't think that most of the
students here want to hear about running a shop, so having gotten my
answer, that's good enough for me right now, and we can let it rest.

Thanks very much for letting me know that you are interested. Something
good will come of this.

Cat, I know you and i have talked on this theme many
times, so the current interest seems to imply the Universe is
seeking to birth this desire for you. As always, I am happy to be an
Official Lucky Mojo Affiliate although I don't have the products
listed on my website presently. Your Lucky Mojo banner however, is
listed several places in my Metaphysical Link Directory.

To the class, Cat's products are the real thing, and ordering
wholesale is really economical if you are considering working as a
professional. get your City/county business license. Apply for a
fictitious name to do business under from the State. Once it is
granted, go to the bank with the approved Fictitious Name
Certificate and open a business checking account in that name.
Presto! You are in business!

Wholesale Ordering Questions and Answers

Unread post by QueenMabulla » Fri Jun 25, 2004 10:57 pm

Cat,

Who do I call to carry some of your products in my shop.

mambo Angel

(Our WHOLESALE TWEMS are online here:
http://luckymojo.com/wholesale.html

(For more details, you can call the shop, 9-5., Monday through Friday, Pacific time. The phone number is 707-887-1521. They will explain to you the minimum order and the various discount schedules for wholesale terms. Most items Lucky Mojo brand oils, sachet powders, incense powders, bath crystals, washes, waters, herb packets, etc.) are at a fifty percent discount from the reatail price you will find at our site. Some items (colognes, books, imported amulets, candles, etc.) are at a 30% discount. Only a very very few items (hand-made mojo bags, for instance) have no discount.

(If you want a printed copy of the wholesale terms, you can email the shop at order@luckymojo.com and ask for the wholesale terms form letter, and we will send it to you by email the same day. You can also request a copy by snail mail. Once you have the wholesale terms, you can get the complete inventory list from the web site and print that out or ask for a snail-mail copy. With those two pieces of data -- the wholesale terms and the complete inventory list -- you have all you need to compute your wholesale order. Then you can mail, phone, email, or fax us your order and we will make up the products for you fresh (no factory here!) and send them to you.

(If you want help with selecting what sells best, you can ask anyone in the shop -- Carin, Susie, Kamala, Diana, or Viv (or me!) and we will tell you which supplies are our best selling in each class of product -- for instance, which love oils sell best, or which money-drawing oils. That way you will not be wasting your money on slow-selling items. --cat)

Hi Cat,

I read that Lucky Mojo offers products wholesale, but I do not have
a business license. Can I still get a discount? (I'm looking for
sources to purchase cases of 7 day candles in various colors).

(Sorry, the wholesale price is for businesses only. --cat)

If not, could you refer me to other suppliers who sell wholesale or
at discount to individuals for quantity orders?

(The cost of shipping candles is such that it is always best to buy
them locally. There are a number of factories for these candles
nationwide on the West Coast, East Coast, and in Texas. Find the
brand you like best (Continental, Briite Glow, Reed, etc.) and locate
their factory nearest to you. --cat)

I tried a local 99 cent store and they do have 7 day candles (white,
pink, green and red colors only), but sometimes I have to fuss with
the wick because it is too close to the glass, or the candle only
lasts 5 days because it is not filled to the brim. Right now, it is
the only inexpensive source that I know of locally.

(The misplaced wicks are more common with some manufacturors than
others. Also be aware that the grade of wax varies by maker, from
very soft and oily to medium hard, and the harder the wax, the longer
the burn time. Buying candles by the case at the local dollar store
may be your best bargain, because those stores buy at sub-wholesale
prices due to having the candles trucked in on pallets rather than
shipped via UPS. Just try to find a dollar store that carries the
brand you like best. Good luck. --cat)

Thanks,
Jess

Hi cat, I was wondering about your wholesale options. Does a customer
have to have an established account with you to buy wholesale, or can
they simply order whatever is above the required amount for the
wholesale price? Some companies want a business tax id number, etc.
for example.

(We require a copy of your tax ID # / business licencse / resale
license / seller's permit (different states and nations have different
forms of these) -- we do not sell wholesale to private parties because
the wholesale price is for resellers; it is not simply a volume
discount. --cat)

Best Occult/Pagan Shop: Edge of the Circle
Seattle Weekly, 08/01/2007
By Gavin Borchert

Well, it is cluttered. But Edge of the Circle is otherwise not at all like what you might imagine a magickal bookshop to be. Rather than gloomy, musty, cobwebby, and antique-filled, it's well lit and colorful, filled with curiosities, but not in the least sinister. Owner Robert Anderson wants his place, which anchors one end of a flourishing strip of shops on Pike just west of Broadway, to be welcoming and inclusive, and he's thrilled to give me a tour.

Maybe not entirely inclusive. In a manifesto on EotC's Web site, Robert describes what the store won't offer: "I hate the New Age. I hate it. I hate ear candles, Deepak Chopra books, and anything in pastels." The book selection does, though, range from herbalism to kabbalah, Frazer's Golden Bough to Astrology for Dummies, A Kitchen Witch's Cookbook to the Poetic Edda. A cloth-swathed shelf jocularly labeled "Spooky Section" holds the scariest works: H.P. Lovecraft anthologies and Anton LaVey's Satanic Bible. Anderson prides himself on having beefed up the selection of what he calls urban folk magic: Santeria, vodun, and related beliefs. "[This] worship community is huge," Anderson says, "and it's great to see the look of relief on the face of someone new to Seattle, who finds that we carry eggshell powder, cascarilla [used in rituals], in those little paper cups."

That's just one of the "props and supplies of sorcery" that Robert relishes being surrounded by, as much as by the books: incense, oils, herbs, prayer candles. Agua espiritual. "Controlling Lucky Mojo" sachet powders — the whole "Lucky Mojo" line, in fact, including Lavender Love Drops and Stop Gossip Oil. Vessels and chalices. Jewelry, bumper stickers, gems and stones, CDs. Large banners adorned with pentagrams; robes in purple, black, and aqua; T-shirts with Celtic knot designs. Dozens of different tarot decks: an art nouveau tarot, a gay tarot, an animal-wise tarot, a medieval cat tarot. And the classic Golden Dawn Tarot in black and white: You can color the cards yourself.

Anderson points out a black, foot-tall statue of the winged, goat- headed idol, Baphomet, in a glass case (yours for just $87.50): "Most New Age stores wouldn't touch that."

The store's predecessor was a place on 14th Avenue and Union Street called Shamanic Convergence, the founding of which is obscured by the mists of time, i.e., sometime in the mid-'80s. It was renamed Edge of the Circle in 1992, moved to its current location in 1994, and has been owned by Anderson (as the company Fun Time Incorporated) since May 1995.

But Edge of the Circle serves an even broader function as a community center and gathering place for pagan and alternative-religion groups of all kinds. An unprepossessing basement room—with a copy of the Wiccan Rede ("An it harm none, do what ye will") tacked on the wall— sees frequent use for classes, meetings, and rehearsals. On the main floor, a cozy corner table is set aside for tarot readings, with three different readers sharing a schedule that covers afternoon and early evening seven days a week. And the entryway windows have become a community bulletin board, with flyers and posters advertising a Seattle shaman meetup; Central Puget Sound Pagan Pride Day (Sept. 16 in Tukwila); the Holy Well Circle, "Seattle's open Wiccan circle"; and rune study classes. A company called Witchy Wonders offers its services to "those of us who desire respectful cleaning of temple rooms, altars, sacred spaces. . . . A complementary smudging is happily offered and banishing rituals are yours for the asking."

701 E. Pike St., Seattle, Washington, www.edgeofthecircle.com.

And, in 2022, they STILL carry Lucky Mojo Curio Co. products and are one of our very best wholesale accounts! -- cat

I found a company on Ebay that sells authentic Lucky Mojo brand items. The company is called Black Cat Root Shack. Does anybody know about this company? How can we tell if a company is an "authentic" reseller?

While I can't guarantee everything will be fresh, I still placed a small order and will drop a line when I get it to let you know how it turns out. I am hoping it will be a resource where I can get products faster as I know LM sometimes gets pinched by the supply and demand entity of success.

jewel,

It you look at that reseller page, you will see a small icon picture showing that they are an online affiliate and at the bottom of
the page there is information about them being an authorized LM reseller. And they most certainly are.
These authorization icons can be copied of course, so good of you to check it here before buying.

Well, Jorge Diaz, the owner, did purchase a lot from us a year ago. He was also the one who started us on the photos -- all those cute little pictures of the bottles are his! -- and we traded him product for al his good work, but he has not made a recent order and is no ;oger one of our auhorized resellers.

Hello all! This question is generally posed to Miss Cat or anyone who knows about LM Licensing, because a few days ago one of my friends emailed me this link: http://myworld.ebay.com/blackcat-rootshack/ (which was where she thought I was buying my LM products) The seller claims to be a licensed LM seller, and having never heard of LM doing this, I wanted to make sure that this seller was legit. I figured either she was, and no harm no foul, or she wasn't and it needed to be brought to the attention of those in charge.

Thanks for taking the time, everyone!

Black Cat root shack is on Cat's list of Licensed dealers. I was wondering the same thing the other day when I came across it. The link for the list of dealers is here: http://www.luckymojo.com/mojocatretailers.html

Hi all,
When I google I see a lot of other folks carrying LM products. How do I know which of these is approved of by LM themselves or if they are rip offs ? Does this site have a listing of authorized re-sellers?
Thanks

When buying wholesale, it says goods manufactured by LMCC are discounted 50% and items distributed are discounted 30%

My question is, do herbs and curios count as distributed goods or manufactured goods? Also, are spellkits considered manufactured?

Hi, Malefic.

I'm guessing you should probably call the shop with this question. I once asked a question here regarding an order I'd placed and learned this forum is run by volunteers, not the LM staff. Give them a call or send an email to orders@luckymojo.com to get in touch with someone who can answer this query.

If I had to guess I would say the herbs and curios are manufactured (since LM actually makes those themselves) and items like books that are made elsewhere would be distributed.

I'm considering buying Lucky Mojo products from Black Cat Root Shack on Ebay

But I was wondering, Would Ebay protect my privacy????

I am an in the broom closet practicer. I live with 3 other people, when they see the box from Ebay the last thing it needs to say is blackcat-rootshack or Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Spell Kit.

Would buying Lucky Mojo products from Ebay give me 100 percent privacy? Even from the 3 people that live with me who will most likely read it?

Thats something to take up with the proprietor of that particular Ebay shop. This forum is to help people chose and use Lucky Mojo products, we aren't technical support for Lucky Mojo or their retailers. Email the shop owner and ask about discreet shipping options.

Black Cat Root Shack is a licensed distributor for Lucky Mojo products - so you need to take your questions up with the owner of Black Cat Root Shack as they are completely independant from Lucky Mojo.

I know that Lucky Mojo will pack things discreetly if you ask them to, so I imagine that if you ask, Black Cat Root Shack will do the same. But you need to contact them directly.

Lucky Mojo can and will send packages discreetly to you. The box will NOT say LMCC-it has a person's name instead. It will be just a plain box with nothing on the outside displaying your order.

Yes, but she was asking about an independent distributor. For that she needs to contact them directly to see what their policies are. They are not LM.

That's OK. Re-reading the question, the original poster was a bit confused too. I only understood it because I was already familiar with the site. But basically, when you're ordering from them, you're not ordering from Lucky Mojo or from eBay, you're ordering from Black Cat Root Shack. Contact them directly for more help.

this is regarding the LM privacy aspect: when u place an order with them at their shopping cart, there is a box that asks you what kind of shipping you need, and you can choose the discreet option.

There was the one time when i forgot to pick that option, but as a rule i mention it in the body of message box ALSO that is at the bottom of the ordering page, where you put in any instrutions or choices etc you might have. When that parcel came it was discreet shipping so i kinow they read the message box and followed those requests as well.

They are very busy and may not have time to answer emails for days at a time....but they are worth it though.

Since the black cat root shack is a authorized LM dealer i am pretty sure they will do the same, and u might get a reply earlier as they are (probably) a smaller and less busier store.

Good luck!

Thank you so much for your help. I decided that I am not going to buy from Ebay. I am going to buy from the official Lucky Mojo page. And thanks for explaining how to place and order and how to get the discreet option. Truth be told, I found it VERY confusing.

It is confusing at first but gets much easier. Call the shop if you have a quick question; they will also advise you on which candles/spell kits, and they have always been VERY helpful to me. And you can order on the phone as well.

I thought I saw this the other night when doing some online window shopping and then let it slip my mind. But it came up again today in a search I was doing.
It seems that a few LM supplies are for sale on the Indio Products website, not really represented as such, and that seemed odd to me.
A short search found these:
Cast off Evil kit
Law Keep Away Kit
The image URL shows a closeup of the LM instruction sheet and products

Just want to point it out in case this isn't an approved business arrangement LM has with Indio. If it IS, my apologies for butting in. Just lookin' out for LM and cat!
Thank you Saint Martha for hearing my petition and for your ongoing good works for myself and others.

Thanks for watching out for us! You are so nice!

Yep, we sold those kits to Indio at wholesale and they can resell them.

I was wondering if anyone knew if Twigs Magikal Thrift Shoppe was an approved Lucky Mojo reseller? I may want to order from them in the future, but didn't see the certified resale info anywhere for them. Please delete if this is in the wrong place. Is there a general resellers list for online resellers? Thank you,

Hey guys,
The list that starsinthesky provided is a list of official retail resellers of Lucky Mojo--but in order to be on that list each merchant must have a brick and mortar shop where people can go and visit. There are many folks who resell Lucky Mojo products online legitimately and are not on that list. Your best bet is to call the store to find out if the online purveyor you are interested in is one of the resellers.
Blessings,

Hi yesitsme.

Both of your questions are off-topic for this forum. This forum is here to help people chose and use LuckyMojo spiritual supplies. LuckyMojo does not sell "altar tables" old or otherwise. You do not need a special table for an altar in any case, the top of a nightstand works well.
yesitsme wrote:wat is a good wicca or hoodoo school?
See above, this forum has nothing to do with the Neo-Pagan religion of Wicca; this is not the place to ask about any facet of that tradition.

Miss Cat teaches a correspondence course about Rootwork, but you have to be a customer of the shop, and meet a few criteria, then she must personally o.k your membership. You may read about the whole process here:

http://www.luckymojo.com/mojocourse.html

Also, why are you looking for a "a good wicca or hoodoo school?" They are completely different things, one will not teach you the other.

Hi Cat,

Have you heard of Augustine's shoppe in Chicago, IL? Stitch & I were talking about how awesome you are one day, and how he knows you and has spoken to you quite a few times and sells some of your stuff. He's a really funny, nice and super goofy adhd kinda guy. I love his energy! He always calms me down and renews my spirit. I just thought I'd mention that. hehe you're a big deal :)

love, mimiso

Well, thanks. I sure do know Caroline, Stitich, and the others there.

I wish i was a enough of a "big deal" for them to become regular wholesale customers of mine. I've tried, and i even helped them once with their web site, but they don't seem inclined to carry our products. Too bad, too, because there are lots of folks we ship to in Chicago who would love a real local outlet for Lucky Mojo products -- it would save them having to pay the shipping charges, the products would be right there in a store for them to smell-test, and the store-keeper would make a nice mark-up on the products with no work, and only a $150.00 minimum order each time. Plus, we would promote their store via our own site and they would have free use of all our product pictures for their site. It's a good deal and dang generous on our part ... but they've never taken us up on the offer.

Yeah I agree with you. I haven't met Caroline, I've heard of her, but I always happen to only drop in on the days Stitch is there. Maybe it's fate. There aren't very many metaphysical shops in Chicago surprisingly. They have some of your stuff on hand. I told them they should have more of your stuff because it would make it easier for me! Hmm, if I move back to Chicago, I would totally take on the role of helping you sell stuff in Chicago :) I just love how your stuff really works.

I'm in the process of going online to do my readings and sell Lucky Mojo products. If I do well, I'll start a physical shop north of Seattle. I hope to see you all there!

I love the quality of Lucky Mojo products but would like to purchase them locally. I noticed there aren't any UK retailers on the list of Lucky Mojo Retailers but overheard the list only contains shops with a physical location. Are there any reliable websites in the UK that sell Lucky Mojo products?

Pagan Magic, operated by Dawn Gribble in Devonshire as pagan-magic.co.uk online is an authorized Lucky Mojo reseller. They also sell other brands of goods. For the items that have Lucky Mojo labels and for which they are using graphics from our web site, they are selling actual Lucky Mojo oils. They have placed 18 large wholesale orders with us to date.

Lara's Black cat Root Shack is indeed an authorized Lucky Mojo reseller. She is a forum admin here, and works for Lucky Mojo on IT projects as well. She's also a great friend and compatriot of yours truly.

Thanks for asking and to all who responded to the question -- i am touched by your concern for quality and authenticity.

Look for this image, which our wholesale customers may -- or may not -- put on their pages, as they wish

Oh thank you so much Cat for this, really appreciated. Im assuming the colours of the oils vary. Will check out the list hope to find some other uk sellers other then pagan-magic. But glad to know my oils are authentic and bought direct from you. Thanks to everyone who responded.
