So take the battery out when you smudge. I used to constantly take mine down, wrap it in a towel, work, and then put it back up when I lived in an apartment. It wasn't the most convenient thing in the world, but at least I wasn't setting it off all the time, and it was still there to protect me the rest of the time.

There is a Chapel in the hospitol. If you are checking from your laptop in a waiting area go there. (If ICU) hours are out for the night.
and if you are "waiting in chairs". As you know ICU shuts down about 8. Most of us wont leave.

I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Jose gregorio Hernandez, and St. Jude (if need be). I can tell you my best friend's brother had an anerysum in his brain which is basically a blood vessel in his brain and it burst, and caused fluid on the brain. Most, if not all people, die for this. But he is living. Ive never prayed SO hard in my life. Seriously everyone I speak to and tell the story and the doctors have said it is definitely nothing short of a miracle. I mean Ive always believed in the power of the Saints, BUT this seriously made me so thankful and believe more in their powers.

I can definitely attest to the power of Dr. Hernandez.

I will definitely include Dr. Hernadez and St. Lazarus. We have a good number of homeless on the way to the hospital. If I have the money, I give it to them. So, I would love to be able to do that AND thank a saint.

I've always been a little apprehensive of St. Jude, since i've heard that sometimes people get into MORE trouble so they will call on him. Has that been anyone else's experience?

Thank you for your prayers. <3 I prayed to St. Anthony last night, with 13 paters, aves, and glorias. I don't know what it was, but I slept like a baby right after. St. Anthony has always always been wonderful to me and I am so thankful for that.

I didn't stay in the hospital last night. Our ICU has a 24/7 waiting area with sleep chairs, but only for 2-3 family members. They basically lock you in. So, I came home while my mother, gma, and other aunt stayed. As of today, she is in the same condition but her vitals are stable.

I had a feeling about the chairs, and was not certain how many family members would be with you (there).

For clarification to others reading this post, "waiting in chairs" means literally that--sitting up all night in a lobby sleeping in a chair.

Now, on to prayers to Saint Jude, He is very giving and I swear "unbelieveable" when you pray with him the "right way", because he is the helper of the hopeless and hears and assists people during their great time of need, (The promise to publish is so others might know of his blessed work-- very simple, call your news paper)

Blessed Saint Anthony is a very gentle Saint, which is probably why you slept so well. He heard your call.

Thought I would post an update.

I created an infusion/emulsion of oil choosing 9 love and passion herbs and spice (inspired by the Love Potion #9 idea at the Rose entry in Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic). I say this is an emulsion because I included Rose water since I haven't a food-safe source for rose petals right now and adding this to the oil created an emulsion. On a pink rose stationery that I had written in a triangle formation "let passion grow let passion grow let passion grow" in red ink, then I placed the bottle in the center of the triangle. All of this I left on my altar to infuse with some muttered prayers (don't really know what I said) and blessing/clearing with sage smoke.

Last night in the middle of the night, I heard a clatter and something hard hit the floor and roll. I opened my eyes and saw a flash of blue light in the other room through the partly open bedroom door. I remember thinking that my husband had perhaps dropped his flashlight on his way to bed, but I didn't hear any of the expected cursing that would have accompanied such a happening. I listened for a while, then decided to get out of bed to investigate because usually such things tell me something important needs my attention. My husband was peacefully watching a movie at his computer with his headphones on and had not heard the clatter. I glanced around briefly to see if anything had been disturbed by the cat that needed to be taken care of and returned sleepily to bed.

This morning I decided to check out just what it was I had heard and found the top of the apothecary/spice bottle I had been making the infusion in on the floor in front of the altar. Oil stains on the stationery reveal that the top of the bottle had exploded off the little bottle to land on the floor. Apparently the sliced ginger had started to ferment and I had neglected to think of needing to leave a gap in the lid for the gas to escape. I had only filled the bottle half-way, so it's taken this long to build up enough pressure. The interesting thing was the flash of light. When I reminded my husband of the incident, this time I mentioned the flash of light and he said he had seen the flash too.

Anyway, I took both these things about the oil infusion as signs that it was "done" and decided it was time to do the candle burning part of the spell. They are burning right now, being watched over by a love goddess figure that I've annointed with a violet perfume and rose water.

On a side note, using perfumes spiritually and magically is rather new to me. While I know of their aromatherapy properties and there is a growing scientific body of evidence for their use, I just hadn't been thinking of their use in my own practices. Since embarking on this hoodoo learning journey, I've become aware scents available to me such as Jockey Club, Tres Flores and Octagon Soap. With the interest of growing love, I was attracted to a colognes to promote love and passion with my partner, and to get my thoughts and energies aligned more that way. I've also started annointing altar items where previously I'd only used incense.

I thought I'd check back in and update. Thanks so much again for your help.
I've been doing cleansings every night (with a couple slip-ups) and they've felt good. I see that I was really swimming in leftover negativity. I haven't been able to afford the 13 herb wash yet....but may at least order a few days worth.

I was surprised at how moved and affinity I felt for saint work.

I did Dr. Hernandez first. Tho I meant to focus on body healing, it ended up something around dedication to my healing profession. The candle burned really cleanly.

Then, Archangel Raphael b/c he deals with blindness and eye disease. Not sure how to explain, but felt strong solar energy I've been craving. I decided to continue to pray to him every Sunday. Candle burned cleanly and there was a neat little black 5 pointed star at the bottom of the glass.

Then, I thought I'd try St. Jude...feeling like I was a hopeless cause. Started out really poorly, didn't feel affinity, candle burned dark around the top and I was going to stop. I'm glad I didn't because it smoothed out and is now burning very brightly. I'm doing 3 prayers a day...9 days.

I have a couple questions - will I be buying cases of candles for St. Raphael?, since I plan on working with him for a while...or would I put the candle out after a certain amount of time?

I was going to get 13 herb bath and some oil, from Lucky Mojo, but was wondering if I could be ready for a road opening vigil done by the church, along with some crown of success something.

I need to get money flowing as soon as possible. I feel like I dumped a lot of internal negativity and need some positive juice coming in.

I need to figure out how to juggle all these candles on my small alter or fit in a bigger one

I have a friend who has a rough past and no direction for the future. I'm looking for an incredibly strong healing conjure that is preferably nothing too elaborate but strong nonetheless. I have talked to him about my paganism and he says he's willing to try to get this darkness out of his life.

Amongst his issues are the fact that his father gave him acid when he was 8 years old and he first became sexually active at age 9. (Now he's 21.) He's told me that he feels that there is a part of him that, to personify it, "is always laughing at him", whether he is happy or upset. (he is not schizophrenic, he just personified the feeling in order to explain it better.) He's also very promiscuous, and I have some items of his, so if anyone can tell me how to tie his nature so he is no longer sex-addicted and can take some time to focus on the deeper part of relationships, that's helpful too. He doesn't practice safe sex, and he uses it as a self-destructive tool. I have nothing against a healthy sex drive even if it means promiscuity, but he almost uses it as a tool to hurt himself. I really feel that tying his nature in this situation would be justified.

I will go ahead and make the doll you told me about. And advice for what he could do himself?

He has a dark side he needs to defeat, and I am not sure if I should call on angels or do something else. It needs to be strong!!!

He is also willing to take steps on his own to defeat this darkness. Should I ask him to say prayers, give him a charm, light candles, etc?

First make sure that he also gets support from mental health professionals to overcome any addictive personality issues.

Then a dollie stuffed with healing herbs inbetween two white candles that you've dressed with Healing Oil and Cast off Evil. Pray daily for his healing, for him to overcome his addictions, to live a healthier lifestyle, and for him to seek help from professionals.

As you pray over the doll dress it with a bit of the oils.

You can work with herbs like Eucalyptus to break habits, Althaea for healing, Sage for clarity of mind, and similar herbs.

I would continue to work the mojo hand. If you feel confortable you can work with a saint for healing. I have worked with dr. jose hernandez, and he has worked great in healing an individual. St. Lazarus, and Archangel Raphael are other great saints to work with for this situation

I second those recommendations. I find Dr. Jose Gregorio to really excel at helping someone find the right doctors and treatments - even if they've been searching for years, he can help lead them to a much better option; and he can also aid the doctors you do have to do find by blessing them with the insight needed to make the breakthrough on your case or otherwise be a stronger advocate for your health and healing.

I work with Archangel Raphael in my healing work a great deal and he is a fantastic resource.

Okay, I just want some clarification that what I've ordered, I'm gonna use right.

Big time fall house cleaning is coming up, so I'm going to start in my bedroom and work out cleaning house and spraying some water diluted Chinese Wash on the carpets and using it to wash the kitchen and bathroom floors as well. First question: is it safe to add the CW to my usual mop water? I use Lysol all purpose cleaner usually, and I don't want a chemical reaction. Mustard gas is not high on my list of ways to die. OR, should I wash with my usual water and then go back and wash again with Chinese Wash? And then I was thinking about adding a few drops of Peace Water to my rinse water or again, diluting it with water and spraying it around my house as well.

I was also thinking about, after spraying the diluted Chinese Wash on my floors, taking some of the Money Draw bath crystals and a different spray bottle and spraying that around my house as well. What do you all think?
Also, how about sprinkling sachet powders with my carpet deodorizers on my floors and vaccuming them up after they've sat for a bit?

For my cards, I'm definitely going to be using the incenses that were recommended to me to cleanse and charge them. That's Van-Van, Master Key, and Psychic Vision, for anyone who missed that thread. I also ordered those products in powder form that I'm thinking about getting like a wooden box and sprinkling a combination of Psychic Vision and Master Key in it and letting the cards rest in there when they're not being used. Again, thoughts? Suggestions?

I try to do one BIG order a month, and I'm open to suggestions for next month. This time around it was a lot of cleansing work, a lot of money draw work.

I know Cleo May has been suggested before to draw customers for tarot readers, but since I'm online, I'm not sure how effective that would be. And how exactly does one dress a computer? Obviously no powders, but I'm not sure if I would dress the tower or the keyboard with oils or what? My businesses are all online and over my phone. I'm a transcriptionist by day and a reader by night, lol. I'm not even comfortable really bringing my incense burner over here next to it for more than a few seconds, because smoke can damage the tower as well.

My son plays football and is in school. I don't want to do anything that he might talk to his friends about, but I am planning on sprinkling some Crown of Success powders in his shoes both his cleats (for football) and his school shoes. What do you all think?

The only thing i could add off-hand is that you can get a little Crown of Success oil on your hands and then call your son over to hug him or fix his hair or whatever, and get some onto his head (his Crown) and pray a quick wish for his success.

Wow, what a coincidence! my nephew plays football, and my Crown of Success is coming in handy! I put it on my hands when hugging before a game.....and even though he is only 15 now, in the 10th grade, he's had recruiters from no less than 5 colleges look him over. The stuff is like a paying slot machine.

I use Lysol, myself, for house cleaning - first, - then go back over with the van-van or chinese wash. (Besides, I like the smell of chinese wash much better) I always start from my personal stuff as well, when cleaning out. Bedroom, closet, etc...and have a much easier time of it when throwing out un-needed or unwanted things. (or putting aside for the church charity pile.)
I haven't used the money drawing stuff yet, but it's on my list for next order.

I was thinking about the oil, and I was thinking about anointing him, yes, and also dabbing a few drops in his football helmet. As you said, "Crown"ing him.

My little brother is coming over Wednesday for the Equinox and I'm going to talk to him about it, because he's a lot more computer-literate than I am. Hello all, I'm in need of some guidance. Me (sun in libra) and my life partner (sun in scorpio) have been together for almost four years. He has two young boys and an ugly custody battle but I'm not sure what to do about his health. They had found something in his brain. They had thought it was a cerebral telangectasia or an abnormal out growing of capillaries in the brain which is usually harmless. But upon further investigation they had found it was a larger problem of veins in the brain leaking blood. He's a good man and I feel like I am too close to this situation to think clearly. My friend had said that it was funny that he would have this mysterious medical condition because I want to go to medical school. But I digress. I understand that his problem may not be a problem or it could burst and he'd be dead. So it's a precarious position to be in. There's so many things running through my mind, baths, herbs, protection, health, ad infinitum I dont know what to do. And I don't know where to find the money for these possible surgeries and upcoming MRI's.

Well, you can petition Dr. Jose Gregorio Hernandez to bless and aid his doctors, and help direct them to the proper treatments for his condition.

The blessed Dr. is a fantastic spirit for this kind of situation.

Of course you can also burn Healing candles for him as well. These have a lovely energy and will bring a good deal of healing energy to the matter. If he's up for it, and is able to, then you could prepare Healing baths for him to take on a regular basis during things.

I had a thought since the issue is in his cranium- you could load a white skull candle with his concerns, and then run Protection and Healing oils onto it while praying for recovery. Don't burn the skull, just rub it lovingly and protectively several times each day while praying for his health and healing. You can surround this skull candle within a triangle of vigil lights that you have dressed for Healing, Protection, and Dr. Jose, and you can join the edges of the triangle by using appropriate sachet powders, or herbs - let that be a hedge of protection around him and his head.

Since things are kinda complicated, you may wish to get a reading to see what's going on spiritually with the situation, and to see if there is more specific things you could be doing to address the various angles of your case.

Is it best choice to read the Psalms even though they are powerful special words I find it so so so akward reading in one hand and cleansing in the other hand unless I laminate the psalms on the bathroom wall so its there for me to read any other suggestions?

I have thought about laminating frequently used Psalms myself! How cool would that be!? I usually read them while soaking & relaxing in the tub, when I'm done reading them, I put the Bible aside, and then dump the water over my head and such. I've never had a problem doing it this way. I'm sure whatever technique you use the truly important thing is to be focused and really true in your heart. I'm not good at memorizing lengthy verses, so I just reflect on/meditate about the words I have just read as I bathe.

I have posted before and have asked for help with getting my husband back and that we are going through a divorce. In all of this my daughter is taking the divorce very hard. Since the day my husband told me about the divorce a year ago I couldn't even get out of bed because I was so depressed. My daughter saw me at my worst and my weakend state of mine. I saw her hurting and until now I didn't realize how much pain she has been in. I just put her to bed after she cried and revealed she had lost her virginity to a boy who is 19 years old and she is 16. I know it was hard for her to talk to me about this but she said she feels terrible about it. She said she doesn't care about anything, she is tired of hearing her Dad act like a 20 year old. She revealed that her father thinks she will be ok and that lots of kids go though this. But she is not every kid, I feel heartbroken that my daughter turned to this boy for comfort. I want her to feel good about herself again. She is having a hard time in school and I don't want to lose her. She wants her Dad back and it just upsets me that he has let our daughter down.

OK, I need some advice on a spell or products to help her be successful in school and to feel positive about herself again. Will cleansing with the herbs be good? Please advise me I want my daughter to feel good again and confident. I am praying to St. Martha to help me bring her Dad back and am now going to petition her to help my daughter as well.

I'm sorry to hear that your daughter is having trouble dealing with this. I went through a rough time when I was her age, as my mother got married and moved across the country to be with her husband (I was invited to go along, or stay with my grandparents and finish school with all my friends which I did). I got really angry and pretty self-destructive for a few years, even though I was an intelligent and emotionally mature (for that age) girl. It's really hard to deal with situations that are so out of one's control when you're young. And finding that you're feeling that way is very confusing. I really sympathize with her, and with you.

I would certainly do some cleansing for her to help lift away the negativity. 13-Herb Bath would be nice - maybe 3 days worth, perhaps weekly after that or switch to Healing.

I would do a bottle spell for her that contains healing and soothing herbs, and then fill it with honey. This will help sweeten her life and mind, and bring healing to the situation.

When you're not working the bottle by praying and lighting candles dressed with Healing &/or Blessing oil, keep it on an altar space circled in protective herbs that are good for women and children such as angelica, and that promote a protected happy home such as majoram and holy basil.

At 3 points around the bottle, on the circle of protective herbs, light candles dressed with Protection or Fiery Wall of Protection oil. Invoke your ancestors aid and protection with one of the candles, St. Michael's aid with another, and then a guardian spirit/force of your choice for the third.

On the physical side of things, you may wish to get her into some kind of counselling since she's obviously having trouble dealing with things.

Thank you for your reply, I am going to set up some counseling for her. I am getting ready to order some products from LM and have already included the Fire wall of protection, is it possible to use it for both of us or do I need to order 2 of them? I already have some 13 herbs bath and I will order some more. Is there anything to help her be successful in school ? Will Crown of Success help and is there a spell for it? I just want her to be emotionally happy again and she has so much pressure on her I don't want her to give up and throw her life away. I really didn't realize she was in so much pain, and now I need to help her get past this but I need some spiritual help to help her along.

You could work some Crown of Success for her, certainly.

What FWP products are you ordering? The spell kits, the oil, the baths, etc? If it's just oils, powders, etc, then you can use them as many times for as many people as you like. I don't know that the FWP spell-kit is appropriate here, as it is really targeting a specific enemy and seeking to defend against them as well as remove them from the life of the person for whom it is worked. In this case the protection is just more general while she deals and heals. I would just use the oil in tandem with petitions to St. Michael.

But if you wish, you can get a reading and rootwork consultation so they can help you determine exactly what to purchase. You could even just call the LM store and they can give you about 5 minutes of time to suggest stuff for you.

Hoodooudo55 sorry that your daughter is going through this difficult time. Devi gave wonderful advice as always. The Fiery Wall of protection (oil) I have worked with (with my own child as needed) I also keep on hand Lucky Mojo Protection (more for everyday utilization/normal circumstantial).
I would also add in Some Lucky Mojo King Solomon Wisdom oil for her school work.

Triplethreat, thank you. I never have worked with this before but it sounds like something that might help as well. I just want her to be herself again
and confident. She has so much potential and had so many dreams that I am willing to give her this spiritual help to guide her through it until she can walk through this jungle on her own. She is my baby and have to be there for her and help her get through this terrible time. i am so glad that this Forum is available for the spirtual advice that is so needed. Well, if you ordered the kits already (and I would work them separately, not together) then that's fine. Just use "her pain over the divorce" or something similar as the enemy for the work. It would work fine that way.

I am glad to see that you are also seeking out counseling for her. Given her age, it is important for her to get the help she needs to help her deal with the divorce and the feelings that ensue.

In addition to the wonderful advice given by our lovely Devi Spring, may I suggest that Cast off Evil to help her overcome the depression, Tranquility to soothe her thoughts, and get yourself some Sun products either the oil or incense. While we don't hear too much about the planetary oils, they are just lovely and Sun oil can be used to help the healing along. Add a few drops to an oil diffuser while you pray and get the work to fill the house.

Your advice and angle to the situation is different and well taken. I will try that also to help her and know all the advice I have received will work. I will keep you all posted as to her disposition. I have already scheduled her to see a counselor to which she was reluctant but said she would try. Thank you so much for the input.

What exactly is smudging? Is it the same as burning incense in your home or smoking yourself?

A few weeks ago, I dreamed that I was sitting in a chair wrapped in a white sheet and I could see little puffs of incense smoke coming from underneath the sheet. I've never smoked myself before, but after having that dream I think I'm going to incorporate that into my cleansing ritual.

Hi All,

Most of you are aware that a dear friend of mine is battling cancer and it has taken a bit of bad turn. He's now receiving very intensive treatments that are horrible in terms of side effect. Meanwhile, we stay in communication via email and telephone. One day he wants me to visit him the hospital, by that afternoon he doesn't want it. One day he wants to go to lunch, the next day he doesn't know. I am not nagging at him or pestering him - if anything - my emails are just "hey hope you're doing well".. he calls me and emails me and opens communication but then seems to backpedal slightly. I'm not worried about myself because I feel sorry for him and understand the side effects are getting to him. But if I respond, "okay no pressure here" he seems to keep upset. So, I don't really know what to do? I was just wondering - can anyone thing of an additional herb or oil to use to help with this situation. I am currently burning blue candles dressed with healing and tranquility and self-heal daily for him. His spirits are up and for the most part he is being a trooper. I'm using peace oil for myself to keep myself even-keeled and not to take anything personally. Do you think peace oil could be added to the candles I'm currently burning for him.

I wouldn't personally recommend a full cup of ammonia for floor-washing. A capful is more than enough for spiritual cleansing purposes.

Yes, that "cup of ammonia" was too strong i think. Here's a more safe-and-sane recipe for general cleaning (but not for leather or plastic):

1 tablesppon Chinese Wash (or a capful)
1 tablespoon Buffalo Ammonia (or a capful)
1/4 cup Vinegar
I gallon warm Water

You can use stronger solutions of ammonia on glass or tile, however -- for instance, cut half-and-half with water for use on glass -- as long as you have good ventilation and wear rubber gloves.

Be careful with baking soda and salt, you will cause a chemical reaction--a burn. I keep a spray bottle with diluted Chinese Wash for daily use.

Any Salt will work. Some people prefer Kosher Salt, blessed Salt, but its a matter of prefrence. LM carries salts under the minerals section.

I'm going to be moving into a new place in December and would like to know the best way to cleanse before I move all my stuff in. What products I should order from lucky mojo and if they can be combined with commercial cleansing products and still be effective. Also I'm bringing furniture I was granted from my divorce. Should I be cleansing that too and how?
