I have been trying to listen to live for quite some time and for
whatever reason, the Positive Vibes station is the only one at Loud
City that will not play for me! I have tried going through their tech
support and support message boards but no one can seem to figure out
the problem. Does anyone else have this problem or have any
suggestions? I'm so frustrated not being able to listen in!

Hi,

I've researched here under "Mac" and "Mac users", etc., in order to
learn how to access The Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Radio Hour, to no
avail. I've tried every player listed on Dr. Kioni's site. I got it
downloaded to iTunes, but it will not play!!

Any Mac users out there who can guide me on how I can listen with my Mac?

Hi Kendis,

I had the same problem with my Mac � what I did, following a recommendation
of one of the group members, is to download a free version of VLC player. To
listen to the show, download a PLS file and play it through VLC.

Fran, I wasn't able to get on last night either. very strange. Thank
goodness for the archives! I listen to them often. I am eagerly
awaiting the transcripts for the Business and Money show as well. I
learn so much from these wonderful shows! I am in awe over how skilled
and creative our great teachers cat and Dr. K are. Just goes to show
what can be accomplished by someone who has been doing the work for as
long as they have. it is the difference between eating a cake baked in
Home ec class and eating a cake cooked by a world class chef!!

I have successfully used the VLC player on my Mac (navigating to Dr Kioni's Positive Vibes radio broadcast using the Firefox browser) to tune in to the HRH radio broadcast (although sadly, I missed tonight's broadcast):http://www.videolan.org/vlc/First, open the VLC player, then use your browser to navigate to Dr Kioni's Positive Vibes radio station. Near the top of the page there shold be a row of icons under the heading: 'Launch one of your players'. Click the first icon, which should open a dialog box asking which application you wish to use to open the .asx file (the audio stream for the broadcast) --select the VLC player, and that should start the audio stream. Thank you to Edward, Dr. Kioni and Nadezda for your helpful advice. I
was able to access and hear the music on Dr. Kioni's site today by
using all of your suggestions about VLC! Hopefully I'll be able to
successfully tune in to the LMHRH from now on!

I've pretty much given up trying to listen in real time, but I'm right
on it as soon as the shows go up online! I listen at work, which
definitely helps the day go by faster! I'm working on purchasing all of
the old ones. As soon as I get them all I want to burn them and make my
own personal box set. I downloaded two more this morning!
