Spells to Find an Ideal Animal Companion or Connect with Spirit Animals

Here's an article on a Chihuahua puppy mill with a rather odd side-note
about folks placing the dogs on the their tables for good luck while
playing bingo. (!!!)

From the Chicago Tribune--

`There were piles and piles of dogs'
Constant yapping hounded neighbors-- then police found 71 Chihuahuas
in a raid on a Wheeling home

By Kayce T. Ataiyero, Tribune staff reporter. Tribune staff reporters
Michael Higgins, Richard Wronski and Scott Goldstein and freelance
writer Mark Shuman contributed to this report
Published August 19, 2005

Some of the dogs--very small dogs--peered over the tops of boxes
scattered about the bedroom of the Wheeling town home. Others were
clustered behind the toilet, about 35 pairs of scared little eyes
peeking from behind the porcelain.

In all, 72 dogs--71 Chihuahuas and a lone papillon--were rescued
Wednesday evening from the home that animal shelter officials
described Thursday as an illegal puppy mill.

"There were piles and piles of dogs," said Laura Krauch, manager of
the Heartland Animal Shelter in Northbrook. "I looked behind the
toilet and almost died."

Wheeling police raided the two-story town home in the 800 block of
Chelsea Drive around 6 p.m. Wednesday, making their way up a rotting
wooden staircase and knocking down a bedroom door on the second floor
to confront a woman who had locked herself in with some of the dogs,
authorities said.

All of the animals were in good health, and officials offered a silver
lining to a story that began when neighbors complained about the smell
and constant barking.

Most of the dogs, which range from newborn pups to 8 years old,
probably will be adopted, and calls from Chihuahua lovers were already
pouring in to the shelter.

When asked how popular the pint-size dogs are, Krauch said, "People
love Chihuahuas. You can take them to bingo and put them on the table
for good luck. I've seen . . . that."

No charges were filed Thursday against the occupants of the home,
where a condemnation notice with bright red lettering was posted on
the front door, officials said. It was a family of three people, a
woman and her two adult children, said Cmdr. Jim Kuzynowski of the
Wheeling Police Department, who declined to release their names.

Village ordinance restricts residents to four dogs per household, and
all dogs must be licensed. A charge of cruelty to animals could be
filed, Kuzynowski said.

One of the family members was previously cited for having too many
dogs and pleaded guilty, he said.

Shelter workers said the dogs were for sale, apparently the sole
source of income for the family.

An animal welfare officer from the state Department of Agriculture
said the residents had no license to breed and sell animals or to
kennel them, according to department representative Chris Herbert.

During the tense confrontation, police had to break down the bedroom
door when the woman refused to come out and release the dogs,
authorities said. A man believed to be her son doused himself with
lighter fluid and had to be restrained by police, officials said.

"He says if you take my dogs, I'm going to kill myself," Krauch said.

The house appeared to be well-kept, at least on the outside, with
"nice siding, nice paint," said Hannah Arbizzani, the shelter's
executive director.

But when the workers went inside, a suffocating stench of urine wafted
over them and they had to don face masks, Arbizzani said.

Dogs were everywhere in the two-bedroom home. "They had the run of the
place," she said.

Dragging out dog crates, the workers discovered that one of the
animals had just given birth to some pups.

Another dog, a 10-week-old pup a rescue worker nicknamed Binky,
cowered in the corner, not wanting to socialize with the others.

The tight clusters of Chihuahuas were sprayed with carbon dioxide to
help separate them. They were scooped into cat carriers, counted and
taken to the shelter.

Police said 70 dogs were rescued, but shelter officials put the number
at 72 after counting and recounting the squirming pups.

Arbizzani said she believed the residents were raising the dogs for
sale, probably getting customers over the Internet or through
advertisements, for $300 a dog.

"They were breeders," she said. "They weren't hoarding."

Maurice Lazama, 37, a neighbor, said his wife called police, the
Wheeling Health Department and the homeowners association several
times over the last few months to complain about the noise and smell
coming from the home. But when authorities went to the door, no one
would answer, he said.

During the standoff Wednesday, police evacuated the adjoining
townhouses after the man stood by an upstairs window with lighter
fluid, he said.

When Lazama returned to his home, the dogs were lined up in cardboard
boxes and crates outside the townhouse, he said. Some boxes had three
to five dogs, including some puppies.

The people who lived in the town home "were just reclusive," another
neighbor said. "We see them walking in with cases and cases of dog
food."

Al Carver, who runs a Chihuahua rescue service in Palos Heights, said
he thought the dogs would be adopted quickly.

At any given time, he has a waiting list of 30 to 40 people who want
to give one of the small dogs a good home, he said.

"It is a loving dog," Carver said of the Mexican breed. "I have three
of them myself."

Thursday afternoon, the dogs were being fed at the Heartland shelter,
where they were getting a little chill time to adjust to their new
surroundings and recover from the trauma.

Aside from a minor skin condition, the dogs are in general good
health, said Lauren Olsberg, manager of Preiser Animal Hospital next
to the shelter. All of them will need shots and nail trims, she said.

"Just basic care," Olsberg said. "They are very sweet."

Despite the number of dogs, Olsberg said the shelter is optimistic
that homes could be found.

"Small dogs go very fast," she said.

Not fast enough, perhaps.

Wednesday night, a new litter of three pups was born.

The Heartland Animal Shelter can be reached at 847-296-6400.

I may have mentioned this before,
but I've heard from three different
sources (from widely different geographic
areas) about Chihuahuas being given to
asthmatic children in order to cure
them. The children are allowed to
completely bond with the dogs, to the point
of allowing them to sleep together. The
dogs either take on the condition or are
some sort of a conduit for healing;
in any event, my ex-husband's little
brother (now 6'5" and in his 40s) was
cured of his asthma in this way. His
mother, who was a folk healer who lived in
San Bruno for a little while before the
family moved back to Germany, bought
the Chihuahua specifically for this purpose,
and the family attributed the
change in the boy's condition to the dog.

Interesting! When I was young...growing up outside Winchester Va., my mother always made sure we had Chihuahuas to take our asthma out of us and pull it into themselves. I swear, as long as we had one... we did well, but the poor little dog wheezed all the time. My aunts did the same thing. I have no idea where they got this from though.

Spells to Find an Ideal Animal Companion or Connect with Spirit Animals

Unread post by Pink kisses » Fri Feb 04, 2011 8:03 am

Us there such a spell to get something, such as a dog?

A couple of months ago, one of my dogs died. I am finally at a point where I'm ready to get another dog (so the living one has a 'buddy'). There is a specific kind of dog I want. Most websites that I go on (rescues/adoption) don't have this particular dog (all/mostly white pit bull puppy) & a friend of mine just had some, but I didn't contact him right away because I thought you had to wait like 2 months before selling puppies. Well he sold them within a month.

I wouldn't mind getting an older dog, but I know the dog I have now would take better to a younger dog, than an older dog.

I would write down a few characteristics you would like in a dog, and then go actively looking for the dog. Good luck to you, and I hope you get a great dog.

Hey Pink Kisses, this is kind of outside the realm of "hoodoo" as far as advice goes... I know you have a very specific dog in mind, and I hope you have luck in finding what you're looking for, but before you settle on a pup just for looks make sure it comes from healthy parents. Also, make sure that its litter mates are healthy and active, too. If the breeder doesn't want you to see the other puppies, see where the pups are being kept, or meet the parents take that as a sign something could be off with the situation and look elsewhere for a dog. Getting a dog that's exactly what you want is important but making sure it's a healthy, well treated animal is even more important. You want this animal to be a part of your family and you don't want to bring in an animal that will only cause trouble and unrest with it's problems and issues.

Best of luck finding a healthy, happy puppy!

Looking for A Great Companion Animal

Unread post by sun369 » Mon Feb 27, 2012 10:58 am

Hi,

I am looking for a great companion animal. It can be any type of animal, a dog, a cat, a rat, a rabbit, etc....What oils should I use for ?

Not sure if this will work or not, but I ask my spirit guides and guardian angels and talk to the fairies to bring the best animal that suits me into my life now. If so, what oils should I use ?

Thanks

You could use Attraction to draw an appropriate animal into your life.
If you want to ask your spirit guides for help, then Spirit Guide is a good oil to blend in.
If you want to petition a saint, then St. Francis of Assisi or St. Martin de Porres would both be good choices.

St. Francis supplies sound like just the thing for you. You could also combine them with Attraction -- and Money House Blessing for good measure, so your new pet settles in comfortable and you have no trouble caring for its needs.

Hope this helps,

I can't say what's right for you. that depends on a lot of things.

but I've kept rats over 20 years, if you want any advice, feel free to give me a shout.

the main and most important thing is that they are highly social animals (this is what makes them such great pets. they form strong social bonds with people too, like dogs do) but as a result, MUST be kept in pairs or groups. they can develop a lot of health or behavioural problems when deprived of the company of their own kind.

but they are also sweet, gentle, tame, loving, affectionate and playful. they even tame rats as medical alert pets.

if you've not kept rats before, a pair of males are usually easiest to deal with. they tend to have a more "lap rat" personality, whearas the females are very active and inquisitive and into everything. they're harder work but very fun.

Convince parents to let me keep the kitten?

Unread post by EmmieB » Wed Feb 27, 2013 2:32 pm

Hello,
I was just curious, i'm not sure if i want to do this yet but i was just curious as to how to convince my parents to let me keep the black stray kitten I found outside in the snow this weekend. I will keep some of the cats fur, since I am taking it to the humane society today but I hope I can make the kitten come back to me again somehow or at least somehow convince my parents to keep the kitten with some oil but how do you do that?
Hope that makes sense...

Thanks

Give the kitten a name. TAKE PHOTOS OF THE KITTEN.

Put your parents names (both of them) in a bowl of sugar with some of the kitten's hair and the name of the kitten and a photo of the kitten and the name of the humane society and any person you speak with there. Make sure it is a "no kill" facility so that the kitten will not be killed.

Pray for your parents to become sweet to the kitten and to allow the kitten back into the home and stir the sugar as you pray for this.

Call the Humane Society once every day to ask about the kitten BY NAME and tell them you will call again tomorrow. Make the calls brief and cheerful-- and tell your parents that you are making these calls every day. Stir the sugar with your finger while you are on the phone, praying for your parents to become sweet and loving to the kitten.

Post your prayer to the Crystal Silence League:

http://crystalsilenceleague.org

Post your prayer on Facebook. Get all your friends to share it. Show your parents the posts that your friends have shared and their comments. Upload pictures of the kitten to Facebook with each post. If you can visit the kitten at the Humane Society, DO IT. Take pictures with your cell phone. Upload them to Facebook.

Crying may also be useful. Parents hate to see their children cry. WHEN YOU CRY, ALWAYS REFER TO THE KITTEN BY NAME.

Spells to Find an Ideal Dog Companion

Unread post by Lady Croissant » Tue May 21, 2013 3:10 pm

Hi there:
I'm a newbie to Hoodoo and to the forum.

Looking for some guidance in finding the right dog for our family. Lost our beloved dog a few months ago, but we are ready for another. Would like to do some work to bring in a good match. Start with a brown candle with the characteristics we want written on it, may be some road opener oil ... And?

Kindly,

Lady Croissant

I am dropping in with an effective something to share. I don't know whether to call it a spell or a petition. You may decide.

When my dog Cindy died, I cut some hair from her neck and put it into a small cloth bag, along with her photo and a print of her paw. On the back of the photo I wrote, "Cindy, ever faithful and true, guide me to find one as loyal as you."

I then went to the animal shelter and asked to see the dogs, and I let each dog smell the cloth bag. One of them jumped up and tried to lick my face so I took her home. She doesn't look like Cindy, but she is "Cindy-Approved." Her name is Maddie. It was the name she came with, and she seems to want to keep it, so that's who she is.

I put the bag with Cindy's artifacts in a wood box, with her old collar and tags. It rests on my altar. Maddie has nosed it a few times, as if saying "Hello" to Cindy.

I hope this is of use to someone. It was an intuitive spell, not something I learned.
