Welcoming Jujugiggles as a Moderator!

Unread post by Devi Spring » Fri Aug 06, 2010 2:38 pm

Just logged on to find that I have access to all the admin stuff. Just wondering if this was a universal error or what?
Thanks!

No, hon , it's NOT an accident. YOU'RE A MODERATOR NOW! Hooray for you!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the good work you are doing here.

You can now delete spam, lock ugly threads, send warnings to bad users, and earn monthly gift certificates at Lucky Mojo!

Yep -- you will get rewards for doing what you do. Lara should send you a notice about that soon. If she doesn't just email her, okay?

And if you want a FORUM STAFF thingie to add to your avatar, go ahead and grab it from someplace, or ask Lara, okay?

If you need help, just ask.

The best tools, in my opinion, are merge topic, move topic, delete topic, lock topic (the quick-mod tools).

When you move a topic, please announce it but do NOT "leave a shadow topic." Leaving the shadow topic is the default, so you have to UNclick it every time.

You can warn people too -- and when you do, please do it from within their post -- that is, get into their post via "edit", click the grey ! sign (not the red ! for report post, but the grey ! for warn user) and tell them that the post has been edited or deleted and state why. Tell them also that they get three warnings and then they may be banned.

Enjoy!

Thanks again. I'll take some time to read through the admin threads and also explore the feature buttons.

Congrats to you Juju. My wife and I were JUST discussing how much you help the boards and I log in to find this thread.

This is the SMARTEST thing to happen on here in a while. You are perfect and already do 85% of the moderator job.

I am pleased! Yay Cat and Yay Juju!

Just a further note: We do need more mods, so anyone who is a course graduate, posts regularly, and wants to be a moderator, please contact me via the HRC GRADS Yahoo Group! Remember, some of you do not use your real names here and i have no way of tracking whether you are a graduate or not except via your real name. It took me more than a year to learn that jujugiggles is who she is!
