As has been discussed in this thread, either/or works. I personally prefer to start a honey jar with a full two or three weeks of candles dressed and burnt on it everyday, then moving on to a few days out of the week like the classic Monday-Wednesday-Friday set-up. But you don't have to do it that way.Aesir wrote:Hi guys,
Just a quick question. I've prepared a honey jar, to rekindle love. Was wondering about the burning of the candle. As I understand it, I should burn in on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays? Is that correct? I'm pretty sure that is correct as opposed to burning it everyday, but just wanted to check with other.
Thanks for any replies.

Anyone ever performed a honey jar to break up a couple or to get him back??? If so what steps did you take please? I’m just tired of spending soo much money in getting someone to cast a spell for me and they end up running away with my money.

A honey jar sweetens someone to you, it doesn't not break someone up. To break up a couple you want to look at a vinegar jar to end their relationship while a sweet jar can help bring one of the people over to you.

Hello Forum Members,
I am trying to start a honey jar to make the man I love fall desperately in love with me. He actually likes me a lot but is not brave enough to come to me and get in touch with me. As of now we dont even talk. He lives in another state.
I am planning to add his picture and my picture, our names, and rose petals but what specific herbs should I add to make it the most powerful honey jar ever !!!
Thanks !!!

I want to make a honey jar with the purpose of getting the people who will grade my exam papers to give me better grades. Now I don't know who will grade my papers, this is chosen randomly after my exams. I'm wondering what herbs would be appropriate to use in this situation. I've worked with honey jars with great success, but never for something like this.

Enthusiasm is the sister of success, but perhaps you should consider that he does not contact you and he lives in another state. You say he likes you a lot but is not brave enough to come OR get in touch with you? But is that his truth? Having a desperate man with a closet filled with secrets might not be so pleasant. Especially not if it is "the most powerful spell ever". People with many secrets, especially the fearful ones ("not brave enough") can be dangerous when they are desperate.
So, something to find out the truth should be added along with the usual sexual arousers, confusing powder and dominant roots to make him desperate and hungry. But do not go for "super power". Just a sweet touch on his mind and heart. Or that combo might be a bit more dramatic than bargained for.

I wasn't sure if I should post this here or in the candles section, sorry.
I just read Gamache's Master Book of Candle Burning and I was wondering if astral candles need to be used when burning candles on top of a honey jar. If so, what would the altar arrangement be? And would I burn the astral candle of the person I am working on, too?

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
No they do not have to be used at all. Some people enjoy working with them, others do not use them at all. If you like to work with them then of course you may do so in conjunction with your honey jar. I would burn the astral candle of the person you are working on behind the honey jar myself.sakura wrote:I wasn't sure if I should post this here or in the candles section, sorry.

I am so angry right now. My father went inside of my room without my permission and he saw the honey jar I am working on right now. Would that destroy the spell or magic? Please help!!

No it will not. "visualization". I have honey jars at my place of business. I moved them after a young child 5 or so touched "the area" one of them. No harm, an the innocence and curiosity of a child, only; however, I moved them. They are in plain sight, but they are out of "the grasp" of little hands. Now if a person or an Adult had the audacity to encrouch on my space, I would take measures and cleanse, etc. I did say a Prayer, The Lord's Prayer.
My Honey Jars have been working just fine, this was almost a year ago I think.
You can conceal a honey jar by the way, especially the (small, effective honey jars from Lucky Mojo).
I have and will keep the lights going on mine!
Good Luck!

Thank you. I was really angry when I just found out my dad went inside of my room. I am so afraid that would ruin the magic. I have been working on it for a year now. Sakura:
Astral candles are used to strengthen the link to the person using their birth sign and/or to add planetary energies and other astrological influences to the work. If you have hair or alike astral candles might be regarded as "overkill". But if you are working with a spell from Gamaches book and you are not a very experienced worker I suggest you follow the spell to the letter and use astral candles.
Personally I think it is a good experience for all workers to try astral candles at least a few times along with working with the LM planetary oils and products and perform the spell during the appropriate planetary days and hours.

Hey all.
I was wondering if it was at all possible to do a honey jar to sweeten someone to themselves? And if so, how would one go about making it for someone (as in, changes I'd have to make to the original honey jar spell)?
Any help would be wonderful.

This is just an opinion... I'd maybe include personal things of mine, a photo, a petition, etc... Maybe hope to love myself more, have more confidence, etc... I'd use healing herbs, love herbs and maybe light pink and white candles. Again, this is all just an opinion. I hope it helps. You have to love yourself first, there is only one you. Self love can open so many doors. Best of luck to you.

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
Thanks for the suggestions.
The situation is this: I'm making this honey jar for my younger sister, who would not touch magick with a 39 1/2 foot pole. Because of things said and done to her in the past out of jealousy (which, sadly, she does not seem to get) she is in sort of a non-self confident/semi self-hate/Depressed-ish state. I wanna get her self love flowing back to her, because she's got way too much going for her to be hating on herself.

You might also try some work with St. Dymphna for mental health. Since your sister is magic free, this might be a good avenue because it is a Catholic saint (I'm not sure of your religion, though). You could buy a fixed St. Dymphna candle from Lucky Mojo (http://www.luckymojo.com/mojocatcandles.html) and give it to her as a gift. This way, she will be backing up your work in her own home without even knowing it!
If even a candle dedicated to a saint would be too mystical for your sister's liking, I remember reading somewhere on this site that LM would remove the label or send a different one for "sneaky tricks", I tried looking for the link, but I've been through every page and archive, so it's impossible to remember where it was. =/ Call the store and I'm sure they'd be happy to help you!

It would be a good idea to do an Uncrossing on her first. You can use a doll or a photo and work with Uncrossing Incense, powders and Oil. An egg should be used as well. Then the result of the Honey Jar will most likely have a far stronger effect.LunaChanNekoJin wrote:The situation is this: I'm making this honey jar for my younger sister, who would not touch magick with a 39 1/2 foot pole. Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
Hello, I'm going to do a honey jar for a legal matter that I've been dealing with for quite some time. I have just a few simple questions:
A) Can you put more than one name in a honey jar..if you want to "sweeten" up to say, two people?
B) Can you do a honey Jar on a prosectutor..in hopes that they see your side, and settle the case or dismiss the charges?
lastly.. C), do you need a picture of anyone for it? Would putting a picture of them in the jar be helpful at all?
Thank you!

A) Yes.
B) You can always try.
C) The more you have on them the better. A picture with a name written on it would be a better link than just a name writtn on paper, if you could get it.
Adding this to the Gigantic honey jar thread in which you will see these same questions asked and answered multiple times.

If you are following a specific recipe, you would stick to the ingredients mentionend in there right? Unless you are a chef and in that case you would not have had to ask.
Follow the recipe you got. Best of luck!

This has probably been answered already but is it okay to add to a honey jar once it's started? I wanted to add some LM herbs. Let me know! Thanks..
Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
Thank you for your response Catherine.
I had one last question, and it's the same as daughter_of_flynn's. After you do a honey jar, can you open it up and add something? Will opening it ruin the effectiveness?

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
Yes you can open them, no it will not ruin anything. Some workers prefer not to open them once they are started, others have no compulsion against opening them to add more personal concerns or better ones, like adding a hair when all you had before was a business card.Nocturna wrote:Thank you for your response Catherine.

To add to turnsteel...some do not like to open it because they believe it contains the energy, and holds the energy. However if you open it up and are skilled enough than you should be able to keep the energy inside. I have done both open and not, and I have had effective results.
An alternative if you are scared of opening the honey jar is to recreate a name paper and put the personal concern inside there ...fold it appropriately...and put it underneath the honey jar.

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
If you are scared of opening a honey jar, you can take some LM Protection Powder and make a small circle around the jar. Then open it and do whatever you are going to do. Then close it up and pray. Then remove the powder and dispose of it in a suitable manner. Or keep it until next time you want to manipulate the contents of your jar and dispose of the powder with the rest of the ritual remains at the end of the spell.

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
I had a pretty awful fight with my best friend the other day and I want to make things right. I've apologized, sent a very heart-felt email to her (she won't take a phone call and lives in another state, so face-to-face is not something that can happen) and lit candles for peace and healing. She has said that "it's okay" - but we're sort of passive aggressive people, her and I, so even if she says it's okay, those words mean that it's not really okay at all.
I want to make a honey jar to sweeten her back, so that we can make our friendship stronger and as amazing as it once was (this girl is my platonic soul mate, not even kidding). I've made a love honey jar in the past, but I know the herbs will be different. Other than cloves, what else can I put in? The possibilities of personal effects being within the jar is zero - resident of another state being the issue around that - but I can get a picture and maybe print out her words from emails from the past?
Also, I've experienced slippage when I try to adhere the candle to the top of my jar. Is it all right to place it in a holder, or does the candle need to be flush with the top of the jar?
I love this girl to the moon and back and cannot imagine what life would be like without her; I am human, I messed up, I know that I cannot act in the way I did in the future. The idea of her not being there to share the beautiful moments of my life with me makes my heart ache.

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
I made my first honey jar, with sugar (personal preference) a bit over a week ago. Felt like a good jar - added my petition, alfalfa, a whole nutmeg, cinnamon stick, fenugreek, bay leaf for protection, a pyrite mineral gemstone, citrine & aventurine gemstones, a magnatite sphere, and two pennies I had recently found on the street, and also a double ended quartz to add a little oomph.
The only glass jar that I could get a hold of at the time had a thick glass top. Just recently I found coloured glass jars with a metal screw top and wanted to ask if I can transfer the honey jar? But then today things went a bit differently than expected.
I would initially burn a green candle in stages. Always burned fine. High, strong, steady flame, very little wax left. Since Thursday I kept a green candle burning without extinguishing it and starting a new candle from the old flame. I had planned to let the candle I started last night from the previous flame burn itself out and go back to burning a new candle in stages. This morning the candle in question was just about done, so I prayed over it (psalm 23). While I did that, the flame that was a mere pinprick grew bigger. There was more wax left than on the days before. For one because I had to make sure there was enough liquid wax there for each new candle. Anyways, I kept praying, then left it, did some chores.
When I came back there were two flames - there were several pieces of wick from the other candles in a small pool of liquid wax, and another piece of wick had joined in with last night's candle. I prayed some more and was also contemplating a change of plan, to start a new candle from these flames and by doing so extinguishing the double flame by placing the new candle into the already molten wax. Then... I always have my hands next to the glass jar, and I touched one of the solid wax pieces with my finger and pushed it towards the flame. This was not intentional. Just happened. One of the flames grew smaller and started to flicker. I pushed the wax back to its original position and prayed some more. The flame settled down. Then the two flames became one. So I left it. It was kind of a wide, cone shaped flame. Soon a third piece of wick joined in from the side at about a 90 degree angle, still forming a single cone at the top. I figured this will burn the remaining wax quickly now and decided to follow the original plan to let it burn itself out. Then a fourth piece of wick joined in, forming an X at the bottom but still producing what looked like a single cone of a flame at the top. ...and then the top of the glass jar cracked. Too much heat. Shortly after the flames go out. As far as I can tell none of the wax had dripped directly into the sugar. It ran off the side then stopped, barely touching the sugar. I can see a few pieces of the herbs inside a small tear of wax.
So... I guess it is time to start a new money honey jar? Or can I transfer the contents into a new jar? If not, what do I do with the old jar? I am moving soon, don't want to leave anything behind here, this place has a lot of negative energy. Also, can I use some of the items in the old honey jar for a new one? Like the pennies I found (just recently found a dime, so I can use that for a new jar), or the double ended quartz because those are so hard to find around here. In other spells the chrystals are usually easily cleansed in a bath of sea water, ideally put into the sun (out today, so ideal) and reused.
I don't get anything negative from this. On the contrary, while this was going on it felt quite powerful. Your thoughts are appreciated.

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
The LM Reconciliation honey jar can be used to reconcile platonic relationships as well as romantic ones, so I would either get the Reconciliation honey jar kit, or a packet of the Reconciliation herbs to use when crafting your own jar. You can, of course, add friendship herbs like cloves to the mix to fine-tune it if you wish.

I am not sure you can really assess the double flames etc as anything extraordinary because you did have leftover pieces of wick stuck in the wax. I generally clean up each candle before putting another one. I know that large curios can be saved to make a new mojo bag so I would think the dimes, quartz etc could be used to make a new jar as well. good luck

Folks who don't listen to instructions get cracked glass all the time. Instructions on my free web page and all the honey jars we sell come with METAL lids. It's as simple as that.

It is quite common for people to leave the wax on jars. Sometimes old wax and such will catch flame and can indeed be used for divination purposes. Omens are interpreted from such burns.
As to the breaking, stop using a glass lid.

Lesson learned. If nothing else is available though, you use what you can get your hands on... Finally got a nice jar with a metal lid, happens to be made out of green glass. The question unanswered is if I can just transfer the contents to that new jar or if I have to start a new one? The glass lid is still usable btw, the wax and the plastic stopper are holding everything together, so I could even keep using the one I have...

Would honey jar still be the right thing to go with if my ex and I are still in touch but he won't forget why we broke up and wants to move on? It was mistakes we both made. His was actions based on a tragic loss and mine reactions to his. I love him and want him back like before. We almost got married. I dream oh his late mom saying she likes me for her son and I'm the best for him. If only she went to his dreams and made him realize that too :$

A Reconciliation honey jar would be a very good step in the plan, definitely. You may want to combine that with the Reconciliation complete spell-kit, too.

However, I would also recommend that you get a reading and consultation with an AIRR rootworker to help you form a plan that is tailored specifically to your situation.

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
acresofdiamonds, i don;t see how i could "transfer the contents" of a broken spell to another bottle or jar. The magical concentration and focus of will would be lost for me. It would just become a mechanical act, like washing dishes or storing left-overs in the refrigerator.
There is no "rule" that forbids you to do it -- folk magic is not a role-playing game -- but based on my decades of experience, i would not do it and i would recommend that you do not. Admit and acknowledge that your inexperience and lack of foresight into the realities of the laws of physics led to an accident that spoiled the spell, and start over.

Missps2010, a honey jar is great for that purpose. Balms of Gilead is a wonderful addition to such jars and can help cultivate forgivness for past hurts.

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
Hi-
I interviewed for a job last Thursday. Its a position I would like to have as well as I found another job online that is really suitable for me as well. I want to create a honey jar for both of the jobs but the second one I have not interviewed for and the only supplies I have are crown of sucess oil, steady work powder, lady luck oil, pay me oil and money drawing. I have the business card for the first job I interviewed for and i have a name for the second job that I would love to as well. I dont think I have enough time to order anything from LM because of shipping time. What else can I do in the mean time to get these jobs to notice me? I really would love to work for one of these companies.

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
Hello everyone,
I just had a question regarding a honey jar I had started and the candle burning on it...
It is a boss fix honey jar that I got when I visited the LM shop...well, I lit a candle for today, and I've been working the jar for a couple weeks now, trying to get a promotion nothing at work outstanding has happened for me but I know it takes time, anyway, when I lit the candle today as it burned all the way down it re lit another candle wick that was melted ontop of the honey jar then that wick burnt until it burnt all the way out.
Any idea what this may mean? Please let me know your insight if you have any.
Thanks!

It means there were old wicks on top of the jar, lol. That's just what happens. Did the flame behave in any unusual way? Were there any images left in the wax? Those can tell you something, but a leftover wick is usually going to do that and I personally don't ascribe much meaning to it unless the flames do something to make me think otherwise.fresh_pots wrote:Hello everyone,

yeah, there were old wicks that, you know were from the other candles I burn ontop of the jar....I just thought it was strange that the one wick burnt all the way down and re lit another wick that was ontop of the jar...It was more like, what are the chances of that? So, I thought maybe it meant something.
Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
I have read so many different ways to do the honey jar. Although, I love this forum it can be quite confusing taking in all the different styles of conjure. I have a reconciliation honey jar going on my ex. The situation has gotten worse. I was informed, by none other than Miss Cat, that I could open my jar and add my lawyer's name and the name of the judge that will be hearing my case.
While others in the forum, It appears to me, seem to suggest that adding anything beside your original intent would be a no-no. I'm confused. Am I right in believing that the altered intent is what REALLY matters and that there are just different strokes for different folks - in terms of conjure?
When I add the names to the jar how exactly do you suggest I do that?
Curious and a believer.

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
I read this entire thread and its given me some great ideas for my love honey jar. This is the first time I've made a honey jar for love, though, so I hoped I could get some feedback on my jar. I intend for the jar to sweeten my partner and me to each other and improve on all aspects of our relationship: friendship, communication, cooperation, love, passion, and sex. We just got out of a really bad period (thank you St. Anthony for your help) and I also want to honey jar to help smooth things over.
These are the herbs I picked out: cloves, Balm of Gilead buds, Rose petals, Lavender, Borage, Basil, Lemongrass, Damiana, and Ginger
And I bought Reconciliation Oil, Fire of Love, Chuparosa, and Kiss me Now oils to dress the candles depending on our relationship's more specific need. Does this sound good?

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
Ophioglossum, your idea sounds great, and well thought out.
Meme, you are unclear as to who made the honey jar. If it was Lucky Mojo, could you tell us which one you ordered? Was it Return / Reconciliation? If so, did you order a dozen extra pink candles and that the spell is to be continues for three days a week until you get results?
Did you put personal concerns, herbs, and such in the jar?
Did you pray over the jar?
Did you dress the candle with oil?
As to how long to wait, we are very clear that people seeking reconciliation or return through magic should set a time limit on the work, and work faithfully for the entire duration of that time.
I have added your post to the long honey jar thread and i hope you read it, because there is not much i can answer to your questions, since you have not provided much information.

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
So, I've been working my job promotion/ boss fix honey jar I got from LM shop since April 6th.
I have yet to see any improvement or movement at work. I still am getting the short end of the stick, and things are going the same if not somewhat worse...any idea on what I could do?
Let me know...thanks.

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
If you are not working the jar daily, start doing so. If you didn't include concerns from the bosses, try to get some and add them to the jar - a foot track, a hair, a direct signature, etc.
You may also wish to deploy some tricks at the office - like laying down some Boss Fix powders where it will be walked on, and wearing a Commanding-type mojo while at work to help you be perceived as a respectable and responsible employee who is good for the business.
And of course you can always consider a reading and consultation with a professional rootworker from AIRR: http://www.readersandrootworkers.org

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
I am working on a honey jar with red and pink candle.
For the pink candle dressed with reconciliation, FMB and love me oil, it burns clearly and no wax left, but for red one, dressed with love me, fire of love, quite a bit of wax left.
And few days ago, while burning a pink candle to the end, it burns up most the red wax left in the previous burning.
I want to reconcile with him and make him think of me, I would like to ask for this case, in fact I should keep on burning in pink or red candle?
