Awesome! I read that too in her book about the rosemary. The spell I'm trying 2 do is general beauty I guess.I was thinking of doing a honey facial or honey bath then when I rinse it off I can use the rosemary water as a toner.I was also of considering making a doll baby stuffed w rosemary .ill definitely tryy out those oils to put into some of my facial & body lotions

Before I ask my question, I would like to apologize in advance for my "ignorance", for lack of a better word, when it comes to the practice and belief in hoodoo and other folk magic. I do intend to purchase Catherine Yronwode's book "Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic" in order to attempt to educate myself on the subject matter a little.

When I was younger (9th grade), a friend of mine had a wart on the back of his hand. He had gone to have it frozen and burned off several times, but the wart always came back. My father, who was born in 1934, lived a very rural lifestyle when he was younger here in Texas and bought some land later in the late 60's to raise cattle. Anyway, I had taken this friend out to my fathers land several times and he was a good friend which became close with my family. After hearing of my friend complaining of this wart several times...my father said to my friend, "Go out there in that pasture and find a cow bone". He told my friend in which direction to walk so that he would come upon a cow bone and explained what it would look like so that my friend would know what to look for. He said "when you find it, take notice of how it's laying there on the ground...bend down and carefully pick it up...rub the bone on your wart...and then carefully place the bone back the way you found it". And then he said, "turn around and walk away and DON'T look back".

Well, as younger kids we thought this was the dumbest thing we had ever heard. But we were definitely intrigued, and he was tired of the trips to the Dr. in order to try to have it removed. So we decided to try it...I walked out to the edge of the pasture with him but stayed quite a distance away from him...to this day I'm not really sure why I decided to keep a distance between him and I...maybe I thought it was something that had to be done alone in order to work...so I watched him walk out into that pasture and look around...after a while he stopped and was looking down...he bent down...and I couldn't see exactly what he was doing but after about 10-15 seconds he stood back up, turned around and started walking back to where I was. He never looked back. When he got back to where I was I asked him "did you do it?"....he said, "yes and I really hope this works because I'm sick of this wart coming back.

About 7-10 days later (I can't exactly remember) he came up to me at school and said "you're never going to believe this". He held out his hand and I looked down.....the wart was gone. We both laughed in disbelief...but to this day the wart is still gone.

So is this hoodoo?...or another form of folk magic?

That's a folk cure that is found in many European cultures with slight variations. So, no, it's not strictly hoodoo. Some conjure-people may know it or a variation of it, though, because it's fairly common.

My granny told us to put the first spit of the morning on the wart. My mother swore by that cure.

Me? I just got a knife and dug the wart out when I got one on my foot. Had to figure out which wart was the "mother wart" - but once I did, and dug down to get the root, it never came back. My mom kept telling me to just spit on it in the morning, but I wouldn't listen. LOL!

Hoodoo is a melange or mixture of many folk magic practices, and so, yes, in one sense that was a hoodoo spell -- but warts are a lot more common, it seems, on people of fair skin, so there are more European-Amercian folk magic cures for warts than cures from other ethnicities -- and this one is pretty European-sounding.

My best friend's step-dad told her to get a clean straw and to "worry" the wart until it bled, then dip the straw in the blood, and to bury the straw. This worked.

He also told her she could wash the wart with stump water (water that collects in the stump of a cut-down tree) and that would also take off a wart. She tried that on another wart, and that worked too!

She was fair-skinned and had many warts over the years...

She also tried the one where you rub a coin on the wart and bury the coin and the one where you rub the fresh-cut half of a potato on the wart and bury the potato half at the drip-line under the eaves of the house. And those worked too.

Other folks said to cut the wart with a sharp knife in the form of a cross, and to get the blood on a straw or on a potato, or on a coin ... and so forth.

In fact, we tested out a lot of old wart-removal remedies of this type, and i am not sure that all of them worked right off, but the straw one was our last resort, and it always worked, even if others did not. I think she had at least a dozen warts over the period of four years, and we got rid of them all with various folk remedies like that. This was before the laser-removal process was invented.

I finally got ONE wart on my right hand, which i actually wished into existence, because i wanted to test these wart-removing tricks (i know, i was a strange child), and i used the straw trick, and it worked. I never have had any other warts.

Sometimes a virus causes warts - so if that's why he is getting them, then it makes sense you wouldn't if you hadn't contracted them from somewhere like he had done.

Bewitching brings the alluring effect, and the look me over will turn those heads. I like the addition of Queen Elizabeth root and rosemary together as it brings the power of a woman out. Queen Elizabeth is great because it is sort of the counterpart to John the Conqueror but is more a masculine type of power whereas Queen Elizabeth is more feminine type of power.

I would create perhaps create a spray through the infusions of the products with the bath crystals, and adding in the herbs.

In addition, make sure you cleanse yourself before you start this just to cleanse yourself of any negative energies as well.

Well first off, I would recommend that you cleanse yourself regularly in addition to keeping yourself protected.

I would recommend working with some cast off evil, and perhaps buying yourself some jewelry to keep away the evil eye.

JUstwondering along the same line.............are there any spells for hair growth ? my friend had very thick hair, she lost almost 70% of it because of hypothyroidism, but her hypothyroid condition is muchbetter, she talked to doctors and they could not help her to get her hair back

Ooooo, I can help on this one since I'm going through the exact same thing as your friend! Tell her to start taking a Super or Evening Primrose Oil Capsule twice a day, and drink two cups of HOT, not cold Peppermint tea a day. Something in both of those things seems to really help with regrowth. I've seen a ton of regrowth in past two months I've been doing that....of course my hair is waist-length, so it's going to be a very long time before everything fully grows back. Hi Jacqui. There are many preparations that begin my day. Some of these that involve protection are private but I will be more than happy to share some recommendations involving protection.
Every SINGLE DAY Fiery Wall of Protection from Lucky Mojo Saint Michael The Archangle, very powerful --VERY. I also do other work that is personal; I recommend ancestral work.

i made the rosemary water (beauty wash) it does wonders for my face. it keeps it clean and baby soft.

very happy with the results. i don't have to use harsh chemicals that dry out my face. i recommend this. it's VERYYYYYYY simple.

Hi y'all -
I was wondering: which saint or deity should I work with when it comes to communication and eloquence in speech?

I bought deer's tongue from LM and am trying to construct a spell that helps me with speech matters. Here's a little background on my situation. About 15 years ago, I was really outgoing, fun-loving, and had very little trouble speaking my mind. Talking was easy, writing was easy, I was very comfortable in my own skin and confident of my abilities. And then a lot of negative stuff happened (injury, medical problems, death, etc) and over time I lost a lot of confidence and developed an inability to fully express myself the way I used to. I don't have a stutter but I do get tongue-tied a lot and I can't seem to communicate as smoothly as before. It feels like I have a "blockage" of sorts and it's not just speech, it carries over in my writing and art as well. Basically anything related to communicating myself to the world, whether it's speaking with someone or trying to express myself through my art.

I understand that a lot of this is due to insecurity and the result of the "wearing down" of my spirit (and maybe have been crossed...not sure...) so I've embarked on a mission to right myself back up starting with spiritual baths (I'm going to do the 13-herb bath) and then following it up with some self-empowerment work. I've also bought from LM the following herbs - Master of the Woods, Queen Elizabeth root, Masterwort, High John the Conqueror, Angelica root, Althea and the following oils: Crown of Success, Bewitching, Power, and Road Opener.

So anyways, back to the question at hand. How do I incorporate deer's tongue in all of this? Do I carry it in a mojo bag? If so, with what other herbs? Which deity or saint/spirit should I petition? I want to break down that blockage! Even writing this post took me several tries and about an hour to complete because I couldn't find the right words even though it all seems simple enough (bizarre, right? this has been going on for almost 5 years!).

In the meantime, if I were you, I would be lighting dressed candles in the planetary hour of Mercury each day on your picture (tape a hair to the back) to link into its energy - since it embodies communication. Call to the spirit of Mercury (he was personified as a God in Greece after all) and ask for his aid. The herbs you bought are all great, so add them to a mojo bag with some of your hair, and a petition paper perhaps with a planetary seal or square of Mercury on it - invoke Mercury and call to the spirit of the herbs to work together to aid you in your communication needs. Make sure to breathe into the bag to give it life before tying it shut.

When you're able, get some Crucible of Courage oil and some Mercury oil, as those are what I would suggest for this case. Until then Road Opener, Power, and Crown of Success will do for the candles and for feeding your mojo.

I would construct a mojo bag with some deer's tongue, master root, Master of the Woods,High John the Conqueror, and dress it with some crown of success oil. In your bag, you can include some yarrow, and black cohosh as well for the courage, and strength. I would fix an orange candle with some mercury oil, crown of success, and deer's tongue and ask that you be helped with your speech.

Hey everyone,

I have a situation that I'd like to do some work for, but it's a little complicated for me to sort out. I

I have a frenemy, we'll call her Janice. We both live in the same smallish town, have the same style, social group and interests. We were friendly for a while. Janice works at a shop in town that deals exclusively in my area of business. She was struggling doing the work herself and I offered to help. After that, she stopped being friendly and I perceived her as acting very condescending towards me. I was hurt.

Lately I've been getting jealous of her success in this town, because I've felt hindered in my ability to be successful here. I'm not typically a jealous person, and I really don't like feeling this way.

What I would like is to stop caring, thinking, comparing myself and being jealous of her. I would love to be successful in doing my heart's work, which to me entails having more connections and popularity in the community. I've felt stuck trying to make that happen.

So, obviously some things that come to mind are Crown of Success, Cut and Clear, Road Opener...but I don't know how to organize this work. Would any of you have any advice? Thank you very much!

I really wonder if after Dhoa works this spell to get rid of the frenemy in her life ,if Dhoa would still be able to remain in the same village and be successful there because the frenemy is removed from the village. I just want to know how it works.

Also I wonder if this same spell could work against a frenemy in the same workplace at a house workplace that I work. In my case, it's the other way around; the other woman don't like me at all and is extremely jealous of me because the patient loves me very much not only because I have been caring for her many years before the other woman but the patient brags to her family and my company that I am the best caregiver/nurses aid that she has ever had because I am not in it for the money. Now this is the same woman who has been putting things all over and inside my car, the house where I work and all over my house where I live even though I have now put dead bolts on the outside doors and police said that there is no sign of entry so there is nothing that they can do about it. Called a security company, they told me $2300 for cameras, I can't afford. I bought a security camera and set it up on my video, went to physical therapy and when I came back, the tape was totally erased, the smoke detectors were making a sound, and the whole house smelled like wood fire; the stove looked black so when I took off the eye of the stove and lifted up the cover, there were burnt branches and leaves under thereI think she must be entering by astral means - I kinda had that feeling long before she she is walking invisibly but I did not know what the name was. I put chairs behind the outside doors, under the locks after I clean up the house and by daylight there is a lot of stuff all over. How do you explain that. An AIRR (won't call any name) had told me long time ago, that it was she and her mother that was doing the trick but later on, I get to discover that she also has her boyfriend and children and another manfriend helping her. So when she is at work and cannot come, she send them. These appear to be reputable people in the community so I am amazed that they could be so underhanded and tow-faced.

This woman is so hateful of me (the patient told me) and I am sworn to secrecy, and that I am not to take anything from her because she pretends to be my friend but she curse me like hell behind my back. Yet when this woman sees me she is always offering me gifts, candies, etc and she is all over my hair and touching my nails, "Oh! Look at the hair and them nails" - touching them. Then my hair started matting and my nails became very brittle and broke and tear. Now I am on sick leave after surgery and my patient called me, one evening, to see how I was doing and told me that the woman said that she would come over to help me if I wanted her to. I had to be very diplomatic and reply: "Oh! That was very nice of her but I have a lot of help" "I bet that she would. Tell her many thanks though". What I want to know is if a cut and clear spell will cause me to lose my job because I don't want to loose it. Jobs are very hard to find and noone is going to hire me with multiple injuries. Tell me what you all think -- suggestions are welcome.

No the cut and clear will not cause you to loose your job. But in this case, I feel the clear and cut wouldn't be an effective step for you to do. You need to get a reading, and do the other work I suggested above. And do not take any gifts from her and do not let her touch you.

You are going to need to purchase the herb rosemary

and then you are going to soak the herb in Spring water, and then strain the water out which you can put in a bottle, or a spray bottle. I would soak the rosemary in the water for at least 3 or 7 days.

Thanks Stars...that was fast...wooshh....

Do i need to pray over it before using?
Is it possible if i just make one spray bottle abt 50ml and keep it in the fridge and use whenever i want to?
How long till u discard it?
And is there any specific way to use or i just have to spray it on my face?
Sorry for the long queue of questions....as theres not much info stated and my book is still not here yet

As long as you keep it in the fridge I don't see the water going bad. I would probably keep it for about 2 weeks, or until it starts to look bad. It can be used as a wash you can spray it lightly over your face or your entire body. I would let it air dry.

in the Caribbean we put about a small portion of a limb of rosemary in coconut oil for babies to anoint their body.
coconut oil is usually locally made so it's really great

Hi all,

I have low self-confidence, though there really isn't any reason why . . . just how I am. I see a counselor, so I'm doing that, but does anybody have any ideas for what I could use to increase my self-confidence?
