Hello everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that the Crossing candle finished burning down yesterday. I thought that it would have continued burning as it would have been 7 days completion of the spell on Friday. I plan on going to a cemetery to throw the ladies footprints but I don't know what else to do now that the candle is finished. Am I suppose to be throwing the Crossing powder with the Hot Foot powder every day?

Thank You. My choices where I've chosen to lay down the powders has varied but they are in areas where the lady will come into contact with it eventually because it is laid on her walkway leading to the sidewalk and leading to my driveway where she steps on all the time. I've also laid it on the grass area directly behind her back yard fence. So who knows what will happen?

I also am also not sure what to do when I bring the mashed up footprint that I've made and burned on her to the cemetery tomorrow. It's in a jar- so do I need to break the jar on a tombstone or should I just bury it and leave it?

Hello Miss Aida,

Well yesterday when I went to throw the goofer dust with the Crossing Powder and Graveyard dirt it lightly blew back on me. I did end up putting it on my property where this woman walks on and steps over but there are remains of it as it is a light coloured powder. I am not worried about it being on my property because its for her, not meant for me. I sort of wish the powder was a little heavier so that it would not float away.

Do you think that I can mix the powder with the graveyard dirt and Crossing with some water?

Hello Miss Aida,

Yes I was using patterns when I lay all of the dust but it is very windy now. So I did go out today and I laid all of the dust right outside her door and in her dead garden. Then I went to the cemetery and I even brought some pink roses to lay in front of some grave and I threw the powders under the roses and walked away and didn't look back.

Sorry to be a bother but I have come to the end of this spell and I am doing the cleansing for it and I am pouring the Hyssop bath over my head as i recite the 51st Psalm but I'd like to know how many times will I be pouring and reciting this?

Hi Lovemydogs,

One bath would be sufficient. You can pour and recite as many times as you feel comfortable, or until you feel "cleansed". Personally, I have found that the darker the work, the longer the bath before I begin to feel absolved, but that's just me.

Hi everyone,

I know that cursing work can't "backfire" so to speak, but can the D.U.M.E vigils have nasty consequences if you yourself don't cleanse? My rootworker did some the other week and since then, I've had very strong powerful spiritual messages and "warnings". One being my boyfriend saying if I didn't sort myself out he would leave me (long story). In the petition, I asked for the couple to seperate then die horrible deaths. My partner spoke of suicide tonight. It's just all too much. I've asked my rootworker to stop the vigils immediately and I'm starting cleansing and protection tomorrow, plus some reconciliation work I did myself (worked well last time). I feel numb tonight, like I've had a warning from God himself that he is angry with me for wishing bad things on this couple. I want to ask for forgiveness tomorrow :,(

I'm sorry to hear this is all weighing on you. I think if you're doing the right thing by starting cleansing and protection work (make sure you do them in that order). Praying that a couple separate and then "die horrible deaths" is pretty damn heavy work; if it wasn't justified in the eyes of God, you could be feeling the heaviness of that sin. So, cleanse, protect, pray.

When doing the d.u.m.e ritual. In the beginning it says that a vinegar jar is optional. So I was going to exclude it.

But at the end of the ritual it say to deploy the pins in a vinegar jar?

is this a good enough reason to burn a dume candle?

this person has:

put my name online first and last, put personal information about me online, now i just scrolled through youtube and i've seen the person put my first and last name on youtube and i have not spoken to this person for 3 months no contact nothing to make this guy feel obliged to continue in this manner. i've done freezer spells, voodoo dolls i've buried his name everything you can think of skull candle spell everything and still nothing removes this man from my life.

hes even trying to verbally come at me and my family thats where hes gone too far is this a good enough reason to burn this candle and hopefully kill the perpetrator that's harassing me?

Hello all,
I recently had a DUME candle lit on my behalf and the results were positve. They did say that the candle cleared a third of the way down but that misfortune and despair would find my enemies. Has anyone that has worked with DUME noticed your enemies or targets grasp actually grow stronger? Like the opposite of your petition happened? Or did it just take time for you to see the reults of your prayers ? Thank you for replies and your help.

If your candle burning was very recent, I'd give it time to manifest and work. But I don't think you need to worry about this spell "backfiring" and giving more strength to your enemies, that's just not how it works.

Between hot footing , DUME and working with Santisma Muerte. I don't know how these two enemies are still standing. It's baffling to me. The only response I get from my candles is that im getting that which I ask for. So im sitting, waiting, wishing and sending out the vibe of justified revenge and mastery.

Hi everyone.

I've read through the thread and am able to answer the questions asked here. This person is a cancer to humanity and will do harm as long as he is alive. He's so bad two of his kids don't speak to him, he is directly or indirectly responsible for the death of three people (he is in law enforcement and has admitted to doing things a police officer should never do) and has tampered with me while I was in the hospital as well as after I was released. I am not angry nor do I have a doubt. Every single person on this planet will be better off when he is gone especially those who know him personally. In fact the only thing that has kept me from doing anything DUME is the fear of it coming back on me or my child.

I have read some things impacting the person doing DUME. Is there anyway to keep that from happening?

I presently live with this person. I know that when I am able to leave it will be better but I am not sure I can wait that long.

Hello All!

Can someone help me? And apologies if this is not posted in the correct area.

I purchased a DUME candle to be burned for me at the ministry and the report mentioned obstacles.

Later I created a few vinegar jars and purchased my own DUME candles to burn atop them at my altar.

With these candles I burned at home, the flames are dancing wildly with no draft from wind. The dancing flames haven't stopped since I started burning it and the room got unusually cold during my meditation. My regular altar candles flame around the DUME had no movement.

What could this mean?

LM forum is like my newspaper to me. I learn quite a bit here, still learning. And I come across this thread DUME, the abbreviation says it all. This spell is not to be taken lightly. Some of us need this, some don't. As for the questions I might ask myself:

Is it justifiable?

At some point in our lives we go through hell, somebody gives us hell. I don't know what they've been through to resort to DUME. I know in my heart, I will do this. Sometimes knowing that the person causing one so much grief is dead will give one closure, and possibly one will be able to move on.

Will it put food in my mouth?

Heck no, but I work for a living. She's not my responsibility, I'm not her responsibility. So it's fair game for me. Maybe it would bring food to the mouths of the people around this person, if she's insured.

Can I pull a trigger on this person?

If it's allowed and I don't have to go to prison, definitely YES!

I have dume black list candle and sprinkled hate oil and dominating oil and commanding oil.

How long does the candle burn for 7 days or 4 days?

Also I put the names on the candle in the list section but I did say no death just want their deepest fears to come to life and open the gates of hell.

Welcome to the forum! The candles usually burn anywhere from 4-6 days. Death is very much part of this spell. Death.Unto.My.Enemies (DUME).

I'm not sure if it will work the way you intend if you take out the very thing it is named for. A Destruction or Damnation candle would have been better suited for your goals.

Did you purchase this candle from Lucky Mojo? If you read the DUME webpage: https://www.luckymojo.com/dume.html you will find a few ways to work this spell along with how to cleanse and protect yourself afterwards. If you read this thread, it is mentions that this spell is about the same as pulling a trigger on someone. So it should be used after very careful thought.

There are plenty of products that can cause harm and not necessarily death; Damnation, Destruction, and Revenge to name a few. It's helpful to write out exactly what you want before hand and then read the description and choose the product that is the closest to your goal.

I can tell you, with 50 years of experience in this field, that DUME or D.U.M.E has always stood for "Death Unto My Enemies" -- and the Lucky Mojo Curio Co. DUME candle also contains a ruled set of lines for a Black List on the back.

As i see it, what you are proposing here -- to use a DUME candle to produce some kind of emotional reaction without harm -- is like shooting someone with a shotgun blast to the chest and then saying, "Aww, i just wanted to scare him." It doesn't wash with me.

I was also wondering when doing a DUME candle or any type of ritual involved in bringing death upon someone, I read on the LM page that personal concerns such as pictures of the person or anything that was their stuff, really makes death come faster and is much more powerful when making the petition paper packet. I am wondering however in regards to the potency of the personal items I have as the only things I have of theirs is their picture and a check that they personally handled and signed. would these two items be powerful enough?

Hello P82,

It's not a question of "powerful" as much as it is having a storng link to your target. Some personal concerns like hair or bodily fluids have a more direct link as they come directly from your target's body and contain their DNA.

Handwriting or objects they have touched are still very good personal concerns, even though they do not come directly from your target's body. There is still a DNA connection, so have faith in working with them towards the goal of your spell.

As with ass spells, the final outcome is determined by Spirit based on how justified the goal is. Work with optimism and trust Spirit to know what is best.

Our prepared 8" glass-encased vigil lights come with a dressing of oils and herbs and will burn for 5 - 7 days, depending on ambient temperature and other factors.

If you wish to set a traditional Novena of nine days, you will either have to start and stop the candle (which can result in a smoky glass), or purchase two candles to run continually over the 9-day period.

Always practice fire safety when setting vigil lights. If you must keep them lit when you are away or asleep, be sure that no pets or children can get into the room with them, that they are not near curtains or flammable cloth or paper, and that you have a smoke alarm in your house. Placing lit vigils in the bathtub is quite common, but you must not have a shower curtain if you use this method. Setting them into a fireplace is ideal, as there is a ready-made chimney for them.

It certainly can mean something. Normally the work only effects the target, some believe it can effect others. Whats stands out to me is you did this on an enemy and the next day your other is dead, it seems to me this person likely has protection or did a reversing. To be sure, you will need to have a reading with an AIRR member. In the mean time I would cleanse your house top to bottom with Chinese Floor Wash, take a spiritual bath in Uncrossing and wear Fiery Wall of Protection on your body. This is a must when doing negative work.

There is no Karma rule or the Wiccan code rule of 3 that applies to Hoodoo. Meaning if you do this type of work, it does not come back to you like it does in the movies. Now can it get on you, yes, this is why we always cleanse after a working. Also, a person can reverse it, which is why you always cleanse after you do a working, and wear protection.

Hi Frann23,
The common practice is to cleanse once the work is finished, that is in your case, after the 7 days have been completed. Once you have deployed the jar so that the target(s) will pass over it/by it/near it, and disposed of other remnants of the spell, like any wax that ran from the candle, pieces of herbs not in the jar, by hiding it in a tree, or burying it in a graveyard and paying the spirit you bury it with for it's help in your revenge.

Hi Br. Christopher, they will not be near the jar. I was told my my reader to make the jar with the ingredients including wasp nest. However I couldn’t find a wasp nest and reading through here it was mentioned that gofer dust has wasp nest (I’m waiting on that). I was told that I can shake the jar to give it an extra *humph* there’s no way that I can have the jar near someone miles away. I do have the picture and wrote all over it.

You can work the jar for several days, burn candles on top of it, then bury it at a graveyard asking the spirt to hold the person down. As Brother Christopher stated, pay the spirit for the work.

Hi there! I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I'm about to burn a dume candle in my home but I was wondering if I could put a circle of salt around my work for protection. Is that recommended for this kind of work? Please help

I moved and merged your post on MISC burning a DUME candle to the Lucky Mojo section on the sale and use of the DUME candle by Lucky Mojo.

I do not put circles of salt around my candles such as DUME. Make sure to cleanse after you do the work such as a Hyssop bath.

I am in agreement with JayDee on this one. If i have a justified vendetta against someone -- enough anger to light a Death Unto My Enemies (DUME) candle on them -- i do not circle the candle with salt. Instead i write out a bill of their crimes and place it under the candle and then i surround it with cursing herbs like Red Pepper and Black Pepper. I do not burn such candles in my home (although i know some people who will burn them in their toilet room), and i dispose of all the remains as soon as the candle is finished.
