How to Use Petition Papers and Name Papers Questions and Answers
Re: How to Use Petition Papers and Name Papers Questions and Answers
Hi, I was in a gay relationship with a guy for 2 years that ended in the beginning of January. He has some insecurities about me and trust issues cause of his past relationships that affected our relationship even though I never cheated on him.
He is very stubborn to the fact if he is upset or pissed at someone for something small and if that person calls him or say hello... he will literally look at the phone ignore the call or ignore the person if they say hello to him. Like I said he is VERY stubborn even if its the smallest thing not to be upset or hold a grudge over.
Since the breakup, I haven't saw nor heard from him. I have tried to reach out to communicate with him. I texted him in January, called and texted in February and he hasn't responded nor contacted me at all.
Since the full moon is coming close on April 11, I wanted to take advantage of it. Since I'm waiting on my LM products that I just ordered an AIRR reader suggested for me to have MISC to burn a Return To Me Vigil Candle and a Reconciliation Candle for me and perhaps maybe add a BlockBuster Candle, Influence Candle, Love Me Candle or Healing Candle I'm not sure.
I have his full name, birthdate and the only thing I have of his a picture of him and a picture of both of us in between a horse and my questions are?
Far as the candles of Reconciliation and Return To Me do you think another vigil candle should be added to it like one of the one's I suggested above? If so, what you suggest?
And how should I petition each candle for concerning his stubbornness, for him to reach out and communicate with me, forgive and reconcile with me and return to me for us to be a couple again?

Re: How to Use Petition Papers and Name Papers Questions and Answers
I understand that his stubbornness is a central problem here, but if these were my candles to write petitions for, I would down play that. I would try something like:
"May [Name] find a way to open his heart to loving acceptance and return to the close relationship we once shared."
In other words, rather than do an "anti-stubborn" petition, I would do a "pro-acceptance" petition.

Re: How to Use Petition Papers and Name Papers Questions and Answers
Hello everyone,
I am a bit confused how to pray and to make a petition for the candles I light at home. I am burning a red candle now for the target to contact me, to want to see me and be in a relationship with me that will be full of love, sex, passion, etc. I am either doing something wrong but I've burned numerous candles on numerous different men and I have yet to have one result. I have zero results from anything I ever do. So I am thinking perhaps Im doing something wrong. I pray over the candle and state my intent clearly and let the candle burn. I've done different kind of candles, small, big, skull, etc. I order all of my stuff on lucky mojo website. Its strange that none of them work on anyone which makes me think that Im doing something incorrectly. Please help. Maybe someone can tell me how they do it and what to say over the candle. I don't know...any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hello RussianWitch81 ,
I hope this helps you with how to write your petitions : post371076.html?hilit=petitions#p371076.
I can't really say why your spells aren't working , have you considered getting a reading ? Also it might be a good idea to cleanse , so that your obstacles are removed and any negative energy that might be in the way of your spells manifesting.
Try having a Blockbuster candle lit too , the petition could be something like : "Remove all obstacles that are preventing ( your targets name) from contacting RussianWitch81."You want to do it in baby steps , like contact spells first , then spells to draw him in ect. But also bare in mind its mercury retrograde , that can mess up communication between people .
And it might just be that you have to wait a bit longer , normally if you forget about the spell it manifests when you least expect it.
I hope this helps you.
Take care and good luck with your spells.

Re: How to Use Petition Papers and Name Papers Questions and Answers
want to create a remote exorcism spell and I was
Wondering if you could use an address in the place of a name because the spirits haunt the home need to be taken care of.
I want to write the address and encircle it with st Benedict's prayer for exorcism with a picture of the
House under the candle fixed with exorcism herbs.
Thoughts on this?
Or should I put "negative invited entity"?
I have had a reading from miss Aida and
She said this entity is the biggest issue I face
And I can not step foot on the property to have
An actual exorcism.
If there is any knowledge for remote exorcism
I would appreciate the direction
Anything helps
thank you

Hello, SonofJupiter89,
I don't know who you are by your forum name.
But, I personally don't believe in "remote" exorcisms. So, I would NEVER have suggested this to you
I have been in actual exorcisms and they are tedious, time consuming (sometimes takes days upon days), gruesome, emotionally challenging, hurtful, and sometimes physically painful. It takes STRENGTH and perseverance, and faith to get rid of an entity like this. And I could go on. It's a battle of their wits against ours and they have many centuries of experience.
So, a card with herbs and prayers, in my opinion, ain't gonna do it. Sure would be nice if it were that easy!
Tae care

Re: How to Use Petition Papers and Name Papers Questions and Answers
Miss Aida thankfully I am Buddhist and am unattached
To suffering.
My name is Keith the Taurus with a girlfriend
Who had a father who saw me as The Devil.
You had advised a seal of Solomon and I took that
As the Third Seal of Jupiter for protection from
Spiritual Entity.
Anyways I have crafted a six pointed star of candles
Aimed at this bastard including St Michael and I have yet to see movement
So I am invoking St Benedict and his glorious energy
And prayer in hopes of weakening the stupid demon.

Re: How to Use Petition Papers and Name Papers Questions and Answers
Forgive me if this is not the right place to ask but it's important
Are there any buddhist practitioners here? I'm a buddhist myself and practicing hoodoo but I don't know how to baptize or chant to magically activate or baptize petition papers and other magical ingredients.
I tried to find some mantras or chants but I can't find any. Can i use christian chants such as in the name of father and holy...i bless this petition paper.... ? or make up my own? I would appreciate if anyone can help me with this.

You may want to look at Buddhist forums but please don't ask about Buddhist chants here..
Also, please read the many many pages here on petition papers. There's a lot of information here.

pardon me miss Aida and thanks for answering my question
Re: How to Use Petition Papers and Name Papers Questions and Answers
Break up petition question
When writing a petition for a break up how should I write both names as well as folding the paper when I use a candle spell? Should I put down the guy first then turn the paper 90 degrees and cross it with the womens name? Or do I just write the guys name and then the womens name underneath? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you for your help.

Renee987 --
There are dozens of methods and no "shoulds."
I personally would not cross their names if i wanted them them to break up -- crossing their names ties them together.
I suggest you read the book i wrote, "Paper in My Shoe," for a whole lot of detailed information on WHY we make petitions in certain forms rather than just asking for a "should" for one instance of one situation.

Thank you I will read the book. I had another question. I did the break up spell when they werent a couple but close friends that liked eachother. I had crossed her name over his name three times and then written my incantation around in a circle. Then after about a week later they was together in a relationship and i was blocked from him. What happened and what can i do to make it so they actuslly break up this time?

I am doing a petition to bring two ex lovers together with a man and women face to face candle. I was wondering if i should place the petition underneath the candle or under the candle plate. Or should I put it between the girl and guy? Can i use more than one oil on the candle and petiion papers? Thank you

Re: How to Use Petition Papers and Name Papers Questions and Answers
Hello.....
I'm curious and a little confused about the urine aspect of spell work and name papers. I saw the post at the top of the person speaking of urinating on the petition paper and burying it in the ground based on Miss Cats book... My question is "can urine be used in LOVE SPELLS"? Someone i know said that you can use your own urine, your love interests picture and a name petition paper with sugar to bring someone back to you,but then i did some research online and saw other comments where people said urine is only used to send people away or sour their life
I'm super confused now....Please shed some light on this for me please. Which is accurate?
Sincerely,
I want my baby back
Thanx In Advance

Hi Kuntrygirl90,
The thing about the Internet is that you will find a ton of information out there, much of which is questionable at best.
I don't know where you've read that urine is only used for cursing work, nor does it matter here. We follow the African-American hoodoo tradition in which your urine can be used to draw things to you - including love.
Please read through this page that miss cat wrote on the use of personal concerns in rootwork. It will clear things up for you, I hope:

Good luck.

Re: How to Use Petition Papers and Name Papers Questions and Answers
So I just got a fixed prosperity bottle spell from lucky mojo and I'd like to add a petition paper to it, but I'm not quite sure how to word it. I want to ask for a specific amount of money for myself and the person I live with. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Re: How to Use Petition Papers and Name Papers Questions and Answers
Hi DreadPirateQueen,
You can word your petition to ask for that specific amount of money or to ask for "enough money to cover the financial needs of (You) and (Person you live with)" or words to that effect. Write both of your names nine times, turn the paper clockwise and cover your names with your petition nine times. You can add dollar signs (or your local currency) in each of the four corners. That should work.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

Re: How to Use Petition Papers and Name Papers Questions and Answers
Hi all,
I am eagerly awaiting for my copy of 'paper in my shoe' to arrive. In the meantime, I was wondering how much power does a triple refined name paper made with quassia bark hold in comparison to personal effects? Would it be comparable to hair?
Thanks for any info.

Hi Blackcoffee,
Personal concerns directly obtained from your target are always going to be your strongest link to that person.
Some rootworkers consider Quassia Root as an acceptable surrogate for a target's hair. This is from the product description page:
If the hair cannot be had, get a piece of the lover’s Clothing, cut it up, mix it with QUASSIA CHIPS, burn this mixture to ashes, and moisten the ash with Controlling or Commanding Oil to use in the place of the hair.
http://www.herbmagic.com/quassia-chips.html
You can try that approach and see if it works for you, but I would still do my best to get personal concerns.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

Re: How to Use Petition Papers and Name Papers Questions and Answers
Good evening,
Would it be possible to mix all these together in hot water, put it in a spray bottle and then spray my targets clothes & the inside of his car & even the inside of his ball cap with it? Do I state my intent like "draw Jon Doe closer to me" as I mix the bath salts and then while I'm spraying his items say psalms 23? I've never worked with bath salts and honestly I haven't read up on them much but I have a three day trip coming up with my target in about a month so I want to use those three days to my advantage. I have a honey jar going, I'm going to attempt some baked goodies for the drive/trip & I'm looking into satchel powders as well. Thank you

Re: How to Use Petition Papers and Name Papers Questions and Answers
Hello all,
Mine is sort of a two part question I guess. But first an explanation to understand the qustion I guess.
I am doing a spell with influence oil to will a person to crave/do something and constantly think of that so much so they will eventually want to leave this place and explore their cravings elsewhere.
So my question then is, could or should I use a rusty nail to carve their name in the base of the candle with?
And I had read on here somewhere about two different ways to do a petition paper, by tearing it or cutting it into a triangle. I'm wondering which I should do. And had also seen on here Cat had mention writing the intended's name in pencil and the command over it in black ink pen. So I'm wondering if that would be a good idea?
Thanks so much for any answers. Very much appreciated

Hello Lmuser05,
Yes you can use implements like nails to carve into candles.
You can cut it or tear it, whatever you feel like best suits your spell. And if miss cat gave that advice about the pencil and pen, you can definitely follow it.
If you want to learn even more about petition papers, miss cat's book "Paper in My Shoe" is excellent:

Take care.

Re: How to Use Petition Papers and Name Papers Questions and Answers
Hello all,
I had forgot to ask a question the other day about this variation that Cat had mentioned early in the forum.
When should I erase the penciled name? After I'm done when the candle has burned down all that it can like on the 7th day? Or before I start the spell and place the petition under the candle?
And this person is divorced and has been for years now but still uses her married name only sometimes when it benefits her or she can get something from it. So should I use the cumulative form of the name that way it covers any form she may use?
Thank you so much your time and help
I had forgot to ask a question the other day about this variation that Cat had mentioned early in the forum.
So my questions are:And here's another variation: To get someone out of your life, write their name 3, 7, or 9 times in pencil, then cross over it the same number of times with your command in black ink, such as "Leave Town!" and then ERASE their pencilled names.
People also have asked me "which version" of a name to use, especially in the case of a married woman.
In the case of a married woman:
The full birth name is: first-name, middle-name, maiden-surname.
The full current legal name is: first-name, middle-name, married-surname.
The cumulative full name is: first-name, middle-name, maiden-surname, married-surname.
When should I erase the penciled name? After I'm done when the candle has burned down all that it can like on the 7th day? Or before I start the spell and place the petition under the candle?

Re: How to Use Petition Papers and Name Papers Questions and Answers
When writing an intended person's name in pencil and crossing it with commands in black ink for a petition, when would the name in pencil be erased? I'm guessing it would be after the whole thing is done? Or the last day of candle burning maybe? Just wanted to be sure.
Sorry in advance for upsetting anyone, messing things up, posting wrong. This will probly be my last posting for a while just waiting on my Lm purchase and want to make sure I have things prepared properly.
Please and thank you ma'am or sir for your time and efforts.

Hi Lmuser05,
I have not done a petition where I've erased a person's name, but you would want to erase it after the work is completed.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

Re: How to Use Petition Papers and Name Papers Questions and Answers
Hi,
My father in law just got out of the hospital. I want to do a healing and blessing Candle spell for him. How can I write my petition paper? Is it enough to write his name and birth and also dust it with blessing powder, herbs? Or should I write the wish under his name or in a circle around his name??? Thank you so much.

Hello, Moonlightdream ,
You would write his name and then cross it with the command
Please read this thread from the beginning as you'll find the answers here on this thread
I hope that your father-in-law has a speedy recovery

Re: How to Use Petition Papers and Name Papers Questions and Answers
Apologies if this is in the wrong section,
I have all your books Miss Cat, in one of them (I can't recall which or the page because I've trimmed out all of the spells and articles I like and scrapbooked them for easier access) there is a spell with a yellow candle for success and vitality. I wanted to do this for both of my parents. The best picture I have (which I'm drawn to) of them is together. I don't want to chop the picture of each of them as I don't want to split them in any way, but I also don't want to put too much pressure on the spell for 2 people. If I light 2 candles and use the same (one) picture with a dish over it with 2 separate petition papers would that be alright?/get the job done?
Thank you for your help in advance!

Hello, Shutter ,
You can use the one picture with a candle.
That is not a problem. It won't put pressure on the spell as long as they are a couple who lives together.
And how wonderful that you are doing this for your parents.
Wishing your parents GREAT successs

Hello!
I just received the book Paper in my shoe and devoured it!! Really amazing!1
I love working with petition papers and candles. I'm gonna perform a work for someone very dear to me to get a job in a specific place. Is it ok to use Dragon Blood Ink to draw powerful symbols in the petition paper? I find a bit difficult to understand where to use Dragon blood ink.

Hello Rootwork_1987,
Instead of dressing the petition paper with Dragon's Blood Ink like you would with, say, a condition oil, just write out your petition with the ink, using a feather quill, like the ones sold here:
http://www.luckymojo.com/mojocattools.html#pens
Hope that helps!

Re: How to Use Petition Papers and Name Papers Questions and Answers
I burnt a letter of intent for a Forget Me Not candle spell at the end before the candle complete burnt out after reading from a different post. Did I mess up the spell and if I did, can it be redone?
Re: How to Use Petition Papers and Name Papers Questions and Answers
I've read Cat's "Paper in my Shoe" and I've since been trying out putting petition papers inside my shoes, but the paper ends up torn and fading to nothing by the second day of wearing it/stepping on it.
After a paper has torn itself up/started to dissolve in your shoe, do you throw the pieces of paper away and write a replacement petition paper, or just throw the torn up paper away and consider the spell finished, or just leave the torn up paper in your shoe until the intention of the paper manifests (ie the spell comes true)?
Thanks in advance!

1. Does a petition have to be used with a candle?
2. What is the purpose of using a candle anyway?
3. Would it make sense to write my petition in the same color that the candle would be instead?

Dear apngaa,
Here are my answers to your questions:
1. No -- and you can read many petition paper spells without candles here:
BOO-GRI-PIMS
Paper in My Shoe by catherine yronwode
$12.00

You can order right here in the Forum by clicking on the blue Add To Cart button.
2. The purpose of magic is to bring about change in accordance with one's will. There is a form of folk magic called candle magic. Folk magic often (but not always) employs material objects to assist in the effort of will. Such objects may include oils, perfumes, powders, incense, candles, personal concerns, bottles, jars, bags, minerals, herbs, roots, and figurative items. Rerad more about candle magic here:
BOO-GRI-AHCM
The Art of Hoodoo Candle Magic by catherine yronwode and Mikhail Strabo
$12.00

You can order right here in the Forum by clicking on the blue Add To Cart button.
3. No. White ink on white paper does not equal a regular petition paper under a white candle.

Re: How to Use Petition Papers and Name Papers Questions and Answers
I was wondering how would I word a petition paper to dominate my son's mothers. I have a sweeten up jar and a reconciliation jar working. But we still tend to have issues from the past that I have caused. I have made major changes which she acknowledges when she isn't mad at me. Once she is mad its point fingers and use the past to justify everything. I got an essence of bend over spell kit in the mail today and I want to do it right. So we can get past this. I did a tarot reading myself and from what I gather it ends up good if I get this spell right. I'm also new at tarot but from what I gather it's good. I can show the pic of the reading to anyone that would like to offer insight. But please help me get this petition right. I would like her to admit her parts of the problems so we can both apologize and move forward. I have apologized for my end already. I just need that extra umph to keep us moving forward if any of this makes sense. Thank you

Re: How to Use Petition Papers and Name Papers Questions and Answers
Greetings,
I have a quick question around petition writing. I wrote a petition, and what I asked for, I realize does not exist. Basically, it's a car, but the year is not available. This specific car was discontinued in 2011, but I still want one. I petitioned for a 2012. Any tips on what I should do to correct this issue without necessarily disturbing my candle?

Remake your petition. You know, it's like ordering a grilled cheese sandwich at a restaurant and they say they're out of cheese. Ya gotta order something else. That's life -- both in a restaurant and in magic!
Good luck!
