Hi all,

I recently purchased a raccoon penis bone from LM, and I intend to fix it and place it under my bed so me and my boyfriend can enjoy better sex

I was wondering- should I burn candles to "charge" it, or should I just go ahead and dress it with our combined sexual fluids and oils?

Hello everyone,

Hope everyone had wonderful holidays (Yes I know its a bit late for that) and everyone is doing well. Here in Canada we got a lot of snow and icy winds.

Now, we don't have many root workers here and those who do practice Hoodoo are often hidden and secretive (I know I am most days) even from our own occult community-- I find most of them really don't understand Hoodoo and its practices. For this reason normal conversations about zoological curios are a big no no where I come from. I enjoy quite a bit zoological curios and the essence of an animal, I had the pleasure to learn bits and pieces of Hoodoo from my mother (who at some point talked extensively about Cathrine Yronwode), going through somethings and in this site I had stumbled onto something rather quite interesting that made me kind of wonder and made me think.

The raccoon penis bone is described of having the properties and correspondence to love and gambling if I'm not mistaken, yes?

I read that the bone could be used to dominate over women (in matters of love) or placed under the mattress for love and passion, I was wondering if I could use the raccoon's penis bone for gay love spells by anointing the bone with some Lavender Love Drops Oil, would that work? Or is the bone used entirely for heterosexuality?

Give me your thoughts, I would love to know them.

I can say from experience, both for myself and my clients, that you can most definitely use the bone in that way. Dressed lightly with Lavender Love Drops, Attraction and Kiss Me Now oils and carried in the pocket it can bring a night of passion and help you meet someone new. Dressed with Fire Of Love oil and hid under the bed and it can bring heat back to an old relationship. It is a wounderful (and impressive looking!) tool to have around.

I've read the references above and can see how you'd use them just to carry around or string on a necklace, but one Lucky Mojo reference talks about putting a coon dong in a mojo hand. How would you do that? It seems like it's too long to fit easily. Can you break them into pieces, or did I misunderstand the reference?

I am curious if the raccoon penis bone can be used not just for ensuring sexual happiness between partners, but could it also be fixed in a way to ensure fidelity? Like could you keep it under the mattress dressed with the appropriate personal concerns and maybe some oils for better sex, and also add some things to ensure sexual fidelity?

May need some help: I had a raccoon penis bone in my purse and it accidentally rubbed against a cigar I had. it was partially smoked and I wanted to know will the slight amount of ash affect it? I just put it back in my sugar bowl that's for my guy and I hope this didn't mess anything up.

hello everyone.

i see the terms "raccoon penis bone" and "possum penis bone" being used almost interchangeably. does the term "possum penis bone" wrongly refers to the raccoon's penis bone or are the penis of both raccoons and opossums valid for this purpose?

but just to make it perfectly clear. the penis of the actual opossum isn't actually used to accomplish this and there aren't any magical uses for the actual opossum? i meant to ask this because i've also observed "possum bones" elsewhere in the shop, as in the reading bones set.

thank you for replying and for taking the time of making a research of your own.

I think this subject might require some deeper investigation indeed. The fact that old timers are used to calling the raccoon's penis bone "possum prick" creates a great deal of confusion. From a quick online research I was presented to a fellow's speech on how opossums - actual opossums, there were pictures - are thought to be "hoodoo" by nature (giving to understand that it would some sort of "sorcerous animal", if you may), but then again I have heard the exact same thing about raccoons, which makes me wonder if he wasn't mixing things up.

It was pointed out by him, however, that the fact that it has the habit of eating serpents could serve to testify his spiritual qualities - which puzzles me, since serpents do have several uses in hoodoo and a strong spiritual significance of it's own. Even though, unfortunately, the dubious reputation of the author of such claims forces me to take anything he says with a grain of salt, this subject might be in fact be worth looking into.

When it comes to sources, I might as well have a look at what Hyatt collected, and further on acquire Ms. Cat's book on bone reading - which I could see from the preface that mentions "possum bones", using the plural. Since from the raccoon merely one bone is taken, one could assume that it might in fact refer to actual opossums.

Eventually I could try hiring consultation on this matter, as part of the research. Let's see how it goes.

I would like to put a dressed racoon penis bone under the mattress to bring the fire back and my partner is losing interest in me and he watches so much porn and jerk off daily (will do cast of evil on this matter too).

There is not sanctity to the bone-reading set that would be "defiled" if you use a piece for another purpose. It is customary to dress or suffumigate the bones and shells used in divination, and yet many people will place improvised articles and curios in their sets as well.

So, no, no problem subtracting the raccoon bone and using it in a spell. And, yes, the raccoon bone, although identified a s"masculine," because it is, after all a penis bone, can definitely be used to affect a "very butch and masculine" woman.

Hi Birdie,

Since you're using it to increase his libido, I would anoint your hands with the oil and stroke it as you would your husband's penis and speak to it as you would your husband. Use your imagination, as you know what turns him on best.

Yes, you could dress it in more than one oil but make sure it is complementary to your work, such as one of the love oils (Fire of Love would be a good choice).
