Thank you, Star! Thats some good ideas! I like the idea with railroad tracks! I remember you told me that before!
I try to dispose of everything at crossroads to the west or east (depending on work).
I also curerntly have a box I put all remains into for drawing work (cause its kinda would be hard to bury when its 30 degrees outside and ground is deep frozen).
As for burning petitions I would always keep them until I get what I asked for, and then burn like Im done, I got the result, and keep the ashes in same box, but my thought was that it not exactly what I was suppose to be doing. And Im always trying to learn and improve myself.
Thank you once again for taking your time to explain
P.S. See, I didnt consider petition paper as remains ( I just read it from your another post). Now I see why to bury it. Thanks.

Re: Candles: How to Trim Carve Load Petition Pray Dress Arrange Light
I am working on a few issues involving a relationship...
I have an uncrossing candle, fixed
I also have a reversing candle.
would these conflict if I also had a third candle working -- something to bring love to me? I'm wondering if uncrossing and love would just cancel each other out...
Would they conflict if the third candle was to cross another person?
I'm just trying to figure out the order of what to do when... I mean, for the ones I burn at home, when I have them set at the Missionary Independent Church they are GREAT at advising me.

Re: Candles: How to Trim Carve Load Petition Pray Dress Arrange Light
Uncrossing is to remove any jinxes, spell work or just negative vibes from you and your environment. (I would burn this first) Follow with Love me which is a drawing spell. Do you have protection in place or working as you do these spells?

Re: Candles: How to Trim Carve Load Petition Pray Dress Arrange Light
I don't have anything right now, though I did just finish a protection candle. I have the 13 herb bath which I plan to use. I have reversing candles- shld I do those at same time as uncrossing? Shld I just dress a white candle meantime for protection? So many questions....
What about jinx work to others- I'm thinking uncrossing/ reversing shld be done separately than breakup and love work but I've also heard you can vary times of day....

Re: Candles: How to Trim Carve Load Petition Pray Dress Arrange Light
13 herb is not for protection, it is for cleansing similar to the uncrossing candle work; you sound like me sometimes so much to do...I need focus...and that is what you need. A reading will help you to decide on what to do first and in what order. But if you talked with LM; you probably have a good idea where to start.

You simply need to keep your intentions clear, separated, and manage your spellwork. This can be done by times of day, days of the week, or any other method of organization you feel like using. Its like baking, dont mix your ingredients, keep your space clear so you don't accidently spill something in the wrong batter, keep your mind focused so you don't burn anything, and make sure to manage your time

Is it okay to burn an uncrossing candle and a reversing candle side by side at the same time?

Yes i am assuming you are uncrossing yourself, and reversing back the effects to the person or for what happened. So yes that is completely fine.
Since this thread is about burning candles in a triangle, I would add a Jinx Killer candle.

Yes, that is fine. Hopefully the candles are part of a larger work - such as cleansing baths, etc.

Re: Candles: How to Trim Carve Load Petition Pray Dress Arrange Light
OOOOOH i have another question...yea
i have never consecutively burned any type of candle for a number of days or at least not burned any that were considered to be "dark work"
Since this is kind of dark work (the reversing part) am i supposed to cleanse my house EVERY TIME after i'm done lighting it? or just AFTER i'm done with the WHOLE candle?
same goes for protection....I have fiery protection incense and oil, would that be okay to use BEFORE lighting the candles as protection for myself?

The most simple petition paper is just writing what your intent is in a clear and concise sentence, then place that under a candle. You could then write your name on top of that statement 3 times in order to show that you have control over that situation.

Re: Candles: How to Trim Carve Load Petition Pray Dress Arrange Light
It's a bit difficult to illustrate a petition paper in this format, but I'll do my best. There are several traditional methods for preparing petitions, I'll outline a common one for you here. You may use parchment paper or paper neatly torn from a brown paper bag. If you like, you can use colored ink that complements your work or a #2 pencil (no erasing allowed!) -- green ink is nice for this, but whatever you have is fine. Make sure all your spell components are assembled; you don't want to stop midway through your ritual to get something you've forgotten and break your focus.
Write out your full name 3, 5, 7 or 9 times (your choice) with each repetition of the name directly beneath the last. Turn your paper nintey degrees clockwise, which is considered toward you, because you are working to draw money. Overwrite your name with a short petition, for example, I've used the success sigil or a phrase like, "Prosperity is mine." Write your petition the same number of times you have written your names, spaced so that it completely covers your name. Now if you like, you can encircle that with a related petition, like "Bless me with prosperity." The trick is to begin writing your petition, encircle the name/petition and never lift your pen. Go back and dot i's and cross t's when you've completely closed the circle. It's good to practice this technique because you want it to be perfect. Other workers with just write a petition beneath the name/petition. One technique I've learned is to "box in" the name/petition with either four related petitions or the same petition written four times, so that the name/petition is enclosed on all sides. I think this practice is probably more common in areas influenced by Native American practices, because there is a lot of power attributed to the number 4. I have used all these methods with success, so you can choose what feels best to you.
After your name paper and petition is prepared, take some anointing oil and lightly dab each of the four corners as you pray and state your petitions; finish with a final dab in the center of the paper, making a 5 spot design. For drawing work, you will then fold the paper inward toward yourself. How many times the paper is folded depends on the type of paper you're preparing, but remember to rotate it clockwise, toward yourself and fold inward each time.
Hope that helps you get started; take some time to plan out your work and practice your name paper so you are feeling confident during your spell. Also see the LM webpages for additional information about how and why name papers are prepared and the spells archive for a spell that may suits your needs.
Good luck,
Michelle

Hi
If using a glass encased green candle to burn on top of the petition, what would be the best / strongest herbs to load into the candle for money drawing?

All herbs are strong, and serve different purposes. I would use magnetic sand, allspice, mandrake, patchouli, pine needles. I like to use thyme to make my money grow, and to keep it with me, and sassafras to control my spending as well.

The original poster talks about it being in the wick of the candle. I do not know what the purpose of this is. However, I was talking about marking it off into portions.

My lover and I are in a rift, not sure really the situation and don't want to go into a whole lot of details.
However, a Love Me candle went out... I relit and then poured out some of the wax. Is pouring out the wax cheating?
LM had a Love Me Candle set too a few weeks ago that they had to relight but they said it isn't always the work... I am watching to see how it burns NOW. Thoughts?

Re: Candles: How to Trim Carve Load Petition Pray Dress Arrange Light
Well, I would definitely get a reading on this situation to see what is going on. There is something going on when two candles go out towards the same goal. If it were just one candle, I would tell you to simply light another candle, and see if the same thing happens. This has happened twice to you so I would definitely recommend a reading.
Pouring out the some of the wax is not cheating per se however it is altering the candle divination if you are into telling how the spell is going based on how the candle is burning. I would recommend to you that you get some divination done, and do some uncrossing work for your relationship in the mean time. Sounds like love me products may not be what you need, and there is more that needs to be addressed that are not being addressed through love me work.

I have read on here where someone will pour out the excess melted wax if it is affecting the burn. I am new and just learning, I read ALOT on here. lol I am hoping to soon enter Miss Cats course so I can really learn..
Re: Candles: How to Trim Carve Load Petition Pray Dress Arrange Light
I had a reading Friday with Miss Cat and she said he does love me. I am well aware of what the issues are right now-- I deliberately didn't give much information here so don't know how you can conclude what is needed or not. I really just wanted to know about the candle wax.... if it goes out again I will call the shop. I thought I had also seen somewhere something about pouring out melted wax, too.

Re: Candles: How to Trim Carve Load Petition Pray Dress Arrange Light
Personally, I pour out the wax in some of my candles too, but I was saying if you are into reading the candle (i.e. low flame vs high flame, etc) then that might affect how you would read the candle. I did not say pouring out the wax was a bad idea. It just might affect how you would read a candle. In addition, you said the candle went out twice, both at the shop and when you did it, I was drawing from that information that love me products may not be what you need. He may love you but perhaps he may be hurt from a past relationship which he might need healing products, or he may be scared which might call for a courage spell. Thats not saying he does not love you, however if there is something from preventing him from fully loving you then that might be an issue. If the candle goes out again, or if you light out another candle, and it goes out, then consulting with the shop would be a great idea as you said. I would definitely consider that as a sign.
However, if you had a reading, and you are aware of the issues, then that is great.

Re: Candles: How to Trim Carve Load Petition Pray Dress Arrange Light
Thanks for the clarification... I think it's important to keep the candle going but wanted to make sure I wasn't cheating as it hasn't happened to me with a LM candle before (I've had it happen with wicca candles in the past)... the one a few weeks ago had to be relit a few times...I'm thinking it probably means the situation is in some respects similar.
Yes, healing and courage are good ideas too. I have a healing candle, a few actually... which leads me to another question.
can you petition a candle to work for more than one goal? a sick friend AND a lover? I'm thinking probably not but thought I'd check.

No you cannot use the same candle that is intended for one goal, or target for another person or goal.
The following paragraphs are taken from catherine yronwode's "Hoodoo in Theory and Practice" pages at the Lucky Mojo webiste regarding candle magic signs:

Although this may not apply to you, I would just relight a similar candle in the future to back up the work that you have done regarding the love me aspect."The candle goes out before completely burning
If your light was lit for simple increase or decrease without respect to the will of another being (more wealth, less illness, etc.) then this is may be considered a bad sign -- a negative reply from the world of spirit to the question implied in the work.
If the candle was set in open opposition to the will of another person (e.g. a coercive love spell, an antagonistic spell, etc.) then this sign may either be a negative reply from the world of spirit to the question implied in the work or it may be a message from the other person, implying resistance, blockage, reversal of your designs, or sending harm back onto you or your client. Such a dousing of your lights may indicate that someone very strong is working against you or against the person on whose behalf you are setting the lights.
In any case, if the light goes out, you will have to relight it. Do so with a prayer.
If the light goes out or is put out a second time, this a sign that you may need to use stronger means than you first employed to reach the goal. Try relighting it again, with a stronger prayer.
If it goes out a third time, you may try to splint the wick (that is, re-wick the candle) and pray over it very intently before relighting it, and you may also wish to consider adding a second "helper" or "back-up" light on the altar.
If no amount of effort on your part enables the candle to burn, and the helper light goes out three times as well, you should consider the need to start the entire job over from the beginning. "

Its ok to pour out a bit of the candle wax. Don't be afraid to give your work a helping hand sometimes. If you want maybe light some helper candles around your Love Me candle to help smooth some difficulties. They don't have to be vigils just small birthday candles or the 4" LM candles will work fine. A Road Opener, Reconciliation, and Come to Me may help support the Love Me conjure. I'd put these in a triangle around your vigil light. Good luck.

Thanks, ConjureMan, always so helpful and supportive!
I suspect the wicks on the Love Me candles may be a little short...
what do you mean about the triangle, a triangle of other vigils? (road opener etc.)? I don't have them. I could though light some red candles or birthday candles. Dressed with Come to Me or other love oils? don't think I have Road Opener oil or Reconciliation Oil, do have Return to Me, Love Me and some others. I think I will get some Road Opener Oil in my next batch.
It is burning next to a protection candle which is next to the honey jar. I have the darker candles in another place now. It's funny, I didn't used to do that but it just feels natural now. Evolving!

Yes, I can picture it, of course! but I don't have those two vigil candles so wasn't sure what he was suggesting.

In the posts I said they didn't have to be vigils. You can use birthday candles or the LM 4" candles, tapers, or whatever you have on hand. Simply anoint with the oils of your choice and burn along with your vigil as helpers.

So ppl,
1.) does that mean when my order from LM arrives for a fixed Reconciliation Vigil Candle I need to clean the glass too? If so, can I use my own urine even though it also involves another person?
2.) I am also getting a pennis candle to use on the person I am trying to reconcile with, can I use my own urine to clean that?

1) No you do not need to cleanse the candle of a fixed vigil jar.
2) I would get some rubbing alcohol, florida water, or ammonia from the store.

Re: Candles: How to Trim Carve Load Petition Pray Dress Arrange Light
I've received candles that weren't perfectly even - the wax were higher on the glass than the actual wick so I surmise they melted and became warped during shipping. Because of this, I'm not too surprised when the flame extinguishes, so I either use a long spoon to scoop out excess wax or pour it into a bowl lined with wax paper or aluminum foil.freegirl wrote: However, a Love Me candle went out... I relit and then poured out some of the wax. Is pouring out the wax cheating?
Once the flame is burning steadily, I'd re-add the wax a little bit at a time throughout the burn so nothing is wasted.
I wouldn't call it cheating to pour out wax, but I personally consider it important to either re-add the wax or dispose of the excess wax respectfully since it has been blessed and is part of your spell.

Re: Candles: How to Trim Carve Load Petition Pray Dress Arrange Light
I pour out wax that is going to smother a candle wick and make it go out all the time. It may affect your ultimate read of the vigil light, but I burn hundreds of vigil lights and can tell you that 9 times out of 10 the wax that runs off the side of the candle will melt as the candle continues to burn and the effect on the reading is negligible. Then there is that 1 time when it really effects the reading, but I would rather deal with that during my interpretation than have the entire light go out. Something that this process of having to pour out wax symbolizes to me is that the client may have too many types of work going on the situation, they may be putting too much energy into it, they are creating an "overflow" type situation that is actually hindering them, that's one of the patterns I have seen when it comes to this type of situation.freegirl wrote:My lover and I are in a rift, not sure really the situation and don't want to go into a whole lot of details.

LM had a Love Me Candle set too a few weeks ago that they had to relight but they said it isn't always the work... I am watching to see how it burns NOW. Thoughts?
good luck,

That is very very helpful Miss Bri, and much appreciated. It is burning so well now after the two pojur-outs that I feel optimistic, and it makes good sense for it to have had some obstacles at the beginning.

Hi
I received my attraction candle along with my road opening candle I lit both candles but my attraction candle will not stay lit. I have lit the candle so many times and it keeps going out. It looked like it was too much wax and it was covering the wick too much. So I took some wax out but it is still doing the same thing. What is the problem. My road opening candle is burning just fine.

I would do some cleansing work - and then wait until your Road Opener is finished before attempting to relight it. Then you may need to pour a bit of wax out. This is called working with the candle.

Re: Candles: How to Trim Carve Load Petition Pray Dress Arrange Light
Hi all,
I bought a fixed LM psychic vision candle a while ago and had it waiting for the right time to use it. A few days ago I got a reading and it was suggested I burn the candle, well silly me I was so excited to finally have a purpose in mind to use this candle for, I just lit it and said a little prayer.
I didn't think of *how* to use it properly - like put a petition paper underneath - or think about the schedule of burning.
I burned it for two intervals that day, but had to leave, so I snuffed it out. Then I worked the last two nights and its been sitting on my dresser all alone.
So here is my question - Can I put a petition under it now, or is it too late? Can I restart my burning with a schedule.. to attempt to burn it as much as possible each day?
Also, is burning a candle to petition a Saint the same way? Try to keep it burning till the end - but if you can't keep it burning snuff it out, as long as you light it with the prayer every day?
Thanks everyone!!

What you did was fine. However, if you want to put a petition under the candle that is fine as long as its for the same intent, and your purpose for the candle didn't change. For example if you started a come to me candle to bring you closer to john, you cannot use that same candle to bring you closer to jack in the future. If you want to burn it on schedule...yes you can still do so.
For a saint, you need to research and do a search on the forum how people work with various saints. But most people burn the a saint candle on the day that particular saint is worshipped. If you do not know the day, then default to sunday. You can burn the candle once a week and then burn it out...burning it each week or over a number of days until it has gone out.

Re: Candles: How to Trim Carve Load Petition Pray Dress Arrange Light
Hello again, this time my question revolves around the sectioning of candles for burning over a period of time.
With glass encased candles, I'm a little confused, are they burned non stop? I'm sure many are already aware that of course you cannot section off a candle directly when encased, but can you mark the glass with the same method of pins/needles to burn for another time?
Thanks!

Yes, glass encased are generally meant to be burned straight through.
Most candles that are sectioned are more of the taper or altar candle variety.
It would be hard to work in a sectioned manner with glass encased as they burn very slowly. For instance if you sectioned a glass encased candle into 7 sections, each section would need about 17ish hours to burn. However, some people do snuff and relight glass vigil lights over a period of time. It's up to you how you wish to work.
For spell work, I would not *personally* snuff and relight, or section glass encased candles. I do however use some as guardian candles for when I do work, and those get lit while I work, then snuffed until I'm ready to work again - then I pray as I relight them. They last a very long time when using them in that manner.
