Protection from Bias Discrimination Racism Prejudice Police Profiling
A gay couple I know is having difficulty renting a home because of their orientation. They have been turned down by owners time and again because they don't wish a gay couple moving in to their traditional husband-wife-two-kids and-a-dog-neighborhood.
Of course the owners haven't come out and admitted it, but they feel with good reason it has to do with their orientation. The city they live in is extremely conservative. I would like to Set Lights for this problem. If anyone has any helpful suggestions on how to go about this please share.

Justice and Victory would be good for working the discrimination side of the issue. An attraction spell with a lodestone to attract the couple to the right landlord, someone who will give them a good deal on a place and not be prejudiced against them, and a honey jar once they locate a property that they like a lot to sweeten the person to them and their desire to rent an apartment.
good luck,

Hi just today I was researching health and protection spells along with negative spirit removal on the computer. I went out the room to get some tissue and heard him coming up the stairs. I tried to get to the computer to take it off the screen and I did something silly. I pulled the laptop at the mains so he wouldnt see it. wrong move but then he looked in the history and saw what I was looking at and now is calling me the "W" word and I don't like it.
I tried explaining it was just research for health and protection like you saw. It wasnt anything "evil" per say but he called me that name again and I dont know what to do or what steps to take now.

Law Keep Away was originally designed to make "the authorities" turn a blind eye to illegal doings -- but it works just as well on anything you wish to keep private. Dress your computer with the oil. First, though, drop a few poppy seeds into the bottle to help him forget the whole conversation.

Hope this helps,

Re: Protection from Bias Discrimination Racism Prejudice Police Profiling
Hello,
If you were doing work on a current political situation involving an impoverished country led by an inexperienced, hostile and dangerous leader; would you do cast out evil work plus prayer starting with psalms 111 praising God then putting forth your petition or would you do some calming work on the leader with prayer and would you follow with protection work for people affected by this leader along with prayer using Ephesians chap. 6 vs: 11 " Put on the whole armour of God, that ye be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" ?
Thank-you for any input.
Respectfully,
Miss Olivia

You could also light a World Peace candle with a map of the country taped to it.

If the leader of the country is being controlled by evil, perhaps you could add "Run Devil Run" products to the "Cast off Evil" work - to clear away the devils pulling the strings. Follow up with prayers to the Guardian Angel of the country or to Saint Michael to protect the country and the citizens.

All of these ideas offered are great and the entire thread warms my heart to see people truly taking conjure to a whole new level. My favorite tales of work often concern public figures, politics, etc. Best of luck, Miss Olivia.

You might also try Stop Gossip to shut him up. Burn a black candle dressed with Stop Gossip oil on top of his picture, or use a vigil candle. On the picture write "Shut up, (name)!" over the mouth. Write any other commands you wish. When the candle is done, tear the picture into little pieces and throw it in the toilet. Pee and poop on it, then flush him away! Of course you can bury the remnants at a crossroads or in a cemetary.

Hi Moon Breath,
Yes, you're absolutely right, this particular leader I'm talking about is under demonic control. It is an evil strong hold. Many prayer warriors have been working on this situation for quite some time. I thought I could help back them up on the magical end with conjure.
Thank-you for your help.
Thank-you also Joseph Magnuson & Mama Micki.
I'll let ya'll know what I come up with and if the work needs some more refining I'll check back in.
Blessings,
Miss Olivia
PS Mama Micki, I found the exact map I needed yesterday, it was sticking out of a book shelf in a store. Synchronicity is a cool thing. Thank-you again for that tip.

I'm sure you've all heard about the tragedy in Boston on Monday, April 15th, 2013. As an update, one of the suspects was killed in a police confrontation, while the other is on the loose. As a result, most of the city is under lockdown. As luck would have it, the suspect's picture, name, and birthdate are available.

I'd petition St. Michael to ask that the city be protected and true Justice be done. If they've got the wrong guy (unlikely, but possible), he shouldn't go down for something someone else did. If they do have the right guy, then let him be brought in as quickly and quietly as possible without harm to him, the officers, or anyone else.

I have my driver's license and car.I'm not a perfect driver, but I am safe and cautious when I drive. However, sometimes I find that police stop people for no reason, and find an excuse/reason to give you a ticket! My question is,what can I do to be ignored by them while I drive?I want to stay protected while driving.Thank you so much for your time.

Dust your car registration and insurance forms (the ones in the glove compartment) with Law Keep Away. Also smoke your car in the Law Keep Away incense (and some Fiery Wall of Protection is also good for vehicles, won't keep the cops away but it will help protect from accidents.

The state of affairs in this country is sickening. This morning Matt Bevins was elected governor of Kentucky. He has pledged to cut medical benefits, cut medicaid and take away the insurance marketplace where so many people with chronic illnesses, children, single parents and young people are able to buy their health insurance.
Worse still, he is inexperienced and wild as a buck.
I would like to create a space dedicated to social justice, to empower those who fight racism, sexism, agism, homophobia, and in general all the haters out there who work so hard to destroy people's lives.
Apart from being active locally, what lucky mojo products would you recommend?
Frankly, I'd like to make a little doll of him and put him in a mirrored box so that all that hatred goes right back on him. What else could I do to help protect the people he threatens?
Thanks to all for reading and for your responses. God Bless You All!!

Re: Protection from Bias Discrimination Racism Prejudice Police Profiling
Hello All!
I'd like for this to go to Miss Cat:
What are some products I can work with to help pray for this world to heal from all of the hatefulness, racism and evil that has 100% awakened in the world once again?
I know that racism and things like that has been going on forever but I have seen a slight increase in racism since the election of President Obama and to me it looked like it increased even more once he was also elected again in 2012. In 2012 until now I believe me and a lot of other people here in america realized the increase in all of the police shootings of unarmed black men since then and including 2008.
Now since the shocking results on November 8th, 2016 the racism has truly awakened now. I do have a great relationship with God and his son Jesus Christ and also a great communication with them and I also hear from God that he doesn't approve of racism and that it is not something he wants for the world he created and that he wants equality and not separation or a divided world.
I'd like to increase my praying and communication strength with God but I don't know which products to work with, I do know to work with Jesus Christ The King and Sacred Heart of Jesus but I just want to know are there any other great products that I can add to the list? I also would like to pray for the world to heal from all kinds of violence, sexism and homophobia etc.
When it comes to me or us as people praying for a change in something so major like things such as racism and violence it might not work at all but I just look at it as in there is no reason in trying. :)
My apologies if I posted on the wrong topic board, I didn't know which topic board was suitable for this question.

Pure Heart and Mind,
I would first of all recommend lighting a World Peace candle. We make these for use during times of crisis and war, but the principle holds for use in situations of domestic racism.
Regarding the shooting of unarmed black people, i think a three-way approach is good: Law Keep Away products to reduce police profiling, Safe Travel to lessen police approaches against those who are merely going about their daily business, and then if charges are brought against the offending racists, some sort of Court Case work to get them dealt with to the full extent of their crimes.

In looking back on this thread, i feel a need for education of society as well as protection for the innocent and revenge against the transgressors. Clarity work among educators may also be helpful, to teach the young to stay away from racial and religious profiling.

Re: Protection from Bias Discrimination Racism Prejudice Police Profiling
Hello All: An intro about me before I ask my question since it all ties together: I have a good history with this forum. However, I have been running from Hoodoo all my life, for example: My Mom would never move into a house without putting in bread and salt first. Every year, at least once or twice, we (children) were bathed in the leaves of a special tree called "Glory Cedar" and Mom always carried a blue square tied in a cloth in her handbag. I knew enough when falsely arrested by the police in 2016 to purchase a few things here - including John the Conqueror etc - and I was found innocent. However, I would move away from Lucky Mojo, and Magick in general, then return once things got bad. I've finally made the commitment to take the Catherine's course- I realize that despite all my achievements, my problems are caused by Magick and can only be solved by Magick. Before I go into that however, I want to ask one (two-fold) question. I was doing the required reading that Catherine asks before signing up for the course and I read something which bothered me quite a bit: Some might have missed it - but practitioners (not all, surely) would use Hoodoo to help slave owners "keep" their slaves. So, to tie it all together: In the news lately was the severe beating of Tyre Nichols young man by the police. It is evident now to me that most of Black America's issues would be solved by Hoodoo. I remember reading once that Marie Laveau made certain she was treated well by using Hoodoo. 1. Do you think that Black people could have lost that knowledge due to the fact that some practitioners used to that knowledge to keep slaves 'tied' to their masters? 2. Do practitioners turn away requests? I don't think if I lived back in that time, and I was asked to do something like that - that I would have done it. Any thoughts?

AyaAhshaAya,
Miss Cats course is a fantastic goal and I strongly suggest you look into it, make sure you purchase the necessary items, and practice with them. The purpose of ordering them is not to check off a box, but to give you exposure to the work and grow, to prepare you for the course.
Miss Cats Course Info: https://www.luckymojo.com/mojocourse.html
Police brutality has a long systemic history in the United States and has been a weapon of violence against marginalized communities. Yes, it is true Hoodoo can and does help, many workers have used Lucky Mojo products to fend off police, influence politicians, win with a judge. In the Narrative Life of Fredrick Douglass, he discusses using Hoodoo to control a slaveowner, he was instructed to carry a root on his right side (Douglass, pg. 111). Hyatt has many spells in his collection about protection, keeping the police away, even in winning court cases. Zora Neal Hurston in Mules and Men has several pages dedicated to Hoodoo and the work and its use to protect.
1. No I do not think they lost the knowledge, in fact the citations I made above prove that, the work conducted by your mothers as a child, this forum and the work conducted by Miss Cat illustrates it is alive and well. Remember people in the slave times also misused the Bible to support slavery too, while others (abolitionist) used the verses to prove it was wrong and a sin.
2. Yes workers pass on request all the time, each worker has their own ethical standard. Some workers will only do light hearted or right-handed work, good work. Others will do the left-handed work, dark work like cursing. Others will only do it if it is justified. This is why AIRR readers require a reading prior to taking a client to make sure the work is justified.
There is a spell in the Red Folder for social justice, it is a great spell for times like these.

Re: Protection from Bias Discrimination Racism Prejudice Police Profiling
Dear Jay Dee:
Thanks for the quick reply. For clarity's sake I want to emphasize that I was not trying to "to check off a box" -- I've been a customer of LuckyMojo for a very, very long time. I was always drawn to Hoodoo, yet the context in which it was used when I was a child was that it was "bad"...? Being from the Eastern Caribbean, Hoodoo is practiced there under the broader umbrella of Obeah. Although intuitively I have always known how to use certain plants, oils, etc - or perhaps it was my inheritance - you can understand my reticence being shown one thing and taught another. Add to it Catholic teachings which I rejected when I was 12 years old in search of "Truth" as I studied and researched various forms of Magick; a lot that I was confused about became clear. I recently decided to take Catherine's course due to life lessons. In 2016 after being diagnosed with cancer, my daughter and I called into the LMC Radio show and the first question I was asked after the reading was "Are you a lapsed practitioner." The second piece of information was told was that a coffin ritual had been done on me and it was by family members. I did some rituals, used Holistic Medicine and healed. Then another crisis happened. Again I used supplies from Lucky Mojo and again, crisis averted. Twice more something life-changing happened. And each time, I turned to Lucky Mojo and fixed it. I finally realized maybe I am meant to do more with what I know and that Catherine's course is the best way to learn how.

AyaAhshaAya ,
I wasn't suggesting you thought it was a box to check, rather I was explaining the process of the course. On the forum, this name has 2 post, I was not aware that you are a long time customer or follower of the forum. When someone asks about the course it is common for us to send them to that page to learn about the course.
I trust in Lucky Mojo products for their authenticity, the quality of the products and care that goes into them. I also purchase from Lucky Mojo for my needs for the same purpose.
You will learn a lot from her course, and also the thousands of pages on this forum. There is also online video courses that are available which come with the pdf and lifetime ability to review them. Here is the link to them.

Re: Protection from Bias Discrimination Racism Prejudice Police Profiling
Hi AyaAhshaAya,
To build on JayDee comments and answer the questions you posted.
1. Do you think that Black people could have lost that knowledge due to the fact that some practitioners used to that knowledge to keep slaves 'tied' to their masters?
The knowledge is being lost due to elders dying off and not passing it down. Not explaining why things are. I am white, my Grandmother was white, and she grew up in the mountains of Tennesee. I have thoroughly researched my family history to safely say they did not own slaves, and my grandmother was midwived by a former slave (her name was Mosela). I grew up with her doing hoodoo all the time, I didn't know it till I started reading cat's and other books. My Great Aunts had brass mirrors on their porches, when I asked I was told they either had an extra mirror or to check themself before they went to work. No one said it reflected the negative energy from busy highways. Many of those white masters came with their own magic, be it German Hexerei, Irish Fairy, Spanish, or Italian all have magic traditions that merged into hoodoo. An example is Haint blue from the Gulla region of Carolina. Haint is a French word, in Gullah, it means ghost or boohag, and in French it means infection. You see the same in blue bottle trees in New Orleans. The Gullah borrowed haint blue from French masters, before overtaking them.
2. Do practitioners turn away requests? I don't think if I lived back in that time, and I was asked to do something like that - that I would have done it. Any thoughts?
Absolutely, workers do not take work all the time. I don't do reading for medical issues, others may not do work to free a murderer, rapist, or mass murder. Many workers will not death curse for paying clients because of the price the worker pays if the work is reversed. Some people only do success work, some do glamor. Each practitioner comes with their own code of ethics and their own yes-no list. If you take clients you will come up with a list you will not do. It may be you would cause a divorce so the gold digger can marry the husband. It may be you will not free rapiest, it may be you only do curses. Your magic is yours to decide how you want to use it. May your ancestors, faith, and personal ethics guild you.
Best of luck,
Mr. Christopher

Re: Protection from Bias Discrimination Racism Prejudice Police Profiling
Thank you, Christopher. I've given this a lot of thought. I've gone over my story only very briefly, since I didn't want this Social Justice question to be about me - though my life's journey to here, this moment, is a doozy.
For many reasons, I've used Lucky Mojo since 2014, subscribed July 27th 2014. I've two previous forum names but don't recall if I ever posted anything. But I was also very busy. I am a writer and (perhaps due to being very creative) I've a ton of questions about our current "reality" and Magick's place in it. I do think that a knowledge and use of Hoodoo could have saved a lot of lives of Black people like me in their interactions with the police. One example? Bend Over oil carried in the car. When you pass your license over - the cop touches it too. I think the influences causing racism are demonic and should be handled Magickally. And though Hoodoo is considered "Low Magic" by some Golden Dawn. etc Magicians; I think it's actually the purest, most accessible Magick on this earth. You can use nature, food, water, your own fluids - anything and everything around you to create change provided you learn about Hoodoo from a teacher like Catherine - whose dedication is clearly evident - first.
Hoodoo should be used more in Social Justice, I firmly believe. I use the words "Black people" because although literally anyone with dark skin is typified here as "African American", whether Caribbean, Latin American, Africans (from Africa), Black South Americans do not see themselves as "African American." Even Black Americans born here are not literally African Americans; I've had conversations with some who find the term offensive. They're Black and American. They were born here. They have no conscious memories or connection with Africa- as glorious a place as it is; I've had conversations with African women and they're some of the most beautiful, dynamic women, far from the stereotypical portrayal. You know who's "African American"? Charlize Theron. She's from South Africa and is a Naturalized American. But...Systemic racism is so firmly entrenched that stating this fact would blow people's minds.
To keep things short and keep myself from rambling: I'd like to get thoughts, ideas, feedback from practitioners and forum members re. my epiphany that Hoodoo is perfect for addressing Social Justice, systematic , economic, entrenched racist Injustice (about which I've written extensively) on a selfless level. Not merely as it affects us, or our families, personally -- but in a more collective sense as part of a global community wishing to install change for the better. And if I've offended anyone reading this. I am truly sorry. After 9 years, I've made an irrevocable decision to move ahead and take Catherine course, and I want to share my thoughts and feelings with like-minded people and obtain feedback as part of my ongoing commitment to this path and my purpose.

Great to see you are interested in the course, by the way, it's cat with little c.
There are many workers for justice Miss Michaele did a whole Hoodoo Heritage Festival class on it online-class-hoodoo-and-conjure-for-soc ... 98005.html

Social justice work of many kinds is as old as tyranny -- and has been assisted by magical spells ever since magic began. The quest for justice continues, at our altars, in the spiritual realm, and in the larger world. Miss Michaele will show you how to use folkloric conjure spells and simple prayers to establish and maintain a permanent justice altar, draw attention to injustice wherever it occurs, influence lawmakers to do right by their constituents, and cause law officers to actually follow the laws they have sworn to uphold.

Hoodoo does not have a creed, clergy, membership fee, or oath, it is available to all.

Thank you, Christopher - for that kind reply. I will do my best to remember cat's preferences on how her name is spelled. I appreciate the clarification. And thank you for those resources and links. Nothing happens by coincidence, does it?
Sometimes it takes a while, but just as old sins have long shadows, so do good deeds and lessons. It was re-reading cat's treatise on Hoodoo and its origins while browsing after placing an order, that was the catalyst for my decision to take her class, because it brought everything home to me:
After being a newsletter subscriber and customer since 2014; I called into The Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour on February 8th, 2016: Ms Michaele was one of the practitioners sitting in. After that call, my daughter and I emailed her the next day, Feb 9th; and booked an urgent reading for February 20th, 2016 - reminding her that I was the young lady with the especially "Troubled Hand". Curiously, the day of her reading with us, she had a power outage in her neighborhood!
Full circle, 2023... So you can bet I take this very seriously and am grateful for every bit of help.

Hello AyaAhshaAya,
Being a part of the LGBTQ+ community and one that actively works towards social justice on a micro as well as macro level, I would agree that Hoodoo is in many ways ideal for advancing social justice movements when applied appropriately and precisely. The fluidity of the practices lends itself to the ability to enact powerful changes with systemic reach, digging in to those niches where the "roots" of the problems lay. For myself, my main motivation in life for as long as I can remember has been to help others and Hoodoo has been an integral and effective addition to how I can accomplish my goal. Participating in the global community that is this forum as well as collaborating with my colleagues and friends in AIRR has only augmented the potentialities Hoodoo holds.
I'm excited that you've taken the steps to enroll in the Correspondence Course, and I look forward to seeing you in the students forum. I think it will be a wonderful journey for you!
Blessings and best regards,
Reverend Art

Re: Protection from Bias Discrimination Racism Prejudice Police Profiling
Hello, AyaAhshaAya,
First, although i spell my own name lower case, based on my handwriting, i don't much expect to see it typeset that way. I do love that my friends care, though -- so sweet and loyal of them!
Second, the "right" term to use is always shifting and changing. I am 75 years old, and i remember the struggle in the 1950s just to get people to say and write "Negro," rather than "Colored" or that other word. Black had its day, Colored was briefly reclaimed and ignored, then Afro-American, then African-American, then Black came around again. I have been a writer for so long you will find all of those words (except "Colored") in my writing of one decade or another. The same goes for other ethnic and identity names that describe people by nationality, gender identification, gender preference, ethno-religious community, and so forth. We all know what is dis-respectful, but what is respectful varies a bit over time, so good folks try to keep up to speed.
As for hoodoo and social justice -- that is a deep topic, and there is much to say. Blending the spiritual with the pragmatic is the best way, in my opinion. Bayard Rustin was a great influence on me. He made wanting to do right look so easy.
I would be glad to have you as a student and i hope my course lives up to your expectations.
