I ran across this recent article about an ancient amulet to protect against the evil eye found in Israel. It was lost after the initial discovery and just recently found 40 years later. 40 years, a good biblical number. It is inscribed with the name of God and symbols to protect against demons and the curse of the evil eye.

I was watching a TV show about Chile, South America this weekend. A lady had red ribbons tied around the neck of her llamas to protect them against the evil eye.

The AIRR Tech Team skeleton crew gathered in the Graveyard of Time to pay respectful homage to the late, great Henri Gamache, author of the such enduring 1940s hoodoo drugstore classics as "The Magic of Herbs," "The Master Book of Candle Burning," "Terrors of the Evil Eye Exposed," and "Mystery of the Long Lost 8th, 9th & 10th Books of Moses" -- and to reveal beneath the ghostly shroud the actual personage of the author, Anne Fleitman! Catherine Yronwode wrote the page with contributions by Lukianos and Nagasiva Yronwode. Nagasiva scanned and photo-edited the art, he and Lukianos did proofreading. Lukianos did site-wide linking, and Nagasiva created this graphic announcement. Check out our authoritative new page on Henri Gamache!
