If you want to dominate another person, I'd go with either a purple vigil or jumbo candle, to represent your strength and mastery over the situation.

Or, you can get a male or female red figural candle of the person you want to dominate, carve their name on it and dress it with the Domination oil and state your petition.

Purple is good for dominating. It is the colour of the oil and the colour of the foil used on our other Domination products.

It seems to me that the context of Domination oil is for domination over other humans. Black Arts oil (or a combination of Black Arts with Domination) might be better suited for domination of spirits.

If I were to take this route, using a red fugure candle and writing the person's name on it, should I anoint the candle in an upwards or downwards motion? I'd rather make sure I do the dominating instead of give that person dominion over me, hence the question. I supposed the same would be applied to the purple taper candle as well?

Yes this is actually a dyslexic type question, to put a name on it. I'm aware that to increase, or bring something to you, you dress the candle up from the bottom; while decrease or repelling away one would dress the candle from the top down.

My concern is: Beings that the name of the person I wish to dominate is on the candle, would dressing that candle up from the bottom give him the dominion? since the candle represents him, and the upward motion represents 'coming to'. Perhaps I'm seeing too much into it, my mind has a type of dyslexic thought process at times. Or should I dress a candle representative of myself with the oil and use something else for his representative? I tried looking for spell advice in the oil description but couldn't find anything relating to something like this.

I'm usually pretty good catching on to Metaphysical concepts since I've been practicing various magickal traditions since 2003, albeit this is my first foray into Hoodoo. Unfortunately, I sometimes have 'brain farts' when certain details like this arise.

This one is confusing because there's actually some dissention on how to dress candles. Dressing from the top down to decrease and from the bottom up to draw is disagreed upon - some using the opposite directions to draw and repel respectively. You can also dress in both directions from the middle of the candle out toward its extremities. And all of the methods have worked for someone.

So in short, go with what feel right (or logical) to you, and see what you get the best results with. Ultimately, the proof will be in the pudding.

I am quite aware of disagreement with candle dressing methods, even in Wicca, and non-Wiccan Witchcraft, there are differing opinions on how to do this; nearly as man as their are tradition. Keeping in your vein of thought, I feel that it would be enough and proper to write the person's name on the candle, and dress it upward to gain dominion of the person, while verbally and clearly stating that as I anoint this representation of him, so too shall my dominion cover over him. I think that should do the trick. Any thoughts from the community?

When I look in the 2 dictionaries I have at home (Webster’s & American Heritage Dictionaries), both state that the words ‘dominating’ and ‘controlling’ are synonyms for each other, that these 2 words mean almost the same thing as each other. This makes it hard for me to know when I should use Domination Oil & when I should use Controlling Oil. I know the name of the Hoodoo Condition Oil usually describes its purpose but, when the definitions of the 2 words are almost the same, it makes it hard for someone like me, who is still learning about Hoodoo, to know when to use 1 or the other of these 2 oils. I do know the basic differences between the other oils used for similar coercive purposes, but these 2 oils are so close in meaning that I can’t tell when someone should use 1 or the other.

Could someone who has knowledge about using these 2 oils give an example of a situation where someone would use Domination Oil & not use Controlling Oil? And then an example of a situation where someone would use Controlling Oil & not use Domination Oil? I think this is probably the best way for someone like me to understand the difference between these 2 oils.

I will probably order 1 of these oils from Lucky Mojo but, first I must know what the difference is between them, so I know which 1 to buy.

Both oils are of the same ''family'' if you will - so it's not surprising that the use of one vs. the other is a bit confusing! Some practitionners only use Domination, some only use Controlling. Some want the subtle differences between the two and while thus use both depending on the case.

Controlling is specific for affecting someone's thoughts or actions. It works well in skull candle and doll-baby work, or as contact magic in the work world or with in-laws or recalcitrant family members. It's more coercive than Influence, but with the same type of intention.

Domination is similar to controlling, but with a bit more of a ''bulldozer over any resistance'' and ''you make damn well sure you stay within your limits''. It keeps people in their place (according to your will and intention) and can be used to gain the upper hand in any situation where leadership or competition is an aspect (in conjunction with other formulas).

So in the land of concrete examples:

Controlling:
1 - Combined with Pay Me (and maybe Court Case) in a honey jar or candle spell to get child support or insurance benefits
2 - Combined with Master and King Solomon Wisdom to lead a work team where you have a specific idea of the outcome desired and do not wish to encourage open thought and/or dissention from the group members
3 - Combined with Cast Off Evil and Clarity to help overcome a bad habit or remove a bad influence

Domination:
1 - Combined with Peaceful Home and Peace Water when in-laws that regularly start fights and drama during family get-togethers are coming to visit.
2 - Combined with Court Case during an appeal to a verdict.
3 - Combined with Crown of Success and Victory during a semi-final or final sports game or competition.
4 - Combined with I Can You Can't and Look Me Over in a modeling or acting audition.

Can dominating oils be used on a dominant man? He is not submissive in any way. He is extremely stubborn and strong minded, its impossible to change his mind when he has it set. Well pretty darn close to impossible, that is.

What's the order of intensity? Is it influencing, compelling, commanding, and dominating?

The reason i am asking about dominating is because follow me boy is a domination oil right? And women seem to have success with that.

Is it immoral to use domination oil? Should i try compelling before i try going up a knotch? Sorry just feeling frustrated and upset. I thought my influencing work was going well but i don't think so. My ex was being nicer to me and has been. He was even texting me yesterday and he never writes me, though not sure if it was just because he was pitying me or something. today we got in a fight i caused unintentionally and then he basically said he just let me come over because he would have felt bad cause it was Easter. so that just hurt and made me feel like my work hasn't helped at all. Like i said, he is strong minded.

Your order of intensity with the oils is correct.

You can use Domination oil on him but I recommend the Essence of Bend Over product line. This will allow you to bend his dominating thoughts to become more like your.

And thank you! I have been using a skull candle for the last few nights. The ones i got are soo tiny that they burn maybe only 5 hrs. I had 3 of them and now am on my second. i have just been burning it when he sleeps,for about an hour because i don't want to use up the candle so fast.

All magic bends a person to your will so if that is your hang up then realize it all is. If I do a job spell to get a job, that means I influence others and prevent someone else so I get it.. that is bending peoples will. Skull candles are great when a person sleeps. burn it and talk to it like you are him. another trick is to puff cigar smoke into the face of the skull as you command it.. tobacco is known for communication so it would get the message to him. When doing a skull talk like you are him so its his thoughts, "I love jane doe" I miss Jane doe"

And okay i will buy a cigar then. I do have to be careful though as i live in an apartment and i dont want anyone smelling the smoke as i would get kicked out for smoking in the building, even if its just a puff or two.

Do i use the cigar before i light the candle or after its lit or both?

Do you have a bathroom with a vent use it in their to suck it up, or use it in a room with a fan blowing outward , or do it outside. I would like the candle first and speak to him then take the cigar and puff the smoke into the face and talk to it. Yes always talk like you are him since the skull is to influence his thoughts so you want it to be like he is thinking it. Carve the petition across the head of it as well so its on his mind.
