I intend to burn a bewitching skull candle. I will load tissue with semen in the bottom. Baptise the candle as required too. What confuses me is
1.whether anointing bewitching oil causes the the target to be bewitched or if they become bewitching since the candle represents them.

2.Would it be ok to add my menstrual blood to the skull? Which part of the skull would be appropriate for the menstrual blood?

3.Can I add influence and love me oils to the bewitching oil?

I will answer your questions in the order you asked them.

1. Your target becomes bewitched by you.

2. Menstrual blood is typically used in contact magic, in which your target ingests the blood. You can use it on your skull candle, but you may not get the same results.

3. Yes, you can blend those oils and use them on your candle.

Hello, everyone!

I have a quick question here. What happens if the potted plant where I put the remains of all my spells for my man I did for almost a year now (skull, figural candles) got disturbed by my mom, who wished to "air the plant soil"? Not sure if she touched anything or not! I was away on holiday and she didn't tell me she wanted to do that!!!

If the remains are still buried there, you should be fine. If they have been removed, you would need to perform your spells again.

A bit of red string that I used for a love spell was sticking out...

And she told me she didn't touch anything as she didn't have her glasses on and couldn't see what was sticking out...

Hello everyone!
Today was the 3rd day I lit the red skull candle I've been working with. When I went to talk to it and check on it after about an hour, it was almost completely melted. The only thing standing was the mouth, the nose and a small piece of the right cheek, the whole back was gone. The wick was off, but it was still on because the tissue with semen that I put inside of it caught on fire from the wick and it was still lit, and the flame was still dancing. Is this a bad sign? Is it bad that it fell apart after lighting it 3 times? I wasn't expecting the wick to go off but the candle still on burning because the tissue is working as a wick. Any opinions? Please!!
Should I do the work again?

I was reading the "laying tricks" information on disposing of ritual remains. It says if I want to keep something close to bury in backyard, to attract something, to bury by doorstep. I'm confused, where and how do I bury the remainder of a red skull candle? I want to keep attracting him and keep him close also. Do I wrap it with an old piece of clothes?

Burying the Red Skull Candle Remnants

You could bury the red skull candle remnants in either your front yard or backyard. If the man is already living with you, then burying the red skull candle remnants in your backyard might be better suited to keeping him close. If the man does not live with you, then burying the red skull candle remnants in your front yard might be better for attracting him back to your doorstep and into your life.

If you are treating the candle remnants simply as spell remains, then wrapping them in simple paper or cloth should be fine for burial. If you are deploying the candle remnants as an active trick, then you may want to carefully wrap them and tie them in a bundle.

Interpreting the Candle Burn

However, this candle burn might boil down to a simple matter of science - the highly flammable tissue caught flame and burned through the candle and extinguished the wick.

I’m sure you had the original candle on a fireproof surface and followed basic fire safety protocols. Staying close by would be best if your goal is divination on the candle burning. You received some great advice above so please consider it.

I would add that you do not want to leave a candle unattended for any reason. When burning a skull (or other figural) candle, it is helpful to keep an eye on the burn so you can see which areas of the skull are burning first, more or less quickly or where a flame becomes extinguished. This gives you insight into how your target is responding, and which areas of their mind are more or less affected. That can help you in your plans for moving forward.

In my experience, if the mouth of a skull candle does not burn, that tells me that the target may think the thoughts I am compelling them to think, but may not put them into words. This is useful information for formulating the next step in spellwork.

Yes, the mouth didn't burn at all! One of the first things that started melting was the left ear, there were like balls of was dripping out of it. It looked like his ear was bleeding profusely. It looked kind of scary.

I would throw it east at a crossroads. I like to use the roads so that the spell reaches the person. If the person is close and you have access to their property, that would be even better.

Hi all -

I have had great success on skull candles in the past and started another one last Friday on my target to get her to contact me and to speak eloquently to me about her feelings for me (this is a stubborn person)! I laid with the candle and caressed and spoke to it/her a few days before actually working it. The first day or so the candle didn’t burn down much and I know it can take a bit to get going.

Yesterday’s and this mornings burn had very high/constant flames and burned great. I let today’s burn a little longer, meditated on it/used tobacco and spoke thoughts into her mind and intended on leaving it for a few hours (about 2). Well! I got wrapped up in a work situation in my home office and forgot! I went back into my room about 6hrs later instead of 2 and it had burned all the way down today! It melted everything down even the face/melted down very well it seems.

My question is, is it okay that it all burned down today? I was supposed to burn it for 7 days and let it burn down on the final day (in 2 more days).

Hi Muse,

Generally, quick candle burns are good indicators. However, this candle burned down too quickly due to circumstances that pulled you away from tending to it (i.e: work). I would consider re-doing the work and allowing it to burn for the complete 7 days as you had initially planned. Sometimes getting distracted during a working can be a sign that something's not quite right or more focus is required.

At the very least, I'd recommend having a reading done to further gauge this candle's success.

Hello! I have all of my materials needed for my skull candle spell, and I am preparing now for the New Moon/Waxing Moon. This is a skull candled ritual for love and I have a few more questions. I know in traditional Hoodoo, the following may not be very important, however, I'd like to include them in my ritual.

1. What direction should I be facing?

2. What day of the week should I start the spell? I already know Friday is love day, but I just want to be sure since it is also commanding work.

3. Is time of day important?

4. Can I start to prepare the candle and warming up the energy a few days before the waxing moon even though it will during the waning moon phase? Will this have a negative effect?

5. I've elected to do a 7 day ritual. Should I do it 7 consecutive days, or only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Friday?

I will answer your questions in the order you asked them:

1. It doesn't matter.

2. Friday would be a good day.

3. Work the candle when you believe your target will be sleeping, as this is when they are most impressionable.

4. Yes, it's a good idea to prime your candle before lighting it. This will not have a negative effect.

5. 7 consecutive days, or 7 consecutive Fridays. It's up to you.

I am working on a red skull for love during 15 to 20 mins every night and it has been burning slowly.
It's the 7th night and there is still a lot to go. Do you think I should not pinch it out and let it all burn straight through now since it's the 7th day or should I continue to work on it every night even if it passes the 9th day?

If you are seeing signs around the number 11, then I would go with that day.

Pay attention to numbers in general if they keep popping up, they can be sending you messages. I would keep them written down as you seek out patterns. You could also consider playing the lottery with them, if you are so inclined.

Alright I read all 45 pages of this... it took me like a week! I took notes, I have been reading books, and speaking with different resources too. I have planned out some work which includes a white skull candle. I ordered from LM with some oils and stuff I was missing, a few friends also gifted me some LM products which is amazing

Anyway I plan on working block buster and road opener candles before I start my white skull. During this time I plan on baptizing my skull, naming, setting up and speaking to it every day while the target is asleep. It’ll be about 2 weeks before I actually light it. I was wondering if during this time I should be looking for signs and movement? Because it will be named and baptized. Would speaking to it and basically infusing as much intention as I can into it be released now? Or would that intention and work all be released as like a big push once the candle is lit? Thank you so much I’m advanced to anyone and everyone who responds. I’m learning more everyday which makes me so happy and appreciative

It's been my experience that "priming" a candle like this (talking to it for a time prior to lighting it) begins to get the spell's energy out there and working towards your goal. Whether you see signs or movement during this time is not something we can predict, as each situation is unique, however have faith that your petition is starting its journey during this time.

I'm wondering if you can help explain if this is something that can be a result of the red skull candle spell I started yesterday. I fixed it with photo of my target with his name, birthday and personal concern with love me oil, mercury oil, compelling oil five pointed folded towards me and placed in the bottom. Then 7 holes with 7 petitions stating what I want him to say to me with appropriate herbs - catmint, licorice, reconciliation, come to me powder depending on petition. Followed all the instructions and lit the candle. Steady no issues burn. We started communicating again after a huge row that broke us up. Phone calls, texts. Though he didn't want to see me when I suggested it. All of a sudden after last night, he went completely quiet. No communication whatsoever. I know you don't interpret here but my question is do you think that this could be a result of me pushing him to hard to have him ask to see me. I used a heated nail to force the thoughts into his head. Should I burn the candle on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays or every day for seven days considering the sudden silence. We've addressed this elsewhere on the forum, the idea of substituting encapsulated health food herbs in spells. You don't know the source of those herbs, what they may be cut with or how authentic they are to begin with. Don't try to short cut as you may end up short-changing yourself in the long run. Stick with real licorice root for your spell.

Ms. Athena, thank you for your reply. I have a reading scheduled with Miss Cat but it's not till November. She was booked till then. I do my own readings and they are showing residual anger. I've been going easier on the skull candle mostly trying to calm the anger. No use of heated nails. My question is the skull candle is burning steady but very very slow even though I'm burning it at least 30 minutes. Should I go past 7 days to say 9 days or let it burn out on the 7th day? Also, should I use a companion break resistance suggested by Conjureman Ali with cubeb berries? Very much appreciate your thoughts on this.

You do not have to keep baptizing every night. You baptize the first time and then the skull candle *is* your intended.

Is it more beneficial to state each command such as "I (targets full name) love ____" or "You (targets full name) love ____"? I am versed in other areas of Hoodoo candle magic, but skull candles have me a bit perplexed.

Either way. I like using "(targets full name) loves ___" or You (targets full name) love ____" but it's a minor detail that I wouldn't get hung up on. When you go to speak it in the spell, how does it want to come out? I would go with it.

I did a skull candle with some female love domination on my intendant. The candle burnt down fully in 90 minutes only leaving behind part of the back of the skull. I’m not sure if this is a good sign or not?! I didn’t go crazy on the herbs or oils so unsure why this happened...anyone have ideas if this is a good sign or bad?

I think this is kind of common with skull candles. They are molded in a way where you have dense wax in the back and detailed work in the front which seems to burn fast. It could mean some resistance in your work. How about trying a test candle? Keep the remains of the skull candle and burn a small white candle next to it. No anointing, leave it clean. How and what the skull candle will do all depends on your intention and the herbs/curios you use. If that's the effect you intend to have and you're using Destruction products in tandem, for instance, then that is what's likely to happen. If you wanted someone to think a certain way about a situation, one might take a more Controlling/Commanding route.

Hey I did a skull candle on my love interest.. I baptize in the name of the father the son and Holy Spirit .. and talked to it for severals days .. when I wasn’t working it , I left it facing in front of a picture of us together and I told it to think about us and what a good connection and relationship we had .. then I burned it .. flames were high always .. I blew tobacco in its face while it was burning telling it to think of me and only me .. that he miss me .. want and love me .. the candle burn downed to a puddle but the herbs were still burning .. I thought I’ll just let the flames go out in its on .. fall asleep.. it was in a safe place

.. but nothing was left but the burnt herbs and the little wax that was around the rose petals I had surrounding the skull .. I gather what very little was left wrapped it up in some red cloth and tied it tight and buried it at my front door .. I felt happy and good about the outcome of this spell .. but I was wondering it wasn’t the big skull but a small skull .. does the size of the skull candle matter .. let me know thanks in advance

No, the size of the skull doesn't really matter. Small ones burn more quickly but can be as effective as a larger one. Have confidence in your work and a successful outcome.

Personally, colors carry vibrations and those vibrations add energy to the work. It also plays a psychological effect on the worker as they do work with a candle and its color. That being said, Green is also one of the colors associated with Venus and Friday. Here is what Miss Cat wrote about Friday and Venus:

Yes prepare it then baptize it and burn it, Yes talk like its him, you can put a tiny pic in his eye slots of you, dress with reconciliation powder, burn holes in its head and add reconciliation items to make it on his mind, You can also take a cigar and puff smoke into his face as you tell him what to think, or light tobacco and wave it into his face as you tell him what to think. Tobacco is traditional in thought work. Since your work is reconciliation I also suggest you read Psalms 23 and 32 together to bring you back together.

Hi! I started working on a white skull candle today.

It's for my ex, I loved him immensely but he's very immature. He broke up with me drunkenly in December, and then of course begged for me to forgive him and come back. I said no, because well, he hurt me, it wasn't fair at all. I told him we need to be apart and he needs to grow up on his own, and maybe one day we can get back together if things turn out good.
It was all fine, we promised to meet again in some years, but then I started going out with a new person and my ex went nuts about it. He's been acting like I left him for someone else and that I never loved him, and that's just not true. I wanted him and only him, but he was the one who hurt me in the first place.

He's been very affected by this, he's been getting drunk almost daily, harming himself, keeps tweeting about me and how hurt and lonely he is and ughhh I hate it. I care a lot about him but we're just not good for each other right now, I wish we were able to just be happy with what we had and stop making it so painful.

SO ANYWAY, I'm doing the white skull candle for love and healing, I want him to realize I always loved him a lot and it doesn't have to be like this, I want him to seek me out and make peace together.

-Gonna burn from monday to friday
-put a picture of him into the bottom of the skull as a personal concern
-A mixture of coffee, cinnamon and chamomille, which i put into 4 little holes around his head and filled with pink wax
-Lavender oil and myrrh incense
-at 6 am when I'm sure he's asleep, I speak to it for about 10-15 minutes
-I speak to it using a cigarrette from a sort i used to gift to him sometimes
-While I do that I play songs that are relevant to us
-I wrote his full name on his forehead, and what I want him to think on the back "Cihienahualli always loved me, Cihienahualli gave me everything she could, I'll always love Cihienahualli, I want to make things up with Cihienahualli, I accept my mistakes and learn from them"
-Petition under the skull

I lighted a pink candle on his honey jar the day I baptized the skull, just to start "preping him" for the work.

I also did some readings before anything and they said he is very unstable right now, but after this he will understand and feel better, so I'm hopeful for the results yet a little nervous.

Are you working to reconcile with him or to calm him, I am a bit confused.

Coffee in hoodoo is used to uncross, Cat also has a spell to have a husband and a side guy. Cinnamon is used to heat love affairs, or money conditions up. Chamomile is used for money and luck work.

The products you would want to use in a reconciliation working are Balm of Gilead Buds, helps restore lost love and foster forgiveness, rose petals are good for sweet love, Damiana or Spikenard also used for love work and would mix well with those items. Also while you do the work, have a clear petition of what you want, then pray Psalms 23 and 32 to bring you back together.

I agree with JayDee there is a lot going on. Seems like you are very knowledgeable, but maybe do some focus and editing. Cast off evil is used in addiction work. Coffee can be used to remove negativity, but in this case, would be used to speed things up. Cinnamon used to heat things up, and chamomile, I don't understand the reason for that. To treat addiction I support white skull with cast-off evil.
