Here is a suggestion: how about an episode in regards to maintaining a positive attitude or to not obsess over spells, particularly those in which there are heavy emotions, or when time is not on your side, as this will kill any chance there is of success. I have seen time and time again as a health professional that a positive attitude often yields a positive outcome, and even when someone’s prognosis was poor or they are terminal, oftentimes they died a peaceful death.

I love your suggestions! I do think many people would benefit from a positive mindset and outlook on the situation they are working on. Being properly mentally prepared for the work, and how others do that is a great topic! It also is a common topic also in Psychology when discussing human behavior, not having a self-defeating attitude but one of belief and trust in the work.

This is an interesting topic.

First there is the fact that hoodoo is African American folk magic -- and one's family may be racist.

Second there is the possibility that one's family may be anti-magical (e.g. belonging to a religious sect that forbids the practice of magic) or anti-spiritual (e.g. strict rationalists).

Third there are fearful people who, for the above reasons or other reasons, are fearful of "coming out" to families about the practice of folk magic due to a self-defeating attitude toward family dynamics.

A fascinating and multifarious topic.

I was commenting on Crazycatlady post prior about positive attitudes, not obsessing over work, positive mindset, how important this is in doing rootwork. I see many new practitioners who come for a deep desire, obsess over it, freak out over it. I can see a great topic on how to be positive about work, how to think while doing work, what to avoid etc. I do agree with all of your comments on sharing about magic and uses, many cultures are anti-magic and most hide them in plain sight but call them something different. Thank you for the wonderful insight and thought on the subject, even in modern days we still see a lot of these issues. I have friends that describe hoodoo to me, but have no idea what it is and do not believe in magic.

Thanks to both of you Miss Cat and JayDee. The reason I would be interested in the one about “coming out” is because unfortunately, most people are sadly misinformed about the entire topic. I might expect to receive some ridicule from some people, such as “it’s all a bunch of hogwash,” “People who practice it are devil worshippers,” “those kind of people are eccentric and easily influenced” and so forth, the possibilities are endless as to what others believe. What most people don’t know is that Catholic saints, Jewish and Hindu deities and archangels are often called upon/petitioned for assistance. And they also need to realize that those who do practice it don’t believe they’re going to marry their favorite celebrity or become a multi millionaire at the twitch of their nose LOL. Although some people are going to believe what they want to believe and sometimes there ain’t no changing their mind, some good comebacks to maybe dispel their false beliefs would be nice.

Another suggestion: episodes that compare and contrast the different oils in different categories. For example, one episode could cover love/reconciliation/attraction oils, another about cursing/crossing, another about domination/control, and so forth. The guest speaker could be an AIRR member who is best known for the specific category or whose specialty is that category. When discussing the different types oils in that category, the speaker (and of course Miss Cat and Conjure Man) could discuss different scenarios or the intent of the spell and which oil would be the most appropriate and/or why another type of oil may or may not be the best choice.

As the board operator of the show, i want to alert people to the problems we have been beginning to experience with our Blog Talk Radio service. Listeners, callers, and even our hosts, guests, announcers, and the board op (yours truly) have been bumped out of the live stream during shows. Calling back in usually fixed the problem, so be aware this is nothing personal -- it is happening to many people, and also on other live shows broadcast through BTR.

Nagasiva is correct -- BTR has been experiencing connectivity issues during live shows. The archived shows are stable. Their customer service people say they are aware of the issue and that things are being fixed. We are patient.

To get a reading on the show, you need to sign up ahead of time, then call in at the proper time, they will put you on hold, when it is your turn, if you get selected, they will bring you on. There is no other way to get a reading on the show but doing it in this manner.

You would sign up on this page, there will be a page made that states the day of the radio show and the topic, and for those to sign up.

I had a reading last night on the Hoodoo Rootwork Hour. It was fantastic and very detailed. I wrote down as much as I could but didn't get it all. I don't think the chat log catches everything, so I would love to revisit the show by listening to it again.

I know some shows are available for rebroadcast, but I am not sure if all the shows are archived to relisten to.

Could you please let me know if all shows are available for rebroadcast and/or if the November 7, 2021 show will be available in the future to replay? If so, please let me know where to find the rebroadcast list.

If you had a reading on the radio show that is all the advice they will give -- two readings and a rootwork prescription; they do not read for you again on the forum, but they may reply to questions about rootwork. You can go back and listen, you can read the chat log transcripts. If you need more clarity I would set a reading with one of the members via AIRR or Hoodoo Psychics and perhaps ask here on the forum about the rootwork -- but be prepared to ask specific questions, not a vague "what does it all mean" question. .

The radio show chat logs, which are posted here on the Forum, contain the complete text of each week's Free Spell, with all ingredients. The other spells given during the course of each show are, hopefully, captured in the chat log, but sometimes they do fly by very quickly and the people doing the transcriptions may miss something, so going back and replaying the segment will be most helpful.

Many of the spells given on the show are traditional and will be generally well known to most professional rootworkers here. Sometimes a book will be recommended, and these books are inexpensive and contain a lot of helpful information. You can buy them from Lucky Mojo or from Amazon.

Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork hour is particularly interesting given its topics. I must attest how on point Conjureman and Miss Cat's prediction for this year on the Spring Equinox prediction podcast turned out to be in regard to war in the Middle East!

I hope each year you would do shows similar to this one as they turn out accurate and interesting, even if as I've mentioned the 20's have to be one of the worst decade experienced thus far.

Hello! I hoping to get a reading on the next show to give me some insight into the feedback I've been getting on my candle orders where the candle burns well but also shows sign of resistance that I am hoping have been overcame but below is the latest candle report I have for a block buster "interpreted by Colleen on 10/26/2023, with the following result:
This was an odd burn. The candle is crystal clear, with no inclusions on the walls at all It would be a beautiful burn except there is a 2 inch black ring of char on top and scorching to the petition and both the front and rear label. Scorching means anger and this suggests there may have been a strong and angry attempt to block your work. You may need to continue with burning candles or try a stronger form of rootwork."

If @catherineyronwode recalls from a phone consult, previous candles had similar results & we discussed the blockbuster might help, does the candle reading above mean its still working?

We do not do candle divination on the forum, you can call an AIRR member or Hoodoo Psychic member for that. A black char indicates a strong block but with it clearing at the bottom, it indicates over time and persistence you will overcome it.

Hi I had a reading done and root work advice was given by Ms. Cat, two Sunday's ago.

I just had an amazing experience with my first reading and conjure event. Met a bunch of people who resonated with the readings, and it made me confident and assured me about being on the right path.
The weather was iffy and the event was about to be cancelled, and this was shown in the reading. Yet it remained rain free.

Hello, I had a reading a few weeks ago, I'm YuliLoveParis. I have court on Monday and was told to follow up with you guys after getting the Court Case oil and baths, along with the candles and Psalms 5 readings. Unfortunately I was arrested by my ex on Christmas day, he was successful in getting a temporary restraining order against me. This is the 2nd time he does it. In other news, the problems with BlogTalkRadio have continued to the point that several shows had to be conducted via Zoom. We were looking around for another service when we got the news directly from BlogtalkRadio that they will be shutting down their service on January 31st, 2025.

From where this Forum operates, in the USA, you posted your message in the morning of January 19th, 2025, but the show goes live later this afternoon. You are in another time zone, in Europe -- probably 8 hours ahead of us.

There is no "number to call in. Since January 1st, 2025, we are broadcasting live on YouTube . The show you signed up for is this afternoon at 3:00 PM ---> Pacific Time <-- Sunday, January 19th, 2025. You cannot join the chat until the show is live.

We already have your question as written and we will reply. You can participate when the show goes live if you are still awake (it will be night time in Europe by then). Hope to hear you!

If you are asleep by the time the show is actually broadcast, never fear -- it will be archived at YouTube and you may listen to our replies at any time.

Some folks have been reporting difficulty getting into the "on stage" (live voice) area of our YouTube channel. Others are getting in just fine.

If you cannot get in, the fault may lay with your browser or your software -- but DON'T PANIC -- we will read your question out loud for you and reply with our usual two readings and a custom-designed spell just for you.

That's why it is important to log your question IN THE FORUM as instructed, so we can post it in the chat and read it for you if you can't get on in vocal form.
