As long as the doll is for the same purpose, then yes you can use it. However, if your intentions have changed, then you need to make a new one.

Ohhhh I see.......That defenitely makes me feel better.
So basically, all I have to do is get a little dirt down wear he walks or on him when he's not looking? That sounds pretty easy.
Only question is, does it work any less if he's wearing shoes when he walks over the dirt?

Hi Janet,
as long as you are using the dolly for the same purpose (IE-love drawing, crossing, etc) you can use the same one.
However, if you used the dolly for a different purpose before (for example, to make him love you) and now you want to use it for a different purpose (cross him for leaving you), I would do as Star says and make a new dolly suited to the new purpose.

Hi i made a doll of my husband, to have control over him. I made the doll out of a worn t'shirt of his, the head was made with poppy seeds and also some of the different roots, i added calamus root, licorice root, a name paper, some toe nail clippings, and stuffed it also with his worn t'shirt i cut into pcs., i wrote his name on it also, i want to know is there anything else i can use to enhance the outcome. I want him to give me control over his paycheck, he never seemd to be able to have any money or pay the bills on time, we just move to a new apartment, one where the landlord has very strick rules on rent and already he is late. He has a good job, make about $50, 000 per yr, so i want for when he gets paid he deposit the check into my account and i pay the bills and give him what he needs for transport etc. Thank you in advance

Depending on what the doll is made of and how you intend to work with it, you might dress the head of the doll with a mixture of Controlling Oil and Pay Me Oil or you might smoke it in a mixture of Controlling Incense and Pay Me incense, or you kmight bathe it in a mixture of Controlling bath salts and Pay Me bath salts dissolved in water.

If the doll is made of cloth, as you describe, then you would do well to smoke it with incense. Dabbing it with oil will make it goopy. Washing it with bath crystals may destabilize its "innards." Dusting it with powder will make a mess. So incense is your best choice. I light the incense (and your choice of Essence of Bend-Over is a good one) and then circle the doll through the rising smoke. If the doll is for cursing (yours is not, I understand), you can "hang" it from a gallows-rope and smoke it in Damnation incense.

Well, smoking that doll baby with incense is a way of "working with it." If it was waterproof you could bathe it with the appropriate bath crystals.

A controlling dollbaby like this, I'd make a little leash for its little neck, and walk it around -- just like when you played with your dolls as a kid -- and hold the leash in your other hand.

Seriously, $50K a year and he's late with the rent? Please!

Yup, using a cheap wax, plastic, clay, or ceramic doll works well, provided you have the personal concerns to link it to your target.

Hi, I'm really not happy with the way I put together my dollbaby and would like to make some changes. I think I included way too many items and would like to make something a little more focused.

(1) I read on this thread that before disposing of a dollbaby that the spirit of the target needs to be released. How does one go about doing that? I release you?
(2) I would like to keep the same "body" of the doll. All I'd like to do is clear out the old herbs and put in new ones. The intent is the same but rather than having every herb under the sun, I want to focus on a few select herbs. Can I keep the same body or do I have to start completely from scratch?

If you really want to learn this work, instead of asking for arbitrary rules, you should work with spiritual guides, both among the living and in the realm of spirit. I will try to help, but this is SPIRITUAL work, not cookery, so what i am posting is mostly a sketch, and not a set of rules.

To release the spirit from a doll-baby, you would want to actually disassemble the doll and cast it to the crossroads, into running water, or some such. So keeping the same body sounds wrong to me, like you want to work on the cheap and sloppily. I would take this as an opportunity to plan and execute the work with complete authority and competence, not as an excuse to fiddle with something that didn't suit you.

When I redid my first doll baby I took it apart. I released the spirit by saying, "In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit I know release you Mr. X." I then buried the remains near my front door. I then redid the doll baby with much more focus, intent, and specially chosen herbs and personal items. I love my new doll baby..it's working great.

I only wanted to keep the body because I am attached to the little thing. gosh, I've been talking to it every day for weeks. Perhaps it sounded like I was trying to take a short cut. The truth is, my dollbaby suits me beautifully and I would love to keep it but from reading up on it, I think I made some mistakes in its construction and would like to correct them. I did the poor thing a disservice by overloading it so I just wanted to alleviate it of that weight. That's why I asked if I could keep the body - I want to keep my dollbaby but fix my mistake.

My sister used one a long time ago and it worked very well for her. SHe insists that I should try one out for my situation but she doesnt remember how to work one since it was so very long ago that she did it.

I cant find anything on LM about them. I dont think its the same as a doll baby is it? She still has her old one ,she never disposed of it. Its a hard little doll not cloth but dressed in red clothes with some kind of feather at its waist. The guy she worked it on keeps calling her from time to time still to this day telling her he loves and misses her.

I would like to try one for myself. She doesnt remember ever baptizing it like you would a doll baby as I read here:

It sounds like a doll-baby, just named in a different cultural context. Wanga is a term used in Vodou in some areas that basically means "power" or "magic". Since Vodou is a tradition that relies heavily on the services of its clergy, I would make an educated guess that the doll was prepared for your sister by a practitioner. That's why she doesn't remember baptising it, because she wouldn't have done that part in the first place - she would have been provided with the finished doll which she would then work. The way she was working the doll sounds exactly how one would work a doll-baby.

All of that is rather off-topic since this is a forum about hoodoo, not Vodou. But I digress...

If you want to make a doll-baby on a target, then you can certainly do so. There is a giant thread here on doll-babies that you can read for info about how to do it.

Lucky Mojo sells the doll-babies either fixed or unfixed to help get you started. You could also consider hiring an AIRR member to craft one for you, so you can then just work it as your sister did.

I have used poppets in the past but never for improving my finances, drawing luck or money. The other poppets I have worked all symbolized someone else and was for other situations so I am not sure how to prepare or work such a poppet to improve my own situation. I have a green poppet, red string, it came with a name tag to put on but I am not sure what else I need nor what to do. Any guidance here? Although LM DOES sell dolls, I don't know where you got your doll from. However, I can tell you that if your finances are really in such dire straits I would not advise you to gamble what little you have away and risk losing it all. There are a number of money-drawing curious available at Lucky Mojo such as Lodestones as well as products such as Money-Drawing Oil and Money Stay With Me Oil. You may want to look into these and try the Lodestone and Trained Hunting Money ritual as described at LM at the link below.

Hi Dean, True they do. But as far as I know they don't sell green baby dolls. Thats how I came to the conclusion that this is not a LM product.
Great advice for money drawing though.

I was able to get 2 pairs of worn white & black socks and a white underwear briefs from my husbands new apartment. Which is best to create a doll baby of him?

Second question: I was told by Cat during a radio reading a few weeks back to make a doll baby for my husband and bathe it with clarity and wisdom products for him to clear his head and to get rid of mental confusion. Can this same doll be used later for reconciliation/love?

If you're going to be bathing the doll-baby, I would recommend making a wax dolly and putting the concerns inside of it to personalize it. That way the water won't cause mold or mildew, as it could if you were working with a cloth dolly.

And yes, you could work the dolly for both intents.

Do i just melt another white candle to use the wax?

Well yes you can soften candle wax and shape it into a human form, make sure you work your prayers into it as you do. Or you can simply get a male figural candle and embed his concerns into it, baptize it and there you go. I would use a white Adam candle in this case.

Sure, pass it thro the smoke from burning herbs dressed lightly with those oils. Bay, King Solomon Wisdom root and Sage would all be good for that. You can also put thoes herbs in the dollys head.

No. Bay, like many herbs, roots and curios has more then one use, among these are protection from psychic attack and jinxing, victory, a better marriage and clearing someones head and prompting clear and rational thought. That's why I strongly recommend it for your case. I also recommended you pick up Miss Cat's book Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic as it lists many many conjure herbs and roots and different uses there of.

Oh thats wonderful to know about the Bay! I love using it around my home. I do have Cat's book and just looked up the Bay reference.

I also looked up the two I mentioned Coltsfoot that I wanted to use bc it removed mental troubles but in her book it says it needs to be burned with blessing incense for this. Will it not be effective if I mold it into the doll? Goldenseal root threads is said to be used by those who seek wisdom, strength, and for better health. He would benefit from these as well no? Would 5 herbs and a personal item be ok for a small wax doll? or is 5 not a good number?

Is there anything else that should be done in making the wax version of a doll baby other than how I described it above?

I don't know about growing out your hair, but I know people who create doll babies for themselves and place them in "dream boxes." These are basically little boxes like the one people made in elementary school, but you put in there what you want to draw to yourself. You place things like coins, the people you want to attract, etc.

I knew a woman who made a doll baby of herself and would give it a gift once a month. Over time those gifts did start manifesting in her life. She had a particular purse that she was very proud of--got it as a Christmas gift.

All dolls are not for the same purpose, that's why there are so many options.Basically,the red flannel doll is for love related work and the black is mainly for negative work.You have the option of buying a doll that you will stuff yourself(you'll put herbs,roots etc yourself in it).The stuffed doll has all the herbs already in it and you add the personal concerns yourself. For the stuffed and fixed doll you have to send the personal concerns to LM and they will send you the doll with all things inside.If you haven't worked with dolls before I'd suggest that you get a stuffed one,or the stuffed and fixed.That way you'll be sure that it was prepared with the right herbs.That said,you can also create a doll yourself if you choose the right herbs for your purpose. The link I posted has some ideas for that too,as well as many ideas on how to use the dolls for different purposes.

Lately I've been having a really bad poker run and really really need to do something about it.

What you are talking about is a spirit doll.

Doll babies as used in hoodoo today are used to link to a person and therefore they become that person giving you control over them. This is the most common use found today for doll babies.

However there are some old ways of working, influenced by African traditions, that involve making a doll to house a spirit helper.

Since the creation of such dolls are rather esoteric, it may be best for you to stick to a mojo hand which can absolutely act as a spirit helper to your purpose.

A personal concern could be a picture, a shirt or blouse the target wore etc...read this website (http://www.luckymojo.com/bodyfluids.html) for examples and strength of personal concerns. That said, if you absoloutely cannot get any of these items, the work may be harder to connect to that individual and that is what you want. Finally, a personal concern can be had by creating a name paper.

It is preferable to make it a strong doll, that you have hairs, nails, piece of cloth as stuffing yes.

However making a doll to look like him is a way of linking it to him. baptizing it in his full birth name alike. Calling out his parents name, his date of birth, his adress and so on will further act to link it. Finally, burying the doll where he will walk over or past it will further enhance the effect.

Thinking leads energy. Think of it as using your own energy to put him and his energy into the doll, rather than thinking that you are putting your OWN energy into it. What if it is a crossing doll? Then you would not want to be that doll or in it, right?

If it is a doll on an ongoing relationship it needs a delicate treatment, but if it is something to be rid of you may just do either of the suggested varietys. I would take the doll apart gently if I cared about the person before I disposed of it. If Not just rip it and say "As this doll is shattered, so is the power of this spell. May the Spirit of NN return to him/her like these parts are returned to earth (or through the smoke or whatever method you prefer or in relation to how the doll was constructed). In the name of F. S. and h.G." if I cared I would send it away with blessings and through some Blessing Incense.

Do not anoint it. You may consider sprinkle it with some Holy Water to help the Spirit and energies to depart from the doll.

Getting ready to make my first doll baby. I have received all the LM herbs and roots I might possibly need for the inside of him. But I just had a thought about what he looks like on the outside.

I read through this entire thread a couple of times and I dont see any mention of what one puts on the outside of the doll baby - such as 'decorating' or personalizing. Can it just stay the color of the fabric the doll is? Do we have to add facial features or anything of that nature?

Some cut out the head of a photo picturing the person intended and use LM powders, roots, herbs, oils to dress the doll on the outside.
You do not need to do anything with it. Features are usually added to increase the ability to identify the doll with the target and thus being able to pull the targets spirits into it. Some feel it to be sufficient to have a doll, while others need to add many outer features, like clothing it in clothes made from the targets socks, shirt, pants etc.

One more question, besides the herbs I am going to use in the doll I was going to use the suggestion of putting spanish moss to help stuff it, will this count towards the number of herbs or just be considered 'stuffing' material? Thanks in advance.

Conjureman is right. What you need is a good money mojo.

I work with dollies all the time Kristin, but when I work with them, I make them to represent certain people.
I believe this is called Working by Proxy. It sounds like you're more in need of a spirit helper than an actual person, correct?
I've never made a spirit doll, and it sounds awful tricky, so I would just stick with Money related products and mojo hands.

Hi, I've been working a wax dollbaby for cleansing baths. I am ready to dispose of it but I was thinking... it's so nicely packed with herbs and oils that I was thinking of sticking a wick in it and burning it like a candle. I was concerned about doing this because I know fire in disposal usually means you want to end the influence so I wanted to get advice before proceeding. Would it be okay to convert it into a candle or best to just bury it?

Hi Everyone,
I finally made and baptized a dollie of myself. I wanted to know where I should keep "her"? I generally sleep with her - and during the day leave her in my bed - although i don't want her to get lazy by being in bed all day

. I had read in one of the archives where Nagasiva so brilliantly talked about putting dollies in beds, i.e. a bed of roses which i thought was brilliant. I actually plan on doing that either from a box or constructing a mini bed...but in the meantime, I wanted to get some ideas from other members as to where they put their dollies, whether of themselves or love dollies.

I am ready to dispose of it but I was thinking... it's so nicely packed with herbs and oils that I was thinking of sticking a wick in it and burning it like a candle. I was concerned about doing this because I know fire in disposal usually means you want to end the influence so I wanted to get advice before proceeding. Would it be okay to convert it into a candle or best to just bury it?

I've been lurking for a little while on these forums and I have a question. I need to order a poppet from LM for some reversal work, and I wondered what exactly comes inside of a "stuffed but not fixed" doll. Can't find an exact description anywhere. Also, in the "stuffed and fixed" version of the doll, when LM "fixes" the doll with the personal effects and sends it to you, has the link to the target already been made, or would it still be necessary to link it yourself to the target when you get it back in the mail? Thanks!

How does one go about making a Doll Baby?

Ive seen them sold already made but Im guessing it is far better to craft one on your own, and I have no clue as to how to go about it.

This would be used for Love work if that helps?
