Hi I made a honey jar for a friend of mine and it seemed to be working. But tonight he blocked me! I put our pictures in the jar but I made the mistake of adding my hair in with the jar. I'm considering making another honey jar and disposing of the old one. What herbs should I add to the new jar? I want him to love me and have the feelings that he used to have for me when we first started talking.

Hello bluedragon,

I don't think it was a mistake that you added your own hair to the honey jar. In fact, that's what you're supposed to do when you're trying to sweeten someone toward you, put theirs and your hair in their together. I don't think you need to start another jar. Hello all,

I made a honey jar almost a month ago (last full moon). It is S L O W L Y sweetening my ex boyfriend (aka it has made us a lot more civil with each other), which I would say is a major improvement. However, I did write the petition paper in black ink since I did not have access to a red pen. Would that one detail be motive to create another honey jar?

Hello all,

I've been working on my reconciliation honey jar for almost a month now and I'm thinking of adding another petition paper.

The original one was a picture I printed out of the two of us (a selfie) and filled with appropriate herbs and such. But as I was folding the petition paper with the herbs inside the paper ripped a bit. I didn't think too much of it at the time, but now I'm thinking It might be safe to add another one just in case. If I make another petition paper should I add herbs to it or not bother? Also should I add it into the jar along with the other original petition or should i have my honey jar sitting on top of the new petition instead (with out herbs of course).

I know that there's probably no right or wrong way to do this but I thought I might as well ask.

Hi, I did a honey jar to find a new love - someone I asked specifically to be my perfect husband. The second day I burned a pink candle on top of it, the candle burned through the lid (plastic...) and it was good I saw it because it was starting to burn the honey and the paper in it. The first night I did the exact same candle burning and nothing happened, the candle extinguished on top of the lid without any harm. What can that mean? Am I jinxed by the new wife of my ex husband? Thanks for any advice!

You should NOT be using a plastic lid

It needs to be a metal lid.

Hi everyone, I haven't used my honey jar for about 3-4 months would I be able to pick up where I left off or start all over and make a new one? Also I like to heat it up on the stove and then place my candle and pray over it is that appropriate?

Jeh1123, When I heat my honey jars, I use a wax tart warmer, the kind you can take the wax bowl off of & set a jar candle on the heat plate if you want to. If you use the stove, people usually heat the jars in a pan of water. Which I'm probably sure you're doing, but I thought I would clarify for any new readers.

Hi! I'm new to this forum and just completed my first sugar jar.

I have two concerns, firstly I didn't realise I shouldn't blow out the candle. Have I completely ruined the spell or can I continue praying on the jar if I deal with the candle correctly from now on?

Also I didn't have much brown sugar on hand so it's probably 1/4 of sugar if that. Will this suffice? Is it a definite no no to open it? I have good items in their and would hate to have to dismantle it.

Hello, cultstatus,

First, well, it is considered the "end" to a spell to blow out the candle, so just start a new one. Now you know.

Second, yes, you can open the container and add more sugar. A sweet jar is eomething that most people use on an ongoing basis, keeping everything within it edible, and using it to cook with, to sweetenen someone. If you cannot feed them, lighting a candle on the jar at least radiates the spell out into the world.

I have never seen something like this before. What can that mean? I've begun my first honey jar to return a lover who left me for another woman. I currently have a breakup candle being burned for me to end their relationship. For my honey jar, I used an old envelope to a letter he sent me. I figured it had both his handwriting and saliva on it. I obviously included my petition written in a circle around out names done in crisscross and included some rosemary, cinnamon, and rose petals. I used a pink birthday candlr dressed in oil (I don't feel comfortable leaving a huge candle unattended so I wanted something to burn quickly) any further advice for me? I really want to be successful. Anything I should look out for? The candle sputtered a few times during my burn.

Thanks Miss Aida and AlyssaH! That's a great suggestion btw I've been placing it in a pan of water but I always wondered if I was doing this correctly. I heat my jar everytime I'm about to light a candle on it and I leave the wax remains on the jar and some are tears which touch the water and I sometimes see some melt into the water? Do I leave it as it is?

Personally, I don't like birthday candles. I like the 4 inch candles which burn for 1 & 1/2 hours. You can inscribe them, put petition papers under them, and dress them.

Hi all,
I started my very first honey jar yesterday. My case is difficult but it's not hopeless (I'm doing positive thinking). He left me back in January for another woman. Multiple readers told me the relationship will fail and he will return. Anyway, I used cinnamon, rose petals, rosemary, the petition, and an envelope from a letter he sent me (contains his handwriting, both of our names, and presumably his saliva). I used dressed pink birthday candles so I don't have to leave the candles unattended. I'm determined to get this to work. Any of you with successful honey hard have advice for me? How long do they take? I also have a "break up" candle burning for him and the other woman.

Hello Candygurl15,

Good job with your jar. I would use 4" chime candles instead of birthday candles, and they last only about an hour and a half. This is preferable to birthday candles, which emit rather puny energy. You want your petition carried to spirit with more gusto than that.

As for how much time honey jars take to start seeing signs or manifestation, only spirit can answer that. Honey jars are traditionally slow to start but they can be very effective so keep working it. You can also read through the pages in this thread for other ideas and outcomes from others on the forum.

If you're also working a break up jar, I suggest you work that at nights during a waning moon (when we work to get rid of things), and work your honey jar in the morning during a waxing moon (to draw good things to you).

You want to add any and all names of the people you are trying to "sweeten," as well as the name of the person you're wanting to sweeten them toward. So if you're trying to sweeten your legal counsel, the judge and other key individuals to you, put them all in the jar along with your name. How long should you utilize a honey jar before giving up? I know that unfortunately there are truly hopeless situations that no number of prayers or honey jars will remedy. Is there a number of weeks you should work and if nothing happens by then, it never will? If so, what do you do with the jar?

Sometimes, honey jars (as well as all spells) can takes months to work.

I personally suggest working honey jars for at least 6 months and see if there's any changes in the target's behavior. If there is, then keep it indefinitely.

If you really don't want to work it anymore but still have hope, you could bury it in your front yard.

Hi guys! Something weird has happened. You see, 18 days ago my girlfriend broke up with me, so I decided to make a Honey Jar. 3 days after making the honey jar I started to have really intense feelings of love and happiness towards my ex and constantly saw "signs" refering to my ex. 2 days ago I opened up my honey jar because I needed/wanted to put some personal concerns, and guess what? Those intense feelings went away! Is this normal? Did I ruined it?

Hello all, ok so I made a honey jar to sweeten my ex to me last yr..i also made a vinegar jar to sour the relationship between my ex and his new woman (the new woman passed away a few wks ago). Here's my question..being as though I stopped working the honey jar for many months now, can I go back to working it to sweeten my ex back to me? I'm almost certain that my daughter saw my honey jar..so do I discard the remains correctly and start another honey jar? Another question is how do I correctly discard it? Thanks for the help

I thought about burying it in my dogs grave .. over her heart .. with the top of the jar not covered and burn candles on top like that..to give it extra strength..a lot of talk about using graveyard dirt of someone/something that truly loved you.. and no one truly loved me like this dog .. her love was unconditional.. please advise me on what I should do .. thank you..

Hi Betterhalf38,

If you want to continue working your jar, you can. If the honey has solidified, run the jar under warm water until the honey loosens up again. Then proceed with lighting candles on it.

If you bury it, you are deploying it and entrusting your petition to Spirit. Only you can decide if you want to continue working it or if you're ready to deploy. Once in the ground, you would not work candles on it. Start a new one.

And your dog's grave would be a nice spot for deployment if you so choose.

Good morning,

Just two quick questions. I had planned on burning candles on top of my honey jar for 9 days straight but I missed one of those days, do I restart the 9 day count or can I burn the remaining four day candles? Also, once the nine days have ended is that when I begin looking for the signs within 3 days or do the signs begin to appear once you've made the jar and burnt your first candle? Thank you!

Hello JAD82017,

People burn candles on top of their honey jars according to their personal preference. Traditional ways of lighting candles include every Friday (since that's a good day for love work), or every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, or every day. Or they just light them whenever need calls. So it's what you think works best for your situation. If you missed a day in a nine-day count, just continue burning the candles, and maybe add one more day at the end.

You can start looking for signs at any time. There is no rule that says signs will come within three days, as you can read by this post from Miss Cat:

fly flew into the candle flame on my honey jar!?!
I was in the middle of praying my petition aloud for my "love" honey jar that I have been working for five years with great success. I had two candles going one pink and one white. The pink dressed in stay with me, and fire of love. The white dressed with healing and stay with me. I was just saying that may he be devoted to me and only me, sharing his love with no one else and then this random fly in my apartment flew to its death, right into the two flames but closer to the white candle. I tried to move it aside because at first glance it was quite sad. But does anyone have any divinations from this occurrence? This clearly has never happened to me before.

When flies appear, they are usually signs of a message. However, when they fly into a flame as yours did, it may indicate spiritual interference in your work. I suggest you get a reading to determine why this happened and if you need to take steps to counter it. You can find reputable readers here:

I've had my honey jar about three weeks now. I lit a candle on top of it the first 11 days. I have it just sitting there because I don't want to obsess over it or anything like that BUT I've seen no movement

The city he lives in keeps popping up everywhere, I'm seeing his spirit animal (it's not really, it's just his favorite) on occasion like people with tattoos of it or someone wearing a shirt with it (it's a penguin) but nothing from him. Instead it seems like he's growing more distant. A few people on the online dating site I joined with his name but I'm sure that's normal, it's a popular name. His family occasionally comments on my post telling me how proud of me they are. I had a dream about his mom the other night (I've never met her, only his grandparents and brother) in the dream she was telling me he missed me. It was weird. I don't want to give up but I'm feeling defeated. Thanks for listening.

I have been working a honey jar to sweeten my SO. We took a break about 5 weeks ago and I have been working it on M,W,F. I followed the instructions on the LM site (light corn syrup with petition paper with our names in red ink crossed, our hairs, I dress candles with oils). I have a couple questions about the jar.

Up until last Wednesday, my candles would burn all the way down leaving little to no wax at the end of the burn. They burned clean, no smoke or anything. Last Wednesday, was the first time there was wax left over and since then there has been wax after every burn. Does this mean it's starting to work or is this a negative sign? I was also working a skull candle in conjunction with the honey jar.

Secondly, should I be burning a candle everyday instead of M,W,F?

I'm sorry you are feeling discouraged, but that dream to me sounded like a positive sign. Don't give up! Spells take time to work. Try to keep a good attitude, and if you want to step up the work more, you can light candles on it every day for a while and see if that moves things along.

I read through all the candle signs, but I was just curious if it was a bad sign that it was burning clean with little to no residue but then has lately been leaving some wax behind. I had good signs from the skull candles and was feeling so good about the honey jar because they were leaving very little wax but now I don't know what to think because I thought the honey jar would get stronger the longer you work them. Should I start a new jar?

No, you don't need to start a new jar. You may be getting messages in the wax remains so study them for signs. I have a couple questions regarding two honey jars I am currently working.

The first one was set up in early 2016 when I was going through a difficult court situation. I created the jar to sweeten the Judge and help me gain full custody of my children. I have worked this honey jar for over a year and a half! I am happy to report that my situation ended favorably for me and my kids and I know the honey jar spell worked!

I am still in court, under the same court case number and with the same Judge, but we have now moved to financial matters. My ex refuses to pay court ordered expenses. He and his lawyer have been stalling on coming to a settlement for child support. I know that my ex is not telling the truth about his finances and is trying to avoid paying any money to me, even if it’s for his children. I currently have a hearing set on a contempt charge for his refusal to pay and my lawyer is pushing to get the child support order entered and secure payment. (I have had full custody for almost two years now and he has paid a fraction of what he owes.)

My questions:
1) Should I stop working my current court case honey jar and start a new one? My instinct is to say no because it has been working and I have the same Judge. Are there any suggestions for changing my prayer or how to re-word my petition to be more specific towards payment of expenses and awarding child support and the Judge seeing my ex’s financial deceit?

2) Can I (or should I) add Compelling Oil to dress the candle in addition to the Court Case dressing oil?

I also have a “Pay Me” honey jar spell going to try and get my ex to pay the money that is owed. I’m not sure how to work a “pay me” honey jar spell. Do I carve only his name in my green candle? Do I need to use a coffin nail or can I use my athame? I dress the candle in “Pay Me” and “Compelling” oil. What is the best prayer and petition to help secure child support and the owed money?

Do you have any other suggestions for a court case and child support situation like this?
