What am I -- a witch?

Unread post by hopeful » Wed Feb 16, 2011 9:45 am

Hello, I'm new here, and my famliy thinks Im a horriable person for praying and meaditating over candles and such and insure me that it is a sin.

How true is that?

But when they are desperate they let me know they need help in their own way.

I just feel like an outsider. Im glad i found this website. I've been practiceing for about 2 yrs now..I dont quite understand it, but what ever i do seems to work, but Im ready for more.

I've helped the father of my children advance in such a way at his job it"s awasome, but he dosen't appreciate anything cause he thinks it was him that was doing it, but i helped open the door..now with him making the money i thought he would share but no.

o well now Im gonna focus on myself and achiving my goals and of course my children.

Im called names here like witch. dosen't hurt my feelings but am I? I think a witch is someone more powerful than what I do. I have limits to my work..but what is someone like my self considered?

Hello, and welcome to the Lucky Mojo Forum.

I would not call you a witch. I would call you a spiritual practitioner, a person who works to help herself and her family.

Good luck!

Hopeful..... Cat put it in such a good way calling you a spiritual practitioner. That's what you are. In the bible, I believe, it talks about lighting candle and incense to the Lord. In all churches some time or another they do the same.

Point of advice though....don't seek out rewards or attention for your workings such as working for your childrens father and then wanting him to give you money because you made it happen. You helped him which in turn will help your children. Let that be your reward and then the spirits will take care of you in return. When I do workings for people and they give me money I put that money towards buying supplies for their working or put it towards donations. Then when the working comes to fruition and they come to me and are like paying me all these compliments I just humbly thank them for their kind words and tell them that I am happy they are happy and they are getting what the need. I also have them light a candle for the Divine and because I am the middle man for them and the spirits.

These questions do bring up some other good questions on how other people work or handle situations like this. As for the Witch thing...that word and title has gotten a bad rap. I consider myself to be a Witch and Spiritual Practitioner. I am practicing Hoodoo and plan on taking Cat's course. I call myself a witch because of the religion I was trained in the witch is the wise one. As for them being more powerful then what you do that's not the case. It's all a spiritual practice, that utilizes different names and techniques, but both pray to the divine and seek spiritual understanding.

As for your family being desperate and coming to you, but also give you a hard time a good friend of mine put it nicely last night when we were having a similar talk. My family and friends do the same thing to m and when they need something they come to me for workings. My friend simply said they all come home in the end when they want something. In other words no matter what peoples beliefs are when despearte and in need people come to the Conjurer, Hoodoo Worker, Rootworker, Witch, Priestess, Priest in the end.

Thank u friends..ShadoWalker u r so right I guess I was dissapointed cause I put in 6 months of work with this man cause he was just not gettin noticed. But it was a big achivment for me when he tells me that he has stopmd on everyone and went straight to the top, and he does have alot to do with it I mean he works u know, but i did give up, on wanting more from what was given. The funny thing is as u mentiond he does spend big bucks on himself but has nothing at the end of the week and when he shares with my children and myself he does. Your right as long as my children r blessed with what they need all is well!!

Hopeful you will get rewarded for all of your work by the Divine. One thing I notcie is when I do workings for people and I am in need for something I usuaully get what I need from out of the blue. I loo forward to seeing more post from you and I pray all your workings come through for you.

These are some very good points from all above. Hopeful, Be Blessed in all that you do, and I like the sentence where you said you are going to "focus on myself and achiving my goals...".
One of the greatest joys ever for me, is being a part of this Forum, being able to recommend products and giving some advice that I hope makes a difference for other people and to those in need.
