I think you misread my book. I prefer wooden matches, but in no way, shape, or form is there anything in that book or in conjure as a social and cultural phenomenon that arbitrates how you acquire a flame!

Good luck!

I have started some candle work, but something doesn’t sit right with me. So I was wondering can I just snuff out the candle and start over my work fresh when it feels right? Or should I leave the candle to burn out?

Becks085 --

Of course you may put out the candles. Performing magic is an act of will. Your own will directs your activities.

Good luck.

Hi guys,

What would be the best vigil candle to make a friendship stronger? The person in question is married with kids, I'm not looking to harm that or be more important than they are to him, but I'd like to become a very close friend (the fact I'm a woman isn't in the way, he's plenty women friends.. we're more "work friends")

hi, aniviel,

Lodestone and Magnet draw in both people and situations. They are without specific sexual or romantic overtones. (They can be blended with sexual, financial, fame, or formulas if desired, of course.) Blessing is always good for a friendship, and it too is non-specific.

I'd just like to mention here that my Good Luck candle finished burning yesterday (I can't find a thread for it..), I lit it on my birthday on Sunday and it burnt almost clean (small ring on bottom and a tinsy bit of glitter on top. Also a tinsy bit black on top but that's because of the cold I believe)

In any case, I prayed for general luck but also specifically to get money I'm expecting asap. Been waiting a year for it, and while I expected it to be soon - beginning of September - I was actually told yesterday it'll arrive this Tuesday. So earlier than planned :) and I do believe it's due to the Good Luck candle alongside the Mojo Hand.
I was really depressed two days ago and prayed over both definitely upset, and suddenly got the good news in the morning the next day :)

Hi everyone, I'm in need of some advice. What is the difference between separation and break up candles? I have several runs of stay with me candles lit for me, but my husband will be seeing his lover who he reconnected with (it's an ex-girlfriend that he is now in love with again). I'd like him to end the relationship with his lover and keep our marriage. Would separation or breakup be more appropriate? I plan to use reconciliation afterwards.

Separation candles are generally set for a peaceful quite disconnection -- nice for an amicable divorce or to cause co-workers to stop hanging out with one another without causing a fuss iat the job site. It can be a curse, but it can also be a blessing, or just a neutral, matter-of-fact parting of the ways.

Hello Everyone,

I have not been to any forum since early this year. I was wondering if you could suggest a candle or a spell to bring more love or a new love into my life. I've had a bad year and its not even done and one of my dogs had to be put down from kidney/liver failures so I'm having a hard time getting back to love or general love in life. ;(

Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You.

I'm doing a spell to return a lover. I burned a red skull candle, and was told to bury it in my front yard. I live in an apartment in the city. Should I leave the wax at a crossroad, bury it in a potted plant near my door? Any suggestions?

Thanks Cat,

I read the link, and it was very informative. Thank you.

I'm still confused as to what to do with the remaining wax. I can't bury it in my yard, cause I live in an apartment in the city. There are trees out front, that have sidewalk grates around them. I could slip it down into one. The other methods didn't seem right for the work I did. This was Conjure Man Ali's suggestion BTW.I was on your radio show on SEpt 2nd.

Haegtesse,

Cat gave you the post to a link she wrote as a means to empower you to learn about the tradition and how deployment methods are used.

Normally a front yard is to draw a backyard is to keep, crossroad is to disperse, running water to send away, under a porch in some spells to curse, cemetery to curse or put to death, burn to destroy. Some spells hidden in trees or holes in trees.

You live in an apartment, the easiest suggestion is the front yard of the apartment, or buy a plant and bury it in the house plant at your front door.

Hello,

I’m wondering about those glitters on Vigil candles. Will they eventually burned away along with the wax or will remain in the glass?

Hello,

I have questions regarding Vigil candles.
1. Are those glitters supposed to eventually burned away with the wax?
2. Is there certain appropriate number of inches or hours (time) that a vigil candle can be lit? I understand that Vigil candles are meant to be lit until it burned completely on it's own. I also heard that it can also be lit in sections supposedly one is leery about lighting candle unattended.

Thank you for all the help.

CuriousIndigo,

Here is a link to burning candles in sections. You can mark the candle glass with a marker to determine how long to let it burn. One issue I think you may face is that it takes a while to burn a layer of the wax. Its meant to burn for several days straight. I would light it and let it burn evenly meaning all the wax on top melts then put it out. Otherwise it can make a messy burn with built up wax on one side not melted etc. Some of the flitter will melt, others will stick to the glass, some to the wax some to herbs, those are read as symbols in the candle glass.

So if there are herbs and glitters left in the glass, am I suppose to dig them out and dispose them appropriately also?

I’ve just read

http://www.luckymojo.com/candlemagicdivination.html

And although it’s very interesting and maybe someone in the future can relate to what I have experienced. I cannot figure out what my candle spell is doing (as it looks like a big mess - which another site suggested it can happen - but doesn’t explain the candles possible reactions in detail like Lucky Mojo).

I am using a black female figure candle with hot foot oil and a green female figure candle with Mercury oil (an oil for business). This is to remove a new employee (see my other posts for the story - her husband earns 100k a year in London - heh! ...clearly doesn’t really need this job then and leaves the business it in a right mess, but doesn’t get a telling off from the owner! I’ve been singled out for her mistakes and although I have looked elsewhere for jobs have not yet been successful which has of course hurt my self esteem and confidence, I am trying to focus on myself rather than the new employee being the problem).

On the 1st night, the black female figure candles flame was 2” high, and started to burn faster than the green candle (which was a shorter flame). But the green candle did catch up eventually. These figurines were back to back and touching, the wax had also dripped behind them - I guess this means there is a tight bond? It was mostly green wax

On the 2nd night, moved them about 1cm away from another, the green candle decided to burn a little quicker than the black, again the black candle caught up and left a trail of black wax behind the candle, again I guess there is a tight bond between the two?

I’m on the third night now and decided to Google search if the candle burns a certain way does it have meaning to it, and how the wax reacts - which way it drips, etc - very interesting and as I said, I think there is a strong bond between the candles as they are fused together every time I’m having to move them in opposite direction away from each other.

Tonight there is more green than black on the tray I am using, the black figurine is just dripping down the sides and occasionally makes a noise where the flame is hitting the melted wax on top.

Is the fuse normal for candles that are facing away from each other? Or have I let them burn too closely to one another? They are 3” apart from each other now.

GeminianDragon ,

Candle flames that burn faster are more effected by the work. The wax running to the other candle is them holding on to that person. Since both are running to one another they are both holding on to one another in this work. Hissing can be a spirit trying to communicate with you, could be the individual spirit fighting the work. I would suggest a break up candle (7 day) and a break up sour jar ( discussed on the forum) to cause their relationship to break up as friends/coworkers.

In that case, I’m thinking of just leaving the leftover glitters and herbs in the glass, cleanse it with Florida water cologne and then recycle the glass in the recycle bin. Also other thing I was thinking of is pouring money drawing incense ashes into it and store it by my door. Would it be appropriate?

Yes, either one would be fine. Just remember that these glass tubes do build up in time -- no need to keep them all.

For more information on how to work with candles, i have written a basic book filled with history, instructions, and spells.

Hello ZeroMagic,

If you're ordering a candle for the altar service, I'd just write your petition in clear, concise wording. "So and So come to me," for example.

Take care.

Hi all,

I'm new to this work and I want to do a bit of candle work for me and my girlfriend( I want to use an uncrossing candle and road opening candle). I saw a worker tell someone on her instagram that one candle can be petitioned for two people, I wanted to know if that is correct or should I have two separate candles for each person for the same type of work? Thanks for your help!

Ayalin ,

I cant comment on what another worker post on instagram, but we can point you to some of the many sources on LM site about candles. It is common to use a petition for two or more people IF they are both part of the situation and prayer. IE if the blocked roads are relating to your love life together it makes sense. But if her career paths are blocked and your life seems crossed I would use two different candles. Candles will burn and provide signs to the work which can be read. Here are a few helpful links:

I have a quick question: What do you do with the seven day candles as they are called after you are done burning them, and you have gotten your use from them? How do you properly and respectfully dispose of them?

Are there practitioners that do not use candles?

I ask because I hate the smell of all candles. It doesn't matter the fragrance or if they have no fragrance. The wax still smells terrible.

Hello, SingsAndSeeksHarmony, and welcome to our forum.

That is a great question -- and there are TWO answers:

1) Yes, many practitioners never use candles. They may not have privacy, they may not have a fire-safe place to burn them, they may have breathing issues such as asthma that preclude any form of burning (Incense as well as candles).

2) If the issue is rimarily one of disliking the smell, you may take a trial to note what kind of wax or oil smells bad to you -- all wax or oil in general, or a specific wax or oil. These are some to try:

Beeswax candles
Soy Wax candles
Petroleum Wax (Mineral Wax) candles
Tallow (Animal Fat) candles
Vegetable Oil lamps
Ghee (Clarified Butter) lamps,
Kerosene Oil (Lamp Oil, Coal Oil) lamps

Once you know what you like or don't like, you can work accordingly, by needs and concerns and by personal aesthetic preference.

Good luck.

How do you all go about storing your candles in extreme weather? We are heading in to a heatwave and I've already had my chime candles warping.
I know it's supposed to be a cool dark and dry place, however, we aren't going to have anything like that for the next week.
They are all wrapped in plastic, would the fridge be ok for the week?
Don't want to damage the wicks but a pile of bendy candles isn't much use to me either lol

Thanks JayDee, Air cons will only be on at night, and basements are not a thing in Australia. Fridge it is!

Hello everyone,

I have some lucky mojo candles some I’ve had for a little over a year and I’ve notice that they aren’t burning the way they have when I just purchased them. I’ve kept them in a dry cool location. They also aren’t burning out all the way.My question is so I need to maybe keep them out for a few days before burning them?

What can I do to fix my candles before burning them?

WaGaBa.

The way a candle burns is usually read for signs as to how the work is going. If the candle is not burning all the way or burning clean it is indicative of the work being done and not completed. Fixing a candle is often done using condition oil, herbs, glitter and prayer with a name paper or petition paper.

Hi
I was doing a fiery wall of protection last night for me and my bf I fixed a seven day red candle and the flame was weak. I lit a helper candle a red one with blockbuster to try and help it along. It got dimmer and I moved it and it went out. I threw it away let the blockbuster helper burn. I fixed another candle this time a seven day white with wall of protection. I said a prayer to Saint Jude to ask for his help (he is a saint I love and work with often) in removing the obstacle and helping the spell work. I lit the White firey wall of protection and also did another red helper candle also dressed with fiery wall of protection. I also redid my petition paper. So far it seems to be burning clean and fast this time. I’m considering doing a helper candle with run devil run also to chase away the whatever might be trying to block my spell. So I guess what I’m wondering is am I doing this right? Lol any other suggestions or observations on this?

Nettles282 ,

Sounds like you are on the right track. We dont read candles on the forum but lucky mojo does provide a lot of free information on the subject: http://www.luckymojo.com/candlemagic.html

You can contact AIRR for advise and reading on the situation as well: http://readersandrootworkers.org/wiki/A ... ootworkers

We are basically guessing since we do not now the situation, and why the work is being performed. It seems to be general protection for both of you? Sometimes candles burn bad because its a poor candles sometimes its a clear indication of a sign to the work. signs-movement-completion-of-spells-que ... t6436.html

Light the candle you are using, set candles with it and pray Psalms 91 for Gods heavenly protection in your life.

JayDee

That was exactly what I needed to know. I didn’t need anyone to read my candle I just wanted to make sure I’m on the right track. I did a mutual protection spell for me and my boyfriend and fixed a white candle with firey wall of protection fear not to walk over evil, barbery and angelica. Reason why I did it in unison is because there are jealous individuals who would like to cause discord so the petition was protection for us from all harm, and also anyone who would try to harm our relationship. I don’t know if I should have done it in two separate spells, but doing it this way felt right. It may have been the candles but this one is burning beautifully and I feel is working well.
I also did the protection also I will be doing an uncrossing and a healing for an ill family member and another uncrossing for a friend, so I would like to protect myself before I work on someone else’s nasties if you know what I mean.
I will probably add a run devil run helper candle tonight for extra umph, in keeping away the jealous intruders.

Nettles282 ,

Working a protection spell on both of you to protect you both and the relationship makes complete sense. You can burn other candles along with this candle to support the work such as : Cast off evil to cast these evil ones off, Fiery wall of protection to protect you both and your relationship, stop gossip to stop the gossip and trouble making from these individuals.

When doing uncrossing and healing work, make sure you cleanse yourself prior and wear the protection on yourself as you do the work. Wash your body in a spiritual bath after the work to remove anything from you.

Hey jaydee

I did add some helper candles with run devil run cast off evil and stop gossip and added domination, aimed towards the individuals with personal items from the enemy so I will see how that goes.
I am concerned with doing a healing and uncrossing as I don’t have an altar and I light my candles in my room (space situation for a while). I was going to light a seven day, for uncrossing and another for healing after, how do I prevent any energies leaking in my room? I’m a bit nervous because the one I am helping is a dear family member but something nasty has been afflicting him and it has been an issue for years. Would putting my seven day candle in a bowl or ring of salt be a good way to contain any negative energies/ protect me while I am casting? Or even just passively burning in my bedroom?

Nettles282,

It is not uncommon for workers to have small tight work areas and to use temporary alters when working till the work is done, dismantle and use for something else. The candle is dressed, blessed and focused on the goal of the person it then burns, as it does it emits that energy into the universe to do the work. Uncrossing is not negative work, you are removing it off the person. It is not uncommon to use items around a candle and in shapes relating to the work, such as a heart for love work, a cross for blessing or uncrossing work, you can make a cross of salt and place the candle in the center. Also when burning candles it is good to observe them as they burn and to pray over them daily, state the petition the prayer and Psalms as it relates to the work. You can also burn an uncross and healing at the same time. Cleanse your hands and face after the uncrossing work and wear protection oil and you will be fine.

Thanks for the insight jaydee!
I now know exactly how I want to cast the spell for my relative. I’m also having him take 13 herb baths while I am performing the spells.
Though something weird happened last night. I finished my grand protection spell. I added some of the elements of firey wall of protection using the 7 guardians and enemy candle. I felt really positive about it last night. But this morning I woke up feeling awful. So did my bf (him and I were the ones being protected) and one of the enemies, all three of us feel ill today....could something possibly have gone wrong?
I wanted to know because if so I may consult with my rootworker. I didn’t know if it was a strange coincidence. I used my trusty pendulum and readings of my own and I got the read that they worked just fine...
So wondering if I should worry...could a protective spell go wrong?

I forgot to add it’s important that I do get
This spell right because there is someone I want to cross. And while I will do the hyssop bath I want something else in place

Hi Nettles282,

Protection spells generally do not "go wrong" however something else may be at play here. I would suggest you contact your rootworker for a reading and advice, as we would not want to contradict any recommendations they would make. They know your case best, so do contact your rootworker.

I wish you the best.

I have been using several candles from lucky Mojo, " Return to me, Love me, Stay at home as well as sachet powders, and I am wondering how long til I see something happen if ever? I used the return to me candle in January and have not seen any results of any type of return from the person, and this person is always gone out of town so I used the stay at home, early March. Just feeling like I am not seeing any type of signs from these candles 😤

Hello, CuriousChris -- and welcome to the Lucky Mojo Forum.

We do not know who the person you are working on is with respect to you -- schoolroom crush or husband of 25 years with grown children and a grandchild on the way? -- and we do not know if you two live together, are fighting a lot, or have outside lovers.

Candle magic is currently taken almost as a panacea, an automatic go-to, especially in situations of love and family. This was not true in the past, and we do not know why it has become so disproportionately the ONLY form of magic that many people use -- but, to make an analogy to medicine: Aspirin will knock back a headache, but it won't cure cancer. Changing your diet may be enough to stave off diabetes -- but if your pancreas is too far gone, you will need insulin. And although candles can do a lot, they cannot do everything that contact magic can do. I would tell you to powder your bed linens, but i don't know if you are even sleeping with the person. I would tell you to put menstrual blood in your loved one's food, but i don't know if you have periods or if the person is your mate or your child 9and you would NOT want to put your period blood in your child's food). .

So, basically, all we can say is that if a spell is not working for you after three months, you should be getting a reading from a professional psychic counsellor on your prospects for success and on the usefulness of candles in your situation. A good reader and spiritual coach can really help you. It is not expensive, and it may save you a lot of time and money in the end. You should not be looking for a spell-caster, but rather a psychic reader.

I’m going to see the man that I am interested in at an event in April. Would you recommend a Bewitching candle or a Follow Me Boy to attract him? I have both from LM, fixed and ready to go! :D

Should I wear some oil or use a wash before I go as well?

Hello Beachykeen,

I would start with Bewitching (candle and oil) to entice him to you, then once starts to return your interest, you can move on to Follow Me Boy.

I hope this helps. Go get him, and good luck!

I couldn't find this anywhere online, but how do you interpret herbs, glitter, and a heart stuck above both the front and back label in love drawing vigil candles?

Herbs, glitter, heart on Bewitching
Herbs, and glitter only in Love Me and Look Me Over

This happened when the candle first lit, I thought it was gonna tunnel but the wax eventually melted and the herbs, glitter, and heart pieces were left on top of both labels, after that, the candles burned clean and melting all the wax.

Hello mastersirius678,

I would personally take that as a positive sign, but as you know we do not perform individual candle interpretations on the forum. If you would like a professional rootworker from AIRR to interpret those signs from photographs, you can contact them from the following link:

I hope this helps. Good luck.
