Road Opening for New Paths in Spells for Family Money Love Spirituality School

I got a R.O fixed vigil candle that i want to burn for my parents and myself since we seem to be stuck at the moment and I remember I had a LM reader suggest this candle. I remember seeing a thread that someone started that I can't find now and I looked at 25 threads and cant remember where it is (if someone can please post it here i'd greatly appreciate it).

The spell consisted on placing the RO candle in the middle and other candles sorrounding it I think each to represent a situation like health, work, money etc. I was thinking of trying this but I am not sure of how to go about it. For ex. for the petition paper do I put all of our names in the middle and sorround it with my petition? and do I need to put a petition paper under each individual candle sorrounding it or can I just place it under the RO candle? Since each candle will represent a part of our lives I should probably write on the candle or petition paper what it represents and what I am wanting. i was also thinking of dressing each candle with crown of success and fast luck oil. I know there is a variaty of different ways I could go with this but I'd appreciate some suggestions or even that link if anyone can find it.

I dont know of the spell you speak of. However, I would put the road opener candle in the middle as you stated. I would put a petition under the road opener candle for the all the individuals. So for example. "May all roads be open in health, work, money, and so on for jane, joe, and jack." Then for each candle around it you can pick appropriate colors, and dress it with road opening,and/or van van oil. You can write a petition for each candle, but it is not necessary since you did that in the petition above and you are going to put it under the road opening candle. I would just write on each candle. Open road for " work" on the work candle Open road for health on the health candle, and so on.

ahh this is much simpler! I might just do this one. I hace special oil #20 I'm sure I can use that to dress the candles too

Thank you Devi. I'm a night person to begin with and that combined with a traditional 9-5 job, plus some health issues that already make getting proper rest difficult, I'm finding it easier to do them and dispose of the water before bed, rather than attempting to wake up 'too early' then dealing with the physical repercussions during the day.

How can I help a friend from confusion? She needs need help.

She doesn't know what to do with her life. She feels that she has been held back in life.

people dislike her. jealousy and envy is there with people.

I have seen this for myself and she is just in confusion, so can anybody give me a remedy?

The best bet would be to get a reading with a rootworker on the matter. They can look deeply into why she's feeling held back, if there are outside influences for her being held back or not, and then how best to start moving her forward. You can find a list of good workers at AIRR:

I recently had a wonderful reading with Cat were she mentioned that I do a road opener spell to help bring clarity to a lawsuit that I am trying to persue. (sorry that was sooo winded). I have been doing a ton of reading and just need to bounce some ideas around and just what opinions are out there.

Van Van oil and the LM Van Van spell kit seem to one of my chooses but it not the same as the road opener oil. Would working with Ganesh help?

I would really like to make as much of the needed supplies as possible: the sachet powder, oils and bath crystals.

No I don't have a connection with Ganesha already - although I have a beautiful bronze staue of Ganesha in all the glory. I am truly dedicated to those that I have worked with past - would it be hard to try to estibalish this connection. I have worked with Mantra's in the past and use my mala during my daily meditation.
How would I begin this process.

Road Opener and Van Van can seem to some people to have similar intents, but they are different, from different recipes, and from different cultures.

You can use either to clear the way and remove obstacles, but the manner of working is different:

We speak of using Van Van for cleaning away spiritual messes and changing a run of bad luck into good luck, but we do not go to a crossroads to perform a Van Van spell. Chinese Wash is also related to Van Van and it is used for spiritual cleaning.

On the other hand, while we may go to a crossroads to perform a Road Opener spell, we never speak of washing our doorstep with Road Opener Oil in scrub water to take off an evil mess left by a bad visitor.

You can order the kit, have MISC set lights for you, or take a series of baths. It is up to you.

With respect to the Hindu deity Ganesha as an opener of the way:

It's not hard to establish a connection, but it can take some time to draw his spirit to you in some cases. Johannes is right in that a divination would help determine if he would come through for you in the time frame which you require.

Doing a small daily puja (ritual worship) by offering each of the five elements and spending some time chanting is the easiest way to attract his presence into your altar and life. For Road Opening work, I would use OM GAM Ganapatayei namaha for the mantra. The way I was taught, if you are using a mantra to transform something in your life, you should chant it as much as your stamina allows (with the ideal being at least 10 rounds of the mala at least once daily, but you may need to work up to that) for 40 days. In my experience, if you have a relationship with the deity whose mantra you are using for that work, the mantra can often aid in the manifestation of your goal much faster than that. That is why I suggest that - that and I personally don't like seeing Hindu deities get treated like gumball machines for favors and then forgotten about (not that you would do that) afterwards.

Van Van and Road Opener are more traditional products in the hoodoo tradition, of course.

Thank you all so much for the awesome information.

I did read the section on working with the Hindu Deities prior to posting. With regards to placement on my altar - can I set one up specifically for working Ganesha? one that I could use daily as part of my meditation/mantra practice? Is there any recommendations regarding what to place on my altar? Do you have an altar tray with your bell, spices, offerrings , set up just for working with Ganesha?

Yes you can make an altar just for Ganesh. All you need to start with on your altar is an image or statue of him.

I use to use the traditional puja tray, and I still have it, but generally I just make my offerings on small plate. I use candles rather than ghee lamps as they are easier for me, and I just use a regular incense holder. I also do not use all the traditional offerings - I believe that it's also 15 offerings - as they culturally do not resonate with me; I just make sure to offer food (Earth), water (Water), incense (Air), a candle (Fire), and mantras (Spirit). That is really the core of the offerings, offering back a symbol of all the various parts of life that the deity provides for us, and that can be most simply be represented by offering one of each of the elements.

Originally I did have an altar just for Ganesha when I was first developing a relationship with him. Now he sits on my prosperity altar along with Lakshmi and other ongoing money-works. When I make offerings to him, I just present it to him directly on that altar.

The Lucky Mojo Hindu Deity incenses and oils are fantastic for using in these rituals!

If you wish to work in the African-American hoodoo tradition, you would be working with Van Van or Road Opener, and you could blend these with your Ganesh products, should you wish.

i want to get a reading from someone that knows, not asking me a bunch of questions, i really dont know what i want, i do know i want something better than what i presently have, my life isnt what i want, its not a badd life,, i want to move towards my destiny, i realize things are changing,,, of course i want and need money, love,happiness, ,,,,, also need protection from harm- seem like ppl want to see me down...

Good afternoon all!

Last new years I resolved to fill a notebook with positivity. I thought it would make me more mindful of them. Every day I counted my blessings, 5 of them to be exact. The entries range from the smell of springtime to the love of my family. You get the idea, it's whatever blissed me out at the moment. Now I have this notebook but I'm not sure how to use it to draw more of the good that is in it, into my life. I was thinking that maybe I would burn it?

Anyone have any suggestions?

I would get an attraction vigil light and place it on top of the notebook. In addition, I would make sure that you cleanse yourself regularly, and I would consider burning a road opener on top of the notebook as well. Also, make sure you are actually open to receiving good positive things in your life, realistic about these things, and actually putting yourself in situations to receive positivity ( what I mean by this is certain things can not be done without a bit of leg work and not by sitting in your house).

oh i wouldn't burn it at all, i would keep it for sure.

what i would do is get a pretty box to keep it in and start a new one!
then you can keep them in your "bliss box" and look over them when feeling blue.
I would also follow starsinthesky's great advice as well.

Yeah burning it seems wrong to me. I wouldnt burn it but I would do the bliss box which you can sprinkle some road opener, van van, and attraction powder. Or you can even put a lodestone and feed it to attract those things you speak of.

Spookyredhead I can totally see your line of thinking about burning it to release it, but to me burning always seems like a banishment. I've thought of writing prayers on joss paper and burning them to get to the spirits but burning always seems like banishing or releasing to me so I haven't done it.

The suggestions stars gives for powders in the box are excellent!
I'd also put pictures of things that
make you feel blissful and things of that nature. Burning candles on top is a lovely idea.

Wow, these are great ideas!
I think you have a great nucleus for a Positive Attraction Altar, built around your Bliss box and the book(s) inside it, and the candles and Lodestone already suggested.
Over the last few weeks, Miss Cat has given a couple of recommendations on constructing altars to particular causes on the Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Radio show on Blogtalk radio.

Build an altar! This is something you want to be part of your life so build an altar. Set it up with pictures of the things that you've written down--images, little toys, anything that really places you in the mood your notebooks is written in. Place a large lodestone on top of your notebook. Feed that Lodestone with some magnetic sand. On the plate with the Lodestone place mojo beans which are great for bringing your wishes. Mix Blessing and Attraction bath crystals in a spray and spray around the altar and regularly set lights on this altar of yours to bring in the things that you desire. Regularly burn Attraction Incense with a pinch of Althaea leaves in there to get the aid of the good spirits.

Oh my goodness! You guys are awesome! I feel so well equipped to use my bliss book! And I wasn't going to (because it can be cumbersome) but I think I might continue this practice into the new year. Then I can just keep adding more good to the pile.

Can I put this next to my alter to Erzulie Danto? She is who I ask to protect me and my family from those who wish to do me harm. Or should they be separate?

I would love to listen to the podcasts of the last few weeks radio shows but for some reason itunes is saying that the url is invalid. I might just have to listen to them from my computer. Miss Cat blows my mind with her advice! I hope I can meet her some day.

As for the altar location, it is really up to you (and Erzulie). Personnally I'd make them separated, but by that I mean just not all mixed together. Don't see a reason not to have them side by side.

Hi there,

For a while now I've been feeling stuck in many levels of my life and I would love to use something to give me that extra energy to move forward. I'm not sure what to use though. I've been thinking of using Road Opener products along with Van Van as a floor wash in my apartment.

To give you more information about my situation - I feel spiritually, creatively, and financially blocked. It's like there is another level of engagement with LIFE and I don't make the choices that would take me into that level of responsibility and engagement in those areas of my life. On a spiritual level I've studied many years with a teacher well known in Western Esoteric Tradition but I'm not able to take the next step (confidence?) and start teaching classes myself. On a creative level I'm a performance artist that performs regularly, but I'm not satisfied wholly with what I'm doing and I know that there is another level of commitment that I could bring to my performances. On a financial level I keep making the same choices over and over again that keep me living paycheck to paycheck.

I think that all of these examples are different expressions of the same blockage and that if I were to somehow take things to the next level that I could move past them. I've even wondered if someone has me fixed, but I also wonder if that's a way to not accept responsibility for my own choices.

Do you think that Road Opener would help me to move past these obstacles? Would you recommend another course of action?

Using Venus and Mercury oils may help you get artistically inspired and be able to express that readily.

I have some non-magical advice...

I am a graphic designer and am called upon to be creative on a dime. Sometimes when I'm blocked, the best thing to do is work on something else for a while. In your case, maybe work on a song that has nothing to do with the demo you're working on. Something that maybe is even out of the genre you normally work in. Do that for a day-or two (or whatever fits your timeline) and then go back to your "have-to" work.

Also, you are putting a lot of pressure on yourself to be creative in a very structured format. By coming up with all the premises at once, you might be blocking your creativity a bit. Pick the one that speaks to you the most and start there. Allow yourself to ditch some of the ideas you have come up with for other songs if new ideas seem to sprout.

I have been doing may various ways of cleansing negativity. Due to years of negative thinking the negative thought process return, thus drawing negative energy back to me (Yes, I am working to overcome the negative thought processes, but it is taking some time and patience).

What can I due to open my mind/soul to the positive, that which I already have in my life?

Hi,

I recently had 2 road opener candles burned at the MISC to open the road for me and the guy that I want to start spending time together and dating each other again. The first candle report said that the candle didn't leave any wax but showed obstacles. The second candle burned completely clean, no obstacles and showed a sign of good things to come.

I have 2 questions:

1) Do I need to continue to burn road openers to keep the road open or move onto other work? I just finished a lodestone love spell on him last week. I would like to do a honey jar but not sure how well it would work since I don't have any of his personal items.

2) I purchased some road opener oil. If I use the same petition, I would dress the candle from the wick to the base to move the obstacles away, correct??

I should mention that we've never been on bad terms, it's just that whenever we've had contact, he pulls away after a bit and then I don't hear from him for awhile. I did text him a Merry Christmas and invited him over to my house. He said he would come for sure in the new year. I might try burning a skull candle to keep me on his mind.

1) No, your candle burned clean, move on to other work to bring him to you which you are doing 'the lodestone love spell' When he comes over in the New Year, get some personal concerns, rub your hands through his hair and get some strains.

Have you had a reading on this guy to see which spell would be more effective in getting what you want or if he is interested?

you can burn another candle if you want to see if the results are the same because 2 burned different IE get another candle perspective. otherwise id agree to do other work if this is a love interest id move into do more love work like a come to me spell kit. A reading would surely help and tell you what work specifically to do. Of courae a honey jar while you wait for the reading could not hurt so you dont feel like your a sitting duck. LM has them for your case and they work great to sweeten a person to ya..good luck

Hi Everyone,

I recently called on the help of St. Expedite late Wednesday night. I asked for financial help which relates to increasing business and love. As part of that request, I asked that he assist with my application to be on a show in California. I also have a guy I used to date that I reunited with on New Years Day. I hadn't seen him in 10 years. Was so great spending time with him. He also lives in California.

Well on Thursday I was listening to my iPhone, trying to turn off Pandora and "California Love" started playing. One of my friends called me and way off topic out of the blue asked if I missed California (I used to live in LA). Later that afternoon I was watching Family Feud with my mom and one of the ?'s was name a warm weather city. The number one answer was Los Angeles, CA. Then I was in bed reading my email and my friend had sent a short 2011 horoscope questionnaire. One of the questions was, "Which do you like better - California or Florida?".

Well those signs popped up very quickly but it is within the 3 day time frame. But WOW!! I wonder if they are signs that I may move to Cali, win the show, or be with my friend? Any of those would be great - all would be wonderful!

My candle is burning smoothly (little bit of wax sticking to inside of jar in light wax rings but is very clean burning and is burning QUICKLY! After burning for about 30 hours it is burned down by 1/3 almost to half way. So at this rate would burn in 3 days.

I know that I've read that if it burns to quickly that results are fast and won't last. Is that the case here? And do I need to burn another candle so that it burns for 7 days?

I have faith that this year will give me all or some of my hearts desires. It's moving in the right direction so far.

You asked for the help of St. Expedite. He works fast, and in a hurry. You need to make sure you PAY him when your petition is granted, and it looks like it very well will be given the signs. In this case, I don't think that your results will not last once its granted, but rather it saint expedite is working for you as quickly as the circumstances allows him to do so.

Thanks! That is good to hear! I have Crown of Success Oil and Attraction Sachet but that is it as it relates to that piece of it. I do want some of these items but funds are very tight for the next couple of weeks.

I wonder if I could get a green candle, anoint it with Crown of Success Oil, dust myself/candle with attraction sachet powder and order some I Can You Can't Incense (since this is long distance)? Right a petition as part of the spell?

I previously read all the links but its tough to figure out what to use when its all in separate categories, how to integrate into one spell. Competition, Attraction and Success.

Yes, you can dress a candle with crown of success oil,and dust the candle with attraction oil. I can, you can't you can learn more about it through the forum so feel free to search that. It is more of like a personal power kind of oil to give you that extra edge. But you can use the I can you can't incense that way. If you had more funds, I would suggesting making a separate candle for the I can you can't but the way you stated is okay too. Remember its all in your intentions, and your focus.

I'm new to all of this, but I had excellent luck starting with a cleansing/uncrossing ritual and following it up with Van Van to open the road and bring good luck to the fore. After the Van Van, I feel ready to start drawing for specific goals.

I need help separating myself from my family. I was raised to be the family martyr. Everyone else first and myself last, including my parents. Not until these past few years I've realized how they all use me for whatever they can. And if I need something heaven forbid I go to them. They've always been dependent on me. And I've been taking care of them for so long I don't know how to break away from them. When I try there is always something financial wrong on my end that forces me back or they need me to save the day for some reason.

I need to break myself and my children away from them. I need to become financially independent as well as mentally and emotionally stable and focused. My ultimate goals are to graduate college, get a good job and move to FL but in the meantime I would like to get away from them with no fighting or tears. Just me and my kids with enough money and support to make it without them.

Congratulations for being courageous enough to take the steps to break away from a toxic situation.

I would begin with a reading and consultation with one of the AIRR workers. While you're waiting, spiritual cleansing is always a good idea. Start by cleaning your home with some Chinese Wash, and then take at least 3-7 baths in 13-Herb Bath to clear away some of the negativity surrounding you. You may wish to have a worker set some Healing and Protection lights for you to help back up and bless your work.

I would wait until your reading with a worker before buying a bunch of products, and especially since there are several layers to your situations (financial, etc) but one thing you could look into are the Separation line, which is meant to help break away from a relationship peacefully. And Steady Work is aimed at finding and getting good employment that meets your needs.

I am writer who specializes in poems, and very short stories.
Many times I've attempted to write a book but I always end up getting writer's block or just don't know how to continue the story and I end up cutting it short, but I'm not ready to throw in the towel just yet!
I've had amazing success with candles set by root workers and at LM so I would like to know what candles and petitions are appropriate for my situation. I want to be able to come up with a successful story idea/plot and have it transformed into a book without getting writer's block.
I was thinking road opener, crown of success, and king Solomon wisdom. Would John the Conqueror and Master also be good?

I would get an orange candle dressed with some mercury oil, five finger grass, clarity oil, crown of success, and john the conqueror, and some master.

If you feel that may of your ideas come through in your dreams, I would work with psychic vision products. And when you wake up quickly write down and ideas or dreams when you wake up.
