The subject of timing may confuse some newbies because all they know about so far is candle magic, and possibly because it appears a lot on TV and in films. So to them, the idea of lighting a candle during the day (when the sunlight is bright) seems foolish, and they want to think that all candle lighting takes place after sunset, by dark.

However, magic is composed of a lot more than candle-spells. Most baths are timed for dawn (to bring a good day) or when getting off of work (to remove scuffiness), and few people bathe at midnight and go to bed with wet hair.

There are also spells to be performed twice a day (morning and evening), or three times a day (morning noon, and night). And, yes, people do light candles during the day time.

In other words, when considering timing by day or by night, consider what the spell is for and also what form it takes.

I agree. That s a good rule of thumb. And to determine the actual time of sunrise in any place on any day of any year, I find Google to be treasure troves of information.

Grettings all. My supplies should be here today

. The Moon is in the waxing phase this May 25th, and it will become Full for the next few nights. I will be doing a "boss fix spell", a protection spell and a banishing spell. Could anyone please tell me if I should begin this evening or when the moon is full? I have read that when the moon is new and something is needed...money, love, etc the best time might be the new moon; however, I am having some trouble with the full moon OR the day before--(the specific and Best Time)-- today May 25 the last day of the waxing moon, to do my three spells above. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You don't need to use lunar timing in conjure - so if it's making it difficult or stressful for you to try and align things with the lunar cycle, then just don't use it.
If timing appeals to you, planetary timing using the days of the week is easier to accommodate.

To answer your question...I would start on the full moon for protection, and you can do the boss fix starting tonight. The banishing which is for removing you can start on the full moon too, and continue it for several more days as it goes waning. Again you do not HAVE to use the moon phases, especially in an urgent situation but if you have the time then that is what you can do.

Ok, I see that the best days to do love or reconcilliation, but I'm working with a rootworker and he's starting my reconcilliation/love work on sunday . He said its a powerful day? I haven't seen anything anywhere saying that.id ask him but he's very busy and I thought I could ask here. Any ideas about Sunday?

Sunday is the day of success, healing, etc - it's a good all-purpose day for good intents.

I would not get wrapped up in the days of the week too much. However, sunday is a good day to start multiple things. Each day is powerful in its own right.If you wanted the work started on a monday or Friday, then you should request for the worker to do so.

FYI you can start work on any day of the week. So I am not sure what is to be confused about, but you can start the work on certain days if you want. If you wanted it started on a particular day then email him back.

Remember that not every worker works by the days of the week. Timing of spells are done in a dozen different ways and sometimes just based on need alone. When you need something done no day's better than the present.

That's interesting. I was just confused bc I thought it was more powerful to start reconcilliation on certain days. Thanks for clearing this up. Also, I have a question, but is off topic. I'm wondering, can children be a target of someone, like hurting them or cursing them? I've been told God won't let that happen but just want to make sure. This other woman is very evil. Thanks.

Kids can be a target,although I've always believed that they're naturally more protected from magical influences than adults.If this is about your children though I'd do some protection work just to be safe.

It varies by your situation. There is not an "average" time. Matter of fact there isnt an average time for any spell. What might be 5 weeks for someone else it might be 6 months for another. It depends on a lot of factors. If you want and after then it should be 3 days for signs, 3 weeks for movement, and 3 months towards final outcome.

i'm sure it is mentioned a million times on these forums but everyone says different days and i just want some clarification please

i want to perform a attraction/ love spell but don't know which day is the best.

some people are saying sunday, some are saying friday??

i prefer to do this during the waxing moon.
also there's a dark moon tomorrow (friday) and a new moon this saturday (but i read that Saturdays are for destruction so i don't want to do it then lol)

some advice?

You have about a 2 day window in the dark and full moon, where you get basically the same effect - so you can wiggle a bit if you're working with planetary and lunar timing.

Friday is always a prime day for love work, as it is linked to Venus.

Remember - not every working takes timing into consideration. If it's causing a problem for you, then don't.

If I was working by the moon, I would do cleansing & road opening work during the dark moon. I would wait until it was waxing to do drawing work.

I have used this site while working with the moon and have had success. It also tells you which Zodiac the moon will be in. It tells you if the moon is waxing, waning etc.
I used the information from the site on the moon's phase-- in my area-- along with my LM products and a great spell Ms. Cat had posted in her online book.

I just ordered my railroad spikes to nail down my home and secure a civilian lease here in housing. Now my question is this. what day of the week is best to do this? I know cursing/reversing/destruction is Tues/Sat and love is Mon/Weds/Friday. But what day would be best for the home?

Love is not Mon-Wednesday-Friday, that is the days cited to be used to work a love honey jar due to the various planetary associations with those days are conducive to love work (which is generally a Friday activity, since that is Venus' day). For example, Wednesday is in there as it is Mercury's day, which is good for fostering positive and constructive communications, which are useful when pursuing love, but also business, success, court case or anything else where good communication could be useful. Monday (moon) is good for emotions, intuition, etc, which plays into many different pursuits, including love, but also psychicism, etc. Tuesdays are related to Mars, and so enemy work is done then, but you can also use it for protection, or for extra confidence/agression, etc. Friday, which is Venus' day, can also be used for money because Venus rules luxury and all kinds of sensual pleasure...and money helps you get those things.

The thing is every planet can be used for any purpose, you just have to know how that planet works so you'll know how to get that energy to work for your cause.

I would nail down my house on a Tuesday to protect it. But you could choose other planets if you were looking for a different way to approach the problem. Sunday is another good day, as it's related to success - so you could go about it as successfully defending your home, or remaining in your home successfully, etc.

Hi, I've just received the commanding spell kit and it says to start at dawn when the new moon is waxing...could you please tell me what day that is this month, and does it have to be at an exact hour during the morning?

sorry to be persistent on this subject i just need a little clarification. so the full moon is apparently on the 26th...if the directions say to begin the work "when the new moon is waxing" does that mean I can begin the work now, before the moon is full? because technically it's waxing now and growing full, right? i'd really love some guidance on this.

The new moon won't be until next month. The FULL moon is on June 26th. The new moon isn't until July 11th.

If you wish to work by the moon, I would wait until the next new moon. I personally like to have more than a few days of the waxing moon to do work before it's full.

I'm assuming you're wanting to draw something to you, so by working it now, at the full moon, it would lead into the waning moon.

It's ok to start something on the waxing moon and end in the waning, but you would only really have two days of the waxing moon. I would wait until the new moon July 11th.

That is if you want to follow the moon phases. You can start the spell work whenever you want.

The NEW moon is when there is NO moon in the sky....this is right after the moon has started to wane...or has "shrink" if thats what you want to call it. The moon starts waxing again aka getting bigger and increasing the day after the new moon. It is increasing to become a full moon. Think of it like a sunset...Noon would be considered the Full moon...the highest point the sun reaches in the day. The sun then starts to decrease in the sky...which would be the waining moon....dark at night would be the new moon, and right before sunrise would be the start of the waining moon. Dont know if I explained that well enough but its easier. I know some people work with the sun rather than the moon as well.

I have a Fire of Love Vigil candle that I have waiting to burn on the new moon (July 11) and I had a plain red jar candle that I decided to make into a Follow Me Boy Vigil candle with a picture of Me and beneath that a picture of the "target". On the top of the candle I imbedded appropriate herbs, and dressed it with Follow Me Boy and Love Me and Kiss Me Now oils. I don't have the shinney little stuff on top like the one I got from LM, but it's not bad for a first attempt.
