I'll add my thanks as well. I don't always say thank you to replies to my posts simply because I don't want to create more work for the moderators by having to go to the only new post in a thread that has nothing more to say than 'thank you'. Everyone's input is greatly appreciated though and this forum is an wonderful rich source of information.

I agree THANK YOU FOR THIS FORUM!

But, I have a question. I know I used to post in 2010.. where you had so many moderators like Miss Tammie, Starsinthesky, Conjureman Ali, Miss Bri, Joseph Magnuson and Miss Cat that posted frequently through the day and recently I got back on the forum and noticed a lot of them aren't posting anymore. Where is everyone? I hope they are ok.

I nice to see Devi, and the new moderators Miss Aida and Sister Jean posting giving advice its much appreciated.

I recently came back to the forum and although i didnt get any spell kits this time.. I have ordered a few candles and curios, 5 incenses, 5 sachet powders, over 24 herbs and over 30 oils. I ordered some things that I need now and some other things that I might need to use in the future... cause you never know. On a good note, if there is something that I need in the future I will least have majority of the things and it saves the time of ordering and waiting for it to arrive. I'm putting out there that I will have great results and success when I get a hold of using my Lucky Mojo products, so I can post a success story too of my own.

Besides... reading the success of testimonials of the products.. I'm sure Lucky Mojo might be selling that stuff so fast... Miss Cat might be at that shop door shouting out Last Call...LOL

Thank you... Lucky Mojo, thank you moderators for your taking time out your day to give us advice and suggestions to help us manifest our desires and thank you Miss Cat for creating this forum, assisting us and reviving hoodoo to us which most of us probably never knew existed.

I hope as you all are reading this.. that you have great love, prosperity and success in your life.

Hello, Forum Family Members,

I will be at the 2017 Hoodoo Heritage Festival in California (as most of you know, I live in Michigan)

While I am gone, our own NATSTEIN will be in charge of all forum matters.

If you have any problems, contact him through Private Message. BUT do NOT contact him for free magical coaching via Private messaging. That is what the forum is for.

I pray that health, wealth and happiness is bestowed to all of you

See you again next week

All My Love,
Aida

Thanks, all, for the kind words.

The Lucky Mojo Forum, online since December of 2008, has grown into a major resource for information, mutual aid, making friends, and sharing stories.

As we celebrate NINE YEARS, 220,750 posts, and 13,900 members in the Forum, we want to thank every single member who has participated -- and most especially all of the Moderators and Administrators who have worked here over the years.

Replying to people in a Forum is a simple act of community hospitality and kindness. It does nothing to build one's ego, make one appear tough and invincible, enrich one, or turn back the arrow of time which marks our lives.

In these troubled times -- and if you don't know what i mean by "troubled times," just look at the news or check out social media as it splinters into hate-driven national, political, racial, tribal, religious, and income-based groups -- it is a blessing to have a place where civility reigns (even if it is enforced by warnings) and where everyone is welcome to ask questions and receive replies.

Yes, our topic area is small, in the larger scheme of things. We are merely a customer service outreach forum for a home-based manufactory of hand-made spiritual supplies. But the love we have for folk magic and the ways in which we come together to share our knowledge are remarkable. There are not many places like the Lucky Mojo Forum on the internet.

THANK YOU, FORUM MODERATORS AND FORUM MEMBERS.

It just occurred to me today that although we list about 215 herbs in our catalogue, there are only Forum threads for a little more than 130. Starting today i will be slowly adding them all to the Forum, with a photo and an ordering button.

The same sort of lapse is also true of the Oils, Incense Powders, Sachet Powders, and Bath Crystals -- there are literally hundreds of products that do not have their own, illustrated, widget-equipped threads.

("What's a widget?" you ask. Well, in our own private data-base-speak, that is what nagasiva and i call the code snippet that fills the field in the database that automatically compiles the SKU, Title, Price, Image, Blue Add To Cart Button, and -- as of this week! -- the See Also URL.)

Yours for more widgetizing!

Good morning LMCC,
I have seen the flood reports and they include Forestville. How is the shop and church? Is everyone okay, I hope?

Thanks for asking. We are up on a hill and out of the flood zone, although less than a mile from the Russian River. Alas, two of our employees were flooded badly. Yose lost her car but got her trailer and belongings up to higher ground. Nicole saw her house go under five feet of water and lost a lot of possessions. She is staying at her daughter's house. There is a Go Fund Me Set up for Nicole here:

Any help would be appreciated.

The images on the news were heartbreaking. Thankfully everyone at Lucky Mojo is safe, which is the main thing. I sent a contribution to Nicole's GoFundMe and I hope it helps. Thank you for keeping us posted.

Catherine, you're welcome. Thanks for letting us know. I am very glad to hear LMCC is okay on higher ground. I agree with Miss Athena about the images on the news, they are quite daunting and hard to see. I am very sorry to hear of Yosie and Nicole's losses. I will hop over to the go fund me now. Blessings and please do stay safe.

Yose Witmus, who works in the shop and at the church, has checked in. She still cannot get back to work. Her car was submoerged as she and her husband were moving their trailer to higher ground -- and the trailer park is still a mess and no one is allowed back yet. She is staying at an airbnb that has opened its rooms to flood victims. Her two cats survived the flood and are being fed by kind people who are dropping off animal food at the trailer park.

There is a Go Fun Me for her here:

Siva and i just finished a wonderful and exciting three hours of interviews with Joe Flower and Harmony Breeze, a pair of film-makers who are working on a documentary about the hippies. They are on a pilgrimage to Woodstock and stopped by here to allow me some full-on rant time (LOL!) about ecology, bio-regionality, watershed districts, old-time music, and folk magic. I am sure that a minute and half of my interview will be included in their two-hour film. See:

We are sending out prayers for Miss Cat, Nagasiva and all of the Lucky Mojo staff and crew as they were evacuated from their homes and businesses due to the Kincade Fire in Northern California. Every one is safe thank the Lord, however we want to continue to pray for all of the families that their property will be protected and that when they return to their homes and businesses all will be well. White lights are in order as we are on one accord.

Blessings!

Yes, setting lights and sending prayers for the safety and well-being of our Northern California Lucky Mojo family is something we can all do. Collective prayer has power, so please join us in sending your petitions to Spirit that all (people, animals, property) will be safe.

Miss cat, nagasiva, the Lucky Mojo staff and animals have been evacuated from the area. The shop is closed until further notice, so please take this into account if you have recently placed orders.

Wonderful news...the evacuation notice has been lifted. Miss cat and nagasiva have returned home where fortunately there is no fire or wind damage. Still no electricity or cell phone service as yet. Please note that the Lucky Mojo Curio Company shop remains closed.

Let's all give thanks for this bit of happy news!

Thanks, all, for the good wishes.

We were in Kincade Fire Evacuation Zone 7, and yesterday our area was allowed to repopulate, but with no electricity, gas, or internet. Today we got electricity and internet service, and the restoration of gas service is promised for tomorrow or the next day.

We will be open tomorrow with limited staff, as some employees who live nearby are still under evacuation orders. No shipping will be possible, but we will make products to fill orders that have been waiting since we were evacuated.

Please do not phone the shop about your orders unless you have to -- we will have almost no staff to provide customer service until everyone returns.

We hope to get back to providing to normal service by the end of next week.

Prayers that PG&E will spare no expense to properly update the grids! Glad to hear that everyone is safe, starting to return to their homes, and that things will get back to normal'ish' soon.

Special BIG THANKS to Terra Rising, our amazing Forum Moderator, who drove a LONG WAY to come help us out while we are trying to get the shop back on track after 5 days of evacuations!

She just showed up and pitched right in, stocking the anointing oils, moving things from the barn to the shelves -- it was impressive! Her "real" job in logistics and her 20 years of military service impressed the hell out of me too. She's GOOD!

Thank you, Terra Rising! <3

We owe you a fancy dinner!

Hello, all --

I am sure that many folks have noticed that Rev. Ernest and i (with help from nagasiva) have been very busy at the Forum lately, creating a "canonical thread" -- a named topic thread -- for each of the products we make here in the shop.

We manufacture about 3,000 products and carry around 250 herbs and roots, in addition to a full line of traditional hoodoo shop products from other companies, like Colognes, Books, and Tarot Cards.

Our goal is to get EVERY LUCKY MOJO PRODUCT on the Forum, in its own thread, so you can shop conveniently at the Forum as well as on the web. We will make representative threads for groups of items we sell but do not manufacture (like Tarot Cards and Colognes).

We have been working on this huge task since August 2021, and when we finish the project, every single Oil, Perfume, Bath, Incense, Sachet Powder, Herb, Root, Spell Kit, Book, Mojo Hand, and Dressed Vigil Candle that we make will have its own "Questions and Answers" thread.

Having these canonical threads is a big plus for you. It means that you will be able to SHOP DIRECTLY FROM THE FORUM, because each product thread also contains a blue Add to Cart button, and you can build your shopping card order right here at the forum as you read about the products.

The product topic threads also contain a link to a web page where you can read or see more. If the link leads you to a 404 (non-existent) page or a textually blank page (picture but no text), PLEASE let us know in the appropriate canonical product thread so we can fix the problem.

It's a lot of work to build out the Forum in this way, but we are doing this for you, our customers, and we hope you like the results.

Good news is on the way for those who were set back when we had to discontinue the MISC Candle Ministry in August 2021, due to loss of staff and issues around finding replacement employees during the pandemic.

Look for an announcement in a few days.

If you love our candle ministry, you will have reason to be happy.

After a 4-month hiatus due to low staff numbers, we are pleased to announce that CANDLE SERVICES ARE BACK at Missionary Independent Spiritual Church. We are here to serve you -- and you can place your orders at http://candleministry.com -- Thanks for your patience, friends, and we are soooo glad to be back!

#candleservies #candlemagic #hoodoospells #spirituality #spiritualchurch #candleministry #conjurespells

It is a very old custom and tradition to order TWO candles -- one to be set on our altars and one for you to light at home. This is called "backing up the work." To take advantage of this service, order both candles and with each one, ask for a "set date" about two weeks after your order -- we will hold our candle until your candle has been delivered, and then we will both light the candles on the same day.

This page tells -- and shows -- you what we do:

HOW WE PREPARE, FIX, LIGHT, AND READ CANDLES FOR YOU AT CANDLEMINISTRY.COM

"Please Ring Bell for Assistance" at the Lucky Mojo Curio Co.

This is a bell we have not heard ringing since the start of the Covid pandemic, when we went to curbside pick-up (as well as our usual online shipping). But it won't be long now, we promise! We will announce the happy day that we reopen our shop to the public very soon.

Candles in darkness: Challenges never daunt us when candles go out on the altar at Missionary Independent Spiritual Church in Forestville, California. Even under duress, the work continues.

Difficult burns are handled responsibly; the candles are re-lit and prayed over appropriately to the clients' differing petitions. Order candles at CandleMinistry.com and we will do the work for you. (Photo by Leslie Lowell.)

Magical books and vigil candles in the Lucky Mojo Curio Co. shop in Forestville, California. We will be re-opening to walk-in customers on March 21st , 2022 -- masks and hand sanitizer provided at the door -- and because we are short-staffed, we request that large parties call ahead so we can prepare. We will be working on filling mail orders, and the shop is a very small space, so let us help you from behind the counter rather than follow you down the narrow aisles. We will be glad to see you after two long years, but if too many people show up during the first week (we know folks are eagerly calling the shop already), we may have to limit how many folks enter in at a time. Also, we are hiring! Photo by catherine yronwode.

Little Miss Dinosaur giving you “the eye.” Our new Golden Laced Sebright Bantam hen is actually very tame. But that look! “The name of this hen is Dinah, the name of this hen is Dinah, the name of this hen is Dinah, and not ‘But Deffinally’!”

Rescue Rooster! An absolutely regal Buff Orpington Rooster with a full-throated baritone crow and hackle feathers of gleaming gold is waiting for his forever home at Western Farm Center in Santa Rosa, California. He is too massively huge for my flock or I would have taken him home at once. He brings back fond memories of Buffy, a Buff Orpington hen I had during the 1990s. She was a gentle giant, and he has much the same air of power.
