Hello everyone. My family and I have been experiencing a series of BAD luck.

I did a house cleansing a few months back and the results were great ... at first.

Then the bad luck came back and came back hard.

I decided to do another major house cleansing followed by a Run Devil Run Vigil candle. We started the candle on Holy Saturday. The wick was a bit off-center. There was a little popping and hissing when I first lit it, then it burned just fine except there was black soot on the inside rim.

The next day I noticed the wick seemed to be further over to one side, so I got a knife and tried to nudge it more toward the center ... but it didn't move at all. There was a lot of black soot going up the inside closest to the wick. The wick was even closer to the side now and last night I noticed that side of the glass was very hot. This morning I couldn't believe it, but the flame had burned an oval hole in the Run Devil Run label!

At this point, I put the candle out because I was afraid it was a fire hazard. There is a brown scorch mark on the inside of the glass where the burned away label used to be. I must add that from the time I lit the Run Devil Run candle, I have seen wispy white smoke-like things ... very fleeting and sometimes from the corner of my eye. This is new to me. I have seen fleeting shadows from time to time before, but not white wispy smoke like things.

Does anyone have an idea what all of this means? Have any of you experienced anything like this?

When a candle burns in a manner such as this, it can be a sign that there is an obstacle in the way of your success. Run Devil Run candles generally burn clear, like other candles. What you saw shows resistance. You can try another candle and see how it goes.

Sounds like your enemy doesn't want to go anywhere. You might want to touch up that house cleaning before you start another Run Devil Run candle -- which you will surround with bay leaves (and maybe a ring of Law Keep Away Sachet or Incense Powders) to keep the work off your enemy's radar.

I just wrote a detailed update for ya'll, hit submit and was kicked back to the log in screen --- so everything was lost. Obviously my enemy is causing problems with me communicating with ya'll. In my missing update, I explained how I tried to reach an AIRR member for a reading that same day - April 2nd. I left a message on their voice mail,then followed up with an email containing all my contact info. It has been a week and I have not heard back from them. Our iphone mysteriously quit working ( not low battery ) for a few hours that same day, so perhaps they called and could not get through?

In the update,I thanked Apollo Dark and Miss Michaele for their replies. I explained how I did more house cleansing followed by smoking the entire house with FWP incense. I have not yet re-lit the Run Devil Run Vigil candle. I did however, burn a vanilla tea-lite with RDR oil on it, encircled by salt and bay leaves and Law keep Away. That afternoon, April 2nd, an obviously angry enemy tried to attack our ability to earn a living by killing our phone at a critical time for some business dealings. We got it up and running again and smoothed everything out on the business end, BUT the enemy got through to my child at school. She was wrongly punished for something beyond her control. All appeals for justice fell on deaf ears even when they agreed what was happening to her did not make sense. So ... they hit my baby and I am MAD because I couldn't help her!

I am out of town now. Should I have my family re-light the RDR Vigil candle ( on a cookie sheet covered in tin foil in case it catches fire or explodes ), or should I wait until I get back home? I left the house cleansed and protected and everyone is now saying St. Michael's prayer daily for extra protection. Could a half-burned vigil candle have already run the enemy off us, or are they quietly regrouping? This spiritual warfare is new to us. Any advice or guidance would be most appreciated.

It's been a few days and no replies ... did I say something wrong? I still have a partially burned vigil candle ... burning it made someone/something mad and it appears they lashed out on their way out the door as things have been somewhat better since that horrible day. My family wants to finish the burn. If the enemy is indeed "run off", I assume finishing the candle would send another blast for good measure???

I feel I should try contacting another rootworker, since the one I called and emailed doesn't seem to be working out.

My original plan had been to burn the Run Devil Run candle, then start a Reversal candle. Especially after the trouble we had with the RDR candle ... I want to get going on throwing some mess back to "whoever". Please let me know if I am on the right track, with RDR followed by Reversal. I'm sick of our lives being soured.

No doubt one of the reasons you haven't had replies is that your situation is detailed and complex, and to answer some of the questions you pose definitely requires a reading. When it comes to your contact with AIRR members, do make sure that you follow the instructions for contact that they have on the AIRR page or on their sites. Most require payment prior to contact, so just make sure that the financial has been taken care of prior to emailing or phoning them.

Since you've begun the RDR, try finishing that burn. You can work reversal either in tandem or after the RDR - but you also want to make sure to get some Fiery Wall of Protection work up and running. You may even want to work the full FWOP spell and leave the mojo with your daughter as a protective toby. This helps keep you safe from future attacks as well as from the backlash that can occur from an enemy when they sence they're being sent packing.

Thank you Aura. I appreciate your advice. I have Reversal and FWP vigil candles ready to go. I also have a St. Michael candle. I will finish the RDR candle with one of the protection candles going at the same time. I did not realize the backlash that could occur when I burned the Run Devil Run vigil candle ... now I understand that we need to protect, protect, protect. As I said, I am new to all this. I really thought cleansing our home would be enough protection, but hey ... we weren't hit at home, it was away from home they were able to strike. Thank God I incensed and cleansed our vehicle when I did the house! It would appear we all need to have some sort of protection, like a mojo bag, on our persons as well.

I am also still out of town. When I mentioned things were a little better, I meant I had experienced some good luck this past week, but I am a few hundred miles away. My family back home is still facing little aggravations on a daily basis. That is why they want to finish the burn, even if I'm not there. However, my instincts tell me I need to be there too.

The rootworker I contacted requires payment for a simple short reading, but I wanted an "in person", longer reading and offered to bring cash. They offer this service as well as other "in person" type of situations and have an email address and phone number for contact info, so I think I did everything right .... just can't get through. I figured I am being blocked. I mentioned our phone communications were hit in a freaky way, so I assume messages didn't go through to the rootworker, or they didn't notice them or something like that. When I get home, and finish the RDR candle and have my protection candles burning .... I plan on trying to reach them again. Maybe we will be able to connect this next time.

Anyone have experience/thoughts on surrounding an RDR vigil and petition with reversal powder or a trinity of reversal dressed candles (or both) to not only send a particularly evil person packing but also send any mess they tried to throw right with them smack dab on their head? A bit of a one-two punch, if you will. Similar to ideas mentioned in the above posts, but I'm more trying to conceptualize my altar layout if that helps clarify my question. (I apologize if this should have been posted under a more general candle layout thread or reversal thread; given that the RDR vigil is the focus point, I thought this thread would be the most appropriate thread choice. Hopefully I chose correctly? )

You're mixing your objectives here. Run Devil Run is used to drive evil people away, while Reversal is meant to send their evil energy back to them. Choose your goal and focus your spell on that. You could always work separate spells for each objective. I'd just be concerned that you are spreading your energy a bit too much by combining them. Focus is key to successful spellwork.

That’s exactly what I was trying to get my head around, whether combining for a one two punch was even plausible or to stick to handling the two separately. I couldn’t get the concept of combining those two things to work in my head, much less in a physical layout sense so I wasn’t sure if I was just missing something or just barking up the wrong tree entirely, and thought it better to ask for advice and experience rather than keep turning it over and over in my own head. I didn't even feel like I could get my question especially clear, so I figured I was way off the path, and you hit it right on with your advice. Thank you again so much.

Hi, I'm new to this forum. I've been looking for this subject in the forum and haven't found it yet.

I'm burning a confusion candle for my exand wanted to know what I can burn with it.

Can I burn the run devil run at the same time for protection?

I also have a red sacred heart of Jesus candle. Can I burn that as well or should I wait until the confusion candle has burned?

I'm a little confused on what you are trying to do. If you would like protection for yourself, I would burn a Protection or Fiery Wall of Protection vigil candle. You could also wear few dabs of oil as well. I like to draw a cross on the bottoms of my feet if I'm going into a dangerous situation.

Run Devil Run is for driving away evil people and their influence. It can be used for driving away any evil for that matter. That isn't the same as protection though.

You can burn the Jesus candle whenever you wish.

Our prepared 8" glass-encased vigil lights come with a dressing of oils and herbs and will burn for 5 - 7 days, depending on ambient temperature and other factors.

If you wish to set a traditional Novena of nine days, you will either have to start and stop the candle (which can result in a smoky glass), or purchase two candles to run continually over the 9-day period.

Always practice fire safety when setting vigil lights. If you must keep them lit when you are away or asleep, be sure that no pets or children can get into the room with them, that they are not near curtains or flammable cloth or paper, and that you have a smoke alarm in your house. Placing lit vigils in the bathtub is quite common, but you must not have a shower curtain if you use this method. Setting them into a fireplace is ideal, as there is a ready-made chimney for them.

Can you use Run Devil Run, on a person to "exorcise" a potential demonic possession and influence from the person but not driving away the person?

I know some people that I know for sure are possessed by demons, they sometimes spew the most hateful things on social media, I know because I am friends with them. I do like some of them, and never had a problem with them myself, which is because I am good at keeping my mouth shut and not trigger the demon. But honestly, I want to help them, purify their soul from evil influences.

Maybe Cast off evil and Van Van after good choices to burn as well.

Run Devil Run will help remove evil or even evil people depending on the petition. I do like it mixed with Cast Off Evil. If the person is a willing participant I would also use the 13 Herb Spiritual bath to remove curses, crossed condition, spirits. Then add protection. If the person is not willing, then do it via a doll-baby or a white figural candle. I would also add a Fiery Wall of Protection candle to keep the spirit off of them.

Yes that is how I would work it. I would also make a circle with Cast Off Evil and Run Devil Run around the candle, keeping the candle inside the circle.

How would I identify a figural candle as a person of my choice if getting in contact with them is out of question. It is more of a distant work deal without them knowing.

Yes you can do what you asked.

Carve the name in the back, stick a photo below it, baptize it in the name of the person then dress it with oil and herbs.
