Dear Dr. Kioni,

Where are the Rootwork Hour Archives?

I would like to burn them onto CD so I can listen to the shows away from the computer.

How do I download them, and what progranm works for this?

I have Realplayer -- will that work?

The work that you and Cat are doing is wonderful, Dr, Kioni. I am so
thankful for finding this course and all that goes with it!

(I am going to let Dr. K. answer this one. :-) --cat)

I have tried everything to get these shows to play through my computer. I even downloaded a podcast receiver. I have windows XP. I am ready to give up. Anyone else still having this problem?

(Have you been able to use your podcast receiver for OTHER podcasts but not these shows -- or is it not working for you AT ALL? If the latter, try to get local help from someone who knows about how to install and operate ipod technology. I can hear the podcast shows on my computer -- a Macintosh. My daughter can hear them on her ipod (the hand-held device, not her computer). So they ARE there. You just need to get hooked up to them. --cat)

Ok, I will answer, but please use the search feature of this forum to
locate this information. I have posted recently about it.

The progams will stream in your browser, simply click and play. If you
hear no sounds, check your speakers. Also, close your browser and
reopen again.

I am running into a download issue that I didn't anticipate. So for
now, unless you have a recording progam like Total Recorder, you will
not be able to record and burn CDs.

The problem is two fold:

1) Streaming the programs is using triple the bandwidth. That amounts
to additional usage at $1.00 per 1 GB. In addition to the bandwidth
issue, I just became aware that there is no way to download the
programs from the audio blog. However if you use iTunes, you can
download the programs and burn your CDs.

2) I may have to charge a small access and download fee to cover the cost.

Happy Hoodooing!

I have not tried other podcast shows. I only downloaded it for the rootwork shows. I do not have a Macintosh computer or an ipod. Could be why I can't hear the shows.

(Any operating system can run the pod software, even though it was originated by Apple. You donlt need a Macintosh machine. I simply mentioned my experiences as a typical user and gave my equiment type and that of my daughter as examples. I suggest you find someone local who can help you wih software installation and use. --cat)

This is the best and most appropriate place to post about difficulties
with iTunes and podcasting and get help from other people using this
technology:

It is a great resource.
