Husband left me after being together 18 years—16 married. Wondering if I should move on or if there is any hope for reuniting our family, as he is the only family I have and he kept me pretty isolated, so I don’t have many close friends. Also would like to know what I can do to help my son through this and need employment. I am already planning family therapy and am pursuing employment. He told me this week that he wants to divorce me immediately. It’s hard for me to imagine just ending such a long and involved relationship just like that. I don’t know if I will be able to continue to deal with all of these things at once, or even where to begin, besides the obvious getting a job and counseling. I was laid off my job in March 2010 and started a Bakery. At the time I was in the process of buying my house. Hence to say, I can't get a house financed as a business owner for only 8 months and no "job" per se. The home owner is antsy and keeps asking if I want to buy the house and I have told her yes. I love the house but I really don't want to stay but I don't want to get put out either. In the ideal situation, my online business would increase drastically and I could move to California. I don't know what to do in the meantime. Will I get put out because of my inability to buy the house right now or should I just look for a job in California and work my business on the side in CA.
