I'll be darned! I found it! It was from 6-15-14. It's the one that famously introduces Miss Aida's use of power drills for skull candles and where Mercury retrograde (infamously) caused disruption throughout!

Re: Suggest and Discuss Topics and Magic Spells on the LMC Network
How about having a discussion on poppets and doll babies? Specifically about how to baptize it to connect it to your target's spirit and things that can be done to it depending on your goal. It's a very popular topic on the discussion board, and if I'm not mistaken (I didn't completely search all of the archives) the topic hasn't been discussed recently.
Re: Suggest and Discuss Topics and Magic Spells on the LMC Network
Hello, crazycatlady ,
EXCELLENT idea!
I've been wracking my brains out thinking about my next topic. I was going to discuss St Lazarus but I will save his topic for a later date and use YOUR topic first (if nobody beats me to the punch!).
Thank You!!

Or maybe do it in a two part series: the first part on the different ways and materials used to construct the doll, and the second part baptizing it and what to say or so to it to achieve your goal.

St Lazarus's sister, St Martha, is also a very commonly petitioned saint. I love her and would like to know more about working with her. There are also many misconceptions and false beliefs in regards to her, and some clarification would be nice.

I completely forgot about the other St Martha! I was referring to the Catholic saint, the dominator, but I think comparing and contrasting the two is a better idea.

Hello, crazycatlady ,
In my book, Cursing and Crossing, there is an entire chapter dedicated to dolls. There's many pages on how to make different types of dolls.

I am EXCITED for this weeks topic Spirits Good and Evil. I've always avoided spirit communication and such, unless THEY reach out to ME, and then I'm very careful. This is going to be so good.

Re: Suggest and Discuss Topics and Magic Spells on the LMC Network
Hi All!
Doc Murphy here. I'm calling to ask about a rootwork prescription that I kindly received from the hosts and guests on the show on Nove. 26.
I have my Balm of Gilead Buds under the bed as prescribed.. depending on the outcome, I am instructed to either, as the deadline comes, bury the buds on the property or chuck them into the river.
Here's my complication -- I'm in Minnesota, and winter has hit. Hard. When Mercury went retrograde, we got our first hard freeze ( a water main broke and caused a sinkhole in the interstate, I'm not kidding) and it'll stay this way a while. I live in a freezer spell up here. But... burying the buds in frozen ground or chucking them on frozen water, well... complication.
Advice-- should I just go ahead and dispose in the icy weather and expect a yet another slow resolution as things melt later? Or should I keep them under the bed until weather permits? Or another solution? (Waiting for the "shift" CM Ali referred to.. this is really emotionally hard work this time...it's... frozen...)
I started this before the retrograde, so I'm just continuing it, but the ice came suddenly.
Thanks for any guidance!

Hello magicmurphy,
If you absolutely can't dispose of them in running water or the ground, I suppose you'll have to wait. However it seems like a very sharp shovel could make even a shallow depression you could use to bury them. Your call!

Re: Suggest and Discuss Topics and Magic Spells on the LMC Network
Sorry if this is the wrong place for my question! I'm an avid listener of the podcast, but I wonder- is there an index? So, for example, if I wanted to find which shows discussed finding a job (or another broad topic), is there a list? I realize that this would be a massive undertaking to create, but maybe someone has been creating a spreadsheet or the like all along?
Thanks for a great show.

Re: Suggest and Discuss Topics and Magic Spells on the LMC Network
I really enjoyed the most recent episode with Co. Meadows talking about working the Bible. Hoodoo has really brought out the Christian in me! One thing you guys talked about is the amuletic power of the Bible. I've started to carry a Bible in my purse wherever I go... but I'm wondering, what counts as a Bible? Can it just be the New Testament and the Psalms like those tiny Gideons Bibles? Or does it have to include the Old Testament too? Would a collection of just the Psalms also provide amuletic power? What about a phone with the Bible in it? Would any form of abbreviated Bible be acceptable on a traditional Hoodoo altar?
My guess is even something as small as a verse from a Psalm has power or else we wouldn't use them in petition papers. I'm new to Christianity, but I realized that Psalm 23 is like a summary of the entire Bible.
I like to keep my bases covered so I keep a full-size copy of the King James on my altar as well as a little King James Bible in my purse and The Message translation on my phone.
Thanks! Would love to hear what people have to say.

I have often made do with just a book of Psalms. That's just me ....

Re: Suggest and Discuss Topics and Magic Spells on the LMC Network
Just to throw in my 2 cents, I agree with Cat, a book of Psalms is enough.
If it was good enough for St. Anthony of Padua (and a novice that stole his! - as the story goes that is) It's good enough for me!

Re: Suggest and Discuss Topics and Magic Spells on the LMC Network
99 percent of the Bible work I do is with the book of Psalms and lately (for lack of better Psalms to work with) I've been working with Psalm 23 because I'm doing love work for my best friend and her current flame and protection work for myself. I really think it's the whole bible in one Psalm!
Thanks for the replies! Love the show.

I really enjoy hearing Conjureman Ali talk about his geomantic readings. Have y’all u ever done a show about Geomancy? If not could Conjureman be a guest and talk about Geomancy and its place in folk magic?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: Suggest and Discuss Topics and Magic Spells on the LMC Network
I agree that his readings are very interesting. I too would like to hear more on Geomancy.

I noticed. Thank you miss cat! I was on the road with others today and unable to listen to the entire show but I will hear the rest later this week. I’m on the road a lot and I use this as an opportunity to get caught up on the shows. Interesting that I gave my son a sneaky spiritual cleansing bath this morning (instructions by miss Elvyra) and that it was mentioned on the show by Deacon Millett who suggested it to me in his candle report. I told him it was for his acne and he had to fully submerge. I even managed to collect some bath water.

Re: Suggest and Discuss Topics and Magic Spells on the LMC Network
Hi Ms. Cat,
I heard your show of 30th Sept. I feel you were talking about me at the begining. I apprecaite you sharing that, however you forgot to mention that I have target's hair, a lot of his hair. All photo's were taken on his phone, I never really thought things would end so suddenly, hence never asked for them.
Nway, I come from mind tought that yes my situtuation is tough, but this is a true test of a rootwork, if all things were smooth then praying and having faith is all you need. Why would I need a doctor for cold or fever. I wanted to find a rootwork who would be willing to take a bad situation and put all they got to truly push their own skills and grow out of this.
If this was just an argument, I can handle it. But I needed help to get someone to really willing to help, and I would do anything needed to help them too.
Hope you can try to understand.

Re: Suggest and Discuss Topics and Magic Spells on the LMC Network
Rose_joy --
I did start by thinking about you, but there are hundreds of clients i have had over the years who have fewer links on hand to their ex-lovers than what you have of your lover -- and i was speaking not of you, but of what seems to be a common problem -- no photo.
It is so much easier for a reader who does psychometry (as i do) to read a photo than to read only the cards. And it is so much easier for the client to do rootwork if they have a composite photo.
You may think you are the only one, but, alas, this is the single most common problem that rootdoctors face -- a lack of links. So i took it waaaaay beyond your situation (you do have his hair, which is great) because i wanted folks to realize how important it is to collect symbolic and linked items and concerns at the beginning of a relationship.
I hope i did not offend you and that you now understand that i was not singling you out.

Re: Suggest and Discuss Topics and Magic Spells on the LMC Network
Rose_joy ,
Having concerns is a great personal concern to work a person. You can make a honey jar, a mojo, candle work with that. I did not listen to the Sept 30 radio show, though its DL on my phone. I cant speak if Cat was talking directly to you or not, but she is a great teacher, greatly knowledgable and helpful. IF you are seeking help by a worker the best option is to really schedule a reading with an AIRR reader or even Cat herself and see what the cards say and get advice on what to do. At that point you can hire a worker or do it yourself. There are many post on the forum about reconciliation work and other jobs, this post is primarily for the radio show and topics to present.
I am not 100% sure but from your wording I feel this post is about reconciliation, I will post some helpful links, if I am wrong, correct me and Ill send different links to support you.

If the work is not love related but relationship related, reconciliation products, honey jars and all that work as well for that purpose. Like a fight or spat with a coworker family member, online friend etc.

Ms Cat,
I am not offended at all. It was very nice to visit the store and meet you. Yes, person concerns is an association we don't make to keep of a new lover as no one thinks of break or end at the best times in relationship. Lesson learned!
I have his hair and only by a good chance!! I found them on 30th Sept when I was moving from my apartment. I also have used tooth brush of his. Plus I am a link to him, I believe. I also have put 2 pictures together of his and mine. He has all the photo in his phone, as he is 6ft4 and I am just 5ft2 so he took all the selfies!!!
@ JayDee
Thank you so much!

Ms Cat - Have you ever thought of museum of Magic? wouldn't it be interested to turn LM into Shop + Museum....give everyone a chance to learn basic magic?
You you think of moving LM to San Jose!! it will be a hit! With kids, and high pressure employees. I can totally invision it, bringing history, science, cultures, thinking, spritual space together with a amazing shop and a cafe that serves magical food of self love, protection, success, confidence, love and much more......
Okay, I am getting very excited here!! and it's only my imagination....

Rose_joy -- Lucky Mojo *is* a "museum of magic." We call it a "theme shop" -- like a theme park, but it's a shop.
Also, when we hold our apprenticeships, about 100 years' worth of spiritual supplies are put out on display for photographing and i describe them for the folks who are there to learn, and explain all their history.

Thank you so much for the spot-on insight into the situation on the October 28, 2018 show. I was wondering if I should email Conjureman Ali or contact him another way for follow up questions?

Hello catherine and nagasiva,
I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place, but I couldn't seem to find the specific thread for my question. There is a particular episode where catherine spoke of a rare text attributed to Isis where she dedicates it "to my best friend" or something close.
I haven't been able to find that episode and would like to try to find the text itself. Are there any keywords or helpful details that could help me find it? I'm a pretty decent researcher with a good amount of resources at my disposal. Do you remember the title?
Thank you for your time, and again, my apologies if I'm posting this in the wrong spot. Hope you're both doing well.
Best,
AE

Hi aerias,
I have moved your post to the correct location as you were in the thread requesting to be on the radio show.
I don't recall the show you mentioned, but someone else here might. In the meantime, you may wish to search through the chat logs posted on the forum at the conclusion of each show. I hope you find what you're looking for.
Good luck.

Is the comment box the same as the chat box? I see a comment box, but it will not allow me to comment unless I sign in to facebook. Will I be able to participate in the chat without being signed in to facebook?

The chat box should appear at the bottom of the page, so no need to sign in to Facebook or anything like that. You may need to refresh the page once the show starts to get the chat box to show up if you don't see it.

We choose from among those who are actually on the line when the show starts, selecting new callers first. Some weeks we have a lot of callers and some weeks very few. Most callers will get by the second or third try.

Re: Suggest and Discuss Topics and Magic Spells on the LMC Network
Hello all!
I wanted to say how grateful I am to Miss Cat, Cali Mojo Girl, and Conjureman Ali for their excellent readings and prescriptions on the June 2nd show, and give some follow-up about the accuracy of the readings and results of the work thus far.
Remember a Wren visited me, reminded me to make the most of the resources available to me (including your radio show), and inspired me to check for negative influences I might have overlooked.
Miss Cat: just observing your reading with the cards and pendulum was very instructive! It inspired me to pull out my pendulum and practice more. You verified that my Wren visit was symbolic, and pulled the 3 of Wands ('the Carmen card'), the 8 of Pentacles ('the Wren's card), and the Wheel of Fortune. Your reading indicated that I have "been looking out over the Bay and looking for things", that there are few negative influences clinging around now, that the Wren is saying, "Keep at what you're doing, but set aside anything that isn't working for you," that "a guardian or helper is coming," and that "the world is full of signs for [me], but the outcome is justice and good fortune."
Your accuracy is on point here. I grew up near the Chesapeake Bay, and that particular phrase rang true for me - as well as the concept of looking out over the water for things. I have been looking for my power, autonomy, & roots, and divesting myself of unnecessary influences for many years. But now is a new time, and many of the troublesome things are going away, some on their own - as you read. It was inspiring to have the confirmation that the Wren was symbolic; to hear that he will return when needed was comforting. Also, when I have been lacking discipline or energy, or am forgetful of the wonder in the world around me, I try to remember your words about the outcome, and remember to keep my Eye open for the signs and abundance at hand. Finally, as you predicted - helpers: I made a new friend who is teaching me to make dipped candles, and recently a practitioner of Aromatherapy whom I greatly admire offered me her tutelage.
Cali Mojo Girl: You used a Tarot deck I haven't seen (The Housewives Deck), but whose symbolism was SO spot on that I am going to have to give it a closer look. You pulled the Magician, the 9 of Pentacles, and the 2 of Pentacles. You noted that the Magician here is a man who was very taxing and sucked a lot out of my aura, and that the 9 of Pentacles points to a "woman counting dishes and who is very proud of her dishwasher. She gets an energy out of being organized...exacting the ledger." You indicated that it is time to let this go. The 2 of Pentacles as indicated a woman having fun with children and pets, and that there was something left to do to be totally rid of the Magician.
So, let me tell you a little story about that guy, and the dishes
You couldn't be more spot on, Cali - while I was with that dude, I literally lost my mojo. Somehow in all the mess, I forgot so much of my higher self, just surviving I guess. The end of that relationship a few years ago was traumatic, and when I left I literally counted the dishes - left him only with the ones he brought to the relationship (a few pots, a pan, a couple of dishes, a bowl) and plastic utensils. I was fortunate: able to pack up and leave, but the road to healing has been rocky - 3 moves in 3 years, among other set-backs. I was replaying traumatic events too often, even though I knew I needed to let them go. Having troubles getting settled. However, this year there has been a noticeable change: I moved into the house I'm currently in and feel confident I will be able to stay in it awhile. I have expanded my garden, and - wait for it - recently got a new dishwasher - haha! So what was it I had to do to finally shake him off? Clean house, unpack, and begin my practice again!
Top to bottom, back to front: I've been cleaning the shit out of my house! And working to completely unpack my life - literally and figuratively. Some boxes I packed away (thankfully carefully), and hadn't really had the time, energy, or space to organize. But that has been mostly remedied now. I found journals I've kept for years and supplies I will need going forward that I had nearly forgotten. Things have been put in their places. The rooms in my home each have their purposes: the kitchen is truly my hearth now, the dining room a place of nurturing and fellowship, etc. Even - for the first time in my life - a room set aside to begin to working up some permanent altars. Besides that, I am simply having more fun. I've been sharing the gardening with the neighborhood kids, I'm regularly practicing my crafty hobbies, and learning new recipes.
Conjureman Ali: You affirmed that Wren is a spirit guide, and reminded me about my connections with animals: I loved your phrasing - animal allies. You even reminded me that my grandfather and father raised fowl. My grandfather wanted to teach me to raise quail and chickens - but it wasn't possible once we moved to the city. It's been nice to remember though, and has re-lit my desire to learn more about my feathered friends. You also prescribed three things: 1. To light a candle with a prayer & feed and water Wren in the garden, 2. to wash and prepare a Lodestone on the altar (during the waxing moon), and to feed it regularly - then at the full moon to sprinkle its dust at the 4 corners of the house, and 3. to spritz Hoyt's cologne with Van Van to dispel negative influences.
Your first prescription I call Feed the Wren (FTW - which also reminds me of 'For the Win'), and it's the one I was able to begin immediately. I researched good foods for Wren, and decided to do this on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. Now, I have successfully completed the ritual since Monday, 6/3, 3 x per week. One week, I missed Wednesday morning, so simply performed it the next morning. I greet Wren, express my gratitude for his visits and his songs, invite him to come whenever he pleases, assure him that I mean him no harm, and express my desire to continue a relationship with him. I let the candle burn (as often as possible anyway, some days the wind makes that difficult). Then I walk around the backyard spreading the food. You suggested pouring the water into my garden, but it has been very hot here, and I have been watering the garden a little extra and leaving the bowl of water throughout the day for any creatures who might need a drink or a bath as they pass through. There is rarely any left at the end of the day.
I was expecting this lovely ritual to be uplifting, to remind me of my connections to nature and animal allies, and to increase my focus on gratitude - and it has absolutely done so! I was NOT expecting the power of the invitation. Since the first ritual:
A family of wrens (at least three different ones) moved into the tree in the NW corner of my yard almost immediately. Following them led me to a mulberry (tree, it's huge) hidden in plain site just beyond my fence on 6/6. Also on the night of 6/6 a Mama Wolf Spider visited me at my Southern entrance - carrying her babies on her back! They glittered in the moonlight with a hundred eyes if there was one. She even waited on my steps so I could take pictures. Spider has been a friend for many years, and this visit was a joy. A male and female pair of cardinals come to visit each day since about the second week; the male is bold and likes to hang out right on the deck railing; the female is shy and stays nearer the edge of the yard. A couple of male blue jays started showing up around 6/26 and they have spectacular arguments - mid-air, in the center of the yard. One of them was not very fond either of the tray of food I've taken to leaving on the deck or its placement - after 23 days of the set-up working out fine, the jays knocked it over two mornings in a row. I decided to get a proper hanging bird feeder, and a heavier bowl for the offering on the deck railing - since apparently the jays would prefer not to have to stoop so low to get to my offerings. But since their spills a pair of mourning doves have taken up under the deck. This isn't even the whole menagerie.
Now, though Wren comes first, I greet them all and include them in my morning prayer.
Your ritual is helping me develop the habit of going outside more often. I want to see if any of my animal friends are doing something interesting in the backyard, check on their food and water bowls, keep an eye on candles if there are any. It's been good for so many aspects of my life. In short, I'm beginning to feel like I ought to be meeting my Fairy Godmother out there sometime, and the ritual you suggested has achieved the impossible: turning me into a morning person.
The Hoyt's Cologne, Van Van oil and supplies for the Lodestone altar came recently. I added some Van Van to the Hoyt's as instructed, and alongside my cleaning, I have spritzed, spritzed, spritzed. I spritz it around the house each morning since 6/28 - it seems to have the interesting effect of grounding and awakening at the same time, like a whiff of cobweb-clearing in tandem with a gentle nudge to focus and set about the work of the day.
Soon, the moon will be waxing and it will be time to wash and prepare the Lodestone. I intend to do this on 7/4, once the New Moon has fully passed, and - I think, propitiously - also Independence Day (US). I am inclined to include intentions for personal independence and to whisper my desires to attract freedom for the oppressed alongside my Lodestone petitions, among others.
I know this post got very long, but I wanted to to express my gratitude with clear examples of results and by giving back some of what the investment of your time has given to me. Thank you once again for the readings, prescriptions, and inspiration!
With warm regards,
Carmen

Listening to last week's episode and wanted to throw in my vote for the two clients format!
