Once the candle is burned out you remove the name paper, burn it and put the ashes in your shoe.

Re: Law Keep Away Vigil Candle Questions and Answers
A name paper is a paper on which one writes the name of the person or people whom one wishes to affect, along with additional text such as commands, prayers, your name, or general wishes. It may be augmented with symbolical drawings and sigils, dressed with powders and/or oils, folded around a selection of magically appropriate herbs, or in other ways fixed for the purpose at hand.

Re: Law Keep Away Vigil Candle Questions and Answers
Hello,
I would like to know, what color candle should be used with the Law Keep Away oil?
I noticed the fixed candle is blue, the spell kit is black, and the instructions says use red.
Thanks.

Hi loving_me,
the candle colour you choose will depend on what exactly the aim of using the oil is. You can work with the candle colour ascriptions described on the following page: http://www.luckymojo.com/candlemagic.html#colour
Dark blue can be used to confuse, brown would be used if you're working within the context of a court case, black would be to repel and be freed from the law while red would be to impose your will and win over theirs (symbolically ''going to war'')
Hope this helps.

Re: Law Keep Away Vigil Candle Questions and Answers
How do i dress a Law Keep Away way candle with oil to get my son out of legal trouble?
I plan to put three holes in top all the way to the bottom and fill with oil to burn.
Middle to top, then middle to bottom? Or bottom up towards top or vice versa?
Also, how do i mark the candle's glass and my prayer petition with crosses in the oil?
I need to burn it asap. I did one once before for another son of mine but cant remember exactly how I did it. It did work in our favor and it felt right.
Help me please.

Re: Law Keep Away Vigil Candle Questions and Answers
Our candles come already dressed with oil and herbs (holes filled with oil, herbs on top). It would seem to me that you are not a custoer of ours, or you would not ask this question.
Normally, we moderators and administrators delete all questions regarding products purchased from other companies -- after all, it costs money and time to run this forum, and if you want to buy elsewhere, then you should ask your other supplier to run a forum for you.
However, in your case, because this involves your son, and i feel for you as a mother, i will reply -- but i will not make a habit of it, okay?
To "dress" a candle is to put the oil in or on it. Therefore, poking the holes in a glass vigil candle and adding the oil IS dressing it.
Free standing candles are dressed differently, and this is where the idea that you call "Middle to top, then middle to bottom? Or bottom up towards top or vice versa" comes into play. Most people either dress bottom to top to protect or they use the method found in the great book "Legends of Incense, Herb, and Oil Magic", which is to dress fro the middle up and from the middle down, to magnetize the andle, praying all the time. Psalms 35 is appropriate.
To mark the glass or a petition with oil, you just tip up the oil bottle, get som oil on your finger tip and draw the crosses.
Best of luck to you.

"Law Keep Away is an old hoodoo formula for oil, incense, sachet powders, and bath crystals that are designed to make agents of the law stay away from one. It is most often utilized as a type of magical spell of protection, but it can also augment the "luckiness" factor in money spell work as well."

Re: Law Keep Away Vigil Candle Questions and Answers
Our prepared 8" glass-encased vigil lights come with a dressing of oils and herbs and will burn for 5 - 7 days, depending on ambient temperature and other factors.
If you wish to set a traditional Novena of nine days, you will either have to start and stop the candle (which can result in a smoky glass), or purchase two candles to run continually over the 9-day period.
Always practice fire safety when setting vigil lights. If you must keep them lit when you are away or asleep, be sure that no pets or children can get into the room with them, that they are not near curtains or flammable cloth or paper, and that you have a smoke alarm in your house. Placing lit vigils in the bathtub is quite common, but you must not have a shower curtain if you use this method. Setting them into a fireplace is ideal, as there is a ready-made chimney for them.
