Actually I discovered the radio station computer was not online after
the LMHRH was over. I think my ISP had problems somewhere here in the
neighborhood. I've reset my router and network three times in the past
two weeks. BTW, I replaced the hard drive on the radio station
computer last weekend. The problem that was driving me crazy earlier
this season appears to be eliminated finally.

Well, I have gotta go do the juju -hoodoo that I do. cat, a client
you referred is here from Canada. In fact when you and I spoke last
night we were headed to dinner on the beach. We removed three muerto -
dark spirits and a genie off her yesterday. Most of the work I am
doing with her is Palo because of the seriousness of her case. We are
dealing with powerful dark Egyptian - Syrian sorcery. Two black frizzy
roosters were used in the work. Today I will make a powerful
congo-roots protection mojo for her. The mojo will combine roots,
barks, resins and herbs from hoodoo, Palo and traditional African
sorcery. ~ Dr. Kioni ~ DrKioni.com ~

Dear Dr. K

The mixture of traditions you say you use to deal with this case sounds very interresting.
However I am very curious to know why you think the hoodoo way isn't effective enough
because of the seriousness of the case(?)

In what way do you think Palo is more powerful to cope with Egyptian- Syrian sorcery?

Benedikte thank you for this excellent question. During a crisis in my
life a few years ago, Palo rescued me. cat remembers when she, Queen
Mabulla, Dara Anslowar and Dr. Eoghan Ballard came to my aide.
Divination revealed that a rooster was to be given to Sarabanda on my
behalf and Dr. Ballard made a makutu (amulet) in the traditional Congo
way and sent it to me. The attack was twarted, my enemies scattered
and I was called & initiated into Palo Muertero Brama con Brama as a
Tata Nganga.

I realized that a powerful system of magic like hoodoo may not always
be the appropriate response to other forms of aggressive dark magic.
One must fight fire with fire.

The Hermetic Creed states: "As Above So Below". In the mundane world
we use detergents for a variety of cleaning task. While dish washing
detergent is great for lifting light grease from plates, pots and
pans, it is not powerful enough to remove oil stains on the driveway.
So one would use a commercial grade concrete cleaner to remove the oil
stains on the driveway. It is in this way that I determine which
system of magic is best utilized when working with a client. More
often than not, hoodoo rider spells accompany the work for the
client anyway. But to each his own. ~ Dr. Kioni ~ www.CongoRoots.com

(I would like to go on record as saying "to each his or her own" and "your mileage may vary" -- and that i hope Dr. Kioni is not making a metaphor comparing hoodoo to light detergent and Congo folk magic to commercial grade concrete cleaner. I do not condone or endorse the idea that the system of folk magic embedded within any one religion is inherently "stronger" than the systems of folk magic that accompany, are embedded within, or culturally co-exist with other religions. --cat)

I read where Dr. K spoke about removing a genie from someone. That was new to me, I have never heard of them before. What are they and how would they harm a person? Where would a person invoke one and why? I must say I learn something new every day.

(Acording to Islamic belief, a Genie, Genii, Jinn, Jinni, Djinn, or Djinni is a spirit that was created from fire and hot wind (in the same way that a human being is conceived as being created from clay or mud). The race of djinnis was created before mankind. Djinns have free will, like people, and they can marry, have children, keep pets, and even die. Some djinns are good; some are bad. Some follow the religion of Islam; others do not. They have homes, usually in the wilderness and in old ruins, but when in close proximity with human beings, they prefer to live in graveyards, bathrooms, and outhouses. They are not ordinarily visible to humans unless they take on a form such as a black dog, but animals -- especially donkeys -- can see them even when they are in their invisible form. Read more about djinns here:
http://www.islamawareness.net/Jinn
--where you will learn that one of the worst djinns is the Qareen, a "comrade"-demon who is "permanently assigned to each person during his/her life whose job is to seduce human beings." At that site you will also learn that ridding oneself of a Qareen involves reciting certain Islamic prayers. --cat)

My own (again, just mine) instincts
and experiences have indicated at least three elements
are at work in situations like this.

1. Various currents/systems are attuned
to each other in different ways. Not that one is
"stronger" than another, but they are different
tools for different situations. A hammer can
drive in a screw, but a screwdriver works better
and the screw will not be damaged and
will "hold" better. A hammer is suited best for
a nail, true, but a rock can work just as well;
but oddly a screwdriver isn't so good for
pounding in a nail. A hammer is not the equal of
a rock, nor is it "stronger" than a screwdriver;
they are made best for different things, but
in a pinch, sometimes one can address a situation
better than another.

2. The spirits of a place (and a time, "office"
etc.) often have a strong influence that must
be accounted for; the old "genius loci" idea.
If your people have an age-old covenant of
some sort with the spirits of the place you do
your work in, so much the better.

3. Finally, God trumps all. Isaiah 55:8-9 (King
James Version): "For my thoughts are not
your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,
saith the LORD. For as the heavens are
higher than the earth, so are my ways higher
than your ways, and my thoughts than your
thoughts." As expressed in his hymn, William
Cowper said:

"God moves in a mysterious way
his wonders to perform;
He plants his footsteps in the sea,
and rides upon the storm.

Deep in unfathomable mines
of never failing skill,
He treasures up his bright designs
and works his sovereign will.

You fearful saints, fresh courage take;
the clouds you so much dread
Are big with mercy and shall break
in blessings on your head.

His purposes will ripen fast,
unfolding every hour;
The bud may have a bitter taste,
but sweet will be the flower.

Blind unbelief is sure to err
and scan his work in vain:
God is his own interpreter,
and he will make it plain. "
