I always get that after reporting a post. Not sure why. The report does seem to still go through though. i just hit "back" and refresh to get back to posting.

Thank you cat! I have a quick question for you: How can i send you an ultra quick email/messg. with two questions, one about blues lyrics (posted on the pre-war blues group a couple days ago) and about advice getting actual seeds for a personal garden grow for one particular plant (most places are selling mislabeled seeds.) I understand you are overbooked most days... Is the best way trying to catch you at the shop when i come in?

I am having trouble posting the "links" from previous posts" that give some great advice to people who are activly seeking the help of LM products and words of wisdom by people who posted previously.
I click on the topic link and create a short cut and it appears to take them to the "LM Newsletter"
I am actively trying to increase my knowledge of the technical world. I can post links to pages but not links to posts, which can expand on LM products and further in the advice endeavor.
I thought I was doing this correctly until someone new needed advice and pointed out. I have also tried giving key words for a search: however, it helps individuals to see what you are referring to when they don't have to pull up 20 topics on the subject with 15 posts in each.
I'm certain this is probably a simple remedy.
Thank you in advance for a quick technical tip!

I'm not sure what your trouble is. Just open a second browser window, go to the thread, then look up in your browser to the URL line, copy it into your buffer and go back to your first browser window, which is still open to your post, and paste it in there. Like, the URL for this very thread we are in right now is:
posting-links-to-previous-posts-with-gr ... t8429.html

Once I discovered that I could select "mark forums a(s) read" so the forums with new posts would be red, I was really excited. However, some forums refuse to be marked as read...even when I've manually opened topics that weren't read by me before. I'm just not sure if that function doesn't work or perhaps there are topics I can't see?

Yes, some forums (not all, at least for me) refuse to be marked as read. Some just always show as having new messages, even when it does not - and I've checked back through all the pages of archives in those forums to see if there was a thread long ago that I hadn't read that was making it pop up.

No. You can post in the forum marked "Ask for help with your situation" to, well, ask for help with your situation.

Hello all,

Due to the current name changes the forum mods have decided to go back through some of the older posts and update the names. This editing may bring up some of the older posts as new again. Some have expressed confusion over this. This is done for consistencies sake as well as to avoid confusion for those who go through older posts.

Since this forum is searchable through google such editing makes things smoother and and less messy for current and future forum members. Please bear with us as we go through this process and we thank you for your understanding and patience.

Thanks for the reminder of why this is happening.

I happen to like it for another reason -- it dredges up old threads that i can bundle together with new threads on the same subject into longer unitized threads, making subjects easier to find.

I've noticed a few glitches on this forum and that's one of them.

Unfortunately, I don't think that you can subscribe to a thread without posting in it. It's frustrating because there have been times when I've wanted to follow a thread, but didn't really have anything productive to add, but I don't think it can be done.

I know the program that this forum runs on supports it, but it must have been messed up when they did some altering of the code for the custom extras.

the one ive found is this.. http://www.luckymojo.com/candlemagicdivination.Html

there is a capital H in the .html and takes you to an error page.

I'm not the original poster, but in reading the online book, I found a broken link

On this page: http://www.luckymojo.com/hoodoohistory.html the link to "Planetary days of the week for timing of magic spells and recitation of Psalms, and Prayers " which points to http://www.luckymojo.com/hoodooastrology.html gives a 404 error.

Dear folks,

When I send a PM, it winds up in the Outbox rather than in the Sent folder. Why does that happen? It's not like my regular email programs at all.

And when I open the message in the Outbox, it is not obvious how to send it on (isn't SendReply for replying to the message you're reading? So I'd be attempting to reply to myself?).

I don't know where to look for tutorials and things -- if you have any I'd be grateful for a pointer.

Think of the Outbox as a type of purgatory for your written PMs...it holds them there for a bit until the system sends them off and then they appear in the Sent folder. It can take a little time, but is usually not too long before it goes out. This is how it seems to work on my end anyway! Hope that helped...

If they are staying in the Outbox and not going into the Sent folder AT ALL, then there is certainly a problem! Yikes! :)

Good luck,

I believe they stay in the outbox until the recipient opens the message.

Actually I am just now reading this. I am not the technical person at LM; however, I am glad that it is fixed. Always remember to clear your inbox; it is limited to 50 messages. At 50 messages, you will not receive any messages until you delete the old messages, of which you have learned to do.

You can't subscribe to posts, but you can simply save a particular thread in your book marks. I am not sure what browser you are using but you can simply save it to your favorites.

I'm having a problem viewing individual posts that come up after searching on a term. For example, I searched for any posts containing "bipolar" and returned three (the first posted by "sunnyone") within the 73 page "Working With and Disposing of Honey Jars" thread. When I click on any of those posts, I am taken back to the first post on the first page of that thread.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there another way to get to these individual posts outside of a painstaking search through 73 pages?

My wife and I were just lamenting this last night. I had a quick honey jar question about candle wick piles. I did a search and found 2 posts that piqued my curiosity and seemed to answer my question...alas, clicking on those posts brings you to the first post of the thread...in this case a thread that is 70 pages long!!!

Nagasiva, is there a way to fix this??

This is cat, not nagasiva, and i have not yet found a way to solve this problem. The best i know is to notice the DATE of the post i want and then to rummage through the pages looking at the top date on each page until i circle in on the date range and then on the exact date and post i am looking for.

I KNOW there is a way to program this into our software, but i am not a developer and although i have asked many times for tech help, i have so far been unable to find a developer who can handle this and the other tech problems we know exist in the software.

I did a search of my email name and realized my name showed up in a black arts oil forum group along with others. Is there anyway to remove that and make our conversations more private?

I would suggest making a more discrete user name. A username is used for anonymity.

The public search functions help a large number of people find this forum and the information they are seeking. If you are worried about your username (since emails in no way show up in searches - only the forum owner can access that information), you can change your username to something that is not linked to your email or other online nicknames.

I think it help if you told us what you are searching for and what did not show up.

Hi. I don't know if this is covered anywhere else, I've looked but can't find it.

How do I add quotes, from other posts to a post of my own - in the beige coloured boxes.

I've tried doing it - clicking on 'quote' at the top of the message box before and after the required text - but I just get the whole of the message I am trying to quote from, without beige boxes, plus blank beige boxes just containing quotation marks. How do I get just the bits of text I want contained within the beige boxes?

Thanks.

The beige box will show up only after you submit your post. You can delete whatever text from the post you don't want in your quote box.

You can also always just copy the text you want, and then hit the "Quote" button in your own post editor, and then paste the passage between the html code brackets.

Hope that helps.

I'd just like to let someone know that the search function on this board is terrible. About 85% of the time my search returns nothing but a message saying something to the effect "your words are too common, try again" — even if I have 4 or 5 words in there.

I don't know if there's a sensitivity setting or something that can be turned down, but if there is, it would help a lot.

Thanks much!
